Hi everyone welcome back to my channel and if you're new, my name is samantha, so today's video is about hair care and basically my hair routine, and how i take care of my ash brown hair. So if you guys did watch my quarantine glow up video, you guys will know that i got ash brown, hair and, of course, those of you who have dyed your hair will know that you have to bleach it and all that kind of stuff. It does get your hair very hoarse and dry, so i do want to just go through some products that i have that did work for me and didn't work for me, and hopefully this video will help you, especially if you guys are planning to get ash or Blonde hair, i'm going to start off with my favorite product ever and this was recommended to me by my hair stylist, and it is quite expensive. I'M just gon na say that right now and i will link everything in the description below this is a salon grade brand, so it is called finola, and this is how big the bottle is i'll put the price and everything down below. So this one is a thousand milliliters, it says here and this stuff works so good. This is the shampoo, it's the purple shampoo and then it pairs with this conditioner. So this doesn't have too much of a fragrance to it. But of course, if you have gotten your hair done at a salon, you kind of get that kind of aroma. So that's what this smells like and it works really. Well, i don't leave it in my hair for too long, it's kind of like i put it in my hair. I lather my body and then i wash it off, so i don't leave it for too long, not more than eight minutes. At least it does have instructions at the back here, but i didn't go through any of that. I have to say that this is probably one of the best shampoos that i have ever used. I find that it is maintaining my hair really well and toning. It one thing i have to say is that it does stain your cuticles. For me my entire palms were purple, but of course, as you finish showering and you use soap and body wash and all that kind of stuff, it does wash off. So, as you can see, i do have some stains on my fingers and my fingernails and i'll show you guys up close. So you guys get an idea and of course it does make your bathtub look very purple. So if you do have white curtains and all that kind of stuff, you will have to kind of wash it off before you leave. It is washable afterwards. So it's just something i wanted to, let you guys know and the conditioner that it comes with smells like coconuts. It is very smooth, not overpowering, and it does make your hair really really soft. So, of course the conditioner is white and the shampoo is a very liquidy purple. You can tell that the quality of it is really good because of how concentrated the purple is. It'S very very thick and concentrated it's something that doesn't really foam up and have those bubbles that you feel like you're, really lathering, it's just solid purple, so you really have to get it in between all the layers of your hair and that kind of stuff. For it to work really well, otherwise, if you just put it on the surface of your head, the layers underneath won't actually get toned. So i have to say that these are by far my most favorite combo of shampoo and conditioner, and it is by finola and of course, like i said i will leave the link down below and again. It is on the pricier side, but based on the bottle sizes and i've been using this since i got my hair done, which i will also leave somewhere on the screen too. I am probably only halfway now, if not just reaching halfway and it lasts quite a while with the purple shampoo that i just showed you guys, i probably use it every three days or once a week. Otherwise i just use like herbal essence. Basically something for colored hair, because you don't always need to tone it. Otherwise, your hair will start turning purple and it might happen mostly at the ends, because that's where all the lighter colors are for me drastically, comparing the fanola one, i just showed you. I actually bought this first before my vanilla, because the delivery was a lot longer and i wanted to get something just quick, so i could start using it right away. So this l'oreal paris, hair expertise, color radiance, purple shampoo. Unfortunately, this pair did not work for me. I feel like it just smelled a lot more fragrant and that's kind of all it was. It was just a smell that would make you feel, like you're, lathering, your hair and it's doing a lot of things, but it really didn't help tone. My hair at all and the smell was so strong for me that when i washed my hair at night time, it was really hard for me to go to sleep because of the smells, and it was just way too much. Also. I am a little bit more sensitive to fragrance perfumes and all that kind of stuff. If you are a little bit more sensitive. I would avoid this if you are looking for purple shampoo. Otherwise, if fragrance doesn't bother, you, then by all means you can get this, but in my opinion it didn't really tone my hair at all. I feel like it's just mixed with so much shampoo and lathering and not as concentrated and thick as this purple, one that i found that to the point where i found the money that i was spending on. This just wasn't really going anywhere for me. So unfortunately, this pair did not work for me and let me know if you guys actually have your own experience if it works for you or if you have the same experience as me. Next i have the l'oreal paris hair expertise. 