Hey guys welcome back to my channel. This is vlogmas day 19 and today we're going to be doing a lemonade braids at the salon, so um the stylus on this look is io um and we're going to be doing these beautiful medium-sized lemonade braids on the client. I'Ve always found lemonade braids to be like one of the most challenging hairstyles. For me, i don't know why. Um, i feel like the trick, was always at the fringe right, so the place where it kind of falls towards your face. I'Ve always thought that was like the most challenging like mathematical parting, but it always looks so beautiful when i see the end result, but i don't know i just always felt like it was such a challenging hairstyle. So it's just really cool to see other stylists really really. You know executed so effortlessly and i have so much respect for them, because lemonade is not for the week. Okay - and i think what really makes this hairstyle is the parting right, the design that you know kind of just allows the hairstyle to flow on. You know the scalp. I think that's really what where the beauty lies in this particular hairstyle, and so many uh stylists have their own different designs and creations that they come up with, and sometimes it's really just like your freestyling, so you're not really thinking. Okay, i have to do this and do that and do that as you just go, you just kind of create the the wave and the flow of the cornrow pattern um, and i just think that is so cool and, like so amazing, because you almost have to Have like like foresight while you're braiding, so it's just really cool to see it all unfold. So all these white products you see on her hairline is the edge control. We are still waiting on our um stock to come in. I want you guys. Shipping things to lagos can be such a stressful process and i've been getting told. Oh, it's coming this week it's coming this week and then this week will come and they'll say: oh it's coming next week, like literally this december, is literally the worst time to ship anything any products, because it's just taking forever and it's so annoying because i don't Want to buy a bulk of products at the salon, so we literally have just been buying like little portions of edge control, and you know we're you know making the best out of it. They are not our standard per se, but we are doing our best to make sure that we're still able to you know, provide you know, quality products and be able to you know work with it to create. You know, quality hairstyles. So it's just. It'S really annoying. Just to see that this is really taking forever, but hopefully next week it comes in i'm keeping my fingers crossed. I was still going to be here in like two days so let's see, but it's just really annoying, because i really wanted us to have the product in time for december and now it's like december 19th and the products are still not here yet. So it's just really really irritating, but i this made me just really really value our product and realize, like yo, there isn't really very good quality, like gels available in legos for breeders like really really not it's really bad, it's really annoying and the ones that are Available they are so expensive and it's not even like good quality in terms of like hold, so it's just it's so annoying, so i'm just waiting to have our products. So that way i can start pushing it because, honestly, i didn't really push it initially, because i just wanted something for us to use at the salon and then our clients. Obviously, when they, you know, use it on their hair, they like it and then they would make a purchase at the end of their services. But i wasn't really pushing it that much. But now i realize that they actually had very, very, very, very good gel products that we were using so now, i'm going to start really pushing it because yeah the market is trash. Okay, as you can see, what happened right here was we were sitting directly in front of the air conditioner, so the ac mixed with the gel, was just drying it out, because we just kind of use it to hold down her baby hair, and so you know So on so um once we start putting the hair in hot water, we're going to use it to kind of dab off the um excess products to make sure that white cast is not there. Thankfully, the white cast did not show on the braids, because we didn't use much of it. We just used it to hold that hairline down. So, as you can see, the stylus is almost done with the lemonade braids. The design is coming together, very beautifully, very, very beautifully um. A parting is so important like when it comes to braiding it's the foundation of every hairstyle. I feel like once. You can figure that out and get really comfortable with parting and just trusting your instinct when you start doing designs um, then the more you see improvements in your work. So that's one thing: i'd like to challenge you guys on just to work on your part. Your parting try different styles, you know get comfortable with the uncomfortable. You know things that you think. Oh maybe difficult, just try it, because it only takes one time right. You try it. You see, you know where you messed up, and then you know how to approach it the next time and then you get better. So that's literally life, so yeah. So now that we're done we're just spraying, some hairspray onto the hair and then we're going to be using a blow dry blow, dryer to kind of melt away, any excess fly aways we may have missed while trimming with the scissors and we get a lot of Questions about this blow-dry technique that we use at the salon, so i recommend you don't use a brand new blow dryer, so we use all dryers that you know can withhold like the. What do you call? You know we block the back end of the blow dryer to kind of let the almost like you're overheating it in a sense, so that way it gets really really hot and it melts it will literally melt the extra little fly away strands on your braids, such An amazing technique, okay, so to get rid of that awful white cast we're just taking a damp um hot towel and just wiping off the product from the hair, and then we're going to be using an edge control to relay the edges. So that is about it. So it's not a big deal. I absolutely love this hairstyle. I'Ve never done lemonade bruise, that's the only hairstyle! I'Ve never done, and that's because i'm so scared. It'S not going to look good on me. I don't know why i just feel like my head is too small for limited braids and i would just be like, like a dot, feel like it, takes a certain type of like babe to pull off like lemonade, braids, okay, uh! So now we're just applying some mousse onto the hair. I love applying this onto the hair because it literally would just calm your scalp and just like further moisturize, your hair and your braids. Overall, it's such you know it's it's like one of my favorite thing about getting braids done is getting most of my hair and i absolutely love it and, of course no hairstyle is complete unless your edges are completely done. Okay, so make sure you lay your edges before you get out of your chair or your client. You know make sure everything is together. Some people don't like edge during their baby hair, so you can just brush it into the braids whatever it is. That they're comfortable with just make sure that everything looks good and put together, uh. So yeah you guys. I really appreciate you guys for watching this.
