Hi guys welcome back to another video. So today I am gon na be sharing some of my favorite hair tools and hair hacks for achieving a long, healthy hair. So these aren't really gon na be styling tools or anything like that. They'Re more just things that have made my life a lot easier over the years when it comes to achieving and maintaining healthy hair. So I'm just gon na jump straight into the video and I hope you enjoy it so. First up I have my hair towel turban. I absolutely love this thing. It has completely saved my head. Basically, when my hair is wet, it's really really heavy and then, when I wrap it in a regular towel, it feels like. I have a ton of bricks on my head. It really really hurts so I was having a lot of neck pain and my scalp would always hurt because you'll be pulling up my hairline. So when I switched to using a hair towel turban, it completely changed everything. The one that I use is by the brand Aquos and they just had really good reviews. So that's why I bought their hair towels, but it's big enough to fit my long hair. It just has a little button and loop that closes it, and apparently this cuts. Your drying time in half by 50 %, I'm not sure how accurate that is, but it definitely definitely absorbs a lot of water and makes my drying time a lot quicker and a really absorbent towel. Turban is also really good for reducing breakage, because you're not going to use a lot of friction to dry your hair, so yeah. I just absolutely love my towel turban and I will never be without one, and I even have my name monogrammed on this one. So nobody's gon na steal this from me and another favorite tool for healthy hair is a water filter for your shower, and I recommend using a water filter just for your health in general. But a really really great benefit of using one is help your hair and healthier skin because it filters out impurities and chlorine, and you know things that will strip the moist from your hair and your skin. And I notice a big difference when I just shower in regular water compared to showering with my filter. Actually before I had a filter, I would get kind of itchy skin after I showered. But now I don't get that anymore and my hair is definitely a lot softer. I mean I've been using a shower filter for years, but it I definitely notice a difference, so the shower filter I currently use is by the Browns sprite and I bought it because it had good reviews and I really liked the look of it. It'S a two-in-one. So it's the shower filter built into the showerhead. So I like that it wasn't too big and clunky looking. I liked the Chrome and I liked the different shower settings on it, but there's a lot of different shower filters out there. So just kind of do your research and find one that you think would work best for you. So next step is the brushes that I use and if you've been following me for a while you'll know that I love using a wooden brush to brush my hair. So wooden bristle brushes are really really great for massaging the scalp and stimulating circulation to the scalp. They are really great for distributing your hairs, natural oils throughout your hair, to help condition your hair, and it just feels so nice to brush your hair with the wooden brush and I'm not gon na go too in depth into wooden brushes in this video. Because I do have a full blog post, as well as a video on wooden brushes, so I'll just link that down below. But I do love my wooden brushes and when my hair is wet, I brush it with a detangler brush and a detailer brush is basically a brush that has really really flexible bristles. So when your hair is wet, it's not going to be really harsh and you know, break your hair and I know a lot of people say: don't brush your hair when it's wet because it's more prone to breakage, but I absolutely need to brush my hair when It'S wet, if I don't um, when it dries, it just looks really horrible, so I always brush it out and I've never had a problem with breakage, but I'm very, very gentle, like I start at the ends - and I just worked my way up and I don't Force any knots out, I'm very, very gentle with it, and I've never had a problem with breakage, but detangler brushes are great because they're, just very, very gentle, on the hair. Now, next up, I have something kind of random, but it's made my life so much easier when making do-it-yourself hair masks and that is an immersion blender. I like to use a lot of avocados and bananas in my hair masks because it's very hydrating and moisturizing for the hair, but when you just mash them with a fork, it doesn't get it completely smooth and then you end up with chunks of food. Basically, in your hair and it's really hard to wash out and before I was using a regular blender, but you need to have a certain amount of liquid for it to blend properly and I always hated cleaning the mask out between the blades. It'S really fast to use it blends the masks so well and it's easy to clean up, which is a huge plus for me yeah. I love my little immersion blender and this one is by KitchenAid. I will link the one I have down below, but I am so happy with it and it's made my life so much easier when it comes to do-it-yourself, hair care. So next step I have my hot Headz deep conditioning thermal cap and I absolutely love this thing. It has completely changed my deep conditioning routine. I really love to do deep conditioning treatments like my avocado and coconut milk hair mask. But if you keep your hair warm while doing a deep conditioning treatment, you will get much better results. So I was looking for a heat cap of some sort, so I originally looked on Amazon, but everything on there was filled with that gel and I really didn't want that. So then, I looked on Etsy one of my favorite sites in the world and I came across this company called hot Headz thermal hair care and they make these handmade they're just filled with flax seeds, so they're more natural. So the fox seeds hold in the heat - and I just love these so much they work so well. They come in a bunch of different colors and I have two because this is their original size and this is their extra-large size and I