Hey everybody Shawn here from board paracord comm and today I want to show you a snake knot with Mad Max style closure. So it'll be a little bit adjustable. I looked back. I thought I did a snake not quite a while ago, but yeah. I looked back into my all my videos and I did not do a snake now I did a corkscrew and I did another one and let's look a little bit like the snake knot, but never did snake, not anyways. Let'S get started. I have about 10 feet of cord here, and I think this should be plenty if you're doing like a 7 inch bracelet and what I've already done is I've already found my Center Point and the way that you do that is you put your two ends together And then just pull all the cord through your fingers until you have a loop at the end, that's your center point and we're going to work off of this the whole way. So the first thing I want you to do is to take your left cord and make sure you hold on to your Center Point here. Take your left cord cross it over and around your right cord, and I got some hold on one. Second, I got a move a few things here. I got in the way. Okay, there we go sorry about that. So what you get that you've got here is your left cord, basically just wraps around your right cord and you're, going to have a little bit of a loop left over from that. So you have your right cord going through that loop. Now your right cord, if you're just going to take it around the back of your left cord, just like that and then what I like to do, because it's a little easier, is create a loop with this. Just a little thing that you can push through open. This first loop up that you made and poke this through and pull it through, and that will give you your first knot. Now, I'm going to back this up and show you a little bit different way of doing it. If you just want to do it with the end of the cord, instead of making that little thing there, so I've got my center point. You scoot out just a little bit center point. There you're going to take your left cord, wrap it around and have a loop here. Take your the cord, that's going through that loop kind of pinch everything and take it off to the left side and you want to grab the end. So you should have something that looks like this and we're just going to take this cord and go down through this loop right here. This first loop that we made just like that, pull it on through and you can see it kind of makes, makes a knot. That'S the same on the front and the back, and what we're going to do is tighten this all the way up, and this is also going to act as our closure at the very end. So what you're going to do, then lighten that up a little there? We go we're going to basically tighten this all the way down, not so much that it pulls through, because you could actually pull this through and kind of lose that knot. But since this is going to be our closure, you definitely want it to be as tight up there as you can and you're going to end up using a fydd to get the cords through here at the very end, but see I have just a barely. Barely a hole there, but if I put my fit through here, it goes through real nicely and we're going to get two cords through here. So you don't have to worry about that being too tight, because the fid, what the fit will do, will actually pull some slack from the knots and it will still go through so yeah I mean that's a small hole, but the fit goes through no problem. Okay, so I'm actually going to tighten this up, maybe a little bit more because I don't want this just to loosen up as you're wearing it because then the closure won't hold. So I'm going to tighten this almost all the way down and see you can barely see a little, maybe a little pokin of light poking through there all right so now that you've got this part, it's kind of just the repeating you're, just repeating the same thing. So you're taking your left cord around the back just like that, creating that loop on the right and you're taking your left cord around the back, just like the floor and you're going to poke it down through this loop here. So I like to do it this way, because just a little quicker for me is going to create this little thing here, poke it down through the loop act as if this is the end of the cord. So if you didn't have all this cord right here, just act like this was the end of the cord poke that down through and then you can pull everything through. It'S a little easier than grabbing the end and then push this up, and you want all your knots I like to do these sideways. I don't know why. I think it's because I can tighten and push as I do it. So what I'm doing here is I'm pulling with these fingers here, as I push with these fingers towards the end, and I do that on both sides and what you, what you're looking for, is you want this part of the knot you see if I can get A little more detailed, you want this part of the knot too kind of nestled right in this little. This little area right here and you're just going to keep on doing this until it kind of scrunches all the way down, and so you can't really do it anymore and you're just going to keep repeating that until you get to your your length of your bracelet, The nice thing about this is that you can do the length of your bracelet check it. If you need to do another one, you just do another one so left cord wrap it around. The back of your right. Take your right cord around the back, create your little end here and then poke it down through that loop on the right and pull everything through a little easier than using the end of the cord and then you're just going to cinch this right on up real Easy to do and I'll do a few more here just so that you get an idea but see how see how there's a little area right here that kind of has like a Cove to it little concave area. You want this not to kind of Nestle right in there. You can kind of turn it until you get it in that spot. That'Ll get you nice and uniform, and as long as you make your last knot, look like your previous knot. You will have a very nice-looking bracelet, all right and we'll do we'll do two more so left forward round the back off to the left. Get your loop here kind of pinch! Everything create your little your little