Hey guys welcome back to my channel for today's video. We are going to be doing a much requested. Haircare update. I posted a haul a few months ago, now of a bunch of new launched haircare products that I was going to be trying out. For the first time, testing them out, letting you guys know my thoughts and I've had a lot of comments on that video asking for an update, and I apologize that this took a little bit longer than a lot of you would have liked. But for me it's super important that I test out products for a long enough amount of time to truly truly know what their results are and if I like them or not, as somebody that's recommending products to you, I take a lot of responsibility in that and I take it really seriously and I never want to recommend something after I use it once or twice, because I may end up not liking it down the road and then I would feel completely guilty for giving you a recommendation that I don't actually stand by. So if I'm recommending something to guys it's because I have tested it out I've, given it a fair amount of time - and I absolutely love it and want you guys to use it because you'll love it as well, so just to clear any of that, but we're Gon na be talking about those launched products in this video also going to be talking about other brands like pure ology, olaplex, Redken, Kerastase yarmulke. We got a lot to talk through today, so, if you're interested in my updated hair care routine, we will jump right into that before we do. If you could, please make sure to give this video a thumbs up and to subscribe. That would mean so much to me and really help me out also make sure to click on that notification, bow because I post three to four new videos every single week. For you guys, so you definitely don't want to miss out if you're looking for more content. For me after this video click on the description box below, because I have links to my blog podcast and Instagram, and I have loads of content for you guys over there. As well alrighty, let's talk hair here so quickly Before we jump into this, I want to say that this video is going to be specific to shower haircare, so shampoo, conditioner, masks and then post shower hair treatment. Sprays, if you guys want a separate video dedicated to like dry shampoos and hair sprays and styling products, let me know in the comments below I can definitely do that for you, but that is going to be for a separate video. So first, let's talk about longe, which I'm sure is why most of you are here. So when I posted that long haul. Initially, I told you guys - I was just ready to take my hair to the next level and that's because I live somewhere that has extremely hard water if you're not really familiar with hard water. Look up hard water map of the USA and you can see how hard the water is in the area that you live, and you will also see on that map that Minneapolis is like top five or maybe even top three worst hard water in the entire country. Hard water essentially, is just damaging to the hair. So normally, when you live in a house, you can have water softener in there or if you live somewhere, that you own the property, you can have water softener and take a little bit of control of that. But when you don't and you live in an apartment like me, you don't have control over that and it destroys the hair. I'M telling you so I do actually use a little filter on my showerhead. I can link below to try to help combat some of that, but it only goes so far. It'S definitely not the same thing as having water softener. The water still damages the hair at the end of the day. It'S really unfortunate, so I basically was like I just want to put together a system that I am really confident in that helps protect my hair as best as I can against hard water against heat damage and also against bleach, because obviously I have blonde hair. I have to highlight my hair to maintain the root area. I have recently tried to transition into, or I guess I'm trying to transition into getting more of a balayage type. Look my whole life. I did full foils and that is so hard to maintain and when it starts to grow out even like four weeks after you get it done, it's like. Why do you have a stripe down your head? So as much as I love being blonde, it's also a frickin curse and if you have ever wished that you have blonde hair, but you have dark hair right now, honestly consider yourself lucky, because the maintenance is a frickin. Let me tell you that so I have blonde hair, I have to bleach it. Bleach is extremely damaging. So when you combine the bleach, the heat, the hard water, you have a whole little trio of a mess for the hair. So I was like you know what I'm ready to take it to the next level feel like I'm obsessed with my hair care, routine and normally products like laundry are things that I would not personally go for. To be completely honest, it felt really pushy on Instagram. I was really hesitant about it because I was just like what is this and the price points really low, which makes me skeptical when it comes to hair, because quality hair care is expensive. It sucks, but it's the truth. So the low price point made me really sketched out, but the reason I wanted to try. It is because I found this woman on Instagram who's, a hairdresser. She gives amazing hair tips and she swears by the brand lunge. She was obsessed with all their products. She posted about them all the time and obviously, I'm sure she's affiliated with them in some sense, but she truly seemed to really love them and she did show like before-and-after photos of her hair and attributed a lot of the growth to lunge before her hair was So short, and just fried and dead and frazzled and her hair was literally to her hips after so I was like, oh my god and like thick hair too, you know not like stringy long hair, so I was impressed that sold me. I really wanted to try these products. So let's talk about the products that I purchased, I did get to shampoo and conditioner sets. The first is their marula oil, hydrating, shampoo and conditioner, and the other one that I got, I believe, was called their celestial reparative shampoo and conditioner set number one. I didn't like how they made my hair feel but number two. They caused me to have such a bad eczema flare-up immediately after I used it, and I knew it was that, because literally right after I stepped out of the shower, I was like. Oh my god, my scalp is on fire. So if you don't know this about me, I do have eczema at the base of my scalp and a certain things can definitely trigger it, but I had been using kiala ji, shampoo and conditioner, which is a beautiful brand. I love their hair care, I'll talk about them in a second, but I had been using really nice, shampoo and conditioners already, so I think going from that to those launched products. My eczema was like and it flared up so bad and burned like heck. It hurt it hurts all that, and then I tried the marula oil, Shampoo and Conditioner set these same thing. I just didn't like the way that they made my hair feel my hair felt kind of like weighed down. It, didn't feel soft and brushable and smooth it. Just felt kind of gross and like heavy and like something was sitting in my hair. You know that stripped feeling after you go in a pool with a lot of chlorine and your hair just feels kind of gross and stripped and dry he's kind of made. My hair feel that way not as severe, but it was that same kind of vibe, so I tried them a few times. It never got better. It always felt that way. So these are enough for me. The next two products that I want to talk about. I'M grouping these together because these are the two products that that hairdresser was like. If you get nothing else from launch, get these two products and it's their sorbet botannical, smoothing balm and their satin nectar nourishing gloss. This one is supposed to smooth the hair. It says it's a leave-in conditioner it softens the hair, helps with frizz, adds shine, etc. So I was like great perfect. This did not make my hair feel good. I felt like my hair was just very tangley after so that's really strange because it's supposed to be smoothing and conditioning - and I felt like I needed a ton of conditioner after I put this in - to try to fix it. I was like what the heck, so I'm somebody that currently washes my hair once a week and it definitely starts to feel gross around like day five for sure, but it usually is like about five days and tell him like yeah, I'm not liking. How this is feeling - and this made me want to wash my hair like the next day - I just I did not like the feeling it didn't do it. It said it would do so. No again, this nourishing gloss. So this says that it's just filled with antioxidants. It conditions protects and softens the hair again this I I mean it was fine. I will say it didn't: leave my hair feeling relatively soft and looking a little bit shiny, but I just didn't love the way that it felt in my hair and I don't really feel