Ah, purple shampoo, hey leaving it for a whole night, pretty dangerous can be really blue purple patchy. It'S not made for that. Purple shampoo is to maintain a gray color or maintain a platinum blonde to not turn yellow or orange again, but it's not a toning product. So use gloves there are direct pigments look at their hands, really curious for the end results. Let me show you, let's see, oh, no! No! No! Look at the regrowth! Oh! This is bad. You are lucky you have so much curls. You don't see the regrowth. It'S patchy.

Chae La: As someone with curly hair, it was kinda upsetting to me that she left SHAMPOO in her hair overnight lmao Edit: not only do they have a conditioner, which wouldn’t be ideal to keep in overnight, but is WAY better than shampoo, apparently there is a hair mask?!?!

XY YX: It’s harder for curly hair to hold in moisture, so I can only imagine how dry her hair felt leaving shampoo in it all night. Sometimes I’ll leave a deep conditioner in overnight, but it’ll be to hydrate to my hair during the winter and summer since those tend to be the driest seasons for my hair, it’s perfect for a wash and go. But Ms.Shampoo on the other hand…. If I left shampoo in my head overnight it would be so tangled, undefined, and frizzy in the morning, that’s literally EVERY girl with curly hair nightmare, especially if you have low porosity hair. And it will take forever to get back on track after it gets dried out.

alysia henderson: Shampoo is harsh enough on curly hair. To leave it on overnight is suicidal to hair.

Gothly Moor: Isn’t that very damaging to your hair? I have curly hair and I know we need to be very careful with shampoo. And she put it on the lengths which I thought you’re not supposed to do? I’ve never dyed my hair so I don’t know anything about purple shampoo.

nata!3: it looks worse why would she even do that her first color was perfect

L: as someone with porous hair, leaving purple shampoo in for a couple extra MINUTES, or putting it on my ends accidentally can cause it to go purple/blue and patchy. there's just no need for this, time does NOT equal results ESPECIALLY with hair + damaging products.

Miss Meredith: I died at "It's patchy" cause girl, it is

Tia Melancholy Jeoncockity: And she’s smiling through everything like it’s a good thing to do to your hair

Tia Chia: Her hair was so cool already!

linq ɞ☻ : as a wavy/curly haired person, i cringed for the entire video. her hair was so pretty originally!!

Evie M: I recently decided to stop coloring my hair, as I am FINALLY starting to go grey. I've been waiting for this for what seems like forever: my family goes grey quite early on the side I take after most strongly. My Aunt Cathy has the most gorgeous WHITE hair down to the small of her back. My Father's is a salt & pepper mix that flows down his shoulders. They both began to go grey in their late 20s, and were entirely white/grey by 40. I'm closing in on 39 with only a couple of individual grey hairs, but I'm psyched enough to let it grow naturally and...wait. It seems the trick to it is to have kids, and I didn't just skip that step, but jumped it like a bear trap. Ah well, all the color is gone and it's growing, it'll happen. In the meantime, I have several bottles of purple shampoo and conditioner, some expensive and some amazing old standards, like Shimmer Lights. So now I'm using at least a couple of hundred dollars worth of purple shampoos, hair masks and conditioners on my dark honey-blonde hair and wishing either that I knew someone platinum to whom I could gift it or that my damn hair would magically become the otherworldly fairytale white of my Aunt Cathy. I'm not home schooling three (brilliant) kids to get it though.

heather miller: I had bleached my hair for over a year and when I finally had enough and knew i was gonna cut off the bleached hair I decided to try this, but I only left it on for an hour and the damage was TREMENDOUS ! The bleach hair before was obviously damaged but still soft and intact, but after leaving the purple shampoo in for an hour it basically turned into bubble gum. I could literally stretch it like silly putty, then it just started breaking off. I knew there was no going back so I did it a few more times whenever I got bored lol the staining was kind of pretty and I also tried it with blue shampoo too which actually came out a pretty intense shade of green

Ara Helena Sophie Zimling Westh: When I went blond my hairdresser gave me a purple hair mask, said to leave it overnight, worked fine. Can’t speak for purple shampoo, but both the conditioner I left in as well as the purple mask I used, didn’t colour my hair but toned down the yellow/orange. I think it very much depends on your hair type. I have Asian hair, worked great, I had good and healthy despite having it bleached

sky: I did this in high school after trying to bleach my hair the day before the first day of school thinking it was the least damaging way to tone my hair and ya my hair was purple/patchy and dry as fuck afterwards definitely would’ve been less damaging and better results to do just about anything else

nothing: my mom next to me: “what does he know ab hair? he has none.” WHEN I TELL U I ROTF LAUGHINGGGGG

bumblebee560: One of the funnest parts of going grey is that my silvers take dye so beautifully where my dark brown never does, so I wind up with these amazing highlights that I get compliments on and literally it's just what my hair does at this stage of my life.

