We'Re not talking skincare products today, you guys instead we're talking about my favorite hair products, because you're always asking what I do to my hair. I realize we've been talking about skincare a lot here on mix makeup. It suddenly took hold and it was like the only thing we start talking about, but I actually like to talk about lots of beauty topics and one of those is hair, and a lot of you have been asking for me to give you a hair tutorial and Tell you about the products I've been using and that's exactly what I'm gon na do today. I'M gon na talk to you guys about the hair products that I've been using lately because it constantly changes, just like my skincare and my my other beauty products. But these are ones that I really love and actually some of them are holy grails. For me, let's start with shampoo and conditioner and the ones that I always go back to. These are holy trails. For me, this is the joy Cove, color balance, blue shampoo and conditioner. I have been using these for years. Guys might know that joy. Co is one of my production clients, so I know a lot about their products. The way that blue shampoo works. It'S very similar to that whole concept of purple shampoo, but purple shampoo tends to be for people with blond. Hair blue shampoo is for people even like me if you color your hair, so if you're a brunette and you color your hair at any point, even if you don't, I actually think this might work well. For you, joy, Co actually says this is for people with lightened or highlighted hair, but I tend to find that even without my hair being highlighted that I will get brassiness just from coloring it in general, especially if I use anything, that's like an at-home hair coloring Product over time, the big problem with at home, hair coloring products, is that you get that brassiness in your hair and so the way that I keep the brassiness and that shine is by using a blue shampoo and I've always loved this one from Draco. It can be a little bit drying, so I tend to use a lot of deep conditioning hair masks. They have one. That'S called defy damage, that's the one. I'Ve been using a lot lately, but I kind of just jump around to the deep conditioning mask because I seem to find that they do very similar things, but really it comes down to the blue color in the shampoo. It really it deposits just that right amount of blue color into your hair when you wash your hair and it makes it look really shiny and nice and the brassiness is gone and that's how I keep those red and copper tones out of my hair at most. I use them like once a week, maybe even once every two weeks or so, and then I just use other shampoos. Another shampoo that I use is neither all this you guys is an anti dandruff shampoo. You might have heard me speak about this. I have scalp psoriasis, so it causes me to have very itchy flaky scalp and the way that I keep that at bay is with this and it's the only only shampoo that has ever ever worked for my scalp psoriasis. It'S actually almost amazing how well it works, because I had gone through years of trying to figure out what it was that I could do to my scalp to help the psoriasis and there was nothing working and then Carly on my team told us about this product. She she had heard about it from reddit and it was like super popular on reddit. Then she got it. She tried it. She wrote a blog post on it I'll leave a link below in the description box, so you can read her blog post. I hopped on board with it to try the Nizoral and it really is wonderful. I think I use this like once every 3 or 4 months, usually right before I'm gon na color, my hair. Apparently, you can use this on color treated hair, but you know it's one of those things where I think if this is more of like a medicine, it's like a medicated shampoo. So I use it right before I'm gon na go in and get my hair color. Then what I do is wash my hair with it once really get in there and like get my scalp like really rub at my scalp and rinse it off, and then I actually use it a second time and then I find I don't need to use it Again for months next, up on my favorite hair products, it is the Aquos hair towel. I have so many of these. Now I even bought the push one that Kourtney Kardashian showed us in her YouTube video on Harper's Bazaar. I love these things so much when I say I have a ton of these. I have like four or five. I just love them. You guys the way that they they go on your head, they're, like the perfect shape they wrap around the top of your head. You put your head right here, just like you would tell, and then you wrap it and you flip your hair back over and you just clip it right here on this little button and it stays in place is like a little turban basically, and it dries your Hair and it soaks up all of the water and as someone with thick hair, that is half the battle for me is I don't want my hair to be sopping wet when I start to blow-dry it because then it's going to take me like an hour to Blow-Dry it because I have so much hair. I know people with thinner, hair finer hair than me also love this, though, because it soaks up all that water and if you think about how water affects your hair, it's just like your skin. You don't want your skin to be completely soaking wet all the time you don't want to over wash your skin or anything like that. So it's the same with your hair. You don't want it to be sopping wet. You don't want to dry it while it's still wet because you're going to dry it out more and you don't want it to sit in water because it just breaks the fibers of your hair too. So something like this very, very simple microfiber towel. You don't have to buy the Aquos one. I just tend to like it a lot when you're using the regular, huge towel. It can tear your hair a little bit more because you're like twisting it and a towel. That'S not soft and gentle on your hair, and this is soft and gentle and soaking up the water next up Tanna. This is by Revlon and it's a fairly affordable hair tool. It is a hair, dryer and a brush and one and it's kind of like a round brush, but it's more like an oval brush kind of like that. Anna from my team was obsessed with this. I want to say that it's been out for a