like it did much for it at the end of the day. I think also, I probably somebody that doesn't need a product like this in their hair care routine anyway, because I have hair that dries pretty straight and can dry pretty flat and sometimes when you're, putting glosses and oils in your hair. That can just weigh it down. Further, so I want things that are gon na volume, eyes the hair and not weigh it down, because it's already flat enough, as is so you know, it could just be that this type of product is not right for my hair type and maybe, if you had Frizzy or hair you'd love this, but no next I got a mask and that is there: silk venom keratin a treatment mask. So this is just something that you leave on in the shower. For like five to ten minutes, you put it on the ends of your hair. You use it maybe like once a week once every other week and it's just supposed to strengthen the hair and repair it. So this one definitely felt the best and my hair out of all the products that I used. It definitely left my hair feeling soft and brushable and manageable after I used it, but at the same time I just don't really felt like it did much for my hair at all. You know, so it's fine. If you wanted to buy it, I don't think you would end up hating it. I don't think it would do anything bad for your hair necessarily but again it was just like. I don't know that I really notice a difference in my hair, so I stopped using it and then the last product that I purchased from them is they're cool toning shampoo. So I wanted to get a purple shampoo to help with the brassiness that starts to develop. In blond hair, if you're blonde, you know all about it, especially if you have hard water like me, my hair starts to turn brassy after, like a couple weeks of getting it colored, which is just the frickin worst, it's so annoying. So I got this for that purpose. This definitely does tone the hair. So if you're looking for a purple shampoo that helps to tone down the brassiness, this does that. However, I feel like it just left my hair feeling a little bit stripped and dry again, so I feel like there is a different purple shampoo out there that I could use that would leave my hair feeling softer and nicer, but still tone it. So again, is this something you're gon na hate? Probably not. Is it something that's going to blow you out of the water and you're gon na be obsessed with Pelle, not so really unfortunate that that ends up being my review for launch it really bummed on it? I would hoping I would love it or at least love a few of the items, but I mean I should have known better right like I said it seemed a little sketchy on Instagram. The price points are really low and I was already using pure ology shampoo conditioner, which is super good, so I wouldn't personally recommend any of those products. I did also get their leave-in conditioning spray. I forgot to say that as well, that I was like did they mean hair spray, like it completely felt like just a dry mess on my hair, so all in all really underwhelmed with the brand lunge. I was not impressed by any of their products. I know people really love their styling tools and they're super cute. I haven't tried any of them myself and maybe that's more like what their brand is going to shine with and what they should be known for, but for what I have tried from them. Unfortunately, new. Ok, so now that we know I'm not using lunge hair care anymore, let's talk through the products that I am using and then I absolutely love and would absolutely recommend. The first is my trusty, pure ology. I feel guilty that I even tried to be like this. Isn'T that great it is it is you guys? I know that you have to pay a hefty penny for it, and this is not something. That'S just like a quick, easy, affordable product to purchase, but it works, and it's worth it for me also because I only wash my hair 1 to 2 times a week. I use far less shampoo and conditioner than I ever used to so could I have used something like this in high school heck? No, because I was washing my hair and literally every single day, but now it's worth it because it lasts. You know so win-win there, because not washing your hair as frequently definitely helps it to grow longer and stronger, and then you can use more expensive products and you can get away with that. So the first line that I want to mention from them is their strength. Cure shampoo and conditioner. This says that it's from micro scarred, slash damaged and color treated hair, and then it says that you're supposed to have 97 % stronger hair. After only one use of this system - and I will say it definitely has helped my hair, like my hair, feels amazing after I use these products, it definitely made a difference in strengthening my hair after, like a month of using these and switching from what I was Using to that which I believe was Redken, which is like a decent brand, I noticed a huge improvement in my hair. It just looked thicker and healthier, and just better even my mom was like what did you different to your hair? It looks really good she's, a tough critic, so you know if she's calling something out it worked. So I love those products. That'S such a good line, the other one that I currently have is their pure volume shampoo. If you're, someone like me, that has hair that can dry pretty flat and straight you'll love this, because it definitely gives my hair a little boost of volume. So I like these better for the purpose of like strengthening and hydrating the hair. But if you're looking for volume that one's really good, so I've used those lines from pure ology. I have also used their hydrate lines, so the purple bottle - and I love that one as well. So I would recommend all three. What I like to do is really kind of like cycle through different shampoo and conditioner sets. I find that the longer I use the same thing on my hair. It seems to get accustomed to it. You know and just not have the same results and not look quite as amazing, so I'm going to show you two more brands here that I also use in love and what I personally do is just rotate between all of these, depending on whatever I feel like At the time that allows me to see the best results in my hair, do you need to have three different shampoos and conditioners to see good results? No, but that's just what I do and like I said, because I don't wash my hair that frequently it makes it worth it for me for the price the next brand. I want to talk about that. I'Ve really been enjoying. This is a newer addition to my shower routine for me, and that is the brand Kerastase. I think that's how you pronounce it. So this obviously is a salon high-quality brand. This line specifically, is their resistance line. So it's just supposed to be a reparative strengthening, anti-breakage, shampoo and conditioner. I'Ve really been enjoying these again. They just make my hair feel amazing after I use them so soft, so nice and silky, I just I love them all so immediately when I use these. Oh, I think they smell like the Garnier, Fructis, shampoo and conditioner. You know that appley scent, and I was obsessed with that when I was younger, I mean it's been years and years since I used Garnier, but I freaking loved that smell shampoo. It smells just like it smells so good. The one downside, obviously, is that that smell is coming from fragrance, and I have started to research fragrance a lot more in both skin care and hair care, and it's something I am going to start to wean off of where I can, because fragrance is something that Can definitely irritate the skin scalp on her head is skin and if you have an irritated scalp, if you have scalp eczema, psoriasis excessive drying irritation. Anything like that. You really want to try to avoid fragrance. If you can so I'm actually going to be testing out a fragrance free, shampoo and conditioner coming up here soon. Let me know if you guys want me to do a video dedicated to that. I definitely can, but that's the one downside. Otherwise, if you don't really have scalp concerns like that, these products are amazing and they make my hair feel luscious and last but not least, we need to talk about olaplex, so I also added olaplex to my little haircare system. This is their number four shampoo and their number five conditioner and it's basically just to repair, strengthen and hydrate the hair, so people are like ride-or-die for olaplex these days. I feel like I'm, seeing it more and more and people just swearing by it and saying it helps to transform their hair so much, and I first started out trying to use olaplex either the number three or the number six, whichever one in their line is like The bond builder for the hair - and, to be honest, I don't really feel like. I noticed much of a difference and using that for my hair, the bottle is tiny, so I went through it relatively quickly, so I feel like for that product. I probably wouldn't need to go through a couple bottles to really start to feel like I'm seeing a big