Hey guys so recently the ordinary came out with some hair care products. Well, they already had one the scalp peptide serum for hair density. They also came with a shampoo and conditioner, and yet another scalp product and pick these up have had a chance to try them for a little over a week or so now. So i thought i'd give you my first impression. So what i'm going to say about what i do like about these, i really like the square shape because it saves room packing and shipping, especially when they ship these to store centers and things like that. Another brand groom beauty uses square shapes for their products because of the same reason, so it just makes shipping them easier and round containers take up so much more space, so the square shape. I love i'm a fan of um, so let me mention that the natural moisturizing factors scalp serum i like, however, if you're not going to use this as a rinse off product like the next morning or use it in your you just put it in your hair Before you go to bed and then wake up and shower it off, because i shower at night, so i put this in at night after i shower, and i woke up the next morning my scalp or my not my scalp. My hairline was a little bit crusty. Wherever i put this, so it doesn't necessarily work great for that uh, but i still love this stuff. This is my just opened up a new bottle. Yesterday, uh the multi-peptide serum for hair density. I love it so for hydrating the scalp this one. In my i probably finished using it more as a mask i'll put it on uh hours. So before i take a shower and then i'll rinse it out, i won't use it as a leave-in sleep and use the next day type serum. Just because of i don't like my hair to look crusty so uh, it did hydrate my scalp a little bit though uh, but still love this stuff. So i'll continue this at this point, probably wouldn't repurchase it. Unless i change my shower routine up, sharon at night always is a little odd. I just uh because a lot of products are made to be used and then rinse stuff the next day and things like that, but whatever anyway, i've always been like that, like sharon at night night, like like feeling clean when i go to bed so um, okay. So the i'll start, the sh cleanser, the hair shampoo. It is very runny um. It doesn't lather a ton, it's very light lather, but it does rinse off nice and leaves your hair feeling clean. You will certainly need a conditioner after this because it is a little bit stripping, but for people with very oily uh hair scalps things like that. It sounds like it works pretty well for them, but the biggest complaint was the lack of a lather which sls should give you a little bit of violet, but this one it was more runny and not quite as much louder. The only thing i did notice, i didn't notice really any dryness with my hair scalp, but my neck got a little bit dry. I have a couple dry patches after starting this, i'm not exactly certain if it's this or if it's the weather or my neck is always kind of irritated. So i can't specifically say this caused it, because i don't know, but that it was one of the things i noticed, but otherwise it seems to work well and the reviews for this are around three and a half stars. Although the conditioner fared much better in terms of reviews from what i've seen the conditioner has four or five stars, so a lot of people like this, some people said it didn't do enough. It wasn't conditioning enough and uh for me, i didn't have any problems. My hair is pretty dry because i treat it and i curl it every day and i get it bleached uh every other month, so this was hydrating enough for me to use. I liked it. My hair feels like it has a nice slip afterwards. Um the ingredient list is not very long: water ceteral alcohol, then we've got the chloride ingredient, which is very uh, highlighted. We'Ve got guar gum, phytic, acid, phenox, ethanol and chlorophylls, and then so, like seven eight ingredients, so i have any issues with it. To be honest, i really was more interested in using this to cleanse my hair and then getting on the shower and putting my k18 uh hair mask in that. To be honest, that's what i was really geared up about, because kate even mentions use a really good uh cleansing shampoo, clarifying shampoo before i use this, and this can work better. So, to be honest, i really bought this to pair up with this and it seems to be working out. Well um. I love this mask. It'S really expensive. You literally need a pea size amount and i have a lot of hair. My hair is not short and a pea-sized amount covers it all. It does a good job, so i want to mention this in this video, because that is the main reason i was excited about this, but um. Otherwise, none of these have fragrance in it, which is great for a lot of people with sensitive skin or sensitive noses. Overall yeah. Overall, it was okay. Um probably would repurchase it. To be honest, i probably wouldn't repurchase the conditioner just because i really bought this to use with the mask i'll. I would repurchase the shampoo at this point. I'M definitely going to keep an eye on my little dry patches on my neck um, and then this. If you are somebody that puts it in your hair before you go to bed showers in the morning, i think you'll work well, if you're like me and you shower at night, i'm probably better off sticking with this, because this doesn't leave your scalp feeling oily or Anything in the morning or crusty or anything like that, and it does help with dry flakes and things like that. So um anyway got a winner in uh, one average product and one that i wasn't super thrilled with. So i guess out of three new products, one being a winner, that's pretty good! So anyway, interesting from you guys if you've tried any of these out and what your thoughts are or if you have a favorite clarifying shampoo. What is it? What do you love about? It so love hearing from you guys and stay tuned for more tomorrow. Thank you. So much bye, guys

