Hey everyone today we're going to actually do a styling video, a sort of a styling video. I want to talk with you about styling, your wigs with headbands. I know i've done a couple of other videos and i will link them below on wearing headbands with wigs, but today i want to talk about these new headbands that i got, which i love. I purchased them on amazon. So i'll tell you a little bit about those, but really the focus of this video is to talk about styling, your wigs in simple, easy ways with just a few accessories that might open up the possibilities for you. If you happen to have some wigs that you don't wear a whole lot or if you want to purchase a curly wig but you're, not sure if it's going to work for you, it might take away a little bit of that risk. So if you're interested in hearing about this topic, then stick around for the rest of the video. First of all, i'd like to tell you that i am wearing a main attraction broadway in the color nutmeg. I have multiple views. Uh reviews of broadway on my channel in various colors, i love broadway, and i love that this wig is very affordable and also has tremendous longevity. I'Ve had the broadway, that's on my head for two years now. Of course, i don't wear her every day, but i have worn her a lot um 30 times. Maybe i'm not really sure exactly. I wear her, often in an updo like i have on right now. So, let's take a look at how i have her style, because this will lead into what we're going to talk about. So, as you can see, i have her up with a headband and i also have a clip in the back and i really like to do that with shirts, like i have on like a sweatshirt with a hood or a high necked shirt. But i also like to do it in the summer, because i find that pulling wigs up off of your neck in the summer can really help to make them cooler to wear. Just one of my favorite favorite all-time looks with broadway, so i am gon na. Take some time to show you how i styled her this way, but before i do that, i really want to show you these headbands. I just purchased them on amazon and i love them. Oh my gosh, i just think they're fantastic, so the package i got came with one two, three six headbands, so i've got a very light blue one on right. Now it came with a black one and they've got like this sort of fake knot on the top. That'S just it's part of the headband, i'm holding a container here, so it doesn't untie, it doesn't come off. This is just all one piece, so basically it's it's like a a stiff board or something this isn't working very well for me and then it is covered in fabric and it has a very soft stiff end on it. So it's just fantastic they're, not tight. They do not squeeze my head with a wig on at all, not even a little bit they're, just wonderful, so i've got black there's this sort of greenish, yellow color, there's like a denim blue color and two really light ones, one sort of a light beige and A light pink, not sure how well those are coming across, but that's in the package that i got, but they come in all kinds of different colors and patterns. So i will link it in the description box. If you're interested again, i purchased it on amazon and i'm just loving it all you do. Is you slip it in and you're good to go? It stays put, it doesn't squeeze it's fantastic, so i think having some great headband options are really something that you should invest in. If you can do a look like this, if you're never ever going to wear any type of a headband, obviously then this isn't for you. But if you can do this, you can purchase these. I have one with just the cloth. Headbands people call them gators, sometimes, and a lot of people are actually wearing them as masks right now, and so i have used those for years and years. Even before i started wearing wigs, you can use bandanas just so many different options, but i do think that if you're struggling with a wig, maybe it's a basic cap wig and it doesn't have any cap features like this one, and so it's hard for you to Make it look realistic, throw a headband in it's so great um, another product that i'm gon na, show you i'm gon na grab it here that i really like - and i have i also purchased this on amazon. I'Ve had it for a while. Is this sort of razor comb and i'll link it in the description too? It comes with a little plastic cover, but i really like this, especially when i put a wig up in an updo like this, because when i pull the little tendrils down like i have here, sometimes they're too long or they don't look super realistic. And i did that even this morning with this one, it's sort of a work in progress and i'll just kind of demonstrate for you. So i pulled out some tendrils and then you take this. You have to kind of do it at an angle, but then i just took this and you kind of comb down until it cuts off the hair, but then you get a more manageable length out of it and it doesn't look like a blunt cut like you. Would get with straight scissors, and i tend to like the way this works and looks a little bit better than thinning shears when i'm just attempting to maybe cut down a few tendrils and make them just a little bit shorter. Because i wear this wig up. Most of the time, i'm not that worried about doing that, because i don't think it's going to wreck any other way that i wear it, especially in curly wigs. I think you're fine, even if i wore this up sometimes and down, sometimes with the way that the curls lay it's no problem at all. I i think it'll look just fine, even if i do this and then decide to wear it down. So let me just do it on this side, because i'm noticing that i'd like a few more kind of layered look over here so again just to demonstrate you do this at an angle, kind of start with wherever you want, i'm kind of putting tension on the Hair and i'm pulling as i'm doing it and now then i just mess with it. You might spritz it with water. After if pulling and cutting straighten the curl a little bit, water will just bring that right back. But that's what i do with my curly wigs, and so i did that with a little bit of the tendrils back here as well on both sides. So i definitely think investing in just a little kind of razor comb like that. If you're going to wear curly wigs is going to be fantastic, it will really really help you as you're, trying to arrange the style once you get it on your head and then for this look back here. All i did was take this claw, clip and i'll link that as well um. You can get these anywhere cvs walgreens. I did put another little clip in there just because i had a couple of stray hairs, but essentially you know you have it so that the hair is down and then all you do is you take it now? I have it here this way with it stays, so it has been adhered to. My forehead, which then allows me to do a lot of styling with it without having to worry about it, um pulling off my head as i'm messing around with it, but then i just took it. I gather the hair up in the back. Now i don't have a mirror to double check my work, so i would be doing this in a bathroom. Mirror double checking my work rearranging, but then you just take the clip you clip it in and then you want to rearrange the back. So you pull the back down in case. As you were clipping it. You were lifting the wig up in the back. You could try adhering the back of the wig with it stays or with tape. If you really have a problem with it, slipping in the back once i get this situated, though it's not an issue at all, so that's kind of what i do and then i might pull out a few tendrils of hair. You know fix this part if it didn't quite go in the clip and doesn't look good, you know, and then i just sort of mess with it till i get it where i want it, and that is really all i do when i clip my wigs up. So i hope that helped you as you're thinking about styling your wigs as you're thinking about how to make a wig work. Maybe you purchased a curly wig and you find you're not comfortable in that curly wig and you need to do something with it. Maybe you um just want to change up your look, and so i want to encourage you guys play with your wigs get some accessories. Those are going to be really helpful and, don't be afraid, that's i think the bottom line you're not going to break anything, and if you don't like it, then you just don't put it up, but hopefully this was helpful. You can do this with any wig. It doesn't have to be a curly wig. It can be a straight wig. I just find that this is a bit easier to do with the curly wig, the curls, especially that messy curly look is in, but it's also a more acceptable straighter. Wigs sometimes require a little bit more styling skill, not sure how it looks in the back. Like i said, i can't see what i did, but you saw it before, and so i just wanted to demonstrate exactly what i did thanks for watching. Let me know if you have questions and check out the description for any of the products that i've shown you today, all right, i'll talk to you soon.