transformation in my hair, but I was like after I use that these products. On the other hand, I feel, like I notice immediate results with that's what I used showering and washing my hair last night, and don't you just feel like it's got some good body to it. It'S got some life. It just makes my hair feel nice and I mean don't mind me also cuz. I curled my hair like actually seven hours ago, so we're falling a lot, but it definitely makes my hair feel nice and I feel confident that it's helping to strengthen my hair and just really improve it all around. So you can see I've hardly gone through like any of this, and I've used it multiple times that I've really really liked it. So I will continue to keep you guys updated on all of those shampoo and conditioner sets. I mean pure ology. I'Ve used that one for like well over a year at this point, so there's not much of an update to give there I've loved that for a long time, but as far as Kerastase and all the plaques, I can continue to keep you guys updated on those Over on my Instagram, but I've used them a lot. I really like them. I wouldn't post a video if I hadn't used them long enough for me to really form an opinion and love them. So I love both of those they blow launched out of the water. Like it's not even a comparison, so I'd recommend both if you are looking to buy 2 out of the 3. What would I recommend, I would say, probably PG and olaplex would be my number one and two and then Kerastase is like a fun third to add. In I mean it's not that fun, because it's really expensive, but when you're using three at a time, this will last you a while okay. So that's it as far as shampoo and conditioner next I wanted to talk about this hair mask that I purchased from the brand on the cus. So this is another one that I've seen blowing up on Instagram recently. So I was very hesitant after my launch experience, but this one's actually sold through Sephora, which makes me trust it a little bit more launched at the time they're like haircare products, not their hair tools. I could only find on the launch website. They did have tools at Ulta, but none of their other products, so I was like alright. If it's at Sephora, it can't be terrible. Let'S test it out. It had really really good reviews, and this is just an intense Harry, pear mask. It says it's basically like hair rehab, so if I use this probably like every other week, mostly just because I don't like to sit in the shower for 10 minutes with a hair mask on because I just prune up and I'm uncomfortable - and I want to get Out, I'm not like a bath person, there's nothing fun to me about sitting in dirty bathwater. Sorry, I had to say it. I don't really like baths, also because I'm 510 and I don't fit in bathtubs anyway, totally unrelated, but that's why I don't use it. Every single time I wash my hair because I don't love to just like sit there with a hair mask on and it does recommend that you use it for 10 minutes. I would say I probably leave it in my hair for about five minutes. It definitely leaves my hair feeling amazing afterwards, so really excited to continue using that something that I'm really glad that I purchased, because I haven't really found a mask that I've been obsessed with before and this one. I like a lot. It'S like enough to where it smoothes the hair and makes it feel nice, but I don't feel like it weighs down my hair like crazy, which, like I said, I cannot have my hair care routine, all right and then. Lastly, let's talk about leaving conditioners. This is a very important step, so don't click out yet, if you think we're done because we are not. This is crucial if you want to help the strengthen the hair alrighty. We have a few to talk about here. If you are not currently using some sort of spray after you get out of the shower on your hair, you need to. I would really recommend using an all-in-one spray like the ones that I'm going to talk about, because then you don't need to use a ton of different sprays but you're just getting a lot of great benefits and one product more bang for your buck. So these sprays all have slightly different claims and benefits, but kind of like the same idea. So let me just read the back of this pure ology one. This is specifically the pure ology color fanatic, multitasking, hair beautifier, and it says it has 21 essential benefits under the categories of prime protect and perfect. So some of those things are protecting against color fade a leave-in conditioner, a detangler moisturizing, the hair, preventing split ends, preventing breakage, smoothing the hair, making it silky, reducing dry time, etc, etc, etc. So, like all, these different amazing benefits that we would want in hair products. Just put into one so I use these hair sprays in one of two ways. The first is like I said right after I get out of the shower. I will spray this all over. My hair really make sure I get a good amount on the ends and then just brush through my hair. So it's a detangler and then that's a heat protectant as well, and it just does great things for my hair and then the other way that I love to use. Sprays like this is as a conditioner for my hair in between washes. So once I start to hit like day 3 after washing my hair, it can definitely start to feel a little bit dry and frazzled on the ends. So what I will do is take one of these sprays and really really spray the ends of my hair like ponytail length, and I get it really nice and damp. And then I won't either put it in a loose braid or just like a loose twist. And I will sleep on it like that. First of all, that creates really beautiful waves the next day, but also it just helps to rehydrate the hair so that you don't have all that static dryness frizziness going on it just like adds moisture back into the hair, which is what we need when it's been Like four days since conditioner, you know so that definitely helps with that. I love it for that purpose. This pure ology one is my favorite out of all of these would really really recommend this. The other pure ology spray that I have is a little bit different because it's not like a 501 treatment product. It really is just for blondes as a filler treatment. So it says that this miracle filler fills in gaps and fragile, porous hair, leaving highlighted blondes, soft and shiny. Again, I love this product. If you are a blonde, it does do exactly what it says. It helps your hair to feel soft and shiny again after you bleach it and damage the heck out of it. So that's another really good one. The other two all-in-one sprays that I use are the redkin one United multi benefit treatment, spray and the living proof restore perfecting spray. So again same type of thing, both really great. If I were to do like a little hierarchy here, I would say pure ology is best then living proof, then redkin, but I enjoy all of them same type of thing. As my shampoo and conditioner, I will just cycle through the ones that I use, because I feel like my hair starts to get accustomed to them. So I really like to just switch it up and I will basically just use a different one. Each time that I wash my hair but they're a must for me like unless so highly recommend those. If you don't currently use some sort of spray and then I did want to mention one more type of spray: that's a little bit unique. So this is called a nourishing, moisture oil spray and it's by macadamia professional. So this is supposed to nourish hydrate and protect the hair and the reason that that one is a bit different is because it definitely does have that more oily feel to it. So, whereas the other treatment sprays that I use, I can spray all over my head and really enjoy using those products in that way. I could not do that with this, because it would make my hair look very greasy, so I would say I use this. Maybe like once, every few washes or if I feel like my hair, is just feeling extra extra dry and need some extra love. I will just spray that, specifically on the ends of my hair, while it's still wet once every few washes. So I really do like this product, but you have to be careful with it, don't put it all over your head and I would say that that doesn't replace any of these three sprays, it's kind of just like an extra one. If you want it, alright, you guys so we're gon na wrap up this video here. I hope that you enjoyed it and let me know in the comments below, if you guys had a similar experience to me with launched hair care, huge bummer. I'M still sad about that honestly. Also, let me know if you use any of these products that I talked about what your thoughts are or, if you're thinking about purchasing any of them after this sound off in the comments below we can chat there. Laura Schott: Wow, word for word I could have written your L'ange review. I bought basically all the same products that you did and felt exactly like you did. Talk about underwhelmed! Thank you for being honest because then when you say something is great I can really believe it!

