Hey guys, it's Olivia, I'm so happy back here, like I'm all smiley and get me cuz. I'Ve been wanting to make this video since pretty much. I started my youtube channel and I just like haven't felt confident enough to kind of like tell you guys what I've been doing with my hair care type routine. But I finally feel, like I found kind of like a Holy Grail type system, that I'll like scream from the rooftops, because I feel like I have seen the light. I have kind of hit a new level of curly hair curly hair care that I'm just really excited about. I'M gon na go through this quickly and just kind of tell you guys what the products I use and how I kind of use them and just kind of go through it quickly. First, I just want to say that I have loved always have loved my curly hair I've pretty much worn my hair consistently curly. Since I was a kid, I have gone through phases where all straighten it more, but for the most part I love rocking my natural curls. I have had bubs. I'Ve had all different types of styles. Currently, my hair is pretty long and I'll stand up for a second you can see like it is really really long um I can yeah. I look at that. Oh, my god, so you guys can see like I have pretty curly hair and I love it to death. I don't know that much about like what hair texture I have or like what my curl types are. I know there's like the curly girl method. There'S a whole like reddit subreddit about curly girl stuff, not super into that. I have taken some things from that system and kind of used it, but I'm just gon na breeze through this and please, if you guys, have any suggestions for me comment below. If you have any feedback or questions or anything like if you have a current Holy Grail product, please let me know I love love, love products. I am a product junkie. I have been since I was a kid. I love testing out new hair products, but I honestly think this is like a pretty good system that I am been sticking with and I continue to hope to stick with it. So if you guys aren't watching my videos all recently, you know that I quit shampoo, and that is something that was pretty emotionally challenging. For me I know it's dramatic, but it really was. I my boyfriend and his family haven't been using shampoo for pretty much the entire time. I'Ve known them. It said about like 10 years or more - and you know, there's so much research about how shampoo just dries out your hair more and my boyfriend's always kind of like don't use shampoo, you don't need to it dries out. Your hair and I've always just kind of been like nah, I'm gon na stick with shampoo, I'm fine link just whatever, but I will say that I ran out of shampoo, I think back in February, and I was just like I'm gon na just try it out And see how it goes and it was really hard at first, my hair was super oily super greasy. I was really uncomfortable. I hated it, but once I kind of hit the pump like the threshold of everything it probably took two or three weeks I was in heaven and I was like why haven't I been doing this, my curls have been so much happier. I'Ve been able to go pretty much half a week without washing my hair comfortably. I probably could stretch it longer, but it is amazing and I will say that if you are a curly-haired girl - and you are Washington with shampoo - I would highly suggest challenging yourself and seeing if you can break out of that kind of cycle. It really really really has been helpful for me and I can't say enough good things about it, yeah. So that's kind of my two cents about the shampoo usage. I will say that about two weeks into using no shampoo. I did pick up the diva curl, no poo shampoo, and this has been awesome and I honestly have been tempted to just use this and not use conditioner, because I think it does a really good job of like cleansing my hair and also hydrating it. But not going to overboard. I have had a little bit of issues since I stopped using shampoo with like heavier ship conditioners. I have is like leave-in treatment that I haven't by phyto and I haven't been loving it since I stopped using a shampoo. It makes my hair really greasy really fast. I think it just gets heavier and it waves it down a little bit too much but yeah. This is awesome. It smells super good. It gives my hair that fresh, clean scent, there's no lather. It definitely does not work like shampoo, because it's not sham whoo and I really can't say enough good things about it. It'S sulfate free, paraben, free, silicone, free, and it is great. It'S not super cheap and I'm using this up faster than I'd like to. I used to never be like a fancy shampoo type person, but this is again it's not shampoo, but this is worth the splurge and I probably will buy the bigger bottle of this next because save money in the long run. I forgot to say with this. Basically, what I do is, I just focus it on my roots. I take like a little, you know a palm-sized amount and I really focus it on the roots of my hair, where it's gon na cos, starting to get oily and really scrub it in, and then I kind of like bring it down halfway down my hair and Then I rinse it out in the shower when I'm done with that, I take this, which I've been using off and on for a couple years. I have really sensitive acne prone skin and I have to be really careful what products I use on my hair, because it will cause breakouts, and this is a product that does not cause breakouts. I can make a whole video on acne because I literally am constantly fighting actually, but that's a different video, but this is great for that I don't know. I would if I choose this, if I wasn't having acne issues, it's the nature's gate, conditioner in the herbal scent um. This is great, it's really lightweight, it doesn't make. My hair feel super soft and crazy, but it is effective, and I think that it is great. I just put this on like this half of my hair in the shower and then rinse it out. I find that it makes my curls really um hydrated, but not too, like I said John greasy, and this smells awesome. It'S really like natural and he'd be kind of smelling, but it smells clean and I really like it like. I said I've gone through so many bottles of this, and this I just used up last night. So the next product is by diva Carla as well and is the set it free, moisture, lock, finishing spray, and I put this in my hair once