Music: Going Up by Lakey Inspired

Hey guys, for some reason, I didn't record like an intro. I just went right into the cap construction of this week, but this is Darius Gina and I hope you guys enjoy this synthetic wig review. So you lace all around the perimeter. You have that part in space there you get a lot of part in space, it looks like five inches. This is high heat safe up to 400° and it is Remmy fiber. It has a comb on the right side, that's closer to the part of the space right here, and then they have one on the far left a comb in the back and the adjustable straps. I want to take off my weak grip now by the time this video goes up. I told you guys on well. I actually got on my community tab on YouTube. What are some synthetic wig questions that you guys have that you would like me to address in my synthetic 101 week series now I started this wig series back in 2015, but I haven't been like super consistent with it. I made two really good videos in 2018. At the beginning, but then I didn't - I stopped after those two videos, so I'm gon na try to make that series more of a staple on my channel. So I can teach you guys more stuff outside of you know, just the wig reviews so look out for those videos in that series, so I'm gon na try this on with out the Wicker it alright umm without my wig rip. This is this cat feels at the most at the most a medium. It feels kind of snug and my hair is braided flat. I feel like I got some hump action at the at the room. I know you guys see that, so this is what Gina is looking like, like the way that is falling, I'm not feeling, but alright. What is going on here? I'M trying to cuz it's got like uh-oh. Oh, come on! That'S a weird, just in one section. At the front of mine is like filler here, so it's like when I comb it you'll get like you see how that's kind of stopping right there cuz it's like a line of feeling hair right there. I think. That'S weird. You know we might still be okay. So I am gon na cut the lace off and then we're gon na apply it and see alright. So I cut the lace and y'all see that hump. That is something serious okay, so I'm not filling that hump. So I have a hot comb plugged up. It'S it is this week is heat safe up to 400°, so we're gon na. Do that cuz without me doing that to the top of the wig, it won't look natural. My hair is flat underneath this, so it should not be this puffy, so it has filler hairs in it. So that's already a con, but we're gon na try to fix it. I might label this video how to remove a hump from a synthetic weed, because that could be a part of a sense of the synthetic 101 series, because some people don't know how to do that. Now, with this synthetic 101 series, a lot of the information is going to be super basic and beginner friendly, because the last time I did a synthetic 101 video was at the beginning of 2018, and I have more subscribers and probably more wig beginners. So I need to accommodate them and it could be a refresher for people who are intermediate or advanced. You know, okay, what do we looking like? Okay, that works there. We go it's much more flat. Now we need to think about this bank area cuz like seriously. If I you know how like, when you go through wigs, you can do the Flip bang, but they got filling hairs right at the root. I don't know why they did that. So I want to see what I can do up here finishes odd. How didn't meet that this? Her hair are like an extra WestEd, filler hair part all right here, and it's on this side too. I don't know why they did that. The density on the hairline is actually really nice, though it's like it's a lighter density in the front which looks very natural but bright years with it. Where that filler hair starts, I'm actually not even going to glue this down with free spray, because it's already really flat, I'm just going to put some powder. In my part, okay, I'm gon na gel them kind of do some soft baby hairs. It comes with a big hairs already, as you guys can see, they did a pretty good job with them. I think they do a good job yeah. So so far, the only issue I'm having was a the hump action that was at the top. That was pretty significant and then it has some filler hairs after the hairline starts. That looks a little that feels weird and that's what it's looking like now I did a little bit leg hairs there. So I'm gon na take my Maybelline fit me. Press powder and 3:30 toffee and I'm going to use my makeup brush and just add some powder on the lace, because this is synthetic. So you can't bleach your nuts, like you would with a human hair wig. So you just have to use your powder and with powder I use the same powder I use for my face. Some people go a little bit lighter, but just using