mostcreative: I think this new line is “OK”. I had no problems with the shampoo. Super mild lather and non stripping on my hair. The conditioner has really good slip but unless you have thin or straight hair it probably isnt enough. I have thick wavy hair and it left my hair feeling conditioned for half the day and then my hair started feeling quite dry. I think its just because of the lack of emollient plant oils. I find this comparable to the free and clear hair products that vanicream makes.

Dana Connor: I just started using this trio, and its so wonderful for my thick, wavy hair. My hair is so soft, shiny and bouncy. I love a super clean scalp and this does it for me. I use the serum all over my strands, work from bottom up to scalp. I love the packaging, the simple ingredients that don't coat...PH is wonderful too!

Marianne: Just ordered all of them. I need to support this anti fear mongering effort! If I don't like them, I'll use the shampoo as a body wash, and the conditioner for shaving.

Pajama Mama: Great review! I have a super oily scalp and I use dry shampoo so that I don't have to wash every single day. I'm 45 so I have tried countless drugstore priced clarifying shampoos. My absolute favorite and the only one I continue to repurchase is the Giovanni golden wheat shampoo. I pray they never discontinue it I think I would be in a panic.

Stephanie: I look forward to the time when skin care manufacturers use square bottles. It just makes sense.

Cristina Herteu: I'm binging on your latest videos today, after missing some as I was on vacation. I love how you're always up to date and straight to the point in your reviews! Thank you for all your work ❤️

Gwendoline Hall: I'm super limited on shampoos I can use because I'm allergic to any kind of sulfate. So this is a big pass for me, but I really enjoy Giovanni's 50-50 hydrating & clarifying shampoo! It lathers up better than any other (truly) sulfate free shampoo and does an excellent job clarifying without over stripping. I will rotate through other shampoos but I always keep a bottle of Giovanni 50-50 around.

Tracy: I didn’t mind the peptide serum in my hair but I do have to wash every other day for the thick feeling it gives. I think I’ll try this shampoo combo in the summer. When is warm and humid. If someone wants a shampoo with a crazy amount lather at an affordable price use the Native hair products. Especially the one the smells like vanilla cupcakes. Also Curlsmith makes really good hair serums that stopped my shedding in its tracks. Can’t attest for extra moisture but not drying. I use regular hylauronic acid for moisture or oils to seal in the moisture. Oils from the Ayurvedic experience if anyone is interested. Highly recommend.

Snow Giraffe: I just ordered the shampoo and and the conditioner. Decided to skip the serum after watching your review. Thank you My favourite cleansing shampoo is Kevin Murphy Maxi Wash Detox Shampoo - it is absolutely amazing

Brandy Hodges: Thank you for reviewing! The biggest draw for me was that these are both fragrance free. I feel like that manufactures overall use too much fragrance!!

Loraine Mcgillivray: Hi Sarah I like the hair density serum for moisturising my very dry/eczema prone scalp without grease, but the conditioner won't be enough for my dry/course/curly hair and I don't need anything that becomes crusty on the scalp lol. I shampoo once a week and sometimes co wash once mid week (more so in warmer weather). I literally produce no oil/sebum on my skin, scalp or hair so I don't need to wash it frequently tbh. Too much shampooing makes my scalp itch and dries me out even more. For clarifying I use the boots expert sensitive shampoo - fragrance free and without the moisturising feel of my curly hair products. I shampoo with it twice and deep condition as a clarifying treatment. I've also used the faith in nature fragrance free shampoo in this way, but it's more drying on my hair texture. Prior to a clarifying treatment I use a pre poo oil, or the phillip kingsley elasticizer for an hour or two. This line isn't targeted at my hair/scalp needs tbh and until they bring out a more moisturising range it's not really on my radar. My normal shampoo is from the jessiecurl no added fragrance line. I clarify every month, although I'm careful to only use water soluble silicones (mostly). I do use a lot of creams, oils and gels though so that needs removed regularly. Sulphates really dry out my scalp and switching to sulphate free made a huge difference to my scalp's health. Not all clarifying shampoos are sulphate based and those without tend to work better for me. Best wishes.

