New Nurse (& Nursing Student) Haul | Figs Review, Goclove Shoes, Hair Accessories, & More

Hi guys and welcome back to my channel, my name is diana. If you're new here and today, i'm going to be filming a haul, a nurse haul, new nurse haul. I don't even know what to call this video, because the things that i bought are also things that you would buy for like nursing, school, so new nurse new student nurse, whatever you want to call it, i'm filming everything that i have bought within the past couple Of weeks in preparation for my new job, but i just wanted to buy a whole new set of things because i'm so excited today is actually my first day. I did a bunch of online modules and i had a little zoom call that i had to go on with hr and i am done for the day, so everything that i bought. If i can find the links, i will put everything in the description box. So just check there for links to everything most of the stuff is from amazon. I'M gon na get into it, because i did buy a lot. So let's just first thing i bought is a new bag and in school i basically just used a backpack or like a little tote bag, but i did want to get a big nice bag to use as a nurse. So i found this one on amazon and the thing that sold me sold me on this bag is that the the water bottle actually holds a hydro flask like most of the time. These side, pockets are small enough and they don't hold like thick bottles like this, but this does and it has two so i was like yeah. I need that right now. This is from amazon. I think it's called bag smart, it's the perfect size this. This is machine washable. It does have a large zipper, so the entire bag does shut um. It actually does have a laptop sleeve in here as well, that's padded! So if you would like that, that's an option and then on the inside it has laptop sleeve. You probably can't even see this two smaller pockets here and then one zipper pocket on the inside and then on the front pocket and then two side, water bottles, that's the bag, i'm going to be using when i start nursing again, two big things: water bottle, holder That actually fits a hydro, flask and then two it has a full zipper on the top. I see some bags that don't have zippers and i kind of want all my stuff to be secured. Moving on to the lunch box that i got looks like this. Also from amazon, my boyfriend kindly got this for me. It'S nice and compact has two handles. It is insulated on the inside um, it's small, but it's it holds a lot of stuff. So i just really like this size has one small pocket on the inside or on the front and to go with that. I got a new container for lunch and i wanted one with compartments on the inside. So i got this one from home goods and it has three little containers and they all all are removable. So i can like move this around. If i don't want any containers, i can take them all out, and this is going to be great for lunches. When i go to work. This was only five dollars from home goods and it's the brand california basics and then going on to badge real stuff. So the bad drill that i got from amazon, it's the hey, hey brand. I got a little brain bad drill because i am working in the neuro icu, so obviously the brain and then to go along with that. When i was a student - and i was on that unit, getting precepted for my senior clinical, i noticed a lot of the nurses had their pen lights attached to their badge reels. What they use is like a little flashlight yeah, so they have their pen lights in a mini flashlight that attaches to the badge reel, because we have to do narrow assessments every hour. So you don't want to lose your pen lights and most easiest and convenient ways to just attach it to your bad drill. So i got a whole pack of the ones that they use on amazon. I am set another thing my boyfriend got me was a scrub cap. Now this is optional, but once i am outside of training, i will most likely get floated to other units, because icu nurses are the first to float, i believe in my hospital. So i just got a scrub cap because eventually i most likely will get floated to a coveted unit icu, but i just got this scrub cap also from amazon. It'S really nice. It'S meant for like females with thick hair and i've seen really good reviews about it. So i just got it probably just keep this in my bag, while i am in training because my unit is not covered, so i won't need this until much later, once i'm off of training and eligible to float next thing, boyfriend also got. It is a undershirt. It'S just a plain basic white undershirt, also from amazon. It is the brand siobhan 7.. I don't know how to say that, but it's just a white undershirt and i got a size, medium white, undershirt, basic another sort of accessory thing that i ordered. I got these off of etsy. I will link this seller. Her name is sewing sherry on etsy and i got three headbands from her. I thought that they were so cute and i'm definitely a headband girl when it comes to wearing my hair up. I think it's just. I have so many little baby hairs that i just want to like throw back. So headbands are my favorite, so i got three from her. The first one is this: coffee, iced, coffee, headband, and the best thing is that they all have buttons on them. So you can attach your masks to the buttons instead of your ears, so i got this one. I got this. I think this is like the raid done print, but it just has like a mask: pull socks, glove pen, lights, telescope, gloves super cute also has buttons on them, and then they just have like the twist front. If you can like see so when it's on it twists and the last one i got is just this blue one looks like this health care supplies and then also has buttons. So i got all three of these. I think each one was like 11.50 and they're. Really nice they're super soft they're super stretchy. They fit really nice. The headband button thing is correctly placed it's like at the perfect spot for your mask yeah. I love these. So the next thing i showed this in my nursing school supplies, but obviously get a stethoscope holder, just protect your stethoscope, while you're traveling, but something that my boyfriend also got to me was super cute, a stethoscope. Can you see this stethoscope charm, so he it just. Has my name on it and then rn on it and you can just attach it to your stethoscope. I just think it's so cute. It'S very personalized touch um. I don't know where he got this. I think he just found a random shop on like instagram, but i know that they have them all over etsy, so just definitely go check it out. Stethoscope charm super cute love it. The next things are the bigger things. I got