What did it have been this if the day we escape the amniotic sac from our mothers, the Dame are born and brought into this earth? Is that the moment we were gifted this beautiful curly hair? We were also gifted with a starter kit. All of the wonderful tools that you need to succeed on your curly hair journey, except we didn't have that until today's video. What'S good everybody, what's good Amanda hi everybody for those of you who are new here, I'm Mel sister Amanda, and we create these videos together. In partnership and in sistership in a sisterhood, as i may have been a big help to many of you on your curly hair journeys, amanda here has been a very big help on my journey on allowing me to get to day shipping straight to my house and All the tools that I need, because she's the one with the Amazon Prime account and therefore we thought it would only be fitting if we collaborated on this Easter video together to bring all of you guys our Amazon favorites for the perfect ultimate curly hair starter kit. For those of you that are already very familiar with our videos, you may recognize some of the products that we are going to be sharing in this video, but we thought it would just be helpful if we put it all into one video for those of you Who are either just starting your dream, who are new to our channel or or for those of you who are just interested in knowing what our essentials are? What our favorites - because there are quite a few of you, that we're requesting this video and now here we are so in no particular order. We will be sharing the 10 top curly tools and products that you need throughout your journey, these essentials. So without further ado, let's get to it who is to so. I think we should get started with this video with one of the most important, crucial styling tools you need on your journey is Amanda huh, no Amanda, so one of the most helpful tools you'll need when you're starting your journey boom under the user yeah. I know from me when I was frustrating my curly hair journey. This little baby right here have made a really big difference in my curls. Can I hold her? No I'm Cherie. I mean you guys know that I love my Dyson blow dryer, but not everyone can have a Dyson blow dryer and it's not necessarily the be-all end-all. It'S just great. The problem is that diffuser attachment doesn't go on all the other blue dryers that we have or for traveling. This guy is a universal diffuser that fits on almost all blow dryers, and it's equally as good. Because, because can I share my favorite I'm going to share my favorite feature of this diffuser? Okay, the number one thing I look for in my diffuser is the amount of holes. It has the same reason why I love my Dyson diffuser. This also has many different filters of holes and actually, what's completely different about this one is you can adjust the airflow, so this is going to give you ultimate control over your airflow, which is especially helpful if your blow dryer does not have different speed options. So you can choose to be extra gentle on the curls or if you need to get more air into the curls, you have the option and for those of us with longer thicker hair like mine, it has a really deep and thick bowl. That fits most of your curls into it, so some of the reasons to love this diffuser, but a diffuser in general, is going to be essential in a curling archery and for more tips of how to diffuse check out that video. After this one moving on, we can't really excited to announce this. One can say yeah sure, okay, the next essential tool that you will be needing is no. No! No, oh! It'S refreshing! No! No! If you're confused, it's a spray bottle mess mail fit! Okay, stop being cute. This is the best tool that you can have to instantly add hydration to your hair when it is in deep need of moisture. So for those of you guys who are very familiar with their videos, you always see Mel using your handy dandy. Spray bottle water is the number one thing that our hair needs, and so this easily adds water to your hair in a very effective manner. I think I should share this next one because I'm the one who found it and I was skeptical of it until I even a try and my life changed forever. So I came across this product on Amazon a while back and I decide to give it a try, because one of the things that I noticed on my journey was one of the things that I noticed. Amanda was doing absolutely incorrectly procede and I noticed as well that I wasn't washing my hair properly. You know because my hair, because my hair is so long and so thick, it was really difficult for me to really get in there and really exfoliate my scalp and really, you know, get every part of my head. While shampooing and conditioning it was nasty, it wasn't nasty, it was just hard she was struggling. I was trying so until I found this very, very, very, very, very, very useful product. If you guys haven't seen us use these in a video. Yet these are hair. Scalp massagers - and these were literally life-changing for me and