Hello and howdy, my name is erin of essentia aaron and welcome or welcome back to my channel. So today we are going to be doing another review. This is a brand that's been around for a while, but they've primarily been in the skincare game. Lately they have been delving into the hair care product world and i'm super excited today to be reviewing the hair care line from the ordinary. Now, dcm, products or deciem, i've heard it pronounced a couple different ways: aka the ordinary, like i said it's primarily been delving into the skincare game, that's where they really made a name for themselves. I use several ordinary products in my skincare routine, they're great because they kind of boil down all of the fluff and get you straight to the actual chemical components of the skin care products that you're buying for significantly more money from other competitors and they're selling them To you at a fraction of the price, so ordinary products have been really great from a skin care perspective, so i'm really excited to try their hair care line. I also purchased their multi peptide serum for hair density um. As you guys all know, i have fine low density hair. I lose a lot of hair because of my anxiety as well, so i'm excited to try this out, as i continue searching for something that helps me get some fuller hair before my wedding. This fall, but the two products that we're really going to be digging into today are going to be the ordinary hair care shampoo. This is a sulfate four percent cleanser for both body and hair, which is kind of interesting, a gentle cleansing formula for daily use - and this is the ordinary conditioner, the hentrimonium chloride, we'll see two percent conditioner. It'S a lightweight conditioning formula. Both of these products are fragrance. Free, so, if you're looking for an affordable option, this is definitely a good one. I believe they retail at sephora for 16.99 per bottle. You get a an 8.1 fluid ounce bottle, so you get a good amount of money for that cost. Now this shampoo specifically calls out on the bottle that it is a sulfate four percent cleanser for body and hair formulated to remove skin and scalp buildup. As you all know, i do not follow the curly girl methods, so sulfates do not necessarily bother me, especially in a shampoo because they get rinsed out. I don't find them to be super drying for my hair in particular, but as i've said in previous videos, you do you if you don't want to use something with sulfates. I definitely understand, however, today i'm gon na be trying these out, for you guys and we're gon na talk through it, because this specifically does call out that it's formulated to remove skin and scalp buildup. I would assume that it's on the same level as a clarifying shampoo, so definitely not something that you might want to use every day until you find out whether or not you're gon na think it's drying for your hair. As far as the conditioner, it specifically says offers conditioning and smoothing benefits for the hair, it doesn't say anything about it being able to double as a leave-in, because it does specifically call out you having to rinse it in the actual description. However, so do a lot of other conditioners, so i'm wondering whether or not it can still be used as a leave-in um. However, today i'm just gon na wash and rinse with both of these products. I did get a comment on a previous video, where i only reviewed a shampoo and conditioner, and they said that they didn't like that. They couldn't see what my hair felt like without any products in it afterward. So today, i'm just going to use these two products. I am going to let my hair air dry and then i'm going to talk to you guys about the results. Personally, i can usually tell how my hair feels after i finish, washing and drying it before i style it. So it's not something that i necessarily need to style without products, but if it's something that you guys are interested in, when i only review a shampoo and conditioner, let me know in the comments um and that way i can keep. You know that style of video moving forward, but these are the two products that we're gon na try and let's jump in okay. So we are gon na try filming this way. Um and hopefully i don't make too much of a mess. I know this is gon na sound like a very terrible sentence, but i know several of you have actually requested that i show what these products look like in the shower, especially with how they like sud up on the hair and everything like that. So i'm going to try filming this way with the shower door open and see if it works it may or may not. So if all of a sudden, the video gets cut off halfway through that's, why um so yeah we're gon na go in with the cleanser first um, okay biggest pet peeve are when they don't have tabs. So you can't easily pull this off. Okay, it definitely doesn't smell like anything like it. Just smells clean and we've got the conditioner same type of annoying tab, yeah again, no scent all right. So let's try this foreign. Okay. Now that we are out of the shower, all i'm going to do is brush through my hair, so that i can form some good clumps, hopefully keep it moisturized. I'M gon na wring out my hair with a tea owl so that my shirt doesn't get soaked through and then i will come back and talk to you guys about the results one hour later. Okay, so it has been about hour and a half ish, and my hair is about 95 of the way dry and honestly, it feels really clean. So i definitely think that the shampoo is a clear like you would consider it a clarifying shampoo. I could feel my hair practically like squeaking in the shower. It was that clean um, but i don't know if y'all peeped my facial expression when i started using the conditioner, because the slip on that conditioner is one of the best i've ever had hands down that, like, oh, like my hands, were gliding through my hair instantly And i had that was like day eight, so i know i had plenty of tangles for that to get caught up in not an issue. The texture of it was super creamy. I loved how lightweight both the shampoo and the conditioner were. I did notice that i needed a little bit more shampoo to really get a good lather on my head than i would normally, but, like my hair feels probably slightly drier than usual. However, that could just be due to the lack of product. However, like you can see, it's still pretty shiny. I'Ve got some decent definition at the bottom, where i was able to detangle and get some good ringlets. My scalp, like all of this, is super lightweight like it's just oh, it feels really good and, like you know what you guys know if you've been here for a while that i'm a big proponent of like letting your hair go productless every couple of months and Just giving it some space to breathe, so i guess i'm doing that for this wash um. I do travel later this week, for my sister's wedding in houston so likelihood is. I will probably just spray it down and restyle right before i leave but yeah and that's it. That is my essentially honest review of the ordinary hair care, shampoo and conditioner. I did use this on my body as well and honestly, it just felt like really any other cleanser, nothing. You know crazy to write home about, but it is kind of cool that it's like a two in one, especially because if you are curly hair, then you know we will run out of conditioners significantly faster than we run out of shampoo. So this is a great way for you to kind of keep things even is double dipping in your shampoo. Like i said, i also picked up the multi peptide serum for hair density. This i'm going to start trialing um. Whenever i get back from the wedding, i'm going to start using this you're supposed to use it every day, you use it once daily. A few drops to the scalp, that's clean and dry, you massage it into the scalp thoroughly and then you leave it on there. Every day um, so i'm excited to start documenting how i feel about this. I'M probably going to do it for anywhere between one to three months, to give you guys a good actual, visual representation of whether or not it works. The trick, as is with most things with me, is remembering to do it. So i'm going to test out a couple of different processes: probably try setting, alarms or calendar events to remind myself to do it, but i am going to document this and give you guys a review on it in the future. If you guys liked today's review, if you have other products that you want me to try out for you guys and give my honest thoughts on, please remember to like comment subscribe every time you guys do it helps fund my ability to make more of these videos For y'all, i appreciate you being with me as we continue to go through this journey as we continue to grow, i'm so excited for all the content that i have coming up for you guys, especially when it comes to planning my wedding as we get closer and Closer, but for now continue essentially being yourself and i'll, see you next time,

Pandorica: I love the conditioner for the same reasons you said but I'm on the fence about the shampoo. I also had to use alot more than I usually would for a shampoo but my hair did feel super clean after. ‍♀️

Em-2013: Have you tried the curlsmith vitamins for your hair density? They are expensive but I have seen a difference in me growth length wise and also from the scalp, making my hair thicker. Worth the money for me ❤️

erin: Have u tried the wash on ur body
