How To Turn Lace Up Shoes Into Slip Ons

We love DIY projects and today we're going to share one of our favorites with you turning a pair of lace-up shoes into slip-ons. This is a great way to update an old pair of shoes or to customize a new pair. Here'S. What you'll need a pair of canvas shoes we're going to use these low top bands two pieces of elastic? This will give your shoes some stretch without any laces. Each piece of elastic should be one inch wide and three inches long sewing materials, including straight pins. A strong needle and thread that matches the thread of the stitching on your shoes start by pinning a piece of the elastic underneath the tongue of your shoe, pin it securely on each side of the tongue once your elastic is pinned in place key and sew it To the tongue, while you're sewing make sure you follow the original stitching once you finish, each side tie it off next. Pin the elastic to the inside of the shoe on each side, hand sew the elastic to the side of your shoe, making sure to follow the original stitching as closely as possible.