loop, but you can pull through and poke it down through that loop on the right. So you should have something that looks like this and you're going to poke this down through that loop on the right and then pull everything through. And if you find that a little tricky to do just grab the end of the paracord and go down through that loop, just is the same thing and we'll push this up. So what I'm doing is I'm grabbing these cords pulling? Why push I'm pushing towards the end of the bracelet and then we just grab once we get it right up close to the bracelet or the other knots here start working on one strand at a time pulling and pushing at the same time? And you just do each cord until you really can't do it any more you'll know them. You can't do it because you won't be able to pull any of the cord through just like that, and then you end up with a real nice uniform, looking bracelet. So I'll do one more here a little quicker and then I will be back to show you how to do the closer. The Mad Max style closure all right. There we go. I picked the colored moss for my eye to color of my one. Color fits very well with the the color of the movie movies, have a lot of earth tones and kind of darker, Browns and greens, so this fits kind of ball with the movie, but there we go we're getting there. So I only got about 30. More of these knots to do until I get to the end. Oh so once we get back we're going to use a fydd we're going to attach the bid pull it through and then I'll show you how to do a stopper knot on there and I'll be back okay. So I have made the snake nuts all the way down and I've got. I don't know about a foot and a half of cord on each side, so about three feet left. I was going to do like a really nice stopper knot, which you still can you can do a glow on. I think it's called a button that it's a little too big for the style that I want to do. I'M just going to do another snake knot to finish this off that way. We don't have to learn anything new. So what I've already done is I've already cut these ends and made them into a point so that I can just thread the fit on. As you can see, I've already got one done and you want to do this to the point where it almost comes together. So you can see I'm kind of pulling a little tight and we're not quite closed. So you want to go right to that point now. If you want to do it all the way you can do that too. It'S really up to you, so we're going to now take our 1 chord and in this hole that we created at the very beginning. We'Re just going to push this down through should slide through fairly easy pull your cord through, and you can see it kind of cinches right up on it and you want to get rid of that twist. So we've got a little bit of a twist there. So we're going to pull that through just like that, now I'm going to do the same thing with the other cord, so unscrew it from that one screw it into this one real easy and do the same thing now just pass it right through the same hole. This one might be a little tighter, but that's good. You want to be tight. There we go. You can hear the friction. You want to hear that friction. That way, you know that it's going to hold wherever you set your link all right. So, let's get rid of this fit here and what we're going to do is act like this is the loop that you started with so you're going to pull around just like you normally would this is this? Is our stop or not going to do one more snake mat here just to finish it off, but I think I messed that up sure did alright. So go around. Take this one round back there we go. That'S what I didn't do I didn't go around the back and through the loop there through all right now we got to figure out where we want our stop or not. So I'm just going to say it's kind of a guessing game. I must say it's going to go right there and then I'm gon na see if I can get this put on with it right there and the nice thing with the snake mat. Is it's a little stretchy, so that's good and yeah. I can get that on pretty easy, so I'm actually going to move this up just a little bit. So we're just going to loosen this up so loosen the snake that up just a little just like that and I'm going to push it down the down. The cord just a little bit and then pull it tight, and you want this not to be nice and tight so that it doesn't loosen up on you and then just try again so we're going to put the bracelet on Matt. That'S still going on pretty easy. I don't need it to be that loose. So let's try one more try. So we round loosen this up again push it on down the cord. Here we go. You want the bracelet to be kind of hard to get on, because you don't want all this extra cord hanging off the end. There we go, and you definitely want to check this before you go cut in your cord to be real bad. If you got all the way through the bracelet yep there, we go alright get all this cord pulled through check to make sure we can tighten this to where we want it, and now we'll see, we only have a little bit of cord. That'S going to be hanging off this bracelet, which is just perfect, so I'm going to go ahead. Remove this bracelet and this stopper knot here is going to get cut and I think I've got fluid in this and cut the ends off right at the base of the knot. Both sides - I'm just going to do one at a time here and push that in there. So there's one side don't forget to check out the Facebook group paracord on you can search care for Don and the Facebook search or you can do it old, school and type in the URL facebook.com slash groups select pair cordon and now to take you right there And see we just have a small stop or not. I didn't want something real big. It also matches the exact same knot as the rest of the bracelet, but there it is that's the snake knot bracelet with the Mad Max style. Closure looks really good. You always definitely want to have as little as possible hanging off this end, so you want to be able to get the bracelet on just barely and then when you can get the bracelet on just barely that's where you're not needs to be so. I hope you like it thanks again for watching and don't forget to hit that subscribe button down at the bottom. It really helps us out and until next time, pear cordon you