the same exact one that I use for my face. It'S perfect for me and that's one less product to buy, but I see why you wouldn't throw a shake lighter, because your actual scalp is lighter than like. Your face so, but this actually just works fine for me, but do whatever works for you, hey guys, I've finally finished styling Gina and a number two. So, as I say it, the cap on this week is on the smaller side, in my opinion, small to medium. I still work wig rip, though, because I did what I have to spray and you got to be glue nor anything on the lace, and it is money really flat without any help of any adhesive or you know, got to be glued. So that is a pro for me because a lot of times when I am reaching when I put wigs in my rotation, that is one thing I think about am I gon na have to do a lot of things to apply it. The only exception that I have for that is my braid it week like. I will go all out with the got to be glued with a got to be glue, spray and stuff, because it's really hard to wear a pregnant wig without using some kind of adhesive. But anyway, so I didn't have to use that initially, you guys saw that huge hump that was at the top. I was not feeling it at all, so the hot home was a lifesaver. This is a andis or andis hot comb and I got mine from Amazon. I use this on my human hair and synthetic wigs, and so far I haven't burned any of my synthetic weeks using that. So that's really good this week actually reminds me a lot of bobby box, Claudia that I reviewed in 2017. This is really cute, really really really cute nice everyday week. I don't know - I'm probably gon na be reaching for this one a lot, because this is a nice everyday cute. Look it's 14 inches, in my opinion, so on an average, I'm 6 feet tall, as I always tell you guys, because you guys know taller women or taller people in general when they wear certain weeks. It'S gon na look a lot shorter on this because we have longer necks and everything, so this is going to be slightly longer on people who are average height or just shorter. So this is what it looks like in the back. I think it has a really nice density. I don't feel any tracks or anything like that. I was turned off by like this roll of filler here around the front, but I'm not met to man about it because right before the filler hairs, there is a really nice hairline, like the hairline on this week, is to me it's like it's pre plugs. I didn't do anything to it. I feel, like it looks very natural. I did was add some powder and I thought that it looked really good and I did add a little bit of baby hairs just to add a little something to the hairline. I have a few strands yeah. I do have some strands here in there have some shedding, but it's not too bad. As far as tangling goes, I have not experienced any tangling my hands glide right through it. That'S a natural luster, but I will say since I flat ironed or I used to hot comb at the root. It is a bit more shiny at the root now and it feels a lot more silky because I use the hot comb. So keep that in mind. Before you use a hot tool, because this is synthetic, it won't revert back to its original texture, because it's not human hair with human hair. If you wash it it's going to revert back to its original state. But this is not it's going to be a permanent change. If you use a hot tool, you could always recur'ls your stuff with you, don't going to be curls synthetic wigs, but it is shinier at the root because I used to hot comb. But that does not bother me. I think it's actually a lot prettier, because it's laying flat and it looks more natural - I like that it has this like swoop over here. It'S not it's not like a big swoop like with Claudia Claudia, a little bit shorter, but this is very similar to Claudia the it's just different and how its curled at the bottom. These are kind of like barrel curls, whereas with Claudia its bumped under. So you got ta kind of comb. These ends in the direction that you want them to be in so they're, not going everywhere. So, overall, I think that Gina is a very pretty wig and it's something I'm probably gon na be putting in my rotation and my rotation. I mean I don't wear every single wig that i review, but there are wigs that i reach for more often than all the weeks that i have because they're just easier to wear and they look nice. It'S probably going to be on my rotation. So if you are interested in Gina I'll leave some links down below to where you can purchase her, I thank you guys so much for watching this video. If you enjoyed it, give this video a thumbs up, and please share it with somebody that could somebody that you think would like this kind of wig, and I will see you guys in the next video bye, guys.