wasn't quite sure what size I would need. The extra large kind of fits my hair better. But, to be honest, I could have just gotten away with the regular, so I think 99.9 % of people can get away with the regular. Unless you have super super long, thick, hair and the flax seeds hold the heat really well, I can get about 15 to 30 minutes out of the cap and then, if it cools down - and you need to use it for longer - you can just reheat it. It'S really easy to use. You just apply your deep conditioner and then you put on some sort of reusable shower cap, something to protect this from getting dirty and then you've warmed us up in the microwave. It'S about the only thing I use my microwave for and then you put that on your head and let it deep conditioned for. However long you want, I usually do 30 to 45 minutes and yeah. It'S just really really awesome. So I love my little flaxseed hot Headz heat mask and then, of course I have to mention my silk pillow and silk bonnet, because these are wonderful for reducing breakage. Using a silk or satin, pillow or bonnet is really great because they just allow your hair to kind of glide over the fabric. It'S not, as I guess, rough as cotton and it doesn't absorb as much moisture as cotton, it just glides so soft and when I sleep with my silk pillow or bonnet when I wake up, my hair is feels so smooth. It'S not frizzy. It'S really soft, and it just makes the world of a difference for me. So if you're trying to maintain a hair style overnight or just want to prevent breakage, then I really really recommend you get yourself either a still cursed, satin, pillowcase or bonnet, and it took me a while to find a bonnet that was appropriate for long hair, because My hair would always just slip right out of it, so I have this one, and it has these nice ties that you can really fasten it quite tight to your head and my hair never falls out. So I really love this and I also use this under my winter hats to prevent head head. So I love them and I do have a full video on protective sleep hairstyles, which I will link down below, and I talked a little bit about these in that video and then another one of my favorite tools for healthy hair is my humidifier. This thing has been saving my hair this winter, a humidifier is great because it just puts moisture back in the air. So if you use a lot of indoor heating or maybe live in a really dry climate, it'll just help prevent your hair and your skin from drying out. So I've been using this all winter long. I just put it on at night and let it run through the night, and I think it's really been helping to just keep that moisture in my hair. So if you have really dry hair, you might want to try out using a humidifier. It might help bring some of that moisture back and I love mine, especially during the winter. It'S really really nice. Now next up is a sharp set of hair cutting shears. So I these to cut my split ends and I absolutely love cutting my split ends. I think it's so fun. I think it's very relaxing, but I just kind of scan through my hair and whenever I see split ends, I just give it a little trim and cutting your own split ends is really important. If you're trying to grow your hair out, because if your hair starts splitting and fraying it's just gon na look really unhealthy and then you're gon na have to get a bigger cut. So I just kind of keep on top of it and I always love to cut my own split ends and then, of course, I love my good old claw clip. These are really good for securing your hair in a bun for kind of a protective hairstyle. So what I do is I just twist my hair on top of my head and then I use the claw clip and I just secure it so a lot of the time when I'm just hanging out at home. I have my little claw clip in my bun and I love it so at night, if I'm wearing my hair in a braid, I will usually use a silk or satin scrunchie, and these are just really smooth on the hair. So it's not going to be very tight. It'S not gon na break your hair off and then another type of hair tie. That'S really great for preventing breakage as well as kinks. Is these little stretchy hair ties and I'll actually put my hair in a braid and show you so I just so see it just kind of holds it in place like that and it doesn't leave as big of a kink as a regular hair tie. So that's pretty cool and then another little tool or hair hat. That I love is the Topsy tail tool and just a little loop looking thing, but it does something really cool. So I'm going to show you. So if you are wanting to finish off your braid, I just put a braid in my hair. Then what you do you just take the Topsy tail tool and put it in the back of the elastic like that, and then you take one of the longer strands of your hair and then you wrap it around the elastic to cover the elastic, and then you Loop, it through the Topsy tail and then you take the Topsy tail and go like this pull it through and then you have a finished end. It just looks so much better, so this tool is awesome, so this doesn't really make your hair healthier per say, but it's a really cool tool and a really cool hair hack. So I had to add it in because it's just one of my favorite tools for hair and then another little tool or hack that helps me. A cheap, healthy hair is a little eyedropper, a little glass eyedropper and the reason I say this is because using an eyedropper to apply oils to your scalp is so much easier because it really gets into the roots compared to, if you're, just using your fingers and Applying the oil, so you know I just reuse droppers that I get from certain products or you know you can probably find one other store to buy, but you can really just kind of get into the scalp and distribute that oil. So it's kind of a little random thing, but I just noticed that it really makes coiling my hair a lot easier, so yeah little eyedropper. So those are a few of my favorite tools and hair hacks. I really hope you enjoyed the video, and maybe you learn something new and feel free to follow me on Instagram. If you want to see more hair content, because I post a lot there, I love you guys, and I will see you in my next video bye

Taiyeba ✨: Its you who introduced me and to this day, kept me hooked to the natural and holistic way of living. You always give me inspiration to earn a lot and get rich so that I can have all the products you suggest from my own earnings. Wierd but true.

Farwa Batool: Your Hair and skin tips are amazing !! You have change my life i used to have really frizzy hair but after watching your video i start oiling my hair and doing apple cider vinegar rinse and now my hair are so soft and they feel so amazing and for my skin i started doing oil cleansing (i didn't knew about this method before and was so shocked after watching your oil cleansing video) and honey masks, now my skin feels great i feel my alive its because of you i have started eating healthy food too you really have change my life thank you Sooo Much Sarah !!! You are my inspiration and my ideal (PS sorry for my grammar mistakes,Not a english speaker)

mnbvcxy: Sarah!! I love this video, you have such a calming aura and vibe- I absolutely love that. Thank you, also, for the many helpful tips! I just have to say this: Please make a ASMR video, your voice is just perfect for it- totallyyyy relaxes me :)

Magosienne: Yes for Tek hair brushes, mine has definitely improved my scalp and hair conditions, I am slightly obsessed with it. I also use scrunchies to tie my hair, mine is so fine I actually buy the kid stuff. I also noticed fine oils like macadamia or argan work better than heavier oils like coconut or castor to maintain my lengths.

Sarah Coons: Loved these tips thank you so much! Trying to grow my hair out so I'll be using some of these! Also, would love to see a video on makeup details for this exact look - stunning!!!

A Goth Named Wednessday: I'd like to take this moment to talk about how much I love my teletie hair ties (the coil ones). So one of the big appeals for me is that i can wear them around my wrist without cutting off my circulation and I like to fiddle with them. In fact they are so great for that that my boyfriend wears them on his wrists (cause he used to have long hair, but misses the feeling of hair ties around his wrist). They also feel so good on my hair, they're so easy to use, and they're very pretty. They're honestly so good, and I'm so thankful for the ones I have.

Charity Earner: Hi Sarah! Love your channel and love all your awesome natural life hacks. Especially your healthy hair hacks, I’m a hairstylist and don’t really like mainstream products. I recommendations a lot of what I’ve learned from you to my clients, and they come back saying thank you. Your energy is bright and warm and you are very inspirational and knowledgeable. I wanted to thank you

Aya Ibrahim: Love yaaaa Sarah, that was super relaxing and soothing. I guess you should do a hair brushing asmr video using a wooden brush. Who else would love her to do an ASMR video? ❤️❤️

spidermiss2426: You are actually the reason why I have a wooden brush!! And I convinced my roommate to get a wooden comb for his hair and his beard. He loves his wooden comb!

,,: I love her videos, her tips for healtier hair are precious. And she just give me a sense of calm, peace end positive vibes

Harli Smith: Water quality has a major impact on hair. For 15 years, I only washed my hair with our well water (which contained a lot of minerals and other properties). Even though I took extremely hot showers, my hair showed no sign of damage. After moving to another area where well water was unavailable and chemically treated water was our only option, I immediately noticed the change in my hair. I now have to use multiple products that were unnecessary before. I will definitely be giving the filter a try!

Rosie: Thank you Sarah. I have tried so many of the products you have recommended over the years and they are always brilliant. I love the tek brush I have, and Lotus Wei is AMAZING, plus your honey and mangosteen/acai berry/cinnamon etc masks are lovely. My hair is almost down to my ass now and very lush, I am very appreciative of the information you share with us!

Sarah Fourtner: We have the same name! That’s so awesome! I love your videos so much and they’re helping me in the process of growing my hair back out after I completely shaved it off 6 months ago!

Oh, for clucks sake!: It's like an ASMR video I've struggled for the past 3 years with scalp issues..think I've figured it out and my hair looks heaps better!

A Goth Named Wednessday: I started using a wooden brush because of your suggestion, and I love it. I can really tell the difference, and it's really helping me extend my wash cycle. I have been washing my hair 1-2 times per week for years now, but I do get a lot of build up towards the end of my weeks, and the wooden brush is such a game changer! Thank you so much for your videos

Kuinoaaa: I have very long hair, very similar to yours and these tips are definitely going to help me, especially the hair towel turban. I love your videos they are so helpful for hair!

Trista Noelle: Yay! I missed you <3 I hope you're doing well Sarah! ALSO that hair hack for braids tho, that's amazing. I wear a side braid almost every day so this is perfect!

bhangtan ninja: LOVE YOU! Thanks for always having my back with your tips and advice! Love you for sharing it with us ♡♡♡

Hannah: It brings me soooooo much joy and relaxation to watch your videos thank you so much for creating such amazing content!

Tracy: I found a TEK brush on Amazon and I freaking LOVE it. I had no idea how different a wooden bristle brush would be. There’s no dragging or pulling, it just slides through my hair and it doesn’t leave my hair flat like my boar bristle brush. Thank you!

RockTransistor: You are my hair guru <3 I just donated 40 cm of my hair, so I need to grow it long again, but I hope your tips will help to maybe grow it a little faster and healthier!

ok youtube: Your videos are just so relaxing. I am watching them again after my WFH these days and it just instantly puts me in unwinding mode! Please make more and more and take care.

Hermione Granger: Quick question: does your hair ever gets tangled?

Zuzanna1919: On the side of products for hair, this video was so relaxing, gave me tingles and total asmr vibes. Thank you, thank you

tota tota: Love your videos!! I just found your channel you’re amazing! Thank you for the tips !! I have used a towel turban but since my hair grew I didn’t know big ones existed You’re right the chlorine is terrible for hair I should get one I’ve always used a wooden brush it feels amazing from the body shop The detanagler brush DOES HELP and yes thank you for saying its ok to brush hair while wet i was worried about that Yes !!!!!! I use the vitamix for my hair masks but will be using emersion blender from now on ! (I use avocado, banana and papaya) Omg yes !!! I’ve been using a steamer but wasn’t convenient i should definitely use the hot cap instead I do need a silk pillow the cotton pillows leave my hair dry and frizzy the next morning The humidifier is amazing for skin too i love it i always use it I was really aggravated with split ends i thought it was because my hair was unhealthy but you gave me hope. I’ll start doing it more I love the topsy tail !!!! Its so beautiful like that Ps. You’re so beautiful and your voice is so soothing. You made my day ‍♀️

Um Banaat: Finally a vid that doesnt repeat what ALL the other vids say. Thanks for the unique tips!

Sarojini Vikram: Hi Sarah! Love from India ❤️ I have been following you since a very long time and I absolutely love your tips I just wanted to know that earlier your hair was frizzy in older videos while now it's completely straight.. do you use any hair straightener or heat brushes because I have frizzy hair too.. please do reply as it would be a great help for me thank you ❤️

Nancy Davis: Beware of that blue beautifly scalp oil. I used it for a while and it caused extreme dryness on my ends, noticeable breakage and brittle split ends. The company told me it was probably due to the essential oils. Just be very careful with this product. It caused significant damage to my hair.

LovelyTheresa1: I got so much tingles with this video. Your voice is so soothing. Could you make at least 1 ASMR video?

Jaimary Jaimes: Hello Sarah!! I love so much your videos and this one even more. I was wondering if you could create a video of your skincare routine if you have an updated skincare routine. I would love to watch it. lots of love <3

Anna's sweet life: Few weeks ago, I bought the TEK brush because you recommend it and it is amazing!!!