TSG: Made these notes for myself. Watch the entire video first, then refer back to these points to re-enforce what you learned. This was a great project. Thank you. 01:44 first 03:34 and 04:30 closure detail 06:30 image to continue 10:31 threading/sizing for stopper knot 11:45 make stopper knot 14:35 finish up

John X: Just finished my first paracord following your instructions. I actually bought the paracords from your store and finally got a chance to make one of my soon many bracelets.

Video Central 1234: Thanks, I made my first bracelet only today as I just found some at my local dollar tree. I didn't have the needle thing, so threading it through the hole was a bit tricky, but it worked and looks pretty good! Thanks!

Keylee Landers: Thank you so much for helping me make these. I made my first one last night. But I made it with a charger cord and its pretty dope

Andrae S: I just discovered paracord bracelets and am making the first one ever as I type this. You made the instructions so simple thank you!

Dustin Nostrant: First time making a paracord bracelet and needless to say I couldn't have done it without this video. Thanks!

A Bradford: Thanks. Video easy to follow. Good instructions. Love the snake knot bracelet. Easier for the grandchildren to put on without the buckles. Made a few of these. Mad Max, .

Zac Greene: Thanks for the easy to follow directions I started and finished it in less then an hour and it looks great When I did mine I did three snake knots at the end

SusanHwe: Your video is easy to follow and you are a great teacher. I just started doing paracord craft and loving it.

jason rosario: Thanks for the easy to follow instructions. I made two braclets already. Thank you!!

Kollin Farr: I have already made two today! Thank you for the awesome video. I put a toothpick in the small hole in the beginning and left it there until the end. At the end instead of using a Fid I used a nail to open it up a little bit.

brian_biffchannel: Great tutorial! :-) One helpful tip would be to specify the length of paracord to start out with for an adult sized bracelet -- the piece I used to follow along ended up a bit too short and I ran out of slack towards the end! By my approximation it takes 5 inches of paracord for 1 inch of bracelet, so assuming you wanted an 8" knot plus an extra 18"-24" of each strand for the closure, you should start with 7' to be on the safe side.

Sandra DeGuire: Thank you for the instructions. I made my first bracelet with the Peacock paracord. Very nice! More bracelets on the way...

Lupe Rivera: Just made one and it came out just right! Thanks! You're pretty clear on your instructions.

jnauttube: Excellent video. for first timer's, let me add a tip to help avoid some of the problems that I ran into: Make your initial 'left side' crossover loop small and as close to the previous knot as possible. This way, when you start cinching things up, you don't have gaps. The first half of my bracelet was a little lumpy and uneven, but the second half looked as tight as the one in the video-- because I figured this little detail out. I'd start mine too big and too far down on the untied cord, so when I cinched up, there were slight gaps in the knots leading to an uneven look.

I AM BATMAN: awesome video that helped me out a lot just made my bracelet. you explained everything so simple and it was very easy.. thumbs up..

Brian Stoneley: Thank you sir. I had done this knot before but not for a long time. I had forgotten how to do it. Your video and explanation is perfect. You will have helped a great many amount of people with your video. By Watching you do it and your way of doing it I remembered how to do it again. Thanks and best wishes Brian.

Lydia Jenkins: Thanks for the tutorial. I’m using this knot to make a handle for my saddle and adding clasps on the end

lcolon25000: Very helpful!! Thank you!! Made my first paracord bracelet.

Travis Selinka: Really great vid. Super cool and fun to make. Love my new bracelet. :)

_l—: Thanks for this. Just made my first paracord item!

Kris Peterson: You do a great job explaining and showing.. My favorite so far.... Thanks.

Marc D: I really enjoyed making this. Nice and simple. A couple things I learned about making these is, don't make them exactly the circumference of your wrist. You need to make them a little shorter to allow for the amount of stretch that will happen once worn (even when you have tight knots). Another thing... Keep count of the # of knots that works for your wrist. I think mine is 27. My wrist is about 6.5 inches.