TheHeartsandCake90: Hey guys! You can also use foam wrap and a paddle brush to get rid of hump action, as well as turning it inside out on a mannequin head. There’s more than one way to get rid of hump action! If you have another way on doing it comment below :)

Amethyst is Living & Cleaning with Disability: I just ordered Gina yesterday and I am going to go back and look at all your 101 series and look forward to your teaching. I lost all my hair last year to chemotherapy and you are really helping ladies like me. Thanks!

ANGELAMARY FUSSEY: Yay! Because of you I learned how to pluck and cut lace. My fam now comes to me because I can make things more realistic. Thank you for more lessons.

Simply Sherelle : Besides foam wrap and hot comb, a blow dryer also helps. This unit is so cute and natural on you

Tandra McTighe: I swear I haven't seen 1 wig that doesn't look good on you and I've been watching you for years!

sacha may: Love this review and tutorial. I am glad that you are doing more synthetic wigs tutorials again.

GlamDiva_J: That’s crazy how a hump can mess up the look of a good wig. But I’m luvin this one after you got rid of the hump. Super cute

Scottish Lass: I like to flatten and straighten my units out by putting my unit on a foam head on a tripod in the shower and pouring ultra hot water (never boiling hot!) over the fibers. Our water temp on the highest setting is usually hot enough to just use the hand-held shower head, but in the winter months sometimes I use water that I've heated up on the stove because the tap water just doesn't get hot enough. This also helps reduce that wiggy, poofy permatease that some wigs have. There are videos on YT that show you how to do this. It's much faster and less pulling/kinking from trying to brush it through and also no direct heated metal plates on the fibers like you get when you use a flat iron on your heat-ok units. I've had great success with it.

Keisha M: This is a beautiful wig! I love the texture & density! I have it in a 99J and after your tips I'll be picking up the #2 for more of an everyday look. It definitely reminds me of Claudia which is one of my favorites.

BJ Jackson: Great job!! I enjoy and have learned some good information from your videos. I worked on a wig too day with what I called short hairs....now I know it is filler hairs. I have seen you use the hot comb before so I used that technique. Thanks keep these 101 videos coming!! ❤️❤️

Kimira Jewels: Great video as usual ❤️. Thank you for the tip about the hump. I have a few wigs that I still need to review that I have a feeling I may need to remove the hump for.

GsoChic: I’m so glad that you are doing this series. I would like to purchase some wigs and synthetic wigs are always cheaper than human hair wigs. I know they require some work, I’m sure your series will help us newbies out.

K. Gray-Jackson: Omg I needed this. This unit looks very natural and beautiful on you. Thanks for sharing!

Rene'e Johnson: You look so Pretty Brittany! I don't know how you do it! I fight with my wigs for days to get a a nice look on me! I truly believe that God gave you a Gift in styling these wigs and making them look like it's your own hair. Amazing!

Vyv: Thank you! I just bought kimani from Outre and it is giving me major bump action and had tons of filler hair. (A bump + easily seen track..so bumbed) I’ll try to flatten the top and make the back a bit smaller , as its too big on the back.

Jetime Love: Your tutorials are excellent! Thanks

Charity Drakeford: I likeeey! I like the way you combed the curls and turned them in a very good looking way! Go Britt!

Gyna Paul: I love this unit!! It looks so natural. Like it's a yaki. Which I really like.

patrice moore: This unit is very natural looking. It looks nice on you !!

Tosha Rae: What is the best way to stay cool in your wig? I’ve tried putting one of those wet cool wraps under my wig but I couldn’t snap it right. I just get too damn hot in my wigs. Nothing worse than sweating when you’re trying to look cute and put together

Nikki Laniece: Real cute! Not a huge fan of fillers either. I still need to get my hands on a hot comb!

Arniessie Owens: I agree with you it's a very nice wig. Some wigs even if they're synthetic you have to put a little extra effort into but as usual you rocked it!

tubes200708: This is very pretty and natural looking.

Jackie aka Poopiesteetee: Another slay!!! It looks so natural on you!!

Mocha_Goodness: Darn! I just got this unit in the mail yesterday and I haven't even tried it on yet. I did not expect that I was going to have to deal with a hump.

Melanin Circle of Unity: I watch all of your videos/tutorials & I love the way you install & style your wigs. But sis I find myself ffwd most of them up to the install.

B G: I would cut some layers in the bang if I purchase this unit. But per usual, you always slay and make it work!

Kecia Jones: That’s so pretty and natural looking!!

Deborah M: Whatever they did wrong to the wig you made it look right! Gorgeous!

Sabrina Carten: Love this wig!!! Thanks for the info on hump removal.

ajgurl23: This was helpful. I got a wig from Bobbi boss with a hump that I haven't worn out yet. Good video!

ShareeReneé: I Needed this. Thank youuuu!

Tina Marie: Yes this is toooo CUTE. Very natural looking.

One Frugal Introvert: I feel like every wig looks great on you! How do you store your wigs? Do you keep them in the original packaging or on stands? I have two from the hair store that didn’t come in boxes, so I’m not sure how to store them.

Lindsay Caudill Wright: What can you do about the hump in a wavy/curly wig? Specifically the Motown Tress Fara (which I wear as a middle part, not side).

