Follow these steps to replace the base enclosure for HP EliteBook 840 G5, G6 Healthcare Edition Notebook PC and 848 G4 Notebooks:

- Steps

- Loosen the six captive P1 Phillips-head screws that secure the base enclosure to the top cover.

- Loosen the two recessed captive P1 Phillips-head screws that secure the base enclosure to the top cover.

- Carefully separate the edges of the base enclosure from the top cover.

- Remove the base enclosure.

- Base Enclosure replacement

- Steps

- Place the base enclosure into position over the top cover.

- Press down firmly along the edges to reattach the base enclosure to the top cover.

- Tighten the two recessed captive P1 Phillips-head screws that secure the base enclosure to the top cover.

- Tighten the six captive P1 Phillips-head screws that secure the base enclosure to the top cover.