for Mel um when it comes to washing our hair and really ensuring that we get that exfoliation. It helps with hair growth. It helps with hair health, scalp health. Everything you need to make sure that you really have a thorough, thorough, thorough wash day. I find it helps to distribute shampoo throughout my hair and also start the detangling process, and I never thought that I would believe it, but this thing is life-changing the reason why Mel is at first skeptical about this little tool was because it is like a silicone / plastic material, so as soon as she saw it, her immediate reaction was that's gon na get stuck your hair and it's gon na rip your hair and cause breakage, but literally it is so smooth once you play that product, when you put in shampoo the cool Wash whatever it is, it really is like silk it just glides to your hair, and it's not so exhausting like you can actually lift your arms after the shower. It really makes the process easier. I mean as a hairstylist, to find shampooing very important and, like I didn't think that this thing would be effective over then it would feel as good as it does, but it was and I changed you like she did and it's gon na change. Yours so make sure you get one because it's freaking amazing. I love it too. Now, speaking of washing your hair, what will you be washing your hair with? Well, here's the thing I think we all know by now that sulfates are terrible for you and you don't want to shampoo your hair anymore and co-wash only whatever curly girl method, let's be civil here. Okay, we have nothing against it. We have some things against it: anyways, I'm a big fan of shampooing the hair clarifying the hair is absolutely crucial and important. So one of my all-time favorite clarifying shampoos is if it's in your shower. This is a clarifying shampoo that I use in salon on clients, and I also use at home to remove all buildup also sulfate free. It is from Malibu seed. This is called undo goo. This shampoo actually has a full of 9, so it actually causes your cuticle to raise a little bit to really clarify strip anything and he build up out of it, and then you start fresh. So this one is absolutely amazing and it smells really good. It'S it's not like oranges. It smell really good, though okay, thanks Amanda, now that we've clarified her hair with the food after you've clarified your hair. It'S obviously very important. Everyone should know this can answer this, go moisturising! That'S not even it. What deep conditioning thing? Not quite anyways, though, you want to be deep conditioning and, of course, with something Gary conditioning and moisturizing. This guy is one of our favorite deep conditioner is that I don't know who you actually shared this in a video before this is definitely one that we always use, and it smells really good that manuka honey and my Fuhrer oil and oh, my guys smell so Good, like it's pretty much done, it's pretty much. We need a new one. That'S lasted a long time, it's less of a night, that's a shame, moister product. So this is a really hydrating deep conditioner that we use in times of desperate need desperately. This is pretty need of moisture. This is a wine that we always refer to so now for anyone with curly hair. You know it's easiest and best to comb your hair through, while you have a deep conditioner or some kind of conditioner in your hair and your hair is thoroughly wet. So yes, yes, so one of the brushes that we swear by is the wet brush. So this is the epic Pro wet brush. I find this one is a little bit better for those of us with thicker, denser hair. I know from experience from my hair this one really gets a better and more thorough brush through, and I have one of these brushes. It'S used in salon to my clients and every time I'm brushing someone's hair with this. They get a comment like what is that brush. It feels amazing it contours the head and literally feels like a massage as you're brushing through your hair, which we know we don't usually get to do unless our hair is wet with conditioner, so that one time that we're detangling our hair, you want to make sure That yeah you're not ruining it and you're, not causing breakage. What'S the wet brush, bristles do not cause, and it also just feels so amazing while you're doing it. So this is the ultimate detangling brush. Okay, since we're on the topic of brushes, I think we should say our last brush in the most vital brush that really changed my routine, the denon brush. We specifically use the d3 so before this very tool. In order for me to get definition, my curls, especially very early on in my journey when my hair was very straight. I always use the finger coil in order to just train my curls to be curly and to get that that definition that I desired and we all know how long finger coiling takes. Although the results can be phenomenal, it takes forever takes forever and is not realistic to do all the time but anyways. This is the one that we use. This is the one that I use on everybody in the