Maria Tsakonas: It dries your hair out so much!!!! Don't do it!! There are equally effective purple Conditioners you can leave in your hair overnight if your not gonna use toner.

Hypnos: The fact that he knows too much about something he doesn't have

Glass of Milk: As someone with curly wavy hair, I get scared leaving shampoo in for even 5 minute's since it gets dry so fast, I'd be bald if I left it in overnight

Ev: As someone with wavy hair and as someone who bleached their hair for 4 years, this physically hurt me

**: Tip: instead of color shampoo use one of those temporary color tubes. Shampoo and rinse. Then put the color in your wet hair -just a little- put conditioner on top of the color and rinse after just a couple minutes. I used green temp color to balance out the red brassiness and it worked wonders. Just don’t over due it or your hair will be too ashy with a green undertone.

jackie t: Listen, I use & really love my purple shampoo too but I'm just always surprised how people always believe that purple shampoo is the answer to everything.Like it's this magical thing that will fix everything,no matter what it is

isaiah bennett: As a curly headed king, and for all my curly headed royalty out there. We all know how dry our hair can be; Who tf possessed this woman to leave SHAMPOO in her hair overnight? That shit will turn into peanut brittle.

Zen: If you have platinum hair and actually want this result (light lilac), just mix a couple of drops of vegetable based hair dye with lots of white conditioner. You can leave this in overnight. That way it doesn’t strip away moisture from your hair cuticle. Shampoo is so drying it needs to be thoroughly washed out.

lvlyjnk: purple shampoo already dries out your hair (in my personal experience) and i don’t get why so many people think it’s a toner?? it literally says it’s just to get rid of brassy tones and to use it like twice a week at most

Longest Funeral Ever: As someone who worked really hard to grow my natural hair it’s painful to watch this

Zoe C:: her hair color and hair in general was decently fine in the first place, but she did this dumb and very harmful thing just for clout.

Scrap: What makes me upset is the fact that she uploaded this as if it was a fun hack, and now people are gonna see this and try it out themselves-

bre_stl: Genuine question from someone with dark hair: Do light hair colors really stain this easily??? I've heard of chlorine turning blonde hair green, but do other things permanently stain lighter hair??

Steve the Pussy Cat: Dying my hair in high school taught me something, hair dressers will always be in business, because even with access to products, people still be ignoring labels and fucking themselves UP

Nizz LaLucy: She loved her results: ‍♀️ him: “it’s patchy”

Dream universe goddess: It actually looks cute after when dried. If I was her I'd do manic panic or adore on the yellow root part like a lavander lilac. Leave the silver ends. And definitely do make-up to match.

Lokileoi: As a ginger who dyes my hair purple, i can confirm its not a toner and its very strong so don’t use it as if it is a toner

TomatoBeanSoup: Isn’t shampoo like something you gotta be very careful with when you have curly hair? I only shampoo my hair like maybe every 3 or 4 days and only at the root idk

Damiana Smith: This lady is a visual demonstration of why I don't take advice from YouTubers I only go to them to see how things worked out for them to give a range of what to expect

L C: I have natural blonde hair and I didn't even know I don't have to use this stuff. This girl I worked with was like "omg! You don't use purple shampoo?!" So then I started using it thinking I was missing something. Then my haircutter told me I don't even need it bc I have virgin hair ‍♀️ I wondered why it wasn't doing much lol

Ashley M: Her hair looked dry and damaged afterwards. It was nice before.

Daily Fluff: I did not know curly hair becomes extremely dry easy. I have mildly waving hair, it's straight at the top and is super curly at the bottom/ends. Hearing multiple people talk about how shampooing is very damaging to your curly hair shocks me. I cannot go *one* *ONE* night, without washing my hair, it's greasier than greasy. I had no clue ppl with curly hair never had this problem!

Mon chien il assure grave: I have bleached hair, almost platinum blond and even like that, I am very careful with purple shampoo/mask because it can stay on the hair if we leave it too much time… read the instructions very carefully and rinse it very well

Mel Rye: Her hair was already so ashy and nice!

