Hey Guys!

I'm back with another DIY for you! This time I'm sharing a dense, moisturizing and repairing hair mask that my curls love! Curly hair is naturally dry and I also heat style my hair regularly which also removes a lot of moisture fro my locks. So I have to add tons of moisture into my hair on a regular basis. This 4 ingredient hair mask is a classic. All you need is:

1/2 cup of Mayo

2 tbsp Yogurt

2 tbsp Coconut Oil (or any oil)

1 tso Honey

Combine the ingredients and apply mids to ends on clean hair. Leave it in for 15 mins and shampoo/condition your hair. Style as usual.

Hey guys, it's ariba and i'm back with another tutorial for you guys. So today we're going to be doing a diy, deep conditioning and reparative hair mask the best part about this recipe. Is that it's all common ingredients that you guys probably already have at home and they're super nourishing they're super moisturizing, they're very reparative, and they kind of help me bring my hair back to life. So curly hair is naturally dry hair and when i do this mask it basically helps bring my curls back to life. The more moisture you add into your curls, the healthier they become, and so that's what we're going to be doing today, we're going to be adding tons of moisture to this before i style my hair curly and the best way to go about a hair treatment or A hair mask is to always go in on clean, clean hair when your hair is nice and clean. That means that the hair mask or the hair treatment will absorb into your hair a lot easier because there's no dirt or oil. On your hair, that's going to block that hair mask from penetrating into your hair, so we want to start with a clean, clean slate, so i'm going to very very quickly: go and shampoo, my hair okay. So now that my hair is a nice and clean, i'm going to go ahead and very quickly mix up my hair smoothie, we're going to start with half of a cup of mayo and mayo is made out of eggs and oil. So it's packed with protein and moisture next we're going to go in with two tablespoons of yogurt and yogurt is packed with probiotic bacteria, which helps increase the density of our hair. So it's awesome for our curls next we're gon na go in with two tablespoons of coconut oil. You can use any oil that you like. I just prefer coconut oil, because the molecules are very small and it penetrates deeper into your hair and, finally, we're going to go in with one teaspoon of honey. Honey has emollients that add shine to your hair and humectants that add tons of moisture and now we're just going to combine all of our ingredients together. Make sure you stir them up so that they're completely combined, because that's when they're going to work best - and this is what it should look like so when you're doing it in the shower, it's very, very quick! But right now it's going to get a little bit messy because i'm demonstrating on a chair, but you basically just want to apply the mask on your mids and ends. Remember: hair, masks and hair treatments. Never go on your scalp. If you put it on your scalp, it's going to create a lot of build up and when you go and it'll make your hair, like your scalp's, itchy and you'll, get all that stuff under your nails, um. You want to avoid hair masks and hair treatments on your scalp at all times, so we're going to go in in the driest areas, which are your mids and your ends and with hair masks you usually want to be generous, so we're just going to go ahead And grab a big old pile of the hair mask so for the oil. I used coconut oil because that's kind of my go-to oil, but this recipe is very forgiving. So if you don't have any coconut oil, you can go in with any other oil under the sun. They all work really well, usually, i would recommend, like some kind of olive oil, grapeseed oil avocado oil, those all work really really well, and even with this recipe, even though i have tons of hair you're going to have lots of the hair mask left over. So just pop it into your fridge and you can reuse it. It should stay good in the fridge for a couple of weeks, so you can use it quite a bit during your next few shampoos. So you basically want to completely drench those ends and then in your mids um you don't really have to put that much in you can just kind of go in a little bit more, like kind of light-handed. So, like i said this recipe is super super forgiving. Um - and that goes for the amount of time that you decide to leave it in your hair as well, so i like to normally do this in the shower. So when i'm doing this in the shower, i basically shampoo my hair and then i apply this in and then i do everything else that i need to do in the shower. So i'll shave my legs i'll soak my entire body um and then at the very end, i'll rinse it out. So that usually gives me about 15 minutes or so with a hair mask in my hair. I would recommend leaving it in at least 10 minutes um, but the longer you leave it in the more beneficial it's going to be. You can also leave this hair mask in overnight. You all obviously want to wear some kind of like hair net, to keep your pillow protected because it's male um, but you can leave it overnight. You can leave it in pretty much as long as you want uh, but 10-15 minutes usually will do the trick. So i'm gon na let this kind of hang out in my hair and i will see you guys back in 10 minutes. So this is one of those hair masks that you have to shampoo out of your hair. But you don't want to shampoo too aggressively one light. Shampoo is more than enough and then you want to go ahead and condition your hair just to seal your cuticle back up nice and tight um. So now my hair feels really really nice and hydrated. So i'm going to go ahead and do i'm just going to go ahead and curl my hair and i'll show you guys what i use so when i'm styling my hair curly, i like to use my own kind of diy curl cream that i made and i'll Leave the tutorial and recipe on this curl cream in the description down below i've been making it for years, and it's just it's a really awesome cream. So i just kind of mush it into my hair and then i just diffuse it until it's completely dry. So you guys can already see my curls are starting to feel like they're, so much more defined and they just like sucked up all of that moisture from um that hair mask and now i'm just diffusing my hair, as i normally would, if you guys want a More detailed tutorial on how i diffuse my hair and all of the techniques that i use for my natural hair, i'll link it down below, for you guys, alright guys. So these are the final results um. You can see that my curls feel so much more back to life and they just feel so quenched and healthy, bouncy and light. So one of my favorite things about this hair mask is that it doesn't leave my hair feeling greasy or oily in any way, because i do shampoo it out uh, because this mask is so dense that even after shampooing it out, it still leaves my hair feeling. So quenched and hydrated um, so i really hope that you guys found this tutorial helpful as always be sure to give this video a thumbs up. Leave me some love in the comments down below, don't forget to subscribe to my channel, and i will see you guys on the next one. Bye

