Hello, everybody welcome back to my channel if you're new you're welcome - and i hope you all are doing well so in today's video i'm going to be sharing with you guys or showing you guys how i wash my crochet wigs um on the video on how i Make this beautiful diy lace, frontal crochet wig. I told you guys that i washed the wig off camera, but i didn't tell you the details or how i washed the wig. I got a lot of questions from that video asking me like what kind of water did. I use in wash in the wig. Is it cold water? Is it hot water? So i figured the best way to answer everyone's chin is to make a video specifically for that, so yeah, that's what we're going to be doing today with that said, let's go straight into the video all right. First thing: first, before we move on to the main process, you want to start by brushing your wig. If it's straight wig, you want to brush it. If it's curly, you want to brush it, but make sure it's the kind of wig that you need to brush. So for the straight ones, i'm going in with a with a hair brush and i'm brushing the hair for the afro hair, i'm not going to be brushing it, i'm not going to be doing anything to the wig, because i want the texture like that. Okay, so this hair is afro, okay, so moving on to the next step to the main step: okay, we're going to be using warm water, not hot water, okay, warm water, so right now, i'm waiting for the water to heat up and i'm just using my my Fingers to control the temperature just to fill the water, because i want it warm, i don't want it hot. You want the water to be warm and uh. If in a pot or kettle you take cook the water or you take boil the water, if you don't put them for buckets, you need to add the water okay. So that way the water goes, they won't like say you want your zambaf. So because you know one say: if you know coffee put your hand if it's so hot for your hand, no say you're too hot for the wig, so okay, so with that said, let's move on to the next process. So now that i fill up the bucket, i'm gon na take it to uh to my workspace. So next right now, i'm gon na take my shampoo. You can use any shampoo of your choice, so i'm just going in with a shampoo putting that inside the warm water. So next i'm gon na go ahead and mix that in okay. So since i've already uh brushed the wig, so the next step now i'm taking the wig and i'm gon na soak it in the water just gently pushing it down into the water i'll. Take a yellow, sip cause, i'm trying to have a better day. Ain'T gon na get delirious just sit here by the way might take a bigger sip starting to feel okay. I think the party's getting serious so all the other things can wait. Never listen ain't gon na get delirious so party hot till i'm 60.. Okay, so once the wig is completely soaked in the water, you want to go ahead and take extra shampoo. So this time you want to apply it on the lace part of the wig. Just like i'm doing in this video, so once you apply the shampoo, the next step is to take your fingers and scrub out the makeup, the gel. So if you apply powder or foundation on the lace part of the wig, you want to go ahead and gently scrub that out so making sure to also focus on the edge of the lace. Okay, so right here, i'm repeating the same thing on the right, uh, crochet, frontal doing the same thing i applied the foundation. I applied the shampoo on the lace part of the wig. So right now i'm going ahead to scrub out the uh, the makeup and the gel. So right here, i'm just brushing the soap on the hair, i'm not scrubbing it! I'M just gently brushing it through also using the water to kind of rinse it out. Okay. So i'm repeating the same thing on the lace closure, so gently scrubbing out the makeup, so you want to be gentle when doing this, you don't want to rip the lace. So again, i'm brushing the shampoo on the hair, i'm not scrubbing the hair, i'm just brushing it through and using the water to kind of rinse and brush it through. So you can see it looks really clean right now, so we're not only focusing on the lace part. So once you get the lace part out out of the way you can focus on brushing the shampoo through the wig. So, first you want to focus on the lace part of the wig before moving on to the body of the wig. Okay, again, you want to do the same thing: gently brush the the shampoo through the hair, don't use brush at this time. You won't only want to use your fingers, don't use brush because that might damage the wig. So once you've done with that, you want to like i'm doing in this video. You want to dip the wig in water and bring it out. So next you want to squeeze out the excess shampoo out of the wig. Okay, just like that. Okay, so once that is done, you want to go ahead and throw away the shampoo water and bring in fresh water so to rinse the wig. You can either use warm water or you