it's already been towel dried. I use like a a twist type wrap on my hair when I'm kind of like doing the rest of my getting out of the shower routine and the time it's kind of you know. The main bulk of the moisture is out I'll work this in the bottom. Half of my hair and just spray it in and kind of work it through and then I will comb it with either a big brush or a comb like this and basically I'll just work it through and get it really untangled and soft. And then I will take a towel like this and I will either you know, do a plop type thing where, as what you do, is you basically put your head down and put your curls on the towel and kind of scrunch it up and it kind of Sets your curls to dry in a specific way. There are tons of videos about that. I'M not going to go too in depth about it or I'll, just wrap this around the base of my neck. Like I'm just do it fast I'll go like this, and I will kind of use that to kind of keep my the ends of my hair off my skin. So I don't have breakouts and then also it just kind of is a barrier and I think it kind of helps the base of my hair dry out faster. I do go to sleep with my hair damp most of the time when I wash it, I wash my hair about twice a week and yeah. That is probably not ideal, but it's just the way my showering habits work. So that's what I do sometimes. I also use this phyto seven hydrating day cream with seven plants, and I love this stuff. Then I'll use this like how it use the diva curl. It just adds a little more hydration to my hair and it doesn't get too greasy or oily. I love both of those products so much so haircare things really fast is. If you guys been watching my channel, you guys know that I have a hair accessory business, which means that I am a hair nerd times a ten, but the things I kind of use when I'm styling, my hair on a regular basis, is kind of what I Have in my hair now are these big brass bobby pins that I designed for curly hair girls straight haired? People can wear them too, but I really designed these with curly hair in mind and it's just kinda like an oversized brass, bobby. Pin that looks really big and graphic when you're wearing it, and I think it's really fun for kind of like pulling those big curls up and on your face. I also make them in the smaller size - and I wear things like this all the time for just getting that front piece of my hair out of my face, and I love it. I also have a huge lot of vintage barrettes, which are super rare, French barrettes that were made in the 70s and 80s. I have so many styles of them, but I love just like pulling back pieces of my hair and using this I just kind of get the hair out of my face, since I can't really have bangs or anything like that, because my hair so curly. I also what I'll do is I'll put these in the back of my hair, because I I how well it'd be like baby ears down here. I'Ll put these up in a my Mac to kind of hold those baby hairs up so yeah. Those are kind of like my little like most use products for styling. I also my bread and butter business. Are these elastic hair ties and I use these constantly. I will basically what my hair is throughout the week when I'm wearing my hair and not washing it. I will put my hair up in a high ponytail to sleep in. This is why you know it's called a pineapple again. You can do so much googling and other YouTube videos about curly hair, but basically just pick your hair up in a high pony and it just kind of your curls fall down, and it keeps your curls kind of intact throughout the week when you're not washing it. But yeah, let me use elastic. Hair ties are lifesavers. I have so many of these in my website. So many colors pattern shaped sizes, yeah that you can go out, but these are my life, savers, so anyways. Speaking of how I kind of maintain my hair throughout the week when I'm not washing it is I use this, we dyed. I think that's how you say. I always kind of slip on this. If I use the we'd, add the curl X there, the curl experts, the vote, Anna collaboost, curl, energizing and refreshing spray, and I have been using this for years. I love this. I love this so much more than the diva curl version of this. I bought so many versions. This kind of spray from so many different brands, but the we'd add one - is really the best. It'S not cheap. It'S seven. This is one was seventeen dollars from the Beauty Center supply store in my area, but I love this and again I just spray this on the ends and I just kind of crunch it up and it refreshes my curls in a way that I really can't speak Highly enough about, but this stuff is so good and I really really recommend it if you have curly hair and you need to kind of revamp it throughout the week when you're kind of wearing it and not washing. It can always use water for that. But I really like that we'd add a spray, then the last thing that I really really rely on is the chlorine dry. Shampoo and people talk about this all the time here on YouTube and I wasn't really like buying into the hype. But when I was in Paris in January, I got this on a beauty supply store there, a drugstore - and I will say this stuff is awesome, and I got this in the dark for brown and dark hair formula. I did not mean to do that when I was shopping. I just got it anyways and I'm really happy. I did because it doesn't give you that white cast that other dry shampoos. Do it just kind of sprays on your hair. You rub it in and it really does absorb the oil, and I really really recommend this for when you're trying to get your hair to last multiple days. I love that uhm but yeah. If that's kind of my quick, not quick, cuz, this long video but that's kind of my all the products and items I use on my hair to kind of keep it and maintain it but yeah I can get my curls to last a you know, three or Four days before I wash it again, which I never used to do before I used to live in like top knots, and you know things to cover up the grease enos and now I really don't have to, and I can kind of wear my curls all the Time, which is I never really thought I could it be, do that in the past, and I'm really thankful that I kind of gave up shampoo and dove into that kind of world, but yeah. I hope you guys enjoyed this video comment. If you have any questions. I'D love to hear from you and subscribe if you're not subscribed. Thank you guys. Bye,