some clove shoes, so if you've never heard of clothes, they are sneakers designed specifically for healthcare workers. I found them on instagram, but they are getting more well known. They look like this. I got the light gray with like a light: blue lavender, sole, look like this. Okay, i'm on the website go clove.com. Let me tell you about them, so they are all day comfort, utmost comfort in mind, so they do have a really soft cushion. I will say they are extremely comfortable. The soles are just so nice. I just want to walk all day on these says: they're easy to clean their fluid, repellent upper and laces. So the entire upper part of the shoe and the laces are fluid repellent. They are designed to be cleaned with the same wipes you use on the job they are slip on, which is also super nice. You don't have to worry about laces or coming undone. So if you can see it is a push and you just push it and it like stretches out and you can adjust it to your foot. Mine are already tied to my foot, so i don't want to like undo it because i did spend a while doing that um and then i just tied it a little extra knot here. So the laces weren't that long so now that they don't go down the floor, strong grip outer sole. So you are like slip, resistant um and they are odor fighting. They have high performance, ortholite inserts made to fight odor and bacteria when it's time to reset just throw them in the wash they'll bounce right back. These are just designed for healthcare workers and they have all the features that i would want in a shoe. So definitely go check them out. They are a little bit on the pricier side. So i just picked out this lavender tie-dye one compression socks love my clothes. I cannot wait to wear them. They are so comfortable. Definitely go check out club. If you're interested super excited the moments we've all been waiting for, i purchased figs. My hospital does not require our scrubs to be embroidered or anything, so i really had a free for all on what scrubs i wanted. I just had to get the correct color, which my unit we wear seal blue, so i knew i wanted figs. I'Ve heard so many great things about figs. I have tried a different a couple, different brands from when i was a student, and i just had a hard time finding bottoms that fit me appropriately. I just feel like they're, not meant for a womanly body, they're just they're, either too baggy they're too tight they're, not stretchy enough they're too stretchy like the waistband. I just have so many problems with scrubs in general, so i wanted to try out figs because i've heard amazing things about them and they did not disappoint. I ordered two pairs and i'll just tell you right really quickly. I got two tops, so i got the katarina one pocket scrub top and i ordered medium for both and then for the bottoms. I got the yola skinny scrub pant in a size medium as well, so just two pairs of the same top and bottom. I am going to order a third pair in a couple of weeks, once i get my first paychecks and have stabilized a little bit um, i do want to get a third pair and i think i'm going to get the same top, because i do like the Look of the one style scrub top and then i'm going to get the zamora joggers, because i've heard really great things about it. This is the top. It'S that one pocket scrub top again. This is the seal blue. I ordered in a medium, very comfortable. It has that one pocket there are no pockets down below. This is the top, and then these are the yola bottoms. So has an elastic waistband. It has a drawstring. This one has like the most pockets. I believe out of all the bottoms um. It has a mini pocket here: two pockets, there like two pockets there on the side, another mini pocket here and then a zippered pocket and then two butt pockets. So they go down to a straight skinny and there is a little cuff opening here. Okay, so these are the figs on sorry. There'S like sunlight, so here is that katarina top in the medium and then there's yola skinny grub bottoms. This is what they look like. I have my top tucked in because i just think i like it like that better and then at the bottom. I am wearing them with the clove shoe, so you can see how the length fits and how it looks not exactly a flare bottom but they're. Also, not a jogger either. So this is the scrubs super comfortable. I can move super comfy stretchy love. Okay, so i just showed you, the full body of me, wearing the scrubs, i'm just gon na finish out the rest of this video wearing my scrubs. I don't really feel like changing back, but i am to give you a couple thoughts on the scrubs because, like i said, i am very picky with my scrubs and i do have a couple of things to say about them. The first thing the sizing, i think, is perfect it's spot on. However, i will say that the bottoms are very loose if they are not tied. This is scrub bottom. They are very, very loose, but i do like the fit on the legs. It'S form fitting, but it's not tight. Skin tight, there's still some room for my legs to move. It'S not hugging me in all the wrong places. I think it's fantastic as far as the top. This is also a struggle for me because i am a little bit of larger boobage area, so this area tends to get a little bit tight on me and i feel restricted when i try to move like that or like this, the medium fits me perfectly. The top and the bottom same fabric, so it is very, very stretchy. I was very surprised when i thought the material, because first impression it didn't feel as stretchy as it actually is when it's on your body um. As far as measurements go, i am typically a medium across the board. So that's why i stuck with my size, my bra size. I am a 34 cd just depends on the day, usually a c, i'm a medium again most tops for bottoms, i'm a size. 28 waist usually size six bottoms. I am five seven and about 150 pounds for the length of the bottoms. I showed you how they hit on my feet. I think if you are any taller than like five seven, five, eight, you might wan na opt for the tall version, because i think these might fit you a little bit short. I would just go by the size guide know that they are a little bit more form-fitting if you like, a bagger baggier fit definitely size up. I think that the sizing for me was perfect, i'm very happy with the mediums they just fit great. I feel good in my figs. I love them. I love them. I love them. I did get a coupon with figs, because your first order, if you like, sign up their email, i think they give you oh, what is it 20 30 off? So that's why i think i ended up getting like 30 40 off my entire order when i ordered the two sets.