can use cold water. So that's up to you for me, i'm using warm water. Well, i like too many sips. I mean what exactly is too many as long as i'm walking, i'm okay i'll feel better anyway forgot about my problems, but how am i gon na get home, but there's no reason to worry all the other things? Okay. So when it comes to my alpha crochet wig, i do that process a little bit differently, but also using the same method, so i'm starting with a warm water. So next i'm going in with a shampoo again i'm gon na mix that shampoo inside the warm water in the water in the warm water. So this time i'm gon na let this very wig the afro crochet wig soak for a few minutes on a regular day. When i'm only washing the after crochet wig, i let it sit for like 10 minutes. Okay. So since i'm working on more than one wig today, i'm gon na let this sit, because i only have one mannequin stand. So i'm gon na let this wig sit and soak in the water while i dry the rest of the wig okay, so once you've rinsed your wig, the next step is to dry off the excess water. So at this point you can let it air dry overnight or you can use a hand dryer to dry the hair. So for me, i'm working on more than one wig and i don't have the time to let the wigs air dry overnight. So i'm going to be blow drying the ones i know i need to blow dry, so i'm starting with the red one right now so to make the process go fast, i'm going to take a comb and come through the hair while drying the hair so and Also right here you need to set your blow dryer to a medium heat like a warm heat or you can even use cold air if you prefer that. So if you don't have the hand dryer or you don't feel like using the hand dryer, you can use the hot comb, but you want to make sure to set your hot comb to a medium heat. Okay, all the other things, so the wig is fully dry. Now and it's clean and ready to go ready to be styled. I really love love. Love love this well, crochet wig! Oh, my god. It looks so natural, especially the texture, looks like a kinky straight hair. Oh man love it. Okay, so moving on to the purple and the pink crochet wig, i'm doing this a little bit different. So i'm going ahead to do like a single braid. So i'm going to be leaving this braid like this till the next time i decide to uh start the wig. So right now, i'm not! I didn't use brush to brush the wig. I just use my fingers to brush through it because the hair is still wet. So you can do it this way you can braid the wig while it's still wet and let it air dry overnight, oh and also after the hair air dry. If you want that soft uh, kinky or fresh braided look, you can take it out once the hair is fully dry or you can just let it sit for like two to three days for the braids to kind of sit in if you prefer that. So for me again, i'm not ready to start this wig anytime soon, so i'm just going to braid it and let it air dry overnight then put it away till i'm ready, okay, so moving on to the next one, which is the blue one, i'm also doing The same thing i did on the red one, because i need to pull this away also, so i'm using the blow dryer and also a hair brush to uh brush the hair. So that's how it's looking all cleaned ready to be styled. Okay, so moving on to the next wig, i'm actually gon na going to be lighting, this very one air dry overnight. So right now, i'm just going out here to dry off the excess water. So next i'm gon na set it aside and let it dry overnight. So the reason why i'm letting this very one air dry overnight is because of the texture of the hair. I don't want to mess it up by using a straight comb or hot comb to contour the hair. So i'm just going to use my fingers to kind of detangle the hair, and next i'm going to let it dry overnight. Just as you know, some wig required blow drying and call me why some just need to be left alone and let them do their thing overnight. So this is one of those wig. I don't want to mess with the texture of this wig. So that's why i'm letting it air dry overnight? Okay! So moving on to the final wig of this video, which is the afro crishy wig, i'm going to take it out of the shampoo water again, do the same process, throw away the shampoo water and replace it with a clean water. So next i'm gon na rinse. The uh, the wig okay, so i went ahead and changed the water so for the kylie crochet wig, i'm using warm water to rinse it too, so rinse it and squeeze out the excess water from the wig. Okay. So now that that is done again, i'm going back in to dry off the excess water using the towel. So i'm also going to be letting this very wig air dry overnight. So i just went ahead and set it close to the uh, the second wig. So i'm gon na let this two wigs air dry overnight and that is it okay, i'm back i'm back, i'm back, i'm back. So this is the end of the video. So i hope you find this video helpful.