salon. I find it's pretty universal over 12 for every curl type Wow. Is it ever fast and amazing? In fact, I styled my hair with it just a couple hours ago before we started filming this video. I styled my hair with it a couple days ago and my hair so like this, it's very good keeps that definition makes your routine really quick and easy, and you can get that show that is on so boom moving on. I think that's all the brushes now. What do we use the brushes with well products? Of course, now I've talked about this before in videos, the bare minimum that your hair needs is like a leave-in conditioner, some kind of moisture and then to take your spouse to the next level. You want to lock that all in with some holes and a gel, so basically two products to get your curls look and poppin, so some very easy to products that you can use are actually from a brand that we've used before in our videos curl mix. These are water-based products. Natural they've got plant seed gel. It'S everything that you're looking for to start your curly hair styling product journey life. I found these products first. It was me from watching shark tank yeah, I'm a big shark tank lover. I love shark tank and I found these guys on an episode of shark tank and I thought no. We should really give these guys to try it. They make all their products and flaxseed gel. Actually, this style that we're looking at was founded with the avocado moisture, but I went in with the flaxseed gel from the repair hair line. However, unfortunately, currently they're only available on Amazon in the United States, so for my Canadian and for anybody else who may not like curled mixed products or is looking for another alternative. We have also featured this line, which is from dippity-do some OG products, dippity-do. That has a curly hair specific line called girls with curls, which we actually featured in our summer, haircare routine and in the summer video. We explained why we use these guys but anyways. These have also been working very well very easy products. This is their deep treatment, but then they have their styling cream and their gel their jelly, and I believe, we're almost there except we're missing the most important when you are trying to preserve the curls. What are we talking about? How do we make our hair last? So long and keep looking fire well, that's all due to bonnet time. You guys know how much we love our bonnets, how much it's changed our routines and allowed us to really make a lasting style throughout the week. This is my favorite bonnet and you've seen my favorite orange bonnet, which we can't seem to find right now, since you put in the wash, but we don't know where it is so this is the one that I like to use. I think it even comes in a pack of three on Amazon, so it's a great bonnet. I really like it. I really love the thick band and you guys have seen us use them and how we put them on in our nighttime routine. But if you haven't, you check that out after this video and to follow with that for additional and extra coverage we like to use our satin satin or silk, whatever whatever you want to use pillowcases so give your bougie satin. If you know you're vegan or on a budget, I personally I sleep with both the bonnet and the soap. You know for those of you who are concerned, your bottom falls off in the middle of the night. You got this as an extra protection as well as it's really good for your skin. It'S softer on your skin. It helps you keep that product that you put on night time and then on your fence, wrinkles yeah. So that's the number one thing yeah and that's it guys. Those are our central products and tools, no wait. Wait. We forgot one thing that I absolutely love and need and trust and feel naked without okay. This is a bonus, but these things that you probably see me wearing literally every video, my invisible, is absolutely essential, in my opinion, as well, because it's hair elastic that you don't have to tie multiple times, because the loops just loop into your hair and hold it In place loosely without denting your hair, but I mean that's just a bonus. You don't have to use this to tie up your hair. I just specifically love it, because it's so loose and and easy, but other than that everything else. We believe our curly hair essential for those of us starting that journey for those of us just interested in knowing what our favorite things are, what we actually swear by and what we use on a daily basis so make sure you are sending this video to your Mom, your cousin, your ads, your friend, your sister, anyone that needs help on their curly hair journey and make sure you're subscribed to this channel because we post videos like this, every single texture, Tuesday until next time, peace for those of you who are new here que Pasa husband is everybody ready for their needs, a nose so in our own ways, so without further ado, let's get to it. No that wasn't matrices turbo on it, so without further ado certainly grant run it's an easy painless way to do it.