LauraLVT GW1020: My hairdresser offered to get the K18 for me at her cost! When I need to repurchase, I will take her up on that offer. It can't hurt to ask your hairdresser.... And maybe save some money. I am looking for a clarifying shampoo, I trust your recommendations, so The Ordinary shampoo is going in my cart!!

Kristina Mayhew: I used the shampoo/body cleanser, the conditioner n the hair density scalp serum. Favorite was the conditioner (I left it in for 15min) n hair came out soft and it made hair easy to comb ( I have 3c/4a type hair); my other favorite was the hair density serum for the scalp .

Olina Young: Thanks Sarah . You’re super pretty today. I Haven’t tried the shampoo or conditioner, not feeling it really. Now the peptide serum, think I’ll snatch that one up next time at Sephora.

H Augustyn: My hair is short and "mature " and thus shampoo and conditioner made them alive again !! I ordered back up ... The scalp treatment I use as a mask... fantastic !! And the average rating of these products is 4.8 not 3.5....

Deb Palm: Hi Sarah. Does the k-18 work miracles for that price? I have super dry, coarse, thick hair. Afraid of being disappointed. Have you reviewed it? If so, I missed it. Thanks.

Lindsay Smith: Well, that was disappointing, but your review is great. Your hair looks good and healthy in any case!

Asha: Redkin hair cleansing cream is my fave clarifying shampoo. It makes my hair super shiny and doesn't strip it too bad.

Steph M: I really want to try the NMF (I like to wash my hair in the morning). But I'm really not interested in these shampoo and conditioner, which have dull ingredient lists and no innovation. The militant-style claims of this line are irrelevant.

Tiahna Rodriguez: I’m not a fan of sulphate cleansers because they’re either too drying and leave my hair a tangly mess, or don’t cleanse my hair well enough and leave residue. I personally love the Kinky Curly Come Clean Shampoo, and don’t think TO could replace it, so I’m passing, but I think for certain hair types TO appears to have a decent haircare line.

Shaunte Lowe: Hey Sarah thank you for all your reviews but can you review some aloe Vera gel. There are so many on the market.

Fifi Lebelle: How about their new CICA line, what are your thoughts on the ingredients?

Jessika Graley: Off topic but what sunscreen for super oily skin ?

Debbie R: I just adore the unbiased opinion of thisI don't think I'll be enjoying ANY of the new hair and body products. I can scarcely keep up financially with the thing I buy for my face. I'm darn sure I'm not paying for special hair and body things considering my age (mid 50's) and the fact I'm on a limited income

michelle faurillo: I hope you can do updated Skincare Ingredient Spotlight videos..

Stephen Bailey: I find the naming of these products incredibly odd. Sulphate 4%....? Since when does a shampoo boast its sulphate content? Not that sulphate are bad. It’s just an odd ingredient callout. Behentromonium chloride?? I don’t get it.

aarontheabc: ❤

Matt: I do not enjoy the shampoo, it takes a LOT for some lather. kinda annoying

Mimi Moon:

swineinny1: Eek, crusty is NOT a word I wanna hear in reference to any hair product! A clown, maybe — hair products, no. . Er, disregard if never watched The Simpsons.

Whitney Brown: ….

Meg Cormack:

Heather sargent: Did u see they said olapex was dangerous and a dermatologist came on and did a report and some places it's banned . I new it was dangerous I have heard more olaplex horror stories sense mine hair skin and scalp.

Angeline Biswas: This is interesting. Interesting name

Debbie R: Yay! 1st

LDS Wife: the girl at sephora said sulphates can cause you to go bald… not sure if i’m willing to risk trying these products.