Jackie O: For my fine hair girls: a great all-in-one spray I’ve found for post shower damp hair is the drybar Prep Rally spray! It’s a detangler, lightweight conditioner, heat protectant, and style primer. Works awesome with my fine hair- doesn’t weigh it down or make it crunchy like every other heat protectant I’ve tried. I still use a leave-in on my ends but this is the most perfect all over spray I’ve found

Natalie J: I only ever used shampoo and conditioner I could get from target and I finally made the switch to pureology a few months ago and I’m OBSESSED! I have really fine, oily hair and have to wash it at least every other day in general and it honestly lasts me way longer than my old OGX did. It’s so much better quality that I don’t need to use much at all to get great results. I’m now absolutely hooked on pureology lol. I just wish they didn’t use essential oils/fragrance! That’s really my only complaint.

Abbey Yung: Hi guys! I feel like I need to write this note because I've seen a couple comments that have been extremely offensive from people who are huge L'ange fans (99% of the comments have been very kind, though- so thank you!). Honesty is SO important to me on my channel. If you are a frequent viewer, you already know this about me. But if not, I take my product reviews & recommendations very seriously. I will never recommend a product that I had a negative experience with. That has never & will never sit right with me. But keep in mind, I am only sharing based off of my personal experience! Just because a product does not work for me & I wouldn't recommend it, doesn't mean it's a horrible product that will work for no one. We all have different hair types, preferences, etc. If you use L'ange and love it, that's great! I'm so happy that you are getting your money's worth. I am just here to share my honest experience & thoughts to help viewers make a purchasing decision- whatever that may be ❤️

Abigail•Rose: Thanks so much for saving me time and money! Lange is SO commercialized it’s insane! I see it everywhere! I ordered the La Duo and it’s exactly like a straightener so if you can’t curl your hair with a straightener you won’t be able to with the La Duo either! I was able to do my 11 year olds hair but the next morning the girls where GONE (no clue why) and she was bummed and so was I. We get the FOMO but not really missing out on anything.

Caitlin Briana: I started the olaplex shampoo and conditioner line and I'm super impressed. I figured out that for shampoo and conditioner I just need like, a dime or penny size for my hair and my hair is relatively thick too Genuinely impressed as well

Amy DeLeon: Yes! Washing 1x a week I can totally justify spending more $! My hair was SEVERELY dry & damaged - used olaplex #3 & within 4 uses it was transformed into a healthy head of hair!!! But dang, the price & size!!! ‍♀️

Paula Taylor: Loved this hair care video! Thank you. I found my experience with Lange the same as yours. Although I have totally different hair (very short, very fine, and gray...) we share most of the same issues with brassy tones and hydration. I’m going to get some Pureology for sure! Have a great week! ❤️❤️

Kerri Grottenberg: Hey!! I totally agree with your hair care review of L’ange and it was so refreshing to hear someone else say everything I was thinking. Also, I had a HORRIFIC experience dealing with their customer service team to work through a simple issue. I was just treated really badly and I was disappointed to say the least. Anyways!! On to happy things :) question for u!! I too have had a patch of eczema at the back of my head.... had it my whole life and I’ve struggled for years to find a shampoo/conditioner that helps it. It’s getting worse and spreading so if there’s anything you can recommend I would love the help. Thanks in advance so much! Liked and followed, can’t wait to see more content from you :):)

Gabrielle Bonser: Nothing beats L’ANZA when it comes to hair care. I love their keratin healing oil line. Smells amazing and is sulphate/paraben free and safe for keratin treated hair.

Alicia Fanning: The cascade shampoo from Lange was the first shampoo that really helped me get away from washing my hair daily because of the oil. It’s been my favorite shampoo. Left my scalp feeling clean and was able to train my hair to be washed every 3-4 days instead of every day (no dry shampoo). I didn’t love everything I tried but I wouldn’t say they were a scam ‍♀️but that was my experience.

Erin Scott: Omg my hair is just like yours! Blonde fine haired gal here! ‍♀️ And I have eczema on the base of my scalp too! I’m so glad I found you! Love how honest you are with all this. I bought the Oleplex line, the pureology color fanatic leave in spray, the ordinary hair oils, and the tresemmé thermal heat tamer for now. I just took out my tie in hair extensions and my hair is on its start to the healing process (thin and damaged) question: What product is best for making your hair feel like it has weight to it? My hair feels like a cloud ☁️ ‍♀️ also I’m going to try the pureology spray on my dry hair for up keep. It blows my mind that the product doesn’t over saturate? I will have to wait until it comes in to see. Also can you make a video that really explains the go to products you use for moisturizing your ends in more depth? I want to learn when to put certain oils or sprays in my ends without over saturating and over night treatments? If you’ve made this one please comment the link below!! (Ok I think I went on too much! ) Thanks for making these videos bc we are hair twins and I found you seriously perfect timing ⏱ it’s going to take a while to watch all your videos! Thanks girl! ✌

Kelly from Memphis 孤独死: I love anything that would “strengthen” hair...thank you for these reviews. I have low maintenance hair, I quit dying it, I am now silver. Very fine and thin to the point I don’t use any conditioner. Just a unscented glycerin bar soap to cleanse daily. It’s long but it breaks off at a certain point. A simple silk pillow case has definitely helped. I style it with zinc oxide mixed with corn starch and a silver colored hair gel on the ends to tame frizz and add shine to my brunette ends. Once a week, I color it with arctic fox’s lavender, that keeps my natural brunette color from being brassy. All that and a good haircut regularly, my natural wave allows me to just wash and go. But I would really like to add some sort of treatment to prevent breakage! So thank you!