Kristen Bellows: I feel fortunate that I'm going on my curly haired journey so my kids can have that guide and not wait until they're 30 to figure it out....thanks for all of your videos!!!!

Tava Marie: went on amazon and loaded everything up. being a curly girl is NOT cheap

Lia: shout out to all the curly hair kids who wore their hair in braids until high school because they and their parents had no idea how to make their hair look good.

Curlybeccaa: I swear a starting kit with a how-to-guide would have saved my mother a lot of time when I was younger.

Maarja I.: "SILK if you're Boujee and SATIN if you're Vegan" yes, it's true, but still made me laugh because I haven't thought about it before

Marina: Whenever I feel the urge to flat iron my hair I go to your videos and the urge goes away <3

Cristianna Farias: The Scalp massager really is a life changer. It also helps with washing kids hair. They LOVE the massage. Best trick to get kids to agree to washing their hair every time!

Public Service Announcement: I can NEVER get my scalp all the way clean no matter how hard I try. I'm going to buy the silicon scalp brush for the shower. Saving lives, one curly girl at a time!

Traci Setter: Love that you're adding your seester! I watch because you're amazing, but my hair is more like Amanda's so I love getting to see both in one video!!!

Wendy Harmon: Any chance you could do a video specifically for the looser curl types? Like 2a-2c?

sjc04d: You can get the same scalp massager at Walmart for around $5...just in case you don't have Prime

Veil Break: Using a bonnet is an absolute must! Though Ive switched to a scarf, the elastic would sometimes give me headaches. And yes! since sleeping on a satin pillow, Ive not had lines on my face in the morning that take hours to disappear!

Frida Johansson: Just bought a blowdryer with a diffuser and a bonnet today. So exited to begin this journey.

Jackie Carmody: Thank you for supporting me on my curly hair journey! My story is similar to your seesters and our hair is similar too! Love your collabs. You guys make this much easier ❤️

Lindsay W: This video is amazing. I am brand new to all this, 3 weeks post partum with my 2nd & 3rd babies (twins, twice the hormones, twice the fun) and my hair has gone from "I could be wavy if I feel like it..." to freaking wavy/curly Hagrid from Harry Potter. You ladies are amazing and I'm so glad I found you! Big love from Western Canada!

Julia Naomi: I always thought my hair was just a ball of frizz and pieces of all different kinds from straight to curly in some sections. Now I'm finally just doing the basics and I'm seeing such a big change in my hair. This video was so helpful. I'll definitely need to add a few things to my collection. Especially that scalp massaging thing.

Minna Uyeda: Oh my gracious, you two are soooo cute! I love your videos, tips, tricks, you are a wealth of curly girl information. I’ve been heat , straightening free since February, and you’re videos have helped me grow my hair from a short mom bob, to shoulder length gorgeous natural curly hair. Love you guys!

Ashley Vega: Started watching her videos like a month ago and honestly.....her tips have already done WONDERS for my hair. I now believe everything she says and suggests.

S Kael: I feel this so deep. I wish I had a starter kit, instead of beginning to understand my curls only in my 20's. Thanks for the education Mel!

Sharon ba htwe: I am so incredibly glad to have found your channel, Mell! I'm Southeast Asian with long, curly hair, and it is SO hard to maintain. Because 1) Products specifically for curly hair is limited with 95% of them containing sulfates and silicones. Most people use various oils, but I've found that it dries out fairly quickly or just makes my hair look greasy. 2) The humidity is insane. Summer all year round with occasional monsoon seasons. I'm lucky enough to be in Singapore right now, so I have access to Amazon (with extensive cost), but better than nothing. If you have any advice to combat humidity, or a full list of easily affordable products, that would be amazing. Lots and lots of love!

T. H.: The Manuka honey deep conditioner is quality though! Always leaves my hair feeling soft and shiny and smells sooo good!

Deborah Guardado: I’m starting my curly hair journey and this has been soooooo helpful and inspiring! Thank you! Wish me luck! ☺️❤️

Thank you both so much for your time for these videos! When y'all do videos together they are my favorite! The seester interaction is so genuine and hilarious! They are so right on the curly girl method! I tried and my scalp did not agree! Love ya both!

Marie: Omg! Curly hair envy!!!!! Love your curls. Love this advice. Time to save. Thank you again for the great tips.

Lacey Forster: I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! After taking your guys advice my hair has been looking the best it's looked in a long time. My hair length is between you and Amanda's so I can take advice from both of you. Thank you two for making such helpful videos!❤

Karina Garcia: Thank you so much for these videos! You SEESTERRS are awesome always love watching you guys! I've been on my curly hair journey since 2013 and its great to see different products to help me switch up my routine!

