Hi guys and welcome back to my channel so today i'm going to be doing another video on an amazing protective style. You natural girls know we need to make sure that we're protecting our hair. So we're always looking for quick and easy ways to do it, and this is it i'm not doing what i do so. I just got my hair straightened about a week ago, and i did that so that i could get the proper trim and maintain health with my hair. So let me just do a quick lint check so that you can see how long my hair is. Currently, as you can see, it's about nine inches long, and i want to sustain this style for another week, so i want to do a protective style that will allow me to have more time with it. Let'S get into this video, this hair is from the doula hair. This is the v part body wave wig, it's definitely an upgrade from the. U part wig, and what i love about this unit is that it requires minimal work. It is beginner friendly and is super easy to install. I am loving the curls that are offered in this particular unit and i absolutely adore the construction of this hair and you're going to notice along the parting that you do not have those wefts. Like you parts, you have like this mesh material that allows for a more seamless or realistic look. So if we look at the inside of the unit, we have along the parting two clips on each side. You have two combs on the side. You have one clip at the top and then you have one comb at the back and you have your adjustable straps just in case the unit is too big. Before i install the unit, i'm going to prepare my hair and you're going to notice that i'm just going to keep it as simple and as easy as possible. So to prepare my hair for this install i'm just going to part my hair down the middle and then on each side of my part, i'm going to allow for less than an inch of hair to be out, because this is a v part unit. It does not require a whole lot of leave out, i'm going to pour some hair on the front just to make it look natural along my edge lines as well. Instead of using that anchor braid, i'm just going to slip the rest of my hair back into a low pony so that it's not visible while i'm wearing this unit. I love that the company used clips instead of cones, because the clips allow for a more seamless look along the parting so to install this unit. All you need to do is pull it forward and then you'll slide the hair down along each side of the parting. Then you'll take your clips and you'll pull them back so that it kind of makes a slight u-shape once they're pulled back slide them into your hair. Hear that snap sound once you hear that snap sound you'll know that it's secure to your hair and it's not going anywhere. Okay, and i love the fact that they use clips because it allows the hair to lay a lot flatter. Now, when many people install v parts or u-part wigs, they will use an anchor braid along the size of their parting, just to make sure that the wig is secure and that it doesn't go anywhere now because of the clips that this company has used. I don't need that actual anchor braid, which also saves me extra time. So now i'm going to go in along the perimeter of my hair and just slide in my combs all right so now my hair is all secure and i'm ready to start flat ironing just a quick and simple hack. Just in case you have excess unit hanging out in the front. All you have to do is go along that corner, just cut it so that it's a little bit more rounded and that'll, give it a flatter more natural look. So my hair blends fairly well with this hair, i did have to press it just a bit but not a whole lot. It did not require a whole lot of pressing, so i should not have anything before i start flat. Ironing my hair, i'm going to apply heat protectant. You always want to apply a heat protectant, just to save your hair from any heat damage. The heat protectant that i'm going to be using is by ic, and this is their straightening spray, and i've been using this for a while, and it seems to work fairly well, okay, so my hair is all set and we're ready to go so the flat iron That i'm going to be using is by anders - and this is a ceramic flat iron and i paid like under 20 for this full iron. I don't feel like. I need one of those expensive ones, because i don't really straighten my hair at all. If i do get it straightened, i will typically go to the salon. So that's not something that i need and it works fairly. Well, it gets the job done. So if you don't want to spend a lot of money, look into this particular brand and this flat iron i purchased on amazon for less than twenty dollars. So if you need one of those cheap flat irons that gets the job done. Looking to end this, it's a great company, you're gon na see a little bit of heat, but that's just a combination of the heat protectant and the heat from the flat iron. I think i set my flat iron to only about 10, which is not high at all, and i'm actually really loving these body waves. They are perfect for the holidays. The density of this hair is 150, so it's quite full. This hair comes in 14 inches to 26 inches. However, mine is in 24 inches, so it stops at my waist. So i do want to show you just one look that you can do with this unit, so i'm loving the way that this hair looks on me. I think the company did an amazing job with this unit. Um, it's pretty seamless, it's easy to install girl. I swear that it ain't fair me coming at me, but none of these girls me girl. You know you're cute. I hope that you all enjoyed this video.
