Honest review of the new Monday Haircare Volume Shampoo (and conditioner) That just launched in stores and online in the U.S at Target and Ulta for about $8 each!!

#mondayhaircare #mondayhaircarereview

Hey guys, so this is my first video ever i actually just got the new iphone, so i've been excited to see like how the video quality on it is but um these came in yesterday and i actually washed my hair with it for the first time last Night, it's the monday hair care, it's the shampoo and the conditioner um from their volume line um. They have four different ranges. I believe so one of them is smooth. One of them is gentle, this volume one and then um the other one's moisture. I believe so like if you really dry hair, that one's probably good um. So i got the volume one because i i mean my hair, for the most part, is pretty healthy, except for the ends are kind of dry but um from like bleaching years ago. Um. The packaging says it's paraben, free, sls, free cruelty, free and this bottle is like made of 100 recycled plastic. So i think that's really cool um. I personally have not had good experiences with like sls free shampoos. My hair gets really greasy really fast. So, okay, to be honest, i wash it once a week, but so i guess it's like not that greasy but um i'm like really oily prone. So if i don't use a shampoo that lathers really well, i feel like there's a lot of buildup like at my roots, especially so i don't know i just i haven't had good experiences with sls free shampoos, but um. I will say that this lathers really well. I'M not sure like there's, probably like another um lathering agent in it, i'm not sure what it is, but um there's actually a lot of ingredients in it, and i saw an article online about how hairdressers were kind of against it because of the ingredients. I'M not really sure like what ingredient it is, but um yeah, there's like an article about it online um. So it's a really light smell. I want to say it kind of smells like jasmine or i don't know it's like jasmine. It'S very light. It'S very like feminine and like clean, smelling, um, it's not strong at all like um in the shower. I could smell it, but right now, like i there's not like a single like, i can't smell it at all. So, last night after i washed it, i just let it air dry, like i normally do um it actually didn't tangle up my hair, like that's one thing that i look for in a shampoo and a conditioner like if my hair um like is really hard to Comb out after then like that to me, is like a bad shampoo um because, like i said, my ends are really dry but yeah. I didn't have that problem with this. The only thing i will say that i'm really surprised by and i'm kind of disappointed, because i really was excited to try this and i wanted to give it a good review. But last night, like after my hair, dried like while it was wet, it was still fine. But for some reason, when it air dried. I started feeling like an itchy kind of like burning sensation on some parts of my scalp and like my neck kind of got. Itchy too - and i was thinking like - maybe i'm just going crazy, like whatever so i sat for like 30 more minutes and it started getting itchier and i was like it has to be this because i haven't used anything else like i don't really put any other Products in my hair after i wash it so so yeah i knew it had to be from this um, which sucks, because i mean like my hair's super shiny today and like, but i don't know i i can't i'm not gon na use it again, just because Um i looked up. Reviews online and a bunch of other girls said that they were having the same kind of problem on their scalp as well. So i guess, like i don't know, there's something like really there's like an irritant in here and i don't know what it is and it sucks because it's supposed to be like a clean, shampoo um with, like you know, good ingredients but yeah super disappointed because i Mean the packaging is adorable um. I really really wanted to like this. Like i even like right, when i ordered it, i texted a couple of my girlfriends and i was like look at the packaging on this. Like it's so cute. It reminds me of um kylie jenner's skincare line like it has that like plastic um, like millennial, pink packaging, um, so yeah, it's unfortunate that my skin does not like it but um yeah. If anybody has any hair care suggestions, anything new or old, i guess um shampoos and conditioners that they think would be good for volumizing and helping dry ends. Let me know:

Life as Ariel: Found this today at target, won’t lie I grabbed it because I thought the packaging was cute and pretty and pastel but nice to know it’s new. Hoping it does the trick! It’s so affordable too

cece: Yes omg this is happening to me too. I didn’t know why my scalp was getting so dry and I just started using this shampoo. So I was looking to see if this has happened to anyone else using the same product

What's next?? ?: Sorry to hear you had issues but I know that can happen. I have been using the monday line for a bit and I love it. I have really dry thyroid hair and it really brought it back to life. One product I can't use is shea moisture. So allergic to that line i had to go on steroids for 5 days to bring the inflammation in my scalp and face down.

Anya Gallagher: I think it really depends which shampoo and conditioner you choose since they have such a wide range of different types of shampoo and conditioner for different hair types, they overall company and brand may not work for you but it might be the type of shampoo and conditioner you choose, personally I use the 'smooth' for my hair being very dry, but it mostly depends that you choose the right one for your hair type

Angella Valence: Glad I seen you review on this product I was thinking about purchasing it. Super cute packaging.. I’d empty the contents and put a different shampoo and conditioner in the bottles. ‍♀️

BayWeek: I’m super late but I always use shea moisturizer strengthen & restore shampoo and conditioner at target and it’s so amazing. I have blonde hair and it makes my hair more bright and healthy, especially soft. I have straight hair, but it’s also great for people with curly hair.

Dimi Kay: This would have to be the WORST shampoo and conditioner I've ever used. Developed scabs on my scalp that took many months to get rid of. My local grocery store had this on clearance for $5, and they still can't sell this crap.

sedonas aesthetic 🧴: this happened to me but it was on my chest little bumps came, i needed to let it dry a little then it went away

Ashley Thomson: Hi I just tried Monday and I am having the same reaction. Is there anything you did to help with it?!

Yasmin Maldonado: I think is varies from person to person but for me I haven’t had any issues.

Klariza Aislin: My scalp is already dry so i guess i wont try it but it is cute appreciate ur review

sarah iqbal: o m g i’ve been so itchy too and it’s never happened before and i was so paranoid. i even made my aunt check for lice . but my whole head has been itching and burning and now my neck and ears are so itchy. i thought i was just being crazy.

EminaSujan Selvarajah: OMG i just bought some this morning and reading the comments I'm so scared to use it. I'm returning this shite.

Westin Britt: I recommend you look into no sulfates fast hair growth shampoo.

moody olive: I hate Monday it doesn’t work with my hair it makes it dry but also makes it look greasy as hell and it makes my hair super tangly and it might be just me but my hair works better with other shampoos and conditioners

I breathe shoes: Okay so good shamps and conditioners are carol's daughter or moroccan oil shampoo good conditioners are moroccan oil hair masks and bumble and bumble conditioner hope this helps if you want to now good hair oils and spray in conditioners just tell me!

Elizabeth Naranjo: Tbh the sent the shampoo has gives me a headache

R: Did this damage your hair

Rebecca Fish: It’s not SLS free....