Laur Caut: I used to use redken too but started using pureology strength cure at your recommendation, and I’m obsessed! Have you tried the strength cure treatment mask as well? I ordered it to try and am hoping I like it equally as much as the shampoo and conditioner.

Audrey Hill: The pureology leave in spray has done wonders for my hair, first leave in spray where I actually noticed a huge difference

Caitlin Sulham: The Amika color-lock leave in spray has been a favorite for years along with their dry conditioning spray and texture spray.

SNE 85: Nothing beats Purelology! I have my license so I get it cheaper which is a big help bc it is expensive! But it is SO worth it! Using good products definitely makes a difference.

J S: I love the Lange dry shampoo. And I have tried dozens. That’s the only thing I will keep buying from Lange and I tried many things even brushes. I love Olaplex. #3 mask was amazing When my hair was damaged. But don’t notice a big change now since I have been using the shampoo and conditioner.

eyes.of.the.divine: I'm so glad to hear someone say they aren't impressed with L'ange. I purchased a volumizing round blowdry brush (way too expensive) and it literally did nothing to add volume. I couldn't figure out how they had such great reviews.

Steffi Baker: Product reviews actually start at 5:15.

Kaylahbee56: I loved Lange' the la Maine shampoo and their hair mask once a week I'd love to see you give Lange another go and try that combo paired with their oil treatment before showering all their other shampoos are Meh the blowout set one is nice for a deeper clean than the La Maine shampoo is. I also love their posh hair polish that is the GOLD product paired with their sorbet it gives the sorbet and a couple squirts of the gloss hair polish a lot more moisture on the ends.

Catalina Randle: Your hair looks healthy and nourished so we should definitely trust your advice I am surprised that throughout the years I had most of the products in your video: Kerastase, Pureology and more recently I have invested in Olaplex. I think, especially in this case, is worth spending more money on good quality ... more or a lot of money . PS: your makeup always looks great!

Vivian Cee: Stubbled on your video because I was looking for reviews on the brand L’ange. Love the review, you seem so honest and thorough, and love that you use products long enough to give a real opinion. Seems like we have similar hair types, so you are perfect for me! You got a new sub here!

Kady Turner: Girl I had the same experience with L’ange! The main ingredient on all of the products I got was alcohol!

EcoBuzz Los Angeles: Thank you! I thought I was nuts, it's nice to see I'm not the only one. I LOVE their straightening brush and thought the Heat Shield and Thermal Magique (heat & humidity tamer) sprays would be great heat protectants to use before using the brush. I should have done my research... the first ingredient in both is alcohol and they left my hair feeling dry and like it had a hair spray coating. Major yuck. I also happened to have an eczema flare-up that day which I realize now must not have been a coincidence. Ugh!

joy115: I am a hairdresser and I agree about the Lange products. I tried a lot of their products and only liked the Marula oil. But I do like their tools! I would recommend Malibu products for the water that you're dealing with

Harmony_izU2: This is the first video I have watched of you. I have always been hair obsessed! I agree with your reviews & like the vibe I got from you related to products for hair. I have never tried Lange' & don't think I have any desire to after viewing this video. I love Pureology! Every product I've tried from Amika so far I have really liked. I love to switch it up but haven't known what I want to try next...? I think I will try the Olaplex I've heard so much about for the last couple years. I feel your video came at the right time for me & I was at the right place! Thanks for the helpful info! I would love more hair product videos!

Kristi Luv: Olaplex dries my hair until it looks fried! Purology does nothing for me. L’ange heat shield dries you out bad, but orange stuff on the natural curls is a game changer for me. Lovely silky curls

Ashley Wyatt: Your eyeshadow is such a pretty color! Please share the deets! :) Also if you have hard water I would highly recommend doing a malibu treatment once a month. It will remove all the hard water build up and allow your conditioning products to penetrate the hair shaft.

Hannah Nicole: Lange products are okay, I have a ton! My all time favorite is the Borago Hair Mask however what sucks with all the products is that they are HEAVILY fragranced and I'm allergic to it

LoFo45: New subscriber here! Totally agree with your opinions on these products. I’ve used lots of L’ange products. I even bought the dog shampoo lol. This was after watching several influencers on Facebook rave about how well the products work. I have to say, I do like the dry shampoo and the styling tools. My biggest issue with their products is the SD alcohol so high up in the ingredient list. Not good! I immediately stopped using their products when I saw this. No wonder you thought it was hairspray and not conditioner! I’ve been using briogeo and Kerastase for about a year now and LOVE them! Kerastase is the best shampoo I’ve ever used. I’ve been using the Colleen Rothschild mask and am loving it too!

Tina Bennett: I use the complete olaplex line and my hair loves it. I use Kure mask and leave it in for hours on a Sunday once a month and it replenishes moisture leaving my hair hydrated and improves manageability. I have colored and foiled hair, 53 and wash every 3-4 days.

Erika Ortiz: Abby! I love you girl! I have thick hair and since March I turn 30 and quarantine happen. My hair was shedding, falling, and felt less thick. So by faith (literally). I purchase the pureology strength cure. Wash my hair one time. Too soon tell but... I’m feeling my hair now! I hope this is it and if it wasn’t for you I would’ve never found it. So thank you!