Estreya Paez: I want to take a moment and thank you both. I have ONE (1) daughter that has curly hair (big sister has straight hair). You guys have helped me so much in terms of learning what products to buy and HOW to use them properly on her hair. I’m sure i have given her hair stories for future use! Lol. But thank you so so so much! Stay safe and always stay true to yourself and your hairstyling gifts! ❤️

Chris Keister: The wet brush gets caught in our hair( the little balls just get stuck,) me and my girls. I found that the tangle teaser works best for us, especially we have thick hair. Laura Mireles: Hi ladies, I have been obsessed with watching your videos. I too am a stylist and have learned so much and can pass all your knowledge on to my clients. I currently own a silk sleep cap & a hand held brush scrubber thingy. Lol Mell can you PLEASE PLEASE do a video on curl types/chart, how to identify curls & what products with curl types

Eliza Martinez: Thanks for the recommendations! Just one question, doesn’t the bonnet at night preserve heat and makes your scalp more prone to fungus? Love your videos by the way!!

Mirina XO: Love that Shea Moisture conditioner! It’s the best

Tanja Leon: Just found your channel and i am obsessed!! So glad i found you ❤️ my hair journey has been a wild one

guzmanex: Exactly what I needed. Starting my journey this week and can't wait for all of this stuff to come in. ONE QUESTION, after the shower, do you keep all the water in your hair to apply product or do you ring it out a bit first?

Katherine M: You're videos are very informative, i really appreciate the tips and advice <3

Cristina Gabrielle: Amanda! I have the same bonnet from amazon! Got the set last year some time. BUT the black one stains my pillows and sheets! Have you found that happening, or did I just get a lucky overdyed one? Also, this was SUPER helpful! Yay!

Tuscany Williams: Awesome recommendations! Just purchased those hairbrushes, been needing new ones for ages!

Yalidys Peña: It's funny because I just purchased that masque last week! I also just picked up a bonnet and scalp massager on Amazon. Now I'm looking forward to getting a new diffuser in the future. Thanks for tips!

Veronica Ross: i just want to say i watched this last night- didn’t even buy products yet but just listened to your steps for taking care of your hair and i changed up my routine a little bit today and already have been told by two different people that my hair looks better and healthier than normal. im so excited to see the progress when i actually change up my routine. thank you!!

alsarti17: I just got the denman brush and diffuser today and OMG it’s a game changer. My hair is out of control, in the best way!! I’m gonna go sleep on my new silk pillow cases. You are amazing... thank you so much for this list!!!

Mrieekk: After watching many of your videos I have now just spent a shit load of money on all kinds of products that are recommended by you, and I cannot wait to get started!!! So excited! Thank you for giving me faith in restoring my curls!

The_Lite_Crystal: Thank you! My hair looks just like Mell's and I think my face shape is the same so i literally trust everything you say! you hair looks perfect!!

Anyah M: Thanks for the recommendations ladies! This request is for Scientist Mel: Can you please test cleansing the hair and scalp using bentonite/rhassoul clay? I’m very curious. Thanks!

Siedah Holmes: I have that spray bottle! Picked up from Sally Beauty. It's life-changing!

AlizMari23: I use a paddle brush instead of a comb to work the conditioner through my hair because it helps distribute the conditioner more evenly and allows me to use less product. And it detangles better and faster.

lipstickprincess1: Amanda MUST do a makeup tutorial BASED on this exact look

C: First thing, you guys won the genetic lottery. You're both gorgeous. I wish my sister had curly hair like me but my brother does and I try to pass on as much knowledge to him as I can! My stylist used Malibu Undo-Goo on my hair and I thought about purchasing a bottle but I was wondering if it also chelates the hair. I have very hard water where I live and I want a clarifying shampoo that will also get the mineral deposits and chlorine out of my hair. Can anybody tell me if the Undo goo chelates?

Judie Loveday: Mel, I love seeing you and your seester together. Thanks for indulging my need for hearing you say "seester"!

October Hanke: i am very grateful to have had a mother with type same curl type as me... taking care of my curls has been instilled in me since i was little!!!

Mocha R: New subscriber!! Thank you for these tips!! I cant wait to try that brush!! I haven't brushed my hair since I was in grammar school bc I thought that I couldn't use one. I'm a grown 40 yr old lol. I'm so happy I found your videos and that its OK to NOT follow the curly girl method!! Yiu guys rock!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Life savers!!! ❤❤ I will be purchasing the little silicone brush and the big black scary brush I already have the denmen brush and love it. I will also be getting a bonnet.

kay davis: Love your videos! So glad I found you cause I struggle with my curly hair.