while. It caught our attention because of the Dyson, the air wrap where it's basically the same thing. It'S like a hair dryer but slash hair curler and does all that kind of stuff. And I just thought it's really overly priced and I can't imagine any of those kinds of tools working on my hair and staying with Donna and it was kind of a same thing. So she forked over for one of these. And then she happened to tell me that she loved it. She was like, I think it's actually really good. The Dyson is hundreds of dollars. I want to save $ 500. This is $ 60, so it's not cheap, but in comparison to the Dyson. This is very cheap. The Dyson does, I think, a lot more than this one does, but I will tell you: it works on my super thick hair and most gimmicky hair tools. Don'T work on my hair Anna happens to have really thick hair. She actually has super tight, curly hair, so when she tells me that a hair tool works on her, I know that it's gon na work on me because her hair is even thicker and she has tight curls, whereas I just have wavy hair. So I know that if it works on her, it's gon na work on me, so I went ahead and ordered one and when I first got it, I thought it sucked to be completely honest. I felt like I got it like heated up too much and got way too hot and I felt like it was a lot of work and then I finally figured out a technique with it. So this was one of those tools where, for someone like me with really thick hair, I needed to play with it a little bit and one of the tricks that I have for this is that when my hair is wet, I use another hair product that I Always stick with this one is by playa and again it's because I just really love the way ply has smells so I'm always using some kind of playa product. Just so you guys know this is their endless summer spray, it's full of those sea salt sprays. I wouldn't say I'm committed to this. This is not a Holy Grail product. I tend to use all sea salt sprays. I tend to find that a lot of them are very similar and they worked this one works really well. The last one I was using, but was by way, but what I do with these is when my hair is still wet. I will spray just a little bit in my hair because you don't want your hair to be too sticky and too stiff, but I'll spray. A little bit in my hair for some hold - and I tend to like using these more than like a blow-dry gel or like a blow dry cream, because I feel like it leaves a really thick layer on my hair. But I spray a little bit of this. In my hair, while it's wet and then I will take this and I'll just kind of like comb through my hair, while it's on, I have to use it on the very highest setting. So it gets a little bit hot and then I'll section, my hair out, not even into little sections, just like four different sections and I'll run this through my hair in each section, until it dries basically and what I love about it is. This actually gets my hair really really smooth. If I wanted to, I could leave my hair straight, because the way it smoothes my hair out and I find that it makes my blow-dry pretty fast. I do have a Dyson hair dryer and I do find that it's a really good hair dryer, but if I want to be really really fast and I'm being lazy, this is what I pull out. So you guys know that I'm always putting some wave in my hair. I think that really is a tutorial. I use a 1 inch barrel. Curling iron, sometimes a touch larger, I think, that's a whole other video, but once I'm done curling my hair. I always like to use this, and this is probably another one of my Holy Grail products. I have like three more bottles sitting underneath my sink, because I use this so so much you guys it's a texture spray, but it's a texturizing hairspray is what they call it, and I find this one to be better than all of the texturizing spray on the Market and I have tried a lot of them - you guys I've tried the best of the best. I got hooked on texturizing spray, it's because of or BAE. I still love that texturizing spray, mostly because of the scent I'm thinking about the hair. Since I really am into that fragrance, but I find that this one is superior to all the texturizing spray is out there and that's because it is a texturizing hair spray. It has a little bit of hold. So what I find with this is on, like second or third day of my blowout, if I put it into my hair and then like shush it a little bit, it just gives it that body and you life. It looks like I really just restyled my hair and it smells nice, so you know I said that when I'm curling my hair or blow-drying my hair, it always has like those ends that need to be a little smoothed out and stuff. So what I tend to find works really well, and what I've been using for a very very long time is hair oil. The one I'm using right now is by olaplex. You guys can see. This is a brand new bottle of it. I love this one. It feels nice and light, it doesn't feel like it's making your hair feel very heavy and weighed down, and that's what I look for in an oil there's something nice about this bottle. Also it doesn't all just like pour out. So what I do with it is I'll put a little bit in my hands. I rub it around just like my skin care sort of, and I just kind of press it into the tips of my hair, the ends of my hair and then I'll even take whatever is left on my fingers after I've done that throughout my entire head. It'S all kind of smooth any flyaways here too, especially if I use the texturizing spray. Sometimes it can make your hair look a little too wild. So that's what I find the oil does. It gives you a little bit of shine to it, gives that extra shine and everything, but what I really use it for is to just tame the ends of my hair. That'S usually what I use it for, and it gives it just a little bit more of a natural look. So those are the hair products that I use, some of them, my Holy Grail, some of them that I am constantly changing out, but they're the same types of products that I'm using on my hair on a very regular basis. So ask me any questions if you want in the comments below find me on Instagram, I'm at Susan Yara and tell me if you're gon na try any of these products or if you have tried any of these products and what you think of it them to Talk to you, since