Cass Wilson: Thumbs up before I've even watch :D Been waiting for this video for ages. Thanks for sharing. Us curly gals got to look after each other :P

Anne Hockenberry: Yay! I'm excited to try these products and ideas! I have been in a rut with hair care, but I think these tips will work for my hair type. I'm holding off on the no-poo experiment until school lets out for the summer, so I can get through the bad stage without too many people seeing (-:

Suzanne Janke: Love your curls. At first Wen was great in my hair, but my hair started feel greasy after awhile. Usually, I have my hair in a high pony tail or Headbands to show my curls off. I would love to try the products you use. Thank you so much for putting all the info in your description! Xo

ashgo86: YES! Finally, Secrets Revealed: Olivia's hair!!! :D

Vintage Flicker: My 9 yo daughter has very curly hair with tight curls. We have never regularly shampooed and when we do, we use sulphate free. We've found that Carol's Daughter range works well for her hair. Hardly any tangles. I'll give the Diva Curl a try. We use the t-shirt method to dry her hair. Have you tried that ? Thanks for the video.

Debi Argust: Your hair is beautiful! Thanks so much for this video!! Oh I need the curly hair clips.

Cass Wilson: Rewatching this video. I'm about to go no poo and thinking of trying devacurl products. Would love to see an update on your hair care routine and what you're currently using product wise xx

Megan Cope Sullivan: I was wondering if you were going to make a video about curly hair! I'm so glad you did. I've been thinking about doing the no-poo thing as well. I'm scared though! My question to you is - how do you handle tangles and bed head on the days after you clean your hair? I would love to still have the curl definition without the rats nest on the back of my head. :) I've tried brushing my hair and it just gets poofy and crazy. I've tried combing but the comb can't get through the tangles! Do you find that not using shampoo changes the tangles at all?

Designing L: So pretty... I wish I had curly hair! I do a vinegar rinse every so often. It removes any build up. Nice info!

Shar Roon: Maybe you are around a 3a mixed with 2b