Michele Forrette: I just did this today and my hair is so soft! I recently had a horrible hair color experience leaving my hair so dry and frizzy Thank you for this awesome video! This works ladies!! Soft luxurious hair ❤️

audrey: start on clean hair 1/2 cup mayo 2 tablespoons yogurt 2 tablespoons coconut oil 1 teaspoon honey put on mids and ends leave for at least 15 minutes, longer the better shampoo and condition

Fellow nerd シ: I have wavy hair so I’m not too concerned about bringing in curls but I really needed this to fix my dye and bleach damaged hair lol

LADY.PANDORA LYNN KARMA WALKER: Little top, oils used in this recipe you should add 1st before going and adding the honey so the oil helps the full amount of raw honey from your measuring spoon used for the oils. Also, if you are using a honey that comes in a bear shaped bottle, spoiler alert-odds are it's not actually honey, but is a mix of high fructose corn syrup and molasses. Just an FYI for those whom are not aware of this fact. Stay awesome, lovers & lovelies!!!

Trex: Tip: If you don’t have mayo or don’t want to use store bought, you can make your own with olive oil and eggs there’s tons of recipes for it

Amy Champion: OMG this has totally saved my hair!!! I came back from the hairdresser's today with a beautiful new colour, but whilst curling my hair she'd left the straighteners on too long and frazzled the ends of my hair. I thought it was irreparable and that I'd need to get at least 2 inches cut off. Before panicking and going to the salon tomorrow, I decided to see what I could find online and i found this. I left this mask on for 2 hours and honestly it's like there is no damage at all.... I swear this has reversed the damage. My hair feels amazing! I will now be doing this mask once a week as a treat. Thank you so much for posting this!!!!

Blaze: “Avoid your scalp at all times” *me watching this video with a hair mask definitely very much on my scalp *

Laura: Absolutely amazed at how well this worked. My hair Was super dry but after using the hair mask one time it is back to normal. I’m looking forward to see how long it will last. All of the other hair mask that I looked at had too many ingredients plus uncommon ingredients. Thank you for this video!

琳琳 (¬‿¬): So i applied it today. I have thick, frizzy, and semi curly hair (not too curly but not straight either. Its a mess). I used all the ingredients same as instructed except for the oil, i used Emami 7 Oils in One. I kept it on for little bit more than an hour ( i actually forgot i had it on my head until i suddenly smelled it lol). Rinsed it with cold water at first ( i cant use hot/warm water on my head. it gives me headache), shampooed once and then conditioned my hair. Result: my hair feels very soft and slippery. It added lots of shine and took away a lot of friz from the hair. I cant smell anything due to the oil which has a strong scent that the shampoo couldnt even lift. So its all positive and i recommend it.

Gabriela Deuschle: You have beautiful hair!! It reminds me of mine when I was in my twenties. I will definitely be trying this hair mask. Thank you for sharing! ❤️

Lessons 4 Days: Love how you explained everything. All my questions were answered so GREAT VIDEO!

Araceli Linn: Thank you! I tried it today and LOVED it!

Lydia Scherr: Looks great I’m definitely going to try it!

Reut bel1: Hey nice video and loved your channel! I also have curly hair, and dry hair. So I wanted to try this hair mask but I'm a vegan too. So are there any other ingredients that can switch the ones you used? Thank you♡

New Life: You probably get sick of hearing this but you are just gorgeous! Great video I'm gonna try it right now!

Bread Crumbs :3: Oml!! Thank you so much, after one treatment of this my hair is alive again!