K: "skincare, grooming and SOMETIMES HAIR" - James Yara

Natt_Catt12: So confession: I'm new to watching your channel, I honestly don't know where you've been hiding because I'm OBSESSED!! I also have super thick wavey hair so I was happy to see a video with products that I could possibly try. I do love the brand Ouai, I came across it at Sephora and fell in love, I've used their shampoo and conditioner (not my total fave) but do love their Texturizing Hair Spray. I'm really curious about the Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil. I do have a lot of fly-aways and always feel like my ends need a little pick me up! Anyways, thanks for sharing :)) Can't wait to see more of your content. YAYY!

Susan Yara: I debated posting my videos and regular content right now. We’re going through such a weird, scary, and surreal time, but I decided to keep going in case you want some normalcy in your life. I hope you enjoy this video! I recorded a bunch of stuff before we started to self-quarantine and I might go live a few times too. I love all of you and I hope you’re happy and safe. ❤️

not not nicole: nizoral is great! I've actually also used it as a spot treatment for my fungal acne flare-ups, but with caution since it can really dry me out

susanmcf1: As I aged and continued to have my hair colored and highlighted, it became more damaged. Two years ago I stopped coloring it. It took a while, but my hair has never been thicker or healthier. I find Kenra's thickening shampoo is amazing for my older, finer hair. Also, keeping it trimmed every 10 weeks has helped.

Rachel V.: My one gripe with the Revlon dryer is I’ve noticed it’s making my hair INSANELY staticky right now with the dry winter weather. May partially be my hair type (fine and straight) but it’s irritating fs.

Elizabeth Johnson: I didn't even know I needed this video!! I also have scalp psoriasis also. I will definitely be giving that shampoo a try!!

Adriana: Love this video! Unfortunately I have super thin/fine hair so most of the products will probably be too heavy. Would you be willing to do a video on good products for thin hair based on recommendations from people you know?

Anne van Wijk: Super refreshing to see a hair favorites video without the usual influencer products! Thanks!

Jesse Obed: Yep! I have scalp psoriasis too and Nizoral is the only shampoo that has helped me. Obsessed with it!

Julia Morales: I love your videos! YOU CAN ALSO MAKE BEACH WAVES with the Revlon tool! While you running it through your hair just twist and the heat will hold the curl. Let it set when use your fingers to comb out. LOVE! JM from NY — straight/ oily scalp. Normal thickness.