Megan H: I love olaplex no 3. I find using it for 30 mins or longer gives me the best results (blonde, fine hair). I used to only do like 10-15 mins before shampooing, still liked the results, but that extra time reallllyy makes a difference!! Maybe try keeping it on longer next time you use it, I think you’ll like it more

Kim Pham: I’ve been watching your videos for 2 days on OLAPLEX and repairing your damaged hair. Best believe I purchased the micro fibre towel, wet brush and OLAPLEX. I am obsessed with how obsessed you are with hair care and you are pushing me to do better by my hair. I recently balyaged my hair, and I wanted to learn how to take care of my hair bleached. Thank you for your informative videos. I’m learning ❤️

Zaraa A: Hey abbey ! Thank you so much for the video, I really really trust your opinions and enjoy watching your videos, theyre very informative and relaxing to watch tbh! I just wanted to ask which brand would you recommend i get? Pureology or Redken? i cant get both i'm on a tight budget for my upcoming wedding but i believe in quality so i'm definitely trying to get my hands on either one. Would love to know what you suggest. My hair is damaged but not completely damaged and I'm a brunette with fine to medium long hair.

Géraldine jouannel: While in the US, I discovered the brand Colure through a hairdresser in Califonia. It's very expensive but I never have a shampoo that leaves my hair soft and "put together' which is important for someone who doesn't blow dry. As a French (Kerastase is a French brand), I can tell you that Kerastase (like Garnier) is a brand with a lot of bad ingredients and it's a shame their price tag is high in the US.

HBChrista: Thank you for this review! Im a Pureology OG and have tried other but always go back. Your makeup looks so beautiful in this video. Please do a video on this makeup look or tell us what products you used to get this amazing look...

Adriana Hancock: I’m so glad I came across your channel and review. And I completely agree with your L’ange assessment as well as Pureology. I have so. Much. L’ange stuff and will finish using it but it’s just … eh. But pureology is sooo good!

Lisa Borsella: I am new to your channel, and I wanted to thank you for your help. I needed a new hair care "system" and with so so much product over load, I was confused to say the least! I am going with Pureology! I have read great things about Pureology before. I know that one can find great items from different hair care lines, but I need a well rounded TOTAL hair care line- not 1 product from one company, and another from yet another. YOUR hair looks gorgeous, so I can't go too wrong :) Thanks again!

Cindy Lyssikatos: @Lookfantastic has good deals on Pureology They also have a purple-blue for blonds shampoo and conditioner to tone brassy locks Love the Pureology sprays for same reason - also once a week shampooer

Melissa Litwinski: First time I've watched you and absolutely love the honesty and details you provided. I literally had a basket of l'ange products I was about to purchase and knew better than to click purchase without seeing some real reviews, so thank you! Due to graying, health issues and hard water, I have a lot of breakage, dryness and thinning. I have been using biolage, which I do love, but you've convinced me to invest in pureology too. I'm going to check out some of your other reviews. Thanks again!

B&M Johnston: Fanola is the king of purple shampoo - SUPER strong. Redken Blondage is easier to find. Banishes brass, esp in hard water. But it It has sulphates, so clarifying as well as toning. Wish I could say Kerastase isn't worth the but I adore it, concentrated & lasts forever. The trick with Olaplex #3 is leave it in overnight. It's NOT a conditioner, it's a bond repairer. You'll need a conditioner after. Amika makes awesome styling products. Marshall's has it sometimes.

cassiej104: The bond builder works best if you have the additive to your lightener first. Ive tried the lange straightener and HATE it. My favorite shampoo and conditioner right now is Kpak and Strong Sexy Hair

BObsessed88: Your L'ange experience sounds a lot like the one I had with Monat products! I love Pureology and Olaplex! Have you tried Briogeo? That seems to be the newest one I keep seeing pop up!

Bonnie Cochran: Hey Abbey! I’m a relatively new viewer of your channel (and tbh I have binge watched most of them ) but I’m curious if you have ever used anything from the Nexxus hair care line? I’d love to see something on that from you!

SBMusic: I literally just got my first lange products and used the blowout primer & thermal magique last night for the first time. My hair is THICK and frizzy. As in, every salon I've been to has said my hair is thicker than black girl hair. I've struggled for over a decade trying to find products that work on my hair. The blowout primer and thermal magique heat protectant/humidity spray didn't do much last night, however, when I woke up..my hair was deflated to a normal size, less frizzy and the softest I've ever felt it. So I'm thinking lange might work better on thick hair..? I just push mowed my yard in high humidity and 90°+ then came inside and my hair is still soft and only a fraction frizzy compared to before when I push mow. I'm impressed so far, however I'll probably try pureology for shampoo and conditioner. Any other thick haired girls have brand preferences and tips? Let me know! Thanks!

Melanie Courtois: That was a great video, I am a big fan of Pureology 21 and Olaplex (literally saved my hair - please ask your hairdresser to use Olaplex if you ever bleach your hair).

Sarah Yount: Pureology and REDKEN are actually sister companies. I used to go to a salon that was specifically a REDKEN salon so that’s all they used, but Pureology was part of that which I loved.

Kimberley Thigpen: This is first review of yours I have watched. LOVE your honesty!! That’s what we need in a review! I have sensitive scalp issues as well… What are some good products you use to help with that? Such as scalp serum’s, etc.…

Lava Yuki: All my favourite brands in one! I love redken, kerastase, pureology and olaplex :)

Samantha Ricci: yay, thank you for this Abbey!!!! My skin is on the mend thanks to your vitamin recommendations:). Also, olaplex makes my scaply oily, wondering what you think <3

Amy Jo: Like you, I was using Pureology strengthening on my hair and it was given to me by my stylist to try out. Then along comes the L'ange sales on fb and they were offering free hair tools if you purchase x amount of stuff. So, I purchased the hair care products that you did and everything you said is true. My hair felt stripped and dried. It was the worst feeling because I've purchased a lot of product that is now sitting there like a threat. I'm just wondering who I can pawn these off on. After dropping all that money on L'ange, the best thing about it is the free hair tools. Definitely make your lange purchases in tools! The le volume is where it's at for people who have hair like us. Also the le vive... amazing! So now I've dropped the $80 on pureology shampoo and conditioner 33 ounce bottles and I already know it's worth it! The shampoo and conditioner are super concentrated and will last a long time, making the cost worth it! You're going to spend that money anyway on the cheap stuff except you're buying over and over. Just get the pureology. You wont regret it. Sorry to the ride or die L'ange peeps. I tried! I really wanted it to work. I did get the keratin mask and plan on using it once every few weeks, but I think that's the only one I'm going to be using.