Cat: omg just learned that you shouldn't add hair masks to the scalp! does this work for just oil hair masks as well?

Karen Garnica: Thank you so much for giving explanations on certain things!! Like I didn’t know you were supposed to do it with clean hair ! I’d always put it on and then shower it off.

Natso Fatso: THANK YOU SO MUCH , LIFESAVER !!! Last september , before my cousin's wedding , i dyed my hair. I left the hair dye on my head for too long . When it came to wash it off i noticed my hair was so brittle and dry. It felt like straw ! And when it dried it looked like i put my finger through an electrical socket. Every morning i would wake up with a rat's nest in the back of my head ! I tried everything to repair my hair. I even bought expensive conditioners form the drug store. Nothing worked . Last night i applied your hair mask recipe to my hair and left it on over night . Today i washed it off and i havent stopped running my fingers through my hair. I havent been able to run my fingers through my hair for over 2 months . Until now .. I am so thankful i seen this video . Now i dont have to chop my hair off . Thank you soo much !!

Asma's Space: That's so helpful thank you so so much ❤️

Line Guerouache: How long does this mask last?

Linduuh Likes: This mask is better than all the over the counter masks I own

Jaclyn Deleo: Don't put too much coconut oil in bc when it goes down the drain, it cools and solidifies and clogs your pipe

Davianna Thomson: I’m way late for this video but I’m curious, do you wash it out with hot or cold water? and does the temperature of the water make a difference? My hair is extremely frizzy so I’m watching this in hopes that it helps your curls are amazing!

Jenn Hebbert: I finally found someone with my hair type you are so gorgeous! And that hair!!

David Archer: Coconut oil should be switched out with olive oil avocado oil. Coconut oil can clog drains. Solidify at lower temperature. With her hair, shower drain clogs would be more frequent. Clog drains can be costly.

Fa†ima: Looks great! And I'll love to try it. But I've got two questions: 1. Would it be enough to wash it out with rye flour? Any experience? 2. If I only wash my hair once a week, will it be good to use the mask every time? Thanks!

malchick: Thank you for uploading this ❤️

Christina: Can’t wait to try this!

Lotus Flower Life: This DIY hair mask looks absolutely delicious, I won't eat it tho lol

A: Will the mask have the same effect if I use Greek yogurt instead of regular yogurt?

Rebekah Young: trying this right now! I used molasses instead of honey since I didn't have any. We'll see what happens!

Anabela Nenadic: Great tip - will do this

English Language with Nina: Is there any way you can replace the mayo with eggs? I never knew not to put hair masks on our scalps! thank you!

Amethyst Soloraine: I'm sure it's a great mask, but my hair ended up really greasy after the wash. I think it's because i didn't measure the ingridients correctly. I will try again, hopefully it will work out next time...

Shree L: Those curls✨

Miriã Camargo: I didnt have yogurt and left without, still did the job very well. Thank you

Manal Fatima: Definitely going to try it

serena Cova: What shampoo do you recommend for bleached damaged wavy hair like yours

Andrea Goss: How often do you use styling products and defuse?

Hamima Akhtar: Instead of mayo can I just use eggs and oil?x

Jax: I just stumbled on this channel looking for a homemade hair mask. OMG you are beautiful. Do you have a video for your makeup routine?

Natasha Garcia: Thank you for sharing!

David Grewal: Is this okay for low porosity hair

Alisa Brea: What did I do wrong? I did this and my hair felt so dry and frizzy after

Rital Mira: How many times a week do I do this? I have very dead and frizzy hair so I'll probably leave it in for about 20 minutes at least, but bc of how frizzy and dead it is I'm not sure how many times I'm supposed to do this

Nikita Rathor: That looks yum Ariba , Jokes aside great mask. All ingredients are super moisturizing. Just one question. Concerned about mayonnaise. Will it smell or stink?

Migdalia Villanueva: Can I use extra virgin oil instead, coconut oil dryness my hair I don’t recommend coconut oil it will damage your hair and cause hair loss,

Kerri Monk: But, for my dry scalp and hair frizz, it has to go on the scalp, as that is where there dry and frizzy hairs start from !!

Time Traveling Old Man: I'm a 26 year old male and lately my hair feels dead. Hopefully this can do something with my head.

amber shahid: Can we use on the scalp? Plz reply

pink jellybean: Thank you gorgeous

Aline: Next time. Don't add Honey and add Olive Oil. 4 drops

Cindy Love: What style hair cut do you have? I love how your hair falls when you flip it from different sides. Would like a similar cut ✂️. I'm a stay at home mom and I never have a chance to go do my hair. So Would love a style that would look beautiful curly that I can do myself. Xo