Magic Rose: I love patchy dye, when I dye my hair I take handfuls of different colors and just... Smush it in. Usually I go for shades of blue to pink, I love the end result and that's all that matters to me *I have straight hair and a lack of care for what people think about my color pallates*

Szandika: I’ve never trusted purple shampoo. Makes the hair dry, and I never noticed a difference

Yadashi E: As someone with afro hair I am shocked and disgusted

pancake ghosty: I've used purple shampoo as a toner before though and it worked great. I didn't leave it in overnight, just put it on dry hair for 20 mins and it worked well.

firegodessreiko: Oof, it's also VERY drying. I use it almost every time I shower to maintain my platinum/lavender hair....but I definitely need an olaplex treatment, hair oil and a very good conditioner to keep it from turning into a crackling pile of straw....

Brianna sullivan: I love when people in the profession react to these vids ❤️

total chaos: N o. As someone with incredibly thick hair. You're gonna dry and damage your hair so much doing that. Do it ONLY with a slick conditioner you use to soften and detangle your hair with. Even then, don't do that shit for more than an hour or so.

green: she has such beautiful hair, what a pity to damage it like that!

Maria Ferrari: When I’ve been in need of a platinum pick me up I’ve used purple food coloring and conditioner true story! Cheap Af too

Sylvia Brown: My hair is straight and I couldn't imagine leaving shampoo for a whole night in my hair. This is just bad for all hair types but especially curly!!

Jaime Hernando Lamas: This happened to me, i felt asleep in the shower with champoo on and when i wahsed it off i got purple-ish color and looked badass at that time i had perfect white hair so it absorbed all the pigments on it in like 4h. It came of by washing it a couple of time. Free purple hair for 2weeks. Dont do it at home

J: I overtime my hair with purple shampoo, it’s never patchy it’s just a cycle of cute colours…

Apple Crumpies22: Yeah...she thought that was a slay. It looked like platinum purple dye it didn't blend at all. Shes lucky all her hair didn't fall out.

Kim Wentz: That brand she used I hated I absolutely hated it. My hair got so dry but luckily I found a great purple shampoo and conditioner.

Itz__Snowy Wolf14: She left this on her curly hair overnight and shampoo is already hard enough on curly hair bc it strips all the oils and stuff wow just wow…

«ii_glowinqsunset»: Girllll as someone with curly hair, this is gonna make it drier than the debts of hell. Please don’t do this

Ouch! My back.: Shampoo in general isn’t something to leave on hair for extended time. It’s a cleanser. You’re supposed to use it to clean. Literally stripping dirt? Her hair must be dry…..

Bat Mama: I thought that was gonna be so much worse somehow she ends with nice silver hair. I would however like to see what it looks like straightened (if she never straightens her hair that won’t matter anyways)

J T: Lol I tried toning my hair with purple shampoo one time out of desperation...it never works to help keep the yellow away & it didn't change the color of my hair either. ‍♀️ Maybe I don't bleach light enough (what I hear in comments but it's hard when u can't leave a pic here), but my hair is so hard to tone sometimes. It never tones after i first bleach. I have to wait a few days, usually a week. And then it'll be good & catch. But it comes out pretty quickly. I only wash my hair 2-3xs a week and I'm lucky to make it 6wks. BUT! I DO tone with a color depositing conditioner mixed with developer. ‍♀️ I prefer it over actual toner. Go figure.

Peachesxo: She left this in overnight?! way to cause severe damage to your hair. Just bleaching it alone is bad enough

• JordisBored •: As someone with curly hair I've never been more scared

Kiwikick238: Curly hair hides so much patchiness. I let my hair dye grow out into an ombre and just let it go till just below and chopped all the colour off

Julie Kelsea: I’ve had more hair disasters than I care to admit to. It should be illegal to access hair/nail products without proper training. After becoming licensed I still had accidents from other’s with a license! So, my mom always saved me. She was awesome with that. Poor mama

mishmash65: I remember my mum wouldn’t let me dye my hair purple so I did this overnight ‍♀️‍♀️

goblinmommy: As a former hairdresser who has worked for multiple hair color companies, I would argue that purple shampoo IS a toning product, as it tones yellow from bleached hair. However, it isn't very strong, it is also very drying to leave it on overnight. Very, very drying. You'd be better off using an actual semi permanent haircolor with a violet undertone. You can get them at Sallys.

