Welcome to Fix it Friday, my new hair series where we address wig concerns, wig styling, wig tips, and wig questions. The SLOAN wig is a newer style from Paula Young Wigs and she is a heat safe VersaFiber wig. I haven't been wearing Sloan as she doesn't have quite enough volume for my comfort zone. So today on my first Fix it Friday, we're going to attempt to curl this heat safe wig! The color is SF 12/28#6 Honey Rooted. Hi everyone welcome back to best best hair, i'm so happy that you could join me here tonight and i just wanted to let you guys know that i am starting a new hair series and it is called fix it fridays. So that's what we're gon na do. We'Re gon na take wigs that maybe we're having problems with or maybe we need, a bang trimmed or maybe it's how to install a lace front properly, but we're gon na fix it and we're gon na do that on fridays. So today, i'm gon na fix, sloane and i'll put the link up here to my sloan review. She is a versa. Fiber heat friendly wig from paula young. She is just straight and not much at all for permatease and it's just a little too much. Straightness too close to my head for my liking, so because she is a versa fiber. I am going to attempt to curl her, so i thought that would be fun to start off our fix it fridays by fixing up sloane. She is a beautiful style, lovely, hair, fibers, but she's not getting enough love for me because i'm not wearing her, because i don't feel comfortable because i'm sorry i'm looking over here in my mirror, because it's just too it's just too flat for me a lot of You may think, may love this, so you know with your versa. Fibers it's rooted. This is honey, rooted 12. 28 number six. So i have this little one and i got it from walmart. I believe i have the link in the description box below for you, and so it has attachments. So you can take these attachments off um i've used just this one. When i want to just sort of direct the hair up and over so um, it has a couple brush attachments, but it has this curling wand attachment. So i thought that we would go ahead and try that so, basically, all we're gon na do is do this and we'll see how that works. It might not even work right. Okay, so if this doesn't work, then it won't be a maybe i should say fix or flop, then it won't, then it'll be a flap. Basically, what i want to do is just take a section of hair um. Not i don't think i want it to be too much, so we spritz with water and let's give it a shot all right. So, let's just let this cool and then we'll see what we have. So i'm gon na hold it here, while it's cooling all right. So this one has been cooling for a bit and it feels like it's pretty cool, so i'm like afraid to take it out. Let'S see, oh okay, so that might give us a nice little wave there i feel like. Maybe i could have even left it a little bit longer, but i think maybe just that nice soft wave might give this style a little more volume. You can already see that there is just a little bit more volume there. So i think what i'm gon na do is i'm gon na go ahead and take this off and i'm gon na put it on my little cork head and i'm gon na work on doing the curls on my cork head. I think that will be a little bit easier, but i'll try to film that i'll see. If i can film that and then we'll put it back on when i'm done all right, i'm back with slowing all curled up. What do you guys think? I did end up using the flat iron instead, because the wand - i was not getting quite the beachy curl that i wanted, so i ended up using the flat iron. I apologize that my camera has not been working correctly, so i wasn't able to film all of the curling, but basically you guys get the idea. I just went sort of strand by strand and did the curl, and i really really like the way this turned out. So, let's just spin around so that we can see how it looks. Oh my gosh, you guys, so you guys. Let me know in the comments below how you like how sloane turned out. I am really happy. This is more of my comfort zone and i definitely will be wearing her to work now. Um. Very i'm very happy with this. I just think it's kind of cute and deconstructed curls and i love it. It'S cute all right, so i hope that you guys enjoyed my fix it friday, and this was my first fix it friday. Jackie Romero: Looks great, yes ladies the trick to paula young versa fibers is to curl and HOLD THE CURL for several minutes for it to cool. I usually pin them in place till set. You will never get a tight curl like real hair, but more like a wave. Thanks for reviewing, Love the waves on you❤

Linda G: Next time, spritz the strand (all the way to the end) before curling, then use a clip to hold the curl in place until it cools off. This creates steam, which give more 'safe' heat to set the curls. Love your videos!
Jill Creagh: Hi Beth, I’d forgotten about Sloan, it’s great to revisit wigs to remind us about them. I think I prefer you with curly hair, on me that wig would look quite different. I like that you are new to this too and showed us something that didn’t go as expected, and then what you did to change it. Sharon Gygi: You are lucky if you get your orders from Paula Young. I have had trouble getting my orders. One of them from February 11 never came. Getting a hold of them was very difficult as they were not answering their phones. To day they answered and then put me on hold long enough to disconnect me. I called back and they took the information and then instead of recording, they sent me to someone else. I have been waiting for 45 minutes for them to get back with me. My conclusion is that they have no intentions of resending my order or giving me a refund. Yep, they just hung up on me again!

Terry Stockwell: With the rooted colors, I believe you once said they were darker than the non rooted colors (example honey, versus sun kissed etc). I ask because this wig looked a little darker than your usual Honey. Is this rooted? There is not a color or wig style that you do not look great. Thank you for the information.