Izzie xo: omg I have scalp psoriasis too! and I have been in the same predicament as you, of trying different shampoos that don't work, that work but end up not working the next flare up! I am definitely going to find a Nizoral in my area, and definitely trying it! Thank you for the suggestion, Susan ♥️♥️

Fiorella Trapani: Great video thank you! A couple of comments, I recently learned that pulling your hair back often like when drying your hair in a turban style towel can cause traction alopecia. ‍♀️ Not sure if that’s 100% true but may want to look into it. Also, have you tried the Hot Tools Black Gold Charcoal Infused One Step Blowout Dryer Brush? I had the revlon then tried that one and liked it even better! Love watching you! ❤️

Nora Kurdy: I used to use the Joico Blue shampoo all the time for years too! I also like ColorWow blue toned mousse. I’ve switched over to Virtue Shampoo and Conditioner because it makes my hair super smooth for days.

Faruk Can Özsöyler: Mother Yara was looking extra beautiful today, I think the treatment in the last video was good for her!

Jessica Thompson: I also have scalp psoriasis and the only thing that has ever helped me was stinky black tar shampoo. I just added the Nizoral to my list to try. Thanks for the tip.

MrsPokits TheRiot: I've been on the fence with the Revlon One Step Volumizer for like 2-3yrs. I think I'm gonna pull three trigger. Ive got thick, curly hair that's also like halfway down my butt.... I'm also gonna order the medicated shampoo. I have scalp psoriasis pretty bad and dark hair which makes it obvious. I'll try anything.

Johnson Rojo: Omg Susan thank you much for this! I've been suffering from psoriasis on my scalp and I just don't know what treatment shampoo I should to combat it eventhough I use a very gentle shampoo such as Briogeo it still doesn't go away. I will definitely try Nizoral. Thank you Susan!

Eggiejoy118: Can’t say enough about the Revlon styling brush. It’s literally everything Susan said and more. I have medium-long, thick, slightly wavy, coarse hair. In order to get frizz-free hair, I used to have to blow dry and flat iron but the Revlon has changed that.

Ashley Schmidt: I love the Revlon dryer!! It’s soooo amazing

iam jart: I’ve never found anybody with the same scalp psoriasis situation as me so I will def give this Nizoral shampoo a try. Something I’ve used is the OUAI scalp and body scrub and it works but only for a day or two and then it comes back again. So Thank you much.

Alison Nevil: I bought the Revlon hair dryer in late September, when I had hand surgery and couldn't figure out how to dry my hair! It works great and is not too difficult to use with, basically, one hand. However, the heat setting was too hot for my hair. I wish they made it so that you could adjust the heat. I'm now back to a "regular" dryer and a round brush - using both hands. I loved the Revlon at first, but I think it might be too hot for use every time.

LiaPourpre: Hi Susan, Great video as always! I tend to have a dry scalp but in the front part of my head- sort of right over my forehead. Do you (or anyone else) know what could be the cause of this? (It only just started happening a few months ago. I haven't been using any new products)

zahra jivani: I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!!! I have been struggling with my scalp psoriasis for years now and would love it if you could make a video on how to manage it.

Anna Fryxell: The Revlon hair dryer is my favorite! I can BlowDry my super curly hair in like 20 minutes.

dms_25: I have spots of psoriasis on my scalp also... I’ve been using prescribed ointment for it and it helps. But I’d like to try out the shampoo you recommended. Thanks for sharing!

Allison Groening: I was surprised to see no dry shampoos or even a comment on it! I have oily hair that I feel the need to wash often, every other day or so. So in order to have second day hair I really need dry shampoo. But my scalp has been dry so my derm gave me ciciopirox shampoo to use as well as selsun blue, but I'm interested to try the shampoo use for an itchy scalp.

Diane Pelletier Viau: For me the best salt spray is the Kristin Ess ! So so good and not expensive !

Dolsie Mercado: Yes the Revlon hair volumizer and dryer sounds to be a great buy.

haaykaytee: Susan you should make a video on hair masks during this quarantine. Hairdressers would pay you I already saw people grabbing box dye.

Sherry Attkisson: I have the Revlon dryer. Love it. I have shorter hair that it works great for too.

Hunter Erickson: love this! thank you. we have the same hair type, so i cant wait to try out these products

Dana: Love incorporating other beauty content!

