Hi, I'm Tanya crier of Miss teens of Hollywood salon and today I'm going to be showing you how to shampoo african-american hair. First of all, before you begin the shampoo, you need to figure out what shampoo you're going to use, based on the condition of your hair and scalp. As you see, I have my therapeutic shampoo here, because my client here has a little itchy, scalp and a little bit of dandruff, and this is going to help to remove that. I have my conditioning shampoo, which actually helps to put the moisture back in the hair. After you do the deep cleanse and then I have my organic deep cleansing, shampoo, which is an extra cleansing agent that helps to remove oils and things like that when you shampoo the hair, you want to use nice warm tepid water, not too hot, because it's too Hot then it's going to blow up the cuticle on the hair and it's going to be open and then the hair is going to be over processed, but just not too much hot water. Okay, so, first of all, before you apply the shampoo you need to. You need to wet the hair, you need to saturate the hair completely and once the hair is completely saturated, then you want to add your shampoo we're going to start out with our organic deeply blue shampoo, because her hair does have a little bit of oil in It and before I use my therapeutic shampoo, I like to clean the Scout a little bit with your Atlantic organic D. Please, okay! So right now, I'm just applying the shampoo actually pouring the hit the shampoo on my hands just to make sure I have enough to saturate all over here and scalp. Sometimes you might want to go on with the chef for a couple times just to make sure you have enough. I always like to over saturate just to make sure I get it extra clean, we're just making sure that the shampoo is on all the strands over here and on her scalp. Now I'm going to take my fingers and I'm going to use a ball points of my fingers, just the tips and I'm going to go in a circular motion on her scalp. When you shampoo an african-american here, you want to make sure that you don't maneuver the hair too too much to where it tangles, because otherwise you'll have a the hair will get matted on you and normally I'll. Do this once or twice I'm going to risk for the first shampoo. Now you want to make sure that you rinse all the shampoo out of the hair. The shampoos want to help remove all the oils and dirt that are on the hair and scalp, including the dandruff, and then once you one shampoo, then you're gon na go back in with an additional shampoo. Now I'm going to go on with my therapeutic shampoo, because she does have a little bit of dry scalp and I'm going to use this therapeutic shampoo for the dryness and the flaking just going to help to kind of tame that again, you want to make sure That the hair is completely saturated, with the shampoo among the strands, the shaft of the hair and on the scalp, I'm Tanya Cryer from his Tiny's of Hollywood, and I just showed you how to shampoo African American hair

Alexis Brown: Very good presentation. Excellent teacher.

Amber Sumerall: Wow! I didn't know to sit under the hair dryer for 30-45 mins, ill usually sit for about 10-15 mins. No wonder why my hair wont be as soft as it should but it will be soft, not silky soft tho. I use Design Essentials and Joico products which are some pretty good products. I know now. Thanks!

Hunnah: omgg @0:44 when she was laying her head on the bowl, she made that face like, mhmm, and she bet not wet my eye brows either on this camera

Patricia O'Kelley: My best friend is black and I am white. We used to spend time as kids finding out everything about the other race. We are all human beings. They really should have haircare, hair weaving etc in grammar school. To let kids know that we are different but not that different and the race secrets are what keeps white flight, racial profiling etc going

Jaqui Bain: Oh wow, tutorial on hair washing...I use dish washing liquid, soap, shower gel, etc...

Nikki Anderson: This is Nikki Anderson my mother does my hair

Kelia Coleman: Heyyy! You use Design Essentials! :D

tierra sales: how often  should I wash my hair???

Bre Quinn: Why they keep saying African American hair lawd.

nhrafreak22: I don't know what you want a relationship with my mom just called my dad ,,, and I love people who can be used make it a lot to do know how much I love you so much fun with

FallnAngel07: Shampoo 3 times? Nobody does this

Priya Pandey: So I'm really annoyed that when I type searching for anything "ethnic" that that is an association for black people only. ethnic hair is considered for those of us who are not black nor white also...this is nuts