8. Second, wonder water! So surprisingly, it is the same brand as a purple shampoo that i just said by l'oreal, and this actually works so well. My hair gets so naughty because it's so thick and when you're trying to brush your fingers through your hair in water, it just gets so tangled this one i actually use once a week and in between my shampoo and my conditioner. So after the shampoo, i rinse it all off, and i kind of put this from the roots to the end. I kind of just do like a w shape all over my head and they do have a little measuring for you to use so you're, basically using 20 mls every time, and you don't need too much, but because my hair is so thick. I kind of just use a little bit more than what is recommended, which i don't mind and this actually works. They do mention that if you do put it on your scalp, you will feel a little bit burning sensation, but that's just the product activating. So i just kind of avoid my scalp, i kind of put it from here to the ends of my hair and after you rinse this off guys. It is so smooth your fingers just run through your hair and it actually makes a difference so this product. I would say is well worth the money, especially because your hair gets so like dry and hey like from all the bleaching and toning and all of that, and it really does make a difference. So this one, i would give a 10 out of 10 and would actually recommend to other people. Of course i have straight hair and i don't know what this would do with people who do have a little bit more of a natural curls um. Do your research before you use it, but if you do have similar hair like myself, then definitely i would recommend, and there is actually a big difference so the last product i want to talk to you guys about. Is this really really old bottle? It'S called the bio silk silk therapy and this bottle is so old that it's like turning yellow at the top, but i got this years ago. It'S probably expired, but i am still using it and it genuinely works so well. I'Ve dyed my hair since high school or even elementary school. I don't know the first time i dyed my hair. I had like a combination of red, pink and blue highlights, and i just remember that day so vividly my mom didn't want me to get it, but the hairdresser was like oh come on she's, so young, let her do it, and that was like the first time. I ever dyed my hair and since that time i've dyed my hair consistently even until now, because that is so damaging to my hair. I found that this bio silk i'll link the description down below because i think they might have new bottles. Now i got this many many years ago. Basically i do this after i finish showering, so i'm blow drying my hair and i make sure it's either damp or completely dry and that i put a lot on the palm of my hands. I just rub it through my fingers and comb it through. So i don't put any on my scalp because you're going to get a really oily scalp, but basically um this part and below i just kind of do the entire thing, usually right before bed. I don't like putting this in my hair in the morning after washing my hair, because you're going to go outside you're going to do stuff and i feel like if you have long thick hair, you will know when you're going out and about dust gets stuck in Your hair, you know how like, when you go like that and then like a ton of dust, just comes out because your hair just traps so much. So i don't like using this in the morning because you're gon na be doing so much stuff and i feel like dust and all that kind of stuff will stick to this product. So i normally wash my hair before i go to bed so that it's kind of acting like a mask. When i go to sleep and by the time i wake up, it's so soft nothing gets stuck, you don't feel the split ends and anything like that, and this is literally my holy grail if you do dye your hair and it's very like that coarse feeling - and It'S really dry, just put this on it even after you blow dry your hair, it's just so much softer and so easy to comb through. I have been using it for so long as you can tell. I said i've had it for years and i have this much left, so i don't need to use this every time even once a month or something like that. I tend to use it. Maybe every two weeks just because my hair gets really knotted, and i don't like that feeling. This is my last product that i have to share with you guys and i have to say that i recommend everything that i have shown, except obviously um. The combination of this one, because i just don't think you're getting a bang for your buck at all and because of the smell, i'm not really enjoying how i feel after using it. I kind of like break a sweat, because the fragrance is just so strong. Basically, with the l'oreal ones, i think this will work best if you actually have like blonde blonde hair or platinum blonde. For me with the darker hair, this one probably just isn't working as well as i would hope, but yeah. For me, this one doesn't work so, like i said again, if you do have similar hair to me your best, but it's probably the fanola one that i mentioned first and if you have blonde platinum, blonde hair, you could give this a try if you aren't afraid Of like that, really strong fragrant smell, so that is it for this video. I hope you guys enjoyed it. I just wanted to share what i do with my hair and how i treat the ash brown and the toning and all of that kind of stuff, especially because i've dyed my hair from a very young age. It'S so unhealthy and i feel, like my hair, is actually doing pretty well considering the amount of times that i've dyed it so because this kind of worked for me. I really wanted to share with those of you who are planning to get ash brown or just ash in general, and, of course, if you guys haven't already, it would mean so much to me if you guys would hit that subscribe button. The notification bell and i'll see you guys in my next video

