Hi everyone welcome back to my channel. My name is zen and if you are new here i am a designer. I do mostly wedding gowns. I do soji dollars here. Please subscribe and hit notification bell, so you never miss out on a new video. I made this prom dress two years ago, says client and now it's back for some alteration da hill, her younger cousin for her prom night. So in this video go convert not in this from zipper to lace-up style, the guatemalan loops from bias strips then we'll do some hand sewing pressing and marami and also gagawadina, covering for the back very democratic skin and, of course, young straps in paris. Elisa to cut strips of fabric, so one inch from width, so you grab a two to three strips of fabric: finishing cutting bias. Pairing dynamic editor is fabric garlic's, a circular skirt, so national stretch. I have a detailed tutorial of this on how to make shoelace traps or spaghetti straps. The link is in the description below next is to turn the straps inside out use loop, turner or young needles after turning it inside out by two inches long. The next conga government is to sim rip the zipper so ayan was hand, stitched i'll, be keeping the zipper we'll be using the zipper tape. Loops next step is to mark the placement loops s zipper, because i find it easier for me to sew down the loops edge zipper tape. I also use pointed tweezers zipper, it's kind of struggle to move around the loops. If you have big fingers, this tweezer is really my or should i say it makes my life easier after sewing, all the loops down next thing i'll be doing is to make a covering for the back so buying the marketing skin client. So so so ayan is easier for me to adjust the covering upper after this next. Nothing goes on is strap now one and a half yard length now strip of fabric fold in the raw edges, then fold it in half and then press next is to top stitch that open edge after sewing. Press press press next is to fold the end of the strap twice by half inch and top stitch it down. And finally, we can now do the lacing i'm going to put this strap through those loops. So so you

Michalina Łągiewka: Thank you for showing us how to do this! I have a few dresses that I've only worn once or twice because my waist measurement changes a lot. I always wanted to try converting some of them to a lace up back. I will definitely try this once I'll get a sewing machine. Also that dress was absolutely beautiful and I loved the pastel blue and pink combo ❤

AhhH!: Using the zipper placket as an anchoring point is incredibly intelligent and the dress is so perfect and versitile

JPJ Norris: I recently had a dress altered to a corset back but they only did a 2 inch panel which still made the dress unusable as it didn't cover my back fully. Thank you so much for this simple tutorial using a rectangle of fabric and only sewing the top edge of one seam. Definitely giving this a try.

くコ:彡Shellyくコ:彡: Thank you sooooo muchhhhhh! I'm altering my sister's dress since we couldn't find the design she wanted in her size so I've been trying to find a tutorial. This is straight to the point and easy to understand.

Cruznick06: I wish I would have found this tutorial earlier. I am absolutely going to use it in the future!

Rachelle Johnson: Your tip on using a thread to hold the start of the rolled hem is genius! Thank you so much!!!

Julie Brand: Thank you Cen, these are so informative, you explain and show how to do things so well

Simple Simplicity: This is very similar to what I’m doing now with my grandaughter’s prom gown and the fabric is also satin and powder blue in color like the one you have altered. . It was kind of tight for her and she wanted this corset type in the back. Good job!

Natalie: Great work, this is beautiful! Thank you!

Jana Mari: this is so helpful!! I love your content ❤️

Caketales Studio: I've been following you for a while po and I just have to say how happy I am to have found your channel!!! Your tutorials are so clear and easy to follow plus each one is full of super useful tips I would've never imagined on my own! Thank you for sharing your craft with us! <3

Angelo Minlon Dalagan: Do you have a tutorial po for narrow hemming using hemming foot na circular cut? Sobrang hirap po maperfect ng circular skirt hehe baka po may mashre kayong techniques ❤️❤️

Carlos Daniel: i love your channel! can you please do a video teaching us how to make a KICK PLEAT? ( Type of finishing sa back slit ng pencil skirts)

Alexis G: Would this be a good solution for a wedding dress that just can't quite get zipped up all the way? Because of covid, my area is in a stay at home order till the end of May and I can't get an alterations appointment until mid June and my wedding is mid July lol so its really cutting things close. My dress has a ton of bead work that will have to be taken out and re beaded if its taken out at the sides. My dress is only slightly too small so it needs to come out by about an inch. The only person doing alterations is charging an arm and a leg for the work which I understand because its labour intensive. But I'd love to find a solution that would cut the part out of having to unbead everything.

Maring Rachart: Lovely! New viewer!

Beth Cole: I love how detailed you explained things. Gusto ng anak ko corset style yung wedding dress niya at naloloka ako sa pag execute ng request niya dahil walang allowance for corset yung damit niya. So happy to find your channel. You have a very grateful new subscriber. I’ll be implementing your techniques for the corset conversion for sure! PS. Hanga ako sa foot pedal control mo sa sewing machine. I had to convert my clutch motor to a servo motor dahil mabigat ang paa ko.
