Hi guys, I may have two little boys that I get asked all the time for ideas on how to store girls hair accessories. If you saw Elle's episode on Wednesday, you may have noticed the custom headband holder we put in her drawers today, I'm going to show you how to make this and some other easy storage solutions you can make with just a few supplies. All you'll need to get started is an empty oatmeal container fabric and ribbon a hot glue, gun scissors and attention. Rod is optional. We'Re going to begin by wrapping our oatmeal container in fabric. Remove the lid then lay out your fabric upside down and place the canister on top secure that first edge to your container, with some hot glue, continue wrapping it around and then seal it closed. Next, we're going to trim the fabric on the bottom so that there's about an inch hanging over add some hot glue and then fold the ends under once. Your bottom is secure, flip the container upright fold in the excess fabric on the top and simply secure with the lid it'll hold everything in place. Finally, I'm gon na add some ribbon to the edges. To give it a more finished, look and tada. You have a super cute rack for storing your headbands. You can either set it up right on the counter or my favorite way, which I'll showcase in her video, storing it horizontally in your drawers with a tension. Rod simply cut a small X in each end of the container, insert your tension, rod and then adjust it to fit in the drawer. You can also do the same thing with an empty toilet paper roll and it makes the perfect rubberband holder for this next, one you'll need two wooden dowels, approximately 70 inches of ribbon and a hot glue gun. First, we're going to cut five equal lengths of ribbon to approximately 14 inches next we're going to wrap each piece around one of our wooden dowels make sure they're equally spaced. Now we're gon na attach our second dowel the same way along the bottom and we're almost done we're going to add a string around the top dowel to hang it on the wall, and that's it. You can attach all your barrettes and hair clips to the ribbon and they look super cute and organized on your wall. Alright guys, I hope, you'll give these a try. Tell me in the comments below, if there are any other DIYs you'd like to see this fall and we'll see you next Friday, bye guys

Nikki Evans: Alternative to the ribbon/dowel idea: use a plain stretched canvas, paint it whatever color(s) you want, and then hot glue or staple decorative elastic to it in strips. You can find the elastic in the sewing section at Wal-Mart for a very reasonable price. I fit tons of bows on a fairly small canvas this way. Plus it looks really pretty so it doubles as decor!
