Hi, everyone welcome to discovery natural. I got asked this question a while ago and I'm so sorry I'm just responding back, but the question was asked by mother who are three children. She had um a teenager and I think, a preteen and also a kid between the. I think the kid was about little 6, 8, maybe 8 or 7 years old, and dealing with three children. Multiple children, washing their hair and all that stuff can be a lot of work. So the mother's question was: how do I know when to wash their hair like? Do I have to wash it every week? Do I have to wash it every two weeks whatever and my answer to our is this, and I thought that my answer will really help other parents out there, but, first of all, if you let subscribe to our Channel, please subscribe to our Channel. I do videos every Mondays and Fridays that can help you out and also we have a vlog channel, DN blogs life, where we also show behind the scenes, our family adventures traveling, my husband talking about parenting and things of that sort. If you want to know, I created this hairstyle make sure you click that pop-up that just popped up right now and yeah. So to answer that question: it's not a straightforward question, because it really depends on a whole bunch of things number one. The frequency at which you wash your hair or are often you wash your hair, depends on number one, your scalp condition. Now. If your scalp is one that easily gets built, proto build up easily gets irritated, then I will suggest you wash your hair, weekly or even middle of the week. You might do a co-wash just to refresh your hair and just use water to kind of lift up any debris off your scalp. Now, when it comes to other instances, if your lifestyle number