Shannon Shank: Would definitely love to see a video like this for dry shampoo, hairspray, etc.

michelle dunn: I loved this video. I also have blonde very dry hair and hard water so I appreciated your reviews. People think it is weird that I never get greasy hair it just gets dry and fried looking after a few days so I am going to try the spray you recommended. I love kerastase and I’m now going to try phrenology. Thanks for all the great info.

Carole Sears: Thank you for your video, I didn't like Pureology years ago, but I was bleaching my hair and had well water and I felt it didn't work the way I wanted it to but now that I have stopped bleach my hair (the only thing good in 2020) my hair is a lot healthier, with using heavy moisturizing shampoo and conditioners for so many years it's been hard to find hair products that don't make my hair feel heavy and oily. I'm heading to Ulta to give Pureology another try because of your review :) and bonus Ulta haves travel sizes which if I don't like I don't have to return :) thanks for your honesty.

Braeden Villeneuve: So happy I watched this bc I saw the same girl’s instagram. I could immediately tell that she gets a kickback from them and was also super turned off by all of her additional mlm affiliations. Thanks for making this!

Maria Robes: I have had great results with L'ange, love my hair. I have lots of products. The Sorbet and the Satin Nectar combined is awesome. I only use a drop of each and mix it and I have fine thin hair and makes my hair super soft. I love All their products that are for my type of hair. But I can understand if you have skin issues how some products will not be good.

Madison Peteani: Thank you! Such an informative video. I needed some ideas for new haircare systems.. I had been using Monat for almost two years. I saw amazing results with my hair from that brand but at about the 1.5 year mark, my experience went downhill extremely quickly. After a few more months, I called it quits and tried out Hairitage my cousin recommended. I actually enjoyed that brand more than I thought. I am definitely into the all natural and more organic haircare products, but I know I need to focus on strengthen my hair first. I have seen your opinions on some of the ingredients that have been labeled as negative in the haircare industry and have kept an open mind. My friend who does my hair recommended the Redken Extreme line, so I am currently using the Extreme Length system to help. My routine as far as washing and frequency is very similar to yours. After Redken, I will definitely be trying out pureology and I am very excited! I am newer to your channel and originally started watching for the haircare videos; I have always had long hair but I am interested in growing it longer and stronger. I love that you dive into the ingredients and highlight the good and bad! Thank you for all your recommendations and honest opinions!❤️

Fashionwork12: *Fun fact * L’Oréal owns Redken matrix pureology and mizani products. (I’m sure there’s more they own not coming to me now). All there ingredients are the same. My distributor told me the Redken one united leave in spray is the same ingredients as the mizani leave in and the pureology leave in! Food for thought !!

Paige Sword: I use the entire Oplax line love it! I also use and love IGK, pureology and amika brust your brass blonde shampoo conditioner and the mouse. The best blonde toning product I’ve found is the IGK blonde drops.

susana belmonte: L’ange leaves my hair feeling so soft, but I have coarse, wavy, frizzy hair. I have spent so much money on other products that have not worked. Another line that also works on my hair is Tyme shampoo and conditioner. I alternate between lange and tyme.

Megan: Yayyyy can’t wait to see more about fragrance free hair care! I’ve started swapping out my skin care and already have to use fragrance free detergent due to itching and bumps from regular detergent. Also, do you know of a good body lotion that is fragrance free?

Tanya M: I love Olaplex. I get No°1 and No°2 treatments at the salon. No°3 is pretty much a bond maintenance for at-home use until your next salon visit. No°6& No°7 are a godsend.

JLW RedWhtBlu: New to your channel. Love Pureology have used nearly 20 years. Colorproof is also really great. I believe they (Loreal own them both). New to Amika bought a bunch of the line. Have only tried the Flash shine mask.

Dawn Marie Booher: I have that reaction at the base of my scalp from time to time and did not realized till watching your video it is my Eczema. I do have Eczema on other parts of my body which is usually well controlled and EVCO helped me so much. Next time that happens to my scalp, I'll be sure to take note of changes in my haircare routine for triggers. I have avoided sulfates for over 20y. I am 45y now. That helped so much and I never used sulfates on my 6 children's hair.

E.: There's a lot of unnecessary demonization of fragrance in skin and hair products. In reality, fragrance will only irritate a small percentage of the population -- although if you have eczema, psoriasis, or other skin ailments, you may understandably want to avoid scented products. That being said, there is no such thing as accumulative sensitivity to fragrance -- you can develop a sensitivity to fragrance, but sensitivity to something will not "build up" over time. It's good to be aware of the ingredients you use, but it's important to understand that ingredients work in unison and that formulas are carefully created by cosmetic chemists.

Cheri Payne: Thank you for mentioning hard water!!!! We have rock hard water here in Idaho too. Causes problems with all hair.

x3: the l'ange silk venom mask is honestly amazing in my opinion. i naturally have straight & fine hair, but my hair is damaged & hay-like from bleach since I'm so blonde. when i only use my normal conditioner, my hair is not NEARLY as soft & detangled as when i use the l'ange mask. i use the mask maybe once a week & i don't even use conditioner after because it's just that good & nourishing. i also have their coconut conditioner which i have to mix with my regular conditioner because it's a little heavy on it's own, but i really enjoy how soft & detangled that conditioner makes my hair as well.

Cynthia H: I had eczema at the base of my scalp too until I went gluten free and it really worked! I was very skeptical. Might be worth a try for you.

Andrea Burke: For a good drugstore deep condition is the Shea moisture Manuka honey mafura oil only from ears to ends but I like the purology deep conditioner in the purple tube too as a higher end option and kenra revive oil is

Emily Coffey: Thank you for speaking the truth about L'ange! Unfortunately, I found your video after I had already purchased the products and had a similar experience that you had. I have psoriasis on my scalp and it just did not agree with those products. I do have a few of their hair tools that I love, but the products are just not for me. I will definitely check out your other product recommendations in this video!

MinneAppleJax: I noticed your comments on hair masks & totally agree about baths. Also, being in the shower longer than 10 min is really hard on my skin even tho we have soft water. Which makes it difficult to do hair masks, so what I did was invested in a combo shower head that includes a hand-held. So now, I can jump out of the shower, do the lotion routine, start on my skin care & then easily duck my head under the hand-held to rinse...literally takes extra 2 minutes. Also, Pureology Hydrate, (purple), is the best shampoo/conditioner I've ever used, hands down. I get it on ebay way cheaper, but you do have to be very VERY careful who you buy from on that platform. Because it has fragrance, tho, I swap between that & Vanicream's Free/Clear line bc my scalp gets irritated so easily. Olaplex is worth it's weight in gold on my dry fine color treated hair. Thanks for the reviews! Keep em coming!