Lisa Blackburn: Just not fair Denise, every wig looks so cute on you!!

Margo P: Great tips, Denise! It looks adorable! I’ve got a couple curly ones I’m not so comfortable with so will try this! Thanks for posting!

L S: Such a cute updo. I have Broadway and love how an updo, with simple accessories, can change her look. Lots of fun, curly styles available that would be really cute worn this way. Love the fun/positive ideas you always share for making wig wearing easier and affordable. Getting different styles/looks out of one piece is always a winner, imo. Thanks! ❤

Sally Biondo: Very cute, Denise! I have those headbands too and they are great. I wear the black and white one with my Becky wig. I love her curls but don’t like the way the front of the wig looks but with the headband it looks so cute! Thanks for sharing. I mostly wear shorter or pixie wigs but maybe I’ll try to pull up my Becky. Thanks again, for all your ideas and encouragement. This journey is really becoming FUN!

Marguerite Cummings: Thanks Denise for the great tips and techniques!

Marie S: Really cute style. Very helpful info. Thank you. Will give those headbands a try.

Kate Carr: Thank you, thank you, thank you! I so much needed this video. I have purchased two curly wigs and had no idea what to do with them LOL :-). But thank you again now I know what to do or at least something I can try. Have a wonderful day. Much love my friend

Front Porch Wig Chat: I just did a video for my other channel and wore my Champagne Rooted Girl Mono back in a big claw clip. It looked so adorable! I love that wig! You have a convert to GM in me (and, believe it or not, in Rachel! She got one, too). I need one in Sandy Blonde Rooted now to add to my Champagne Rooted and Caramel Rooted.

Shelly F: Great video! Thanks for doing this! If I met you on the street, I would never have known this was a wig because it looks great put up in the back. You cannot see your bio hairline at all! Sending you hugs. And blessings to you and your family, Shelly

Cheryl Bush: Thank you for this. I am super new on my wig journey and have not actually worn a wig outside of the house yet. I am realizing I have no idea how to style hair because I never had enough to style before. It was thinning and super fine, so I just wore it in an ever shorter pixie. These are good ideas.

AJ Row: How fun, Denise! Loving the headbands!❤️

Patty Carosi: Looks really cute I like the headbands and updo. Thank you

MoodyGirl Beauty: Love those head bands!!! I'll have to check those out!!!

Mike Zervas: Joyce Z Great tip for wigs when you want to change them up. Keep up the great videos!

Karen Lynn: Thanks Denise? Great tips. Cute headbands, too

D W: Great information Denise❣️

Julie Mann: Oh Denise--I love these. I'm really enjoying your showing the headbands w/ wigs. I'm so glad they don't squeeze. Maybe I could put It Stays on the front of an old topper, put it up, and use a headband! How fun. Thank you.

Coast Daze: So, so cute! I like it and it would be good for windy days! Although, imo, you wearing Broadway down is fabulous. It is so attractive, pretty, cute on you and this color is amazing with your skin tone & eyes. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Michelle Diekman: Looks So Pretty on you. I Hope your feeling Better. Blessings to you and your family. Hugs,

Rara Avis: I find it fascinating, that water will restore the curl to a synthetic wig. It's so interesting, to learn about this stuff.

Clara: Great tips Denise

cc: Denise, y is it u ALWAYS, look sooooo cute in any wig u wear!!!. I'm quite sure your personality and looks have a lot to do with it!!!!. Like the headbands!!!.
