Welcome to my tutorial on how to make a Christmas tree hair clip to make this little Christmas tree hair clip. You will need a two inch rectangular hair clip about four inches of three-eighths brown grosgrain ribbon six inches of red three-eighths program, women and 72 inch strips of three-eighths grosgrain ribbon in green. This is a green polka dot, but you could use a darker green if you like. You'Ll need a glue gun, a heat source to seal the ends of your ribbon. I just use a lighter and i like to use tweezers when i'm working with the hot glue. So i don't burn my fingers and, of course, scissors to cut your ribbon. First, i take the brown grosgrain ribbon to cover my hair club is start in the back, pull it across and then tuck it inside with the hot glue and that's going to be the trunk of our tree. Next, you take these little pieces of green and some hot glue and turn them into loops. Just sealing the ends of them, so they look like this after you've turned all the little green strips into loops. You start on one side with a little bit of glue and you make the first slanted part of your christmas tree. I guess that's about 40, maybe a 30 degree angle do the same on the other side overlapping you just kind of overlap. It like that on the bottom there's going to be an extra branch in the middle, so you put another bit of glue right. There put the middle loop on and then you just continue up the sides with your loops and then all we have left is the bow and just tie a simple little bow for the top. Okay, after you've got your little boat. I'D just trim the ends of your ribbon to make them even and seal them with your heat, so they don't pray, and that goes on the top of your tree now. You could also take some embellishments and put ornaments on the tree to decorate it a little bit. These are some nice little decorations. There are 10 millimeter petals crystals that they sell and hair hardware, and you can put them on your tree as a little bit of decoration and there you have it, there's one just simple one with the embellishments: you can jazz it up any way you like, but It makes a nice little holiday, hair clip

MarleneRN-malona23: We made ours just now! thanks :-)

Designs By Janie Marie: Very cute TFS !!

HairHardware: @xBelx69 - No, you don't actually touch the ribbon to the fire. Just put it about 1/4" away from the flame and the ends of the ribbon will melt just slightly. It only takes about a second or two to melt. If you have a wood burner you can also use the end of that to seal it. You can also use fray check or even clear nail polish if you don't want to use a hot source.

aimbeccabow77: I like you videos a lot. They are the best! Very helpful. I was wondering though. Do you ever attach, for example, a boutique bow to a snap clip as opposed to a gator clip? I can't seem to find a video demonstrating this. Is it not possible? WOuld you just use glue? If so, what kind? Thanks!

Olivia Hook: I love your tutorials I will love making these for my sister for the holidays and your boutique bows for her cheer games. I have a question for you, Is it ok if I sell my bows I make from your video's I will give credit

Tonya Herron: very pretty!