Anna Sanner: My mom used to use this at the nursery home with the elderly. Shes a hair dresser and I always remember the purple shampoo.

arely: She’s lucky it didnt turn it green I remember leaving it in my hair just a few minutes too long and had a greenish tint to it

Sarjana Ojha: Watching people ruin their hair is upsetting ‍♀️ Please at least be decent with your hair y'all!!!

Natalie_died: The fact that I just used that shampoo and conditioner in my hair is crazy I literally just got out the shower

♡I'm April♡: I absolutely freaking LOVEEEEEEEEEE HER CURLSSSS!!! OMGGGG I WISHHHH I could have curls that nice

S T: It doesn't look patchy. There's dimension to it. It's unnatural if it's just one color.

Bunga Rin: The amount of damages she has done to her hair

zoe osmon: Eva-nyc is a really good brand. It can prevent frizz, and also make your hair smooth! I really suggest the brand! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

ᐯIKᗩᑎᑌᑕK: I’ll never miss that teenage look of ‘Welp… I just f*ckin did this… and now I gotta live with it, so, I’m just gonna pretend to love it I guess ‍♂️’ lol

Serpil yaren Yıldız: I'm in love with confident sassy hairdressers. I loved the video she looked cute tho

Aurilia Beare: Your supposed to leave conditioner in if ur leaving something in overnight. My hair is the same as hers and her hair will break if she carries on like that. She should put her hair in braids to help it grow after doing this to it

Paola: I only leave toner on my roots since that's where I get the brassiness the most, then I leave it on for 20 min then wash it it out gradually and use a really moisturizing conditioner after since purple shampoo is very drying

svbu: The pH level of silver shampoo destroys your hair when overused too especially on someone who has sensitive hair like that thats been bleached and is curly/afro ......of you're thinking of doing it just don't

Jess Pop: The thing with purple shampoo if you have gotten your roots touched up sometimes the blondes are different levels that’s why he was calling it patchy cause her regrowth blonde is darker then her ends. The purple shampoo only really toned the ends of her hair because it was already a level 10

Just another human: Could have gotten the same results with like an hour or two and less crunchy dry hair afterwards. Or better yet.. just use purple direct dye and dilute with conditioner.

Weekend Nomad: Her hair looks good. I turned my hair lavender once . Everyone loved it lol

The Falcon Nation: Bruh I don't even let shampoo stay in my hair longer than 10 mins!!! Her scalp is defo screaming for help after keeping it overnight, just yikes.

Divinesage: I do this all the time. 17 year stylist. It over tones the hair and it’s perfect after 3 washes. Nobody died. Also curly haired

Molly: Girl stop playing go out some conditioner on your hair I know your hair thirsty.

R L: I mix toning shampoo in a spray bottle with something conditioning and water. I use it everyday. Works awesomely

Kat Darling: I love it. Just make sure you use a leave in conditioner and aloe vera mixed together.

kitkat twinkie: Her hair came out looking great though! I'm sure theres other methods to getting the same cool result

nina: Wouldn’t this also just completely dry your hair and strip it of any good and hydrating oils???

Karina Verheezen: Finaly! I can't convince my friend not to do this. I showed her this, now she believes!!!

Madeline Armitage: Bruh my hair stylist told me to use purple shampoo for my purple hair. The color was gone In a matter of like 2 weeks. Was pissed. I wasn’t educated on what purple shampoo was actually used for then.

Dr. Philth: My sister is a hairdresser and we always had purple shampoo so I used it on my brown hair it used to make my hair shine blonde even though it was brown, like two tone hair

dookie janet: She’s lucky she didn’t get scalp damage from this!!

Aleksandra Łopacka: I had silver, almost white hair. I was using blue shampoo every 7 days and it was never patchy cause I was using it as instruction says... That sucks what she did

kimberly joseph: It's patchy love how he explained

Lady Diaspora: I have similar hair. The thought of sleeping with shampoo in my hair makes me cringe

rumbixonline: He sounded disgusted when he said “use gloves”

KP: I would listen to this dude roast me all day long. He has the best accent I've ever heard

Lindsey: Idk why she didn’t just get a color depositing conditioner… yeah it’s still not a good as doing a real dye job but it’s better than leaving shampoo in your hair for that long!!!

Offbrand Poq Kid Kids: I have actually did this the night before watching theirs and my hair turned pale although I have brown hair

Yoonji-ssi: Bleaching curly hair is already a bad idea, so is leaving shampoo on hair. My hair is curlier than this. And when I did bleach it, the texture's like dry grass. Sooooo dry. Brushing it was not helping. Been slapping masks every week before coloring my hair to dark brown.