Kayla: Always such a treat whenever you upload a hair care video!

oncloudanna: I'm so glad you mentioned brushing when wet/damp. The internet makes it seem like a sin! I do the exact same thing and it works for me as well :)

AlyLaRose: When I switched to a silk pillow it for real changed my hair's life, I stopped waking up with cowlicks behind my head, my hair has 99% less split ends and brakage, and is shinier. I thought of buying one but ended up going to my local fabric store and sewing a pillowcase myself, saving SO much money it is crazy. I will probably be suckerred into buying a wooden hairbrush just because your hair is so insane! I know you just are blessed with more health and better habits and nutrition, you have that healthy glow that Ive always known I just don't have, since being a child I would stare at healthy people and have an internal dialogue about me just not being allowed to have that. I would resent my parents for not knowing what being healthy was or how to keep their child truly healthy, not just alive but thriving. If we were two identical trees but planted in seperate gardens, you would be the tree that is thriving, tall and lush and green whereas I would be alive but barely making it, undergrown, barely making leaves and with dead branches.

ruth b: Your hair is goals!!! I've been doing so much lately, for hair growth. I'm definitely going to give some of these a try thanks for the upload

Maeliss M: I would personally never use avocado for a hair mask. Have you seen the price of avocados?!!!

Marissa Sharp: Yay!!!! A new Sarah video!!! My day is MADE! Just love your gorgeous hair and all these tips! I could watch you do hair videos all day! I have such thin hair I’d be happy if you even gave me half of it...or a third. ‍♀️ You have such a relaxing voice! Such a nice stress relief during my day! God bless you❣️

abby rose: - get a hair cut when you start seeing split ends - try massaging castor oil/coconut oil onto roots and ends every 2-3 days - no heat - no hair dye - only wash when feels oily/dirty - silk pillowcase - use Nexxus shampoo & conditioner - Use shampoo brush - brush from ends to roots, not roots to ends (unnecessary stress on roots) - gentle hair ties & hairbrush (scrunchies & Wet brush) - stay hydrated & eat healthy - take biotin supplement daily

Sylwia T.: Sarah I love you ! You cracked me up with this food blender. Thank you for making me smile today.

Natalia Regina: Hello - yes I always used banana and avocado! the past year I haven't been giving my hair the time or love I used to and am just so happy to be getting back into it! I fully agree about the blender and trying to clean between the blades! - recently bought a hand stick blender for this reason so funny I should see it here in your video! Thank you for the other tips - do prefer the natural hair methods, modern life is so full of additives I like the ritual of self care and peaceful time for hair I think it's very powerful. Hope your well. thankyou for your uploads!

Sophie Jayne: Honestly love your videos so so much! They always remind me why I started Youtube as well, as I remember watching your early one health related videos and being obsessed! New I wanted to do something similar but was way too scared for a while haha finally did it and it was one of the best things ive ever done! Anywaaaay long comment but basically just thank you for being a constant inspiration xx

Marleen G.: I brush my hair after it comes out the towel with a wet brush dupe that I got from my local discounter. They call it a "shower brush" and sell it for 1 euro. You can't beat that. I have back-ups, you better believe it. I have fingertip length wavy hair and I haven't noticed any breakage yet in all the years I've been doing this.

Annisa Nur Rahmi: Hi, I really love your hair. Actually i just find your youtube channel yesterday, and then i was suddenly falling in love with your hair because it's so long and healthy. Can you please share or make a video about your haicare routine and what products did you use ? I'm really curious about it. Thanks ;)

Bekycheppy: I love watching these kinds of videos, but at the same time it can be upsetting I am 18 years old I have scarring alopecia. My body rejects the hair follicles on my scalp and damages them until the follicles are completely scarred over. As a kid I was so obsessed with trying to grow long but when I was 7 the majority of my hair fell out, but eventually grew back. I thought that was all behind me but unfortunately not. I was constantly having severe scalp pain, when I was 12 I would have doctors appointments and every doctor told me that it was “just allergies” and told me to take antihistamines. Finally in 2017 I was diagnosed with Lichen Planopilaris. There is nothing I can do to stop my hair from falling out and nothing I can do to make it grow back. I just wish that I got to experience having long and full thick hair. Thankfully for me it has been slow progressing and I have been able to grow my hair long. Nobody can really see the damage caused from my alopecia, but I can feel it everyday, I can see it falling out more and more everyday. It is unbelievably painful, I’ve accepted that I will lose my hair, but I just wish I could do something for the pain.

Star Dust: You could make a hair video every single day and I’d never get bored because you have the most beautiful hair I’ve ever seen. All I want are tips on how to attempt having such healthy hair. Maybe someday.

Jess Ramsden: Please would you try a ASMR / guided sleep story video as the tone of your voice is lovely ☺️ I feel it’d fit into your aesthetic being soft, calming and natural You could include techniques such as your brushing with your wooden brushes, light massage with your castor oils & essential oils, use of sprays, hand flutters etc Pretty please