Joshua Spencer: I'm in the feild for training. Sometimes we get a lot of down time. I used 550 cord for this and the mad max cobra knot. Thanks.

Mark Ehlert: My nephew has been asking me for weeks to show him how to tie a paracord bracelet, this was just what I needed. Thanks. Not the easiest thing to teach a 5 and 9 year old. But all the adults picked it up from the first 5 min of your video, and were able to teach the kids the proper way to make the knot, but it was difficult for them to properly sinch the the knot. I found that after you tie the correct knot, you can alternate pulling the Left and Right cords while softly pulling the knot into the base of the wristband. I personally, made an approximately 18" (45.72cm) strand in about 2 hours. Although I was unable to teach my nephews correctly. (If I might suggest) Making a condensed version more appropriate for younger audiences. For example under 5:00 min? I believe the YouTube algorithm favors +10:00 min, but "Exposure is Exposure". I think something orientated towards kids (Or at least techniecs to teach kids) would be helpful. I appreciate the work you have put into this video, so I will let it play till the end. And again, Thanks.

Aviad Hoffman: Thanks for the great tutorial. It was very fun to create.

Tanisha Turner: Thank you so much this is exactly what I was looking for

Beading Away: Excellent tutorial! Thank you

Bikin' Beyond Boundaries: Great tutorial. I made my first bracelet using this video. As I working on it I noticed the knot pattern tended to twist along the length of the bracelet. Is this normal? Thanks for sharing your talents with the paracord people....

Stan Griffin Stan_ the_ Alaskan: I've been tying knots my whole life since I was 8 I'm 54 now seems like I just started. Learning lots of stuff and enjoying the content. The mad max ended bracelets I'm really liking. And I've learned 3 new knots. Peace from Stan the Alaskan. Just subbed too.

Yank 270: Hey thanks for the vid. Just made one and it works and looks great used a double braid on the stopper knot just to be safe lol

Ethan b.: Awesome tutorial! Keep up the good work.

Julian Weiser: Just made one, nice. Very detailed guide, thanks mate!

Jon Venzuela: Made one today, good addition to my kit. Thanks!

Jim D: Nice explanations, thank you, made this project much easier.

Lt wolf: made 3 paracords from your videos for personal use i have to say it's fun and looks great thank you

solidifiedmustard: thx, this was my first every bracelet I made. I looks really nice, keep up the great work!

SPYDER TACTICAL GAMING: Made my first one!!! Thanks

Patti Chism: Loved the video. You are easy to listen to and learn from. This knot had a way of twisting on me. I have old hands with arthritis and I found if I put the fid in the little loop at the top I could hold on to it and know the direction to keep it from twisting. Second bracelet was easier than the first. Like your tips. Keep them coming.

BABY A: Thank you for another GREAT video. This makes bracelet #2. I made the first one with your MAD MAX STYLE VIDEO. Thank you!

Resz7: Great video man. Had fun creating my own.

Glossy DeMarco: The knot I've been looking for.....thank you!

T D: My life must be pretty damn insignificant , for me to feel the sense of accomplishment that I feel, after finishing my first Paracord bracelet!!! Great tutorial!!

Shital Nayi: Very well explained with step by step knots thank you please send More new styles when you upload a new video

Kathleen Blake: If you do not have a fid, it worked to use a "hemostat" or locking hand grasper like fisherman use to tie/make lures (or used in an OR or GI lab..).

Robert Young: Thank you your information was clear and very helpful.

Medusa283: Thank you mate, excellent tutorial!

The Outdoor Dude: Super cool. I used this as my first attempt. Came out good. Subscribing for more.

Flynn: Great video. My first one turned out well.

Alby Ralph: I made mine an anklet and for the end knot I made it un-tiable as I could not get it over my heel. Also, what thickness Paramore are you using?

Sammy Sedillo: Very informative. Thank you

Zack Taylor: I just finished mine except I got ahead of the video and made the starting loop too big. But I just tied a double knot and the loop catches and holds it on my wrist. Thanks!

African Stallion: I made the big made max one then two of these small ones and combine the three together it looks sick

johntruttero: Great video dude made mine now and loving it

Thomas Oliver: Awesome vids, keep 'em coming!