Samantha Mok: Hope you guys enjoy this video! I am now super committed to these products and they’re my holy grail! What are some of your favourite must have hair care products/brands?

Leanza Tang: Purple shampoo is the way to go! I've had balayage to ombre back to balayage for 5 years and you can defs feel the dryness over time! However using the right treatments regularly will help strengthen and nourish your hair, so glad to see you are taking care of it! *Haha I think because I'm a hairdresser so I think it's worth to spend a bit on aftercare because you already spend so much coloring it! I love your hair color, makes me wanna freshen mine up but salons here are booked out with a long waiting list! Thank you for sharing this girl

COLEEN CARRETERO: Hair care definitely necessary!! I can see it really does good for your hair! Considering it’s been bleach a lot, it still look so healthy! Thank you for sharing your hair care secret

Validyk: Omg Biosilk!! My mom loves that stuff!! She swears by it! Lol we used to use koolaid because my mom said we couldn’t dye our hair and then I started buying box dye whew I looked a mess

channelDJ: Hi Sam, just catching up with your video now... but I love your ASH BROWN hair, it suits you! I don't have ash brown hair but regardless enjoyed going through your haircare routine hope you have great rest of the week!

Mary LVee Lux: Sam first thing first is CONGRATULATIONS for reaching 2K you truly deserves it and I will continuously support your channel (by not skipping ads ). You look so good with your hair color it really suits you. I need do an appointment with my hair stylist and thank you for your recommendations. hope your enjoying the weekend and take care.

Amy Trumbull: I like my hair very ash so the Fanola is a must have….definitely the very best for toning and maintaining blonde to bronde hair! It’s amazing. I co-wash my hair every other time too to avoid drying my hair out with any shampoo. I use the PuraD’or cleansing conditioner and it makes me hair so soft, frizz free and shiny, it’s better than most deep conditioner that I’ve tried. So glad I found it. Thanks for the video, nice job and tips!

HaPpy CaPsuLe: Hmm sounds interesting, I will get my hair done soon and thank you for sharing this product. I’m gonna need thisEnjoy the rest of your weekend Samantha

Missy at Home: Love the color of your hair, if I were to dye my hair I will probably use the same color, thanks for sharing these products!

Validyk: I love your hair, it looks so natural, did you balayage it? That’s the one thing I couldn’t stand about purple shampoo, i used it for a good year every once a week and now my hair is brassy probably cause I stopped using it.

Just Alice T: This is a great review vid! Will help a lot of people! I never died my hair and literally only use 2 products!

Crishya: Hi there lovely! Bleaching your hair really ruins it:( I know how bad it did to me! Your hair grew so much???? Wow?? Thank you for sharing these products, Bio Silk is great!!! I love it also!

Phyllis xoxo: Yepppp, I’m actually kinda obsessed with great hair products. I tend to buy too many and changing too often!

Murielle: Hi Samantha! I love the colour of your hair! It is the perfect colour for you. Thank you for your video, that was interesting, I did not know the brands. As for me, I have to be very cautious with the products I use for my hair because I usually get allergies with shampoos we find in supermarkets. I have a sensitive scalp. Therefore, I buy my shampoo at my hairdresser's. The brand is Kerastase, Dermo calm cleansing soothing shampoo. Once a week I mix it with a purple shampoo by L'Oreal professionnel, série expert , Açai polyphenols blondifier cool. I also use a conditioner after my shampoo. I buy it at the chemist's. The brand is Klorane , ultra gentle conditioner with oat milk.

Kita Petkova: Thank you girl very helpful!

Amelia Rose's Closet: I would LOVE thicker hair!!

Helena DM ❤🐝: I prefer blue shampoo, Fanola to be specific. No other toner shampoo left my scalp clean. Soft water is also important, I rinse with a Brita can. Iron and copper in water can oxidate in hair and the buildup can turn red overtime. It also makes hair break overtime. My hair is a lot shinier and cleaner since I rinse with Brita. Avoid toning conditioner. You would have to apply it to your roots too and that is a bad idea because conditioner in roots makes hair so so greasy. Tried it, and cried.

It’s Chex: Your hair is absolutely gorgeous! I would love to see if these will help out my daughter's hair. Thanks for sharing dear =)

maggyxchuu: You look so good with the ashy/taupe brown my hair is too thin to take anymore bleach so I’m just boring brown lololll

Kristine J Tigue: Thank you for sharing <3

DREAM BAG: Congratulations on 2k!!!!

Scrilla Bee: Do you have any recommendations for clarifying shampoo safe for your hair? I have about the same color as you and I’m also using Fanola :) but I need a clarifying shampoo

Jessica Zhang: Yea the second one didnt work for me either

Amy's Lifestyle: thats good to know. btw ash brown suit you very well

Sumbul Amir: Love your hair