Splentabulistic: I bought that Revlon Hairbrush for my mom for her birthday last year, she loved it. Cuts her hair drying/brushing in half.

iam jart: I’ve never found anybody with the same scalp psoriasis situation as me so I will def give this Nizoral shampoo a try. Something I’ve used is the OUAI scalp and body scrub and it works but only for a day or two and then it comes back again. So Thank you much.

Jayl L: I literally ordered the revlon one step hair dryer like two days ago and you posted this wow

Natasha Jovanovic: You need to try the Briogeo scalp revival charcoal exfoliating shampoo! I get super dry itchy flakey scalp when it’s cold out and this shampoo works and makes hair super soft and clean! ❤️

Elizabeth G.: I would try the texturizing hair spray!

Crina Marina: loved this. please do more hair care videosss <3

SurfingPotato24: I am a Dyson fan so I use their blowdryer and wrap. Okaplex bonding oil, I have been using it for a couple of months now, it is OK but now mind blowing. Joico tests in animals so I would not buy from them, other than that, I love you Susan, you are a darling.

K whatever: My mum just bought the Revlon dryer so I need to show her this video. Also how often do you wash your hair because I wash mine every other day but my mum thinks it's too often (I have curly hair tho). Also I have scalp psoriasis too and it kinda sucks but I go to a dermatologist who helps at lot

Thays Pascoal: I absolutely love your hair and makeup Susan! U always looking flawlesssss

Julie Skjelbred: Hallo! I have the revlon hairdryer, and I love to use it! Back to skincare, Im new at your channel and I love you videos! Im a skin care addict as well. I’m am a Norwegian girl and live in noway, so some brand you talk about I never heard about. But I found it interesting still what’s you thought about Klairs? We have this brand i Norway and I recently started using this. Your opinion about foam cleanser’s scares me though I hope it’s not drying out my skin. Thanks for your videos! Sorry for my bad English hugs from Norway ❤️

kenta falls: I also have thick hair like Susan's. Having a thick hair is like a blessing and a curse at the same time. It can get so hard to manage but the payoff is worth it.

Princess Nk: I love it!! more advices about hair please

Safia Muftic: Yaaaaaasss!!!!.I have been waiting for this video :) I need this because I am trying to take my haircare routine up a notch and buy nice products for my hair.

Cassi T.: Have you already covered your process for at home coloring products? I would love to see what products you use!

Alexa Style Book: Love that Revlon one touch volumizer it's wonderful

Anita Naoko: Yay!! I always look at your hair in the videos and think its too bad that you're a skincare girl because I'll never know what you use in that gorgeous hair haha. I need to try that hairdryer!

jewelz v: Nizoral is amazing I can’t believe my dandruff went in one wash and one month since using it I’m still dandruff free cannot believe it! Thank you!

Katie Kim: Oh my god yes Nizoral is a godsend. Even some prescription shampoos don’t work for me, but Nizoral does the trick every time i need it

Laura Recine: The Revlon dryer has literally changed my life and has been a total hair game changer!! I love it soooooo much and I have been using it religiously since July of last year.

Shelley Kerr: Hi Susan, I must try the Ouai product. I really like Unwash shampoo. I use a regular shampoo then second wash with Unwash (from Amazon) which is great for smoothing therefore I need less conditioner.

Jo Midkiff: Any tips for growing thicker stronger hair? Particular foods, supplements, regimen?

Sarali K: I got my revlon for 40 on a deal. It's amazingggggg for thick hair.

Madison Burke: I’ve been looking into one of these hair dryers! But I heard a few people say it causes breakage. Has anyone experienced this? I really want to try this but I don’t want my long hair breaking!

Kristin Almajed: I had a really odd experience with Aquis X Poosh turban. It wouldn't stay in my head and it irritated my skin. I was left with a weird red line all across my forehead. Almost like it was too tight but it wasn't. I was really upset because I really wanted to love it.

Colyn Jessica: I literally have to buy everything you suggest! So I need to not watch videos too close together! #MyGuru

Kelly Moreno: I’ve been using the Revlon One Step for months and it is the best $40 I’ve ever spent.

jubby89: I love the Revlon brush!however it's so loud that I use earplugs

Kristina: I also have issues with a flaky scalp. Have you tried the Briogeo hair kit? I'm curious if you or anyone on your team has thoughts on it. Maybe a review?