Ron L: Hi, Bored, Just watch my first of your video and really enjoyed it and learned some, too. I'm just wondering if I could do the same thing with gutted 550 paracord? I want to make one for my diminutive granddaughter. Would the results be worthwhile? Thank you in advance, Ron.

spiderlady56: Love this! Not too bulky but my bracelet ever. so. slightly. twists. Not very much but it does. I wasn't sure if it was my eyes going a bit wonky (I used one of the zombie type pattern cords) but I think it is twisting ever so slightly?? Otherwise I really, really like it!

CbyS Paracord and More: great video ..

Matthew Baker: Nice one, just made my first bracelet following this video. Thanks. Q - What do you with the left over foot or so? Can it be used for anything other than the putting it in the bin?

Joe Roberts: What I used to do was to plait such items as these from a hook in the wall. Doing this meant you could lean back and put your weight against the job. That helped keep it straight.

Linda Baer: Went thru several vids for snake knot - THIS ONE IS THE BEST!

drewbacca la la: Dude thanks for making these vids; I enjoy making these :D

Olivette Quinn: Très bonne explication. Merci.

Richard Ellis: I used a safety pin in the loop. Worked great. Where do you get the needles?

Tina Bina: hey I wanted to thank you for the video, I made my first paracord bracelet thanks to this video.

El zaguán: Que buen trabajo!

Josh Gould: Thanks for sharing, man. I'm experiencing with paracord I bought

Junaid Sarfraz: great video, is there any way to calculate how many feet per inch? You are making 7 inch bracelet out of 10 feet. I want to create for inches

Wicked Sick: This is a better stopper knot than you use on the mad max bracelet video, since it is smaller.

loscrows: This looks super satisfying and therapeutic

Saji Manhal: this is super easy loved it! tnx for this video

Patriot Bear: What length of cord do I need for about 6" bracelet? (5-strand paracord)

Angelos Procopos: That snake knot bracelet from Mad Max. It will suit me well on my right wrist thank you.

Tasha V: Finally! Thank you for posting this! I've been wanting a tutorial for this knot, I also like that closing style.

EDcreative: Tip: use a carabineer to keep the closure from slipping.

Daniel Gobârlău: I struggle with basic tasks.I have tried many times. My brother got it in one try. Edit:Nvm I was kinda sad.I watched the part at 4:40 closer and it all became clear.Great video

Terry Nicholson: have you tried attaching your buckle to a hook, it helps to keep work still some so it frees up your hands more to finish project faster.

MEAN F150: great video man I just made mine in black and green like monster energy but had to do it over messed one knot up an the closer was a bit to big

Taylor Rothlein: Love your videos!

you are a child. so don't mess with mummy: Bro I had made it and it looked beautiful tnx

Владислав Чуб: Thanks bro =) First time making too - and... Success =) Nice video!

Shlomo HaTalmid: YASHER KOIACH!!! (Very Well Done!) I Really Love These Videos & All The Effort & Work You Have Put Into Them. Thank You So Very Much!... May You Have Always Blessings & Good In Your Future. :-)

Alexander Beck - Sawmill Valley PS (1331): cool bracelet! i like it!

Matt Buddenhagen: On a note I used a small key ring to get the small hole but it also stop me from pulling the start loop through and then I just took it off when I was ready to put the last 550 through

Jenni Lynn: Wouldn’t it be easier to put a circle from a key chain in that very first loop so u have no worries of it coming loose or anything

Charlie Durham: Great video! Thanks for sharing.

Ant Man: Do you have link on a tutorial on the blue bracelet you have on this video? Thanks! Great video.

X Projects: Supper Helpful! Thank You

Johannes Jonsson: Nice, where do I find that needle like thing used to get the ends through the loop?

Adrian: Going to try this with some thin, round leather cordage to make a thin but strong necklace for my mjolnir and bearded axe pendants.

Maddie Miller: Hi! Im going to be making these for our troops, so id be making a lot and I want to save as much paracord as possible, how long do you think the parador should be?? Thanks in advance!

AlessiaMay: How long do you need the Paracord to be?

IamTactiCole: I’m going to make a hat band in this style!

seth rerricha: My knots keep ending up weird. The first 5 were fine but the distance between them grew a bit and the knots now appear lopsided.

Jay Scoby: Awesome! Thanks!

Felipe Moreira: here okay! bracelet finished! thanks man... awesome

Wesley MaGill: you probably know this but that starting knot is a bowline or rescue knot and its a wise thing to learn how to tie, there is also a one handed version of the knot.

Francielly Santos: muito bom.vlw