Avi A: I’ve noticed that Kerastase is no longer exclusively being sold at Kerastase salons but at many beauty stores... tough times I see

thatsbathtastic: Man I agree with you. Somehow there is quality skincare products from the drugstore (Cerave) but hair care no dice. I also love that mask from Amika and the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner and the bonding oil!

Wendy: Pureology strength and cure blonde shampoo and conditioner is my favorite it's the purple shampoo I've ever tried in my life and the timing part !! Is a big wow factor

Valentina: Just tried L’ange invigorating shampoo and it stripped my hair of its oil and felt too “squeasy” clean. Not a fan of that as I already have dry brittle hair as it is.

Rebecca Ridgeway: So glad I found this review. I was getting ready to order Lange through recommendation. I will definitely order the Pureoology ones and try the Olapex after watching again to see which ones you said again and the Amina mask. And will have to listen again for the Redkin product etc

Katy B.: Ordered a silk pillow case, the Soleil hair dryer, and the Le Duo. The tracking site says my order should have been here already, but all that has happened is that the shipment information was created. :( Has anyone ever not received their order from L'ange? I have reached out to L'ange via their customer support request section of their website, but no responses yet. :(

Stacy Schumer: Pretty sure you sold me on all of it lol thanks for the recommendations I was about to order from L’ange but was feeling skeptical so this really helped me decide.

Bonnie: I appreciate all the research you put in for your videos.Thank you!

Jenifer Braciszewski: I agree about L'ange. I have eczema at the base of my head as well and I felt L'ange was very drying on top of making my hair feel like straw. Not worth it to me.

moi: Olaplex and Innersense are my two favorites hair brands. I actually shower before soaking in a bath.

Ellie Bear: Definitely give Joico K-pack a try sometime! I’ve been blonde for many years and it’s a nice rebuilding treatment

Pearl Brantner: I completely agree with the Lange review you gave. I was not impressed and I promise I gave them a fair shot. I will give Pureology a try. Thanks for the recommendation.

Aleasha Rowe: I love the smell of Moroccan Oil shampoo and conditioner I’ve used for years, but it does nothing for scalp eczema/psoriasis. Maria Nila has a healing head and hair line that works well, but it has a really cheap drugstore brand smell that’s honestly nauseating to me after using MO for so long.

Crazy4 Doxies: Redken absolutely dried out my high lift blonde hair. I kept buying it and couldn’t figure out why it was just breaking off but I was also using some Deva curl and L’Ange styling products and I also think that it was the styling products. I switched to a shampoo and conditioner that my stylist sells (super expensive but smells like heaven) it’s the Milk Shake line. My hair loves it.

Elizabeth Bumgarner: I tried the opalex no. 6 today after bleaching at the salon. At first it was nice. As it finished drying. My hair is extra frizzy, dry, it feels like I have a lot of products in my hair, and crunchy. Also itchy and like it might break off if I even touch it. For real!!! I love Purology strength cure shampoo and conditioner and I wanted a good leave in. I'm going to try there leave in you recommend. I have coarse, frizzy and bleached hair. I also have eczema and have to be very careful.

RejoiceRevival_Kim: I use the Redkin One United but I use the lotion instead of the spray. Do you notice a difference between the types of leave in products? I was told the lotion protects against heat protection better.

Jodi Lynn: This video was in my recommendations. I’m so glad it was because not only did I enjoy your video but I looked over your other videos and they are right up my ally! Needless to say, I subscribed

Tara Rainone: My hair dresser just told me I should try kerastase as well. So I actually just ordered the same shampoo and conditioner and the anti breakage serum. They currently have a 20% off if you spend $100. KERFF20 and free shipping so why not.

Stacey’s Hapa: I literally will never buy a product I see on Instagram! I bought over $150 worth of L’ange products and they all did nothing, they were actually terrible. I bought a curling wand and a brush which by accident I ordered two of the same brushes and multiple treatment products! They would not take the second brush back or any of the products. So I was only able to send the terrible wand back at half the price I paid for it including the shipping back. They are a total scam and I was so pissed I trashed the crap I was left with! Lesson learned and never again! I truly believe they are a complete scam! I believe those happy L’ange customers are simply people who were given free product to promote or paid to push them!

Virginia Jorda: I have tried literally dozens of shampoo/conditioner/leave ins/ glossers. Absolutely nothing works for me like biolage for color treated hair. I don't color my hair! I really should stop trying new stuff! In the end I've spent so much more! I will say, they did away with their agave conditioner spray and have coconut spray which literally sucks the life out of my hair. I think Olaplex is maybe the only line I need to try before throwing in the towel.

Jewel Lusher: Just now seeing this. I do use Lange but what has helped me the most is their Detox shampoo which has allowed my hair to grow very fast. First time ever in 65 years! I do use some of their other products. Do like the mask/conditioners. I have such fine baby hair and mine is not near as thick or as much as yours. I do like the purple bath. If there is something better without making it limp and flat I would love it!

Lit S: Such a great review! Really useful. I wasn’t sure if I should buy the Living Proof product vut after your review I will. I recommend Davines scrub shampoo and Milk Reverie hair cream. Have you used Briogeo products?

Cady Lynn Oregel: Pureology hydrate is the only shampoo/conditioner I will invest in. It makes my very finicky color last so long and my super sensitive scalp never gets irritated. Worth every single penny ! You

Carol W: The original Pureology was awesome. Since L’Oreal purchased it the quality it is not as good. I could tell something changed before I even knew they were sold. My favorite brand now is Kevin Murphy. It is way better for your hair than Pureology.

Kat Akiko: wow...thanks so much for this review! I know the Instagram hair dresser you're referring to and was literally about to pull the trigger on these same products so I'm happy that I came across this video before!

Jamie Ingels: I'm a licensed cosmetologist. I've had access to ALL of the best hair products for 15 years. I switched to using plain old bar soap for a long distance hike a few years ago, and I've never looked back. I use a vinegar rinse once every 2 weeks to cut out any build up, but my hair grows like a weed now. Texture is the best it's ever been. My hair is also 12 inches longer than I was ever able to grow it before I switched to bar soap, and it's not quitting.