Shea Wineland: I love the revlon brush dryer. Also can someone give me advise: my hair is heavily bleached platinum but it’s SO oily. Like I HAVE to wash it everyday if I want to look presentable because it will literally look damp when I wake up in the morning even if I’ve washed my hair the morning before. I try to do every other day bc I know it’s so bad but my hair looks horrible every other day lol

Addison Shand: You should look into some of the new green toned shampoos, they are designed to cancel out the under lying red/darker orange tones in darker hair where the blue shampoos are mainly meant for lighter brown to cancel out the underlying orange/copper.

Sha-Ron Gamito: Hey Susan can Anna maybe do a hair tutorial for us with the Revlon tool. I have been really interested in getting it but have had doubts on if it will work on my thick curly hair. It would be really awesome. Please Anna?

dek2711: I have scalp psoriasis too..T-Gel from Neutrogena is amazing...

Christine Wu: My stylist recommended Joico K protein. Would you recommend it as well?

apikaldominanz: You are so beautiful, amazing . I just found your channel l today and am already loving your videos. Very informative!

Sabrina Corona: Can you please do a all make up skincare for Vegans !! We love to learn more !!

Priya Bakshi: Would you recommend putting leave-in conditioners and other products that are meant to go on wet hair before or after using the hair towels you showed?

Marianellyy Diaz: Have been wanting to use the revlon dryer !!! Have to try it on my curly hair ! Curly girl ? follow me for tips

Mom Share: You look so fresh and beauty lady, thanks for sharing a good hair care products.

Maria Free Voice: Nizoral is the ONLY shampoo that keeps my psoriasis at bay as well. Then I recently ran into Nizoral specifically for PSORIASIS. I bought it immediately and it's wonderful! First time seeing it, must be new.

Leo1: What color and brand did you use for your hair color!! Perfect color

Norah Myers: Hi Susan - can you do a video about how to cut back on sugar for the health of your immune system and hair and skin?

Faraz Rahman: Try Amity by Shear Revival for a GREAT sea salt spray with hold, texture, and heat protection.

Abbie Witt: The only one that worked for my scalp psoriasis as well!

Tomas Abecasis Gomes: Hello Susan! Could you do a review of Prose's hair care products? I am curious to see what you think of personalized products

Monica Garcia: Such a good video!! I want your bathrobe it has a hood!! Where can I find a similar one? I’ve had my eye on that hair dryer but the word volumizing frightened me as I already have a lot of hair!!

Hope Stodghill: all I freaking want is a full brand review for versed skincare please please please

moumita karmakar: Hi Susan: I liked the videos. can you please do make up room tour or your product collection tour

shyrose razwani: Joico Color balance shampoo has Sodium Laureth Sulfate in the ingredient that can strip away natural oil.

Trista Green: What does texturizing spray feel like in your hair? Is it sticky and stiff? Or is it still light and fluffy?

Noemi Rivera: Please do a video on how you style your hair, exactly how you have it styled in this video.

Jessica Jones: What is a good shampoo for thick wavy non colored hair?

Oishee SJT: hey susan, PLEASE make a video on oiling hair & and also shampooing it, i heard we shouldn't shampoo the bottom of our hair but when i oil my hair, it's a must for me to shampoo the bottom of my hair (i think so), so PLEASE make a detailed video on oiling & shampooing it

I.M. Hidden: Hey Susan! Can you do a video on hair care for fine / thin hair too please?! Thank you!!! I'm loving binge-watching your channel and your FB group during quarantine! lol

Fiona: What else do you use for scalp psoriasis? Any prescriptions (dovobet)?

Julia DiGuido: You need to use a heat protectant so you don't damage your hair!

Canny Matthews: I LOVE the revlon one step volumizer hair dryer thing so much. One of the best hair tools I’ve bought in years.

Y.M Y.M: Hey susan , can you please review this dutch cosmetic line called Klapp? Klapp is a big hit in Germany but I wanna know wether it is worth the money or not? Especially the „Klapp X-Treme“ line❤️

M.: You're so gorgeous, Susan.

Mariah Fedosov: I need to try Nizoral!
