Hello and welcome to flower juice. My name is John McDonald and today I'm going to show you how to make a simple corn with flowers for wearing in your hair. So this is the type of thing you might want to do for yourself or you might want to make for a customer. So what I wanted to use with just these little rosebuds and what I've done is I've taken them off of plants which gives me the perfect little roses. A few ivy leaves are made to little ribbons now, if you're not sure how to make a bow. We have made a video that shows you how to do this style of bull and we've got a couple of Coons they're, not quite sure which one I'm going to use as yet. So I've got both sizes, but these are like little light. See-Through plastic combs that you can buy so they're very easy to use. They don't look that special, but actually once they're in the hair. Really all you see is the flower so just to show you. I'Ve got rules wires here and what I could do is just go right through the rules and then back and round. So what I'm doing is I'm really just capturing that stain? Let'S just do that one again so through the calyx of the rules, haze and then bringing one of the stems back down of the wire and then just round a couple of times with the other wire. So then, I'm going to use some of this, your parafilm, which is like a kind of plastic ribbon and what it does is it stretches. So we can coat that wire and this just seals the same and creates an artificial stain, so is doing the flowers into like a natural color. So what I've done is I've actually pre-prepared my pieces here and what we do is take. One of these leaves first and just add one of the buds. So really what we're going to do is create just like a little spray. So I'm going to use this parafilm just to attach those two together. So what we're making there is like a little unit and then I'm going to bring in a rosebud. So if I just kind of catch over with my film and then rubbing with my fingers, I can twist that on so that's creating like a little unit. Now I've also got little pieces of juts all four here, which I thought would be really nice. Now you can wire these or you can actually just split them down. This is the million star chip software. So it's really quite sturdy, and because of that, I don't think in a commercial way: it's not worth wiring it. You can just actually take that in so what we're doing is just adding these floors own now. I'Ve got bud a smaller, bigger bud and then a bigger again bud against the leaf. But what I want to do now is just bring in yet another leaf and we'll just take pain. So you need to really just practice this, the more you do it the easier it will become and if you think about like a a week phone some trees, you get like a middle stained with different leaves branching off to make one kind of multiple leaf there. Naturally, what we're creating here so I'm going to take one of the boos and just add that in and the ball is really just an opportunity to bring in a color, but maybe you don't have or maybe the customer would like, and so things like a blue. You can be quite difficult to gain with a real flower, so maybe you want to use like a neutral flower but bringing the blue with a ribbon that works very well, so just adding that there now for the center. I want to use the two bigger flowers. I really were just going to use these back-to-back, so, let's just pop in now, what I did. There was just put a little twist on that wire. So really the wire is creating a false theme and the false stand allows you to put flowers in exactly the position you want them to be there in kneel in the past. Really that was your only opportunity was to wire everything. They were very lucky that we don't need to do that all the time and there are other techniques for making cars headpieces. We could glue this, but if you want to go all all skill being wiring, you can't go wrong. So I'm just adding this other bull on to this side and again a little bit chips off or don't overdo it with jets off like. If you really add too much that it tends not to look natural now, what we're going to do is we're going to wire in these ones. But what needs to have the ability to come back on themselves so we're basically returning down the same to create that spree? Now, if you, if you want, you, can create a little bit of a band here, this just makes it easier for getting in with your tape a name we can finish with our leaves. So we'll do one name and again just look at your materials and see what you've got so and even just a little bit more tip software just to stop it. Looking bigger, you really want one into mirror the other end, and now we can just trim that all and tip it. So we do have to stay at one end, but you're not going to see that essentially, once we put this on the call, that's not going to be seen and we can use one of the leaves just to come back on top of that. So that's going to disappear now, because everything is worried. We can then move things around and we can have it sitting just the way we want. So we've created this little unit. Now we can put that on so cool. So what I've done here is I've. I'Ve taken two wires and just cover them in teep, so this makes them that they're not going to move and if you take one and just do a couple of twists and put it onto that bar at the top. But you want your twist to sit in the middle and then go up towards the other end and do the same again now we could glue this on or we can do what I'm going to do here, which is just wire it on so realistically what I Want to do is just put that wire through the corsage, so at one end we're going to go through. This is a little bit fiddly and at this end as well we're going to go through that back spine. So we've got the two pieces going here and then the two bottom ones there. So this is where you need to be a little bit of an octopus and have a little bit of dexterity. But if we twist that get them over, we and then on this one again we're just going in and twisting them so because we've used a wire to secure it. It'S really going to be secure, it's not going to move, but the one thing you want to make sure it is that when you trim your wire, you then make sure you fold your end in to a safe place, so that really you don't have any wires. That are jutting and that's it, and then we can just make sure that everything's sitting the way we want it, and that is a simple flower for wearing in here for a wedding or or depending on that it depends on the occasion really, but you can you Can use this technique with a comb to create any sort of decorative wear so quite simple, quite straightforward, and really pretty when you use the small rosebuds. Thank you for watching if you've enjoyed learning this technique, then have a look at some of our other videos and if you subscribe, then that keeps you up to date with everything we do. Thank you.

Libra: Elegant and simple design. Thanks for a thorough tutorial.

Jean Vignes: This is lovely. Thanks for the detailed instruction. I was thinking as I watched that this same technique could be used to cover a firm headband with dried or faux flowers, as long as one makes sure that the wires are twisted in where they won't poke the wearer in the head. I have a bunch of left over really nice silk faux flowers from a winter holidays arrangement I created a couple of weeks ago, including white orchids. Now I need a white headband or some white silk ribbon and some wire to experiment. ;0) Thanks!

Sarah Blima: Hi John! Once again, congratulations on your videos! Thank you for sharing these techniques in such a simple and didactic way! I am Brazilian and recently started working as a florist. I have made some bridal bouquets and my specialty is the bouquets with succulents. I received the request for a hair arrangement with orchids and succulents of full length of 10 inches. I am in doubt about how to make the structure of this arrangement because I will not use comb as a base. Could you help me with any tips ?!

Wendy's Craft Den: Hi John. Its me again. Just watching you with the floral tape how do you get it to catch? I have to use a dab of hot glue with mine or it just twists off. Thank you in advance. Hugs xxx Wendy

MARY LEBEAU: Thank you for your answer

pari sandhu: Wow! Can u please list or name of the tape you used

Carmen Elise: Where do you get these materials?

Wendy's Craft Den: Hi John. I have come across another problem I have had for a while and it happened again today. When I put on the green tape I have to use a spot of hot glue so it sticks to the wire. I have seen many do it like you do but it wont work with me. It must be something i'm doing wrong. I bought the tape from a local florist. Thank you xx
