Lace Front Wig Tape | Testing Blue Walker Tape | Lauren Neate

Hi everyone! In today's video I test the blue walker lace front wig tape. I have seen people use the blue walker wig tape to wear wigs in the pool etc so I had to give it a try. I've never tried wig tape before and looking back at the footage I definitely should have removed my foundation to apply the lace front tape, oops.

I may try the wig tape again without foundation and report back on here but next time i plan to try ghost bond.

Let me know your favourite wig glues and tapes for going on holiday!

If you have any questions please feel free to directly message me or leave a comment, I'll eventually get back to you :)

Hi guys, so today's video is going to be a complete trial and error. I have no idea what i'm doing and i've never glued a wig down using anything other than got to be glued. But i figured i'm going on holiday in just under three weeks and i'm gon na be doing like lots of things on this holiday, probably like water parks and going to see all of this kind of stuff. And i know that got to be glued. Is not the best for heat i've kind of been looking for other methods to glue my wigs down that will last in water and i've heard lots of people talk about this tape before i'm kind of intrigued. To give it a go. I'Ve got the wig that i'm going to be wearing on holiday, um i'm going to zantes. So it's going to be quite a lot. I think so. This wig is going to be like tested, but this is the hair vv addison wig, which is the one that i've decided. I'M going to be wearing i've, not worn this wig out. I think i've only worn it maybe like once or twice so. I'Ve kind of kept it for holidays specifically, so it can kind of go through the test. Yeah i'm gon na give this a go. It'S complete trial and error. I really don't know what i'm doing, but maybe this will end up stuck on my head for four days and i'll have to wear it out. So, let's just see what happens so when i've seen people using this tape in the past, they've stuck it to the wig and then put the wig on with the tape i'm going to do the same. Just because i know, if i put it on my head in this wire there um, because it's currently like 32 degrees out, if i put it on my head right now - it'll probably just like slip everywhere, um and it won't be the best i've already kind of Messed around with this tape by messing around, i literally cut like a strip off and tried to peel it, and i do think it's quite difficult because it's double-sided tape to get like the other side off. So that should be interesting, especially like with acrylics. My plan is to just stick the tape onto the lace and then put it on my head and try and get it in the right position. That'S kind of what i'm worried about is like putting it on my head and then realizing like it's too far back or something actually what i'm actually gon na do as well in this video is i'm gon na do a water test, so when i go when I'Ve stuck this to my head, which hopefully won't take too long. I'M then gon na go in like in the bathroom and put water onto my head and see what happens so. I'Ve got my wig here. Oh, this parting is so like see-through on this um and i'm just gon na. Oh, i'm so nervous put the first bit of tape like on the ears. Have so you guys can kind of see what i'm doing and then i'm literally just gon na put like maybe five around the perimeter of the hairline, i'm not going like super close to the edge? Actually, i have gone quite close to the edge there, but i'm not going to try not to go too close in the front just because you don't want to be able to see the tape. This isn't going to be the best tutorial because i'm learning as well, but if this is a really good method, then fingers crossed so i'm gon na quickly do that and then i'm gon na try and peel the backing off the tape and show you guys i've. Just realized my fan has been on for the entire intro and i'm really sorry about that um, but i have now stuck. I was gon na do five, but four is kind of what fit. Now, i'm gon na try and peel them off. So i feel like when i tried this like just peeling it off normal. It was really difficult yeah. I got the face. Okay, i got the first one and it took me 53 seconds so not too bad okay, so i've got them all off and there is like a little bit of a knack to it. Um, you kind of have to like push your nail under like just the top layer, so that the sticky bit just sticks to the wig right breathe. I'M actually super nervous to put this on, because i'm just thinking if it's too far back what, if it's stuck on there for days like it probably won't be like i'm, probably just being extreme. Oh, it's sticking to my finger. Oh bloody hell! Okay! Right! Let'S see what happens, let's see what happens? Oh, no, all right, as predicted. I have placed it too far back so what i can say by having this on my head for like what 20 seconds there is no way this is going to hold up on like a water slide or anything, because i can just literally pull it off and That'S never what you want, but it is strong, just like in quite a different way like. I can't really explain it. I'Ve just remembered how much i love this wig, though like how pretty it is. It'S like. I will say it's quite hard to get on your head because, as you're like pulling the lace forward, it sticks to your head and then it'll stick to the lace and then like the hair gets stuck under it. So if you're used to using god to be glued like i am you put it on and then just slide the glue under, it's not the same as doing that. Unless i guess you put the stickies on your head, so one of the tests is obviously going to be like pulling the wig and, as you can see like as i pull it literally just come straight off. So that's not good. This isn't giving me much hope. I feel like i'm going to be on like a mission to find like a really strong hold glue. I think my next trial and error is going to be ghost bond just because i've heard good things about that too. Like i will say like, i am really like pulling this, and even though it's lifting in the front where the tape is it's not coming off, wow that side's really stuck on that's really gripped. I think this may have been like a longer piece of tape, so maybe that works better. I don't know, i also did get the isopropyl alcohol, because i was worried in case this does get stuck to my head and i can't get it off. People have said to buy this, they sent me like a massive bottle, but apparently this is really good stuff to get the glue off if it is stuck to my head permanently. I don't know, i don't really know if i've like positioned this correctly on my head, but obviously this is trial and error. So i am gon na quickly go into the bathroom and rub water on maybe like one of the stronger bits and see what happens in water, okay, so the result of that is that it literally just comes straight off um yeah. This hasn't been the most amazing success story. I'M sorry about that. But if you were considering buying this tape and thinking that it was going to last you through like holidays or anything like water parks, i'm probably going to tell you that it's not um. I don't know if maybe i've like done something wrong. I don't think i have, because you can't really go wrong with this, but for me personally, like sweating being in that with a pool on the beach going out drinking and everything there's just no way that this is going to hold up. So with that being said, i'm going to be trying go sponge. So if you want to see me use that and see if it'll like proper grip, the wig down for holiday then make sure you subscribe, because that will be coming soon. This wig so needs styling or something, but i'm sorry i feel like this. Video is just such a mess anyway. That is pretty much it um. My verdict on this is that it doesn't stick. She says that she can't get it off her head right and if you want to see what happened to the tape, obviously my foundation kind of got caught a bit in it and yeah. You can literally just kind of like pull that back off. It'S just. It'S sticky, it is see and it has pulled out. Oh my god, it's pulled out quite a lot of hair. Okay, daffodil, don't recommend stuff. I don't recommend i'll, try, ghostbund but yeah. I think that is it. This video is an absolute fail. I will see you all on the next one. Hopefully, fingers crossed it'll be a little bit better. Okay, bye,

Lauren Neate: On reflection I definitely should’ve taken my make up off I will try again ♥️

Becky Blondie: So happy to see another upload! I was wondering about this tape whether to try it just for the ear tabs and then use spray for the forehead. Do you think it's because of your makeup that it peels off easy?

Josh Tinkler: If you continue using tape try using walker just-rite spray for positioning, it gives you a few seconds to properly position your hair, was a game changer for me

Nadia Mulla: Where is the wig from? It’s lovely

Clara: Nice to see you Lauren wow that tape doesn't seem very good if you retry please update

Aziza Kaseruuzi: Also, try putting the tape on your head first and then putting the wig over it. And yeah try without makeup too cause maybe that’s why some bits stuck and some bits didn’t x
