Relaxed Hair Care: Relaxed Hair Wash Day Routine, Relaxed Hair Products & Relaxed Hairstyle Keracare

Hey friends, thanks for tuning in again this week for another video., if you're new here welcome to my channel The Relaxed Afro., My name is Chanel and this is going to be a relaxed hair wash day vlog., i'm going to be shampooing, my hair with the nairobi Exquisite hydrating, detangling, shampoo and deep conditioning with the nairobi, humecta Sil, moisture, replenishing conditioner.. I poured some of the shampoo into this smaller bottle, just so that it's easier to manage.. So this video is basically a continuation from last week., so i did an overnight oil treatment, and so my hair has a lot of oil in it., I'm being sure to rinse it well before i apply the shampoo to my hair. So because of all the oil That i have in my hair, the shampoo wasn't sudding up as much for the first wash., but i usually shampoo my hair about two or three times, depending on the kind of shampoo i'm using and the instructions on the nairobi shampoo says you should wash two times For the best results., so that's what i'm going to be doing here. so by the second round of shampooing. You can see that it's nice and suddy and i'm just focusing the shampoo on my scalp. after i'm finished, then i just drag it down the length of my hair and then i just rinse it out really well.. This shampoo usually leaves my hair very soft and detangled, but it is a sulfate shampoo.. The main surfactant in this shampoo is ammonium laureth sulfate and that's one of the most gentle sulfates out there.. That'S why this shampoo doesn't strip the hair.. It also has many other ingredients that help in hydrating the hair as well all while it's being shampooed., the nairobi brand has several conditioners, and this one, the nairobi humecta sil, is their moisture replenishing conditioner.. I really like it for my fine hair, because it's just so smooth and my hair, basically just sucks it up., like i put it on and where is the conditioner like what? Where how it's gone? I love it. So if you have fine hair, you might like this as well, so to help in getting the hair all moisturized. This conditioner has castor oil, aloe vera leaf juice, dimethicone hydrolyzed vegetable protein.. It also has vitamin b5 and mineral oil among other ingredients.. Now some of the preservatives are also like that in the shampoo., so it does have dmdm hydantoin and disodium EDTA as well., but if again those aren't issues for you, then definitely give it a try.. So once all my conditioner is in, i just cover my head with a plastic bag, and then i'm going to leave it on as per the instructions for 15 minutes., so taking off that plastic bag. My hair is just so soft and malleable.. I could definitely detangle my hair now, if i wanted to, but i generally don't detangle my hair with conditioner.. I just try to keep the detangling while i'm washing my hair to a minimum.. Today, i'm going to be testing out this Keracare setting lotion for the first time.. The directions say that you should apply to freshly shampooed conditioned and towel blotted hair.. I diluted my setting lotion and basically just put it in this mousse foam bottle that i had, because the instructions went on to say do not over saturate. This formula is concentrated for best results. Only a small amount should be applied. Comb through and proceed to set. Hair. so next week, i'm going to show you in details how i roller set my hair, but for this time i just used the Keracare setting lotion, because i really wanted to see how well it works on its own.. It had some pretty big claims saying that it moisturizes hair while infusing it with luxurious volume. It contains moisturizers to eliminate dryness and freezing and a host of other benefits.. So i thought that, in order to see how well my hair reacts to this, i'm just going to be using it on its own and then i'll know how going forward. and, as you can see, it had a really nice hold and the curls were really soft.. So i was pleasantly surprised., so after taking down each roller, i did some pin curls because my hair wasn't 100 % dry and i don't think i could sleep in these rollers.. So i just take the hair and basically twirl it around my fingers. Then i use a bobby pin to secure it in place., so the next day was sunday and i basically just wore my hair in a turban kind of thing and you know just tried to look cute.. So i didn't take on my pin curls down until monday. As i'm getting ready for work. i'm using this ors, olive oil heat protectant, shine spray.. I really like how smooth and flowy it keeps my hair when i want to wear my hair down, and so i'm just using that as my oil in this case., oh, and that oil serum smells amazing., it smells like a bath and body works, perfume or something.. So now i'm just styling my hair, my little center part just turning into a side, part today., detangling and just basically shaping my hair for it to look presentable.. Now i'm using the orsolive oil mousse just a little bit to tame my flyaways, because it's been a day or two since i combed my hair. and yeah just smooth down those edges, a little bit. shape my hair, some more and we're out the door. yeah..
