Hey y'all! I hope you enjoyed this quick video! #Crochet hairstyles are one of my favorites to do! They can be super quick or a bit more lengthy depending on the hair texture and how well you maintain it. One thing I do love is the versatility it allows and it helps aid in #hairgrowth because of less manipulation! What are your thoughts?

XO,

Jai

natural hair natural hair journey grwm how to mini twist protective style

All right, hey, y'all, so we're jumping right into this video, so just starting with my most basic braid pattern, um just a few cornrows going back and they all connected, of course, in the back of my head. This is not my best work, but it got the job done so the hair that i'm using today is from trendy tresses. This is their goddess, curl and 14 inches in color 1b, and i ended up using about two and a half packs of this hair. Super soft super springy um and i'm just going to you know, do a basic, crochet and install this right on in just starting with small pieces like so with this hair, the smaller the pieces, the better the install will be. I don't know what happened to my cornrow right there on the side, so y'all with this hair, just make sure you are looping it through a couple times. I think i did most of the sections about five or six times as far as putting the knots in it's not really time consuming you guys, but um. It can be if you're taking super small pieces. So i started off with small pieces in the back and then, as i kind of got to the middle um of my head here, i did a little bit larger pieces just to kind of fill in the gap, and this is how the hair is looking after. One pack of hair. I also think this hair is prettiest when it's nice and big and teased out a little bit. So this is how my sections are looking um for the middle of my head. Just kind of give you guys an idea like i said i did them a little bit bigger just to kind of hurry along the process. So so i took really really small pieces in the front um and also as far as your foundation goes so your base, your cornrows, go, the smaller your cornrows, the more natural um crochet, will always turn out. So keep that in mind um and then here i just kind of just did different, like techniques to um install it. I did just regular knotting and then i think this one. I did a little bit different. I think, like the invisible method which i have not done in like over a year or maybe longer so i was like wait wait. How do i get this but yeah? So i know we're all stuck inside and really don't have many places to go, but i think this hair this this curl pattern. Everything will be great for a special occasion, and this is also hair that you can keep in for quite a while. So if you're looking for a long-term protective style, then i would definitely recommend the hair from trendy dresses and after this you guys, i'm just going to shape it just a little bit just scissors, i'm not going to cut too much of the hair, but you'll see Me shape it just a tiny bit. You always want to make sure you're shaping your crochet hair, simply because it just makes it look a little bit more natural make sure it's even give it some volume give it a few layers, and you are good to go so stay tuned just a bit in The end i'm just kind of gon na i'm just gon na kinda, i'm just gon na give you guys a few pointers. Few tips um just talk a little bit about the hair and that'll, be it all right, hey y'all! So, just a few things about this hair, what i did what i didn't do, what you should not do and what you should do. First, starting off love this hair. I forgot how much i really like trendy tress's hair. They have the softest crochet hair. I think i have ever tried yeah and if you have tried trendy tresses - and you know just how soft, how lightweight their hair is, if you haven't then now is a great time to do so. They are a small business and now is a really great time to support our smaller businesses, especially our black owned business. So keep that in mind, i only used about two and a half packs of hair. I probably could have used um like three full packs. I think three packs is enough for a really nice natural looks. I could definitely fill in more at the top and on the sides, but i just wanted to show you guys where i wanted to stop at this hair feels so lightweight. I hardly. I don't even feel it on my head to be honest with you guys i did bigger, like chunks kind of in the back and in the like, the middle, just to kind of hurry up to phillips base to make the process go a little bit quicker. But i highly recommend these smaller um pieces, especially especially in the front trendy tresses, has the prettiest curl patterns. You guys. I love this, and i also like the fact that the hair can be used in so many different ways. You can crochet it in you can do passion twist or whatever kind of locks or twists or anything also depending on the kind of curl you get and, of course, keep in mind the length. You can also add this hair into like braids and twist to give you more of a boho vibe. So yeah you guys. That is pretty much it. I think. That'S all. I have to say so. Thank you guys so much for watching. Don'T forget to give me a thumbs up for this video. Let me know if you have any questions comments, anything like that, and i will talk to you guys. My next video bye

Jai Marii: FYI: If you plan on ordering this hair I say dont do anything less than 3 packs. Go with 4 to be on the safe side. I added more hair and am comfortable at 3 packs ( not like I'm going anywhere ), but 4 would give a full look and blend better with hiding knots. Also, as far as nighttime routine I simply did a loose high ponytail.