Meekah Lynne: Great tips for the newbies. Gina looks waaaay better after that hot comb

lynsie.bear: Teach me your ways woman! P.S. Got my wig from the giveaway

ablckdiamd1: Love the info! Im so glad you did this.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Les M: What temperature do you set the hot comb to get the hump out?

Deborah Roberts: OH MY GOODNESS THAT WIG IS PRETTY ON YOU I LOVE THE UNITS WITH 4BY4 OR MORE PARTING SPACE MAYBE THEY MADE A MISTAKE BUT IT'S PRETTY

Anita Rushlow: It looks beautiful!! Can you explain how to put in some baby hairs? I just bought my first wig at age 62!!

Johiquelle W.T.: This is so pretty on you. Looks super natural.

Angee B: Thank You! I just learned about the hot comb method

Deborah Barrow: This is beautiful on you & it is similar to Bobbi Boss Claudia Another brilliant & helpful review

Patricia Agboro: I have a question: how to determine if a wig is a left or right part. I ask this because I am a left part person and most wigs are right (there aren't many that are left part or can be shifted). I have brought wigs with the belief of it being left parted, but it was right...sigh

TREW HIT: Left side part and it's on the shorter side? That's a win- win. Thanks Britney.

Deniese Wynne: That looks so much better!! I never buy a unit with filler hairs

Clarissa Thompson: What do you do about the tangling in the back of the wig?? It always happens to me and then i end up throwing it away

CT K: Hi, I'm a beginner wig wearer. I found your video very informative. Sooo the hump is just the hair needing to be smoothed by a hot comb? It feels like the lace is popping up off my head, like a cone, I have a cone head. I've tightened the wig. It's not lace front. I will get a hot comb and go from there. Thank you for your time✌️

Shamese Kibby: The queen b of units, you have done it again this unit looks beautiful

Danielle Joseph: Do you think powder or foundation will fix a lace that's too dark for ones skin tone?

L G: I've used thinning shears to take out some of the bulk.

KyReviews: ill need a hot comb lol cuz i do struggle with the hump action v_v Thanks for sharing :)

Michelle Robinson Carter: Looks good. Where did you get your small brush for baby hairs? Thanks in Advance!

Ink Pen: Literally looks like your own hair. If I saw you in public I wouldn't even think its a wig at all...wow

Antaneaus Thomas: I need to do that I usually use the foam wrap and paddle brush... like you said

Denise Jones: How do you maintain your synthetic wigs? Shampoo, conditioner mousse you use? Also do you usually co-wash your wigs before wearing it do you wear it straight out the pack

Ivy Rose: I'd never heard of filler hairs before. Is it just added hair that makes it look thicker? Is it the same length of hair of the whole wig? Sorry I got a little confused. What's the difference between a thick wig and filler hairs?

Angel Loves Drawing: She’s really cute! Do you have any recommendations for something that looks like a below the shoulder version of Heaven?

Tia: I think this wig is so beautiful, but I'm not puttin in that much work lol!

callmeapple83: #1 does your necklace say 1990 and where did you get it? I need a 1984!! And 2nd... what number did you set your hot comb on?

Norma: I have one question: is it legal to be this pretty???

Ashanti Tucker: Ooh my goodness, you are sooo gorgeous ! Beautiful wig as well !!

passionatereader isme: helpful

LaTonya Clark: That’s too bad about the filler hairs bc they ruined such a pretty wig.

Brandy Hunt: Thank you, because I have a wig like that only its human and the hump action is serious too....

Charlegmayne Gholson: I don't have a hot comb. Will a flat iron on a lower setting work?

Brandy Hunt: On a human wig with the hump action can I tweeze some out??

Honey Sweet: Really cute!

myessence34: Hi Again,  Where can I find the site where you sell your wigs?

Stilllookingood58: Man! I hate filler hair. Ruins a pretty wig

Vashti Collins: I really like this unit, but is it a left part wig or right? I am definitely a right part girl and I don't like left parts. Please let me know before I order one.

All Love: I love Zury

wanderys1: Which do you like better Gina or Jojo?

megajustme09: Cute style

Sharay Browning: Is this wig shiny? It’s hard to tell

I AM ClearAsCrystal: Can you cut that weft out? I prob would have with my crazy self! lol

olivia_ twyst: So that comb ain’t that hot, I guess?

Whitney’s Playbook: What color is this?
