How To Style Short Curly Hair For Fluffy Voluminous Locks!

Hello guys and welcome back to my channel, i am so excited to finally be filming. A new youtube. Video after over a month is my first video back with my new haircut and shade was cut by curls by marie. I will leave her at here for instagram and that's where you can contact her if you want to book in. If you live in greater sydney in today's video guys, we will be styling my new curly haircut with some updated products and a different sort of routine. As i have been getting to know my hair in a different sort of way, now that i have cut it off um, where i have been, i dipped off to italy for a few weeks and i just haven't filmed and i have been settling back in. Don'T worry guys, i will be back again with weekly videos, because i really have missed you all so much. I have been experimenting a lot with my new haircut, because my curls aren't the same as they used to be. When i had this haircut a few years ago, they are a lot less tight because they are really really healthy. Now that means before my curls were very dead and had a lot of snapped ends, so the curls would bounce up a lot more than they do, but now that it's healthy it's way down, because it is thicker, it is heavier and it is more luscious. But i still absolutely love the way that it looked. Let me know below if you prefer my curly hair short or long. I think i prefer it long because i can do a lot more with it, but i still love this shape and we are going to grow it back out together after i am finished, having fun with this current hair, so guys stay tuned. If you want to see how i currently style my curly hair, what products i am using and also an update on italy, boyfriend everything just stay tuned, so excited to be filming right now: okay, guys, let's get straight into the catch up, slash styling, my short new Curly hair with you, so i have just washed it to be honest: it has grown since i've cut it because i haven't filmed in ages, but um so much shorter than it was literally so much shorter. Okay, let's pick my um products so guys, let's begin as usual by parting, my hair and i like to give everything a really quick brush before i apply any product just to eliminate any knots. Today you will see a few new products and a few new techniques, because i have been experimenting um with what works best for this particular shape and cut so guys. If you don't follow me on other platforms, you might not know i jetted off to italy for three weeks, um, that's a big part of why i didn't film. I literally cut my hair and then a week later, oh, i literally cut my hair. It was my 22nd birthday, then i left for italy and i've been back for a week and a half. Now when i was in italy, i did actually take my camera and i did intend to vlog, but then i was just. I was really enjoying the holiday and i was still trying to keep up with my other two platforms, tiktok and instagram, and it was just too much so i was like you know what i'll be back to youtube soon. I know they'll miss me and i've missed you guys so much. Let me tell you what i'm using i'm using the cpr curly curl control defining cream. You guys know if you're an og cpr has been one of my absolute favorite brands for curly hair for a really long time. I use their frizzy control, shampoo and conditioner, but now they've released a new, specific curl line, which is really good, and i like this, defining cream a lot. So i'm going to just literally apply this everywhere thoroughly and it's super hydrating smells divine and it gives my curls a lot of bounce. This is what the packaging looks like so also the trip to italy was super. Spontaneous looks like i have pigtails. It was a really spontaneous trip. We only planned it two months in advance. Before going and um. Italy has always been my sister's dream, it's a dream destination and me mum and jesse have always wanted to do a girls trip, so we just went for it. This is where a little bit of a new technique comes in i'm going to flip my head and brush it upside down, because my stylist, who cut my hair curls by marie, really recommends this for a little bit more volume. So what i'm gon na do is literally move away flip over and then just brush like so now give it a shake. So it's not stiff. It gives a lot of volume, but i'm just going to fix up the top sections just a tiny bit. Let'S ditch that for today, it looks way too like ready. I like it, i don't like it i'm going to just re-brush out. I'Ve still got the defining cream in it. This is what i mean guys. I really have not perfected how to style this. This short hair, because my curl pattern has changed a lot over the years. What i'm going to do is apply a little bit of water just to yeah. I feel, like i've been playing around with it too much. It needs a little bit more water. So what i'm going to do is i'm going to brush away from the scalp, make sure you're always brushing on the top of your hair, because this is going to seal the cuticle. If you brush from underneath, like i used to my hairdresser, also told me, it actually opens the cuticle which creates more frizz. So if you're brushing on top it's going to seal it flat and you're, going to have a lot less frizzy bits, i'm just going to literally brush away from my hair with a denim brush and, like you can add a little twist or a curl and whatever You want, but it's more about brushing these curls away, so yeah guys. I'M going to finger coil a few sections just on the top, just for a little bit of extra definition, so guys in terms of other live updates. Now that i've settled back in um, i am going to be pumping out weekly videos. That is a promise for youtube and i am doing a little show um. If you watched a vlog of mine, maybe like two months ago, you would have seen me getting ready for an audition. I'M really excited because i did get a role in the show and it's like a smaller production. Um, obviously can't say anything more than that yet, but i will release info um closer to the time. I'M really excited for that. Look. How much better that side looks than that um, so yeah i really enjoyed going away, but at the same time i love being home, and i also don't travel like with my boyfriend at the moment. That'S just not something we do as catholics, so um yeah. I really want to wait to travel with him one day i was wondering if you guys want to see like um boyfriend tag videos, so i should like meet my boyfriend properly uh. I'Ve he's been in like plenty of vlogs, but i've never done an actual video with him. I think it would be so fun okay, so i have finger coiled, the top portions of my hair and i have applied a defining cream now. What i'm going to do is apply a gel and a little bit of a mousse i'm going to try these together, never done it before so it could be shocking, but this is the shea moisture all-day frizz control, styling gel. I have absolutely loved this ever since i received it. This is enough for my whole head, but like so much comes out at once that i made this mistake. Use this for one side i'm going to do. Is i like to smooth the gel a little bit on the tops and underneath i don't want to smoosh my curls and ruin them, but i just want to smooth it on and then i'm going to scratch are more volume in the curls. Let'S do the other side. I think that is looking so good, oh and i'm going to use my my other od favorite alterna bond repair, mousse, not a lot this much only. I think i want to flip upside down and sh like really mousse up my curls. Hey guys, let's diffuse, i'm not going to show this on camera, because i have a few videos on it and i might do an updated one in the future. So check them out. Hair is dry, actually looks really good. I haven't released or scrunched out. You know that cast from the gel, but what i'm going to use is a product to do that. This is one of my absolute favorite hair products at the moment that i haven't introduced on youtube yet because i have obviously not filmed a video. This is the abile royale um scalp and hair serum from galen. It is expensive, but it's unmatched, amazing, serum um. It'S not super thick and oily never weighs my hair down. It'S a really good treatment to actually put on your scalp as well, but i love to use it. Oh, where am i i love to use it to just lock in any frizz and to scrunch out my curls. Now, i'm going to shake shake shake shake guys guys for real. My hair looks so good right now. I am so grateful that my hair decided to pop off on my first video back with my new haircut guys. This routine is so good. This is literally probably the best one i've done so far for my hair at this shape and like length, oh, my gosh, i'm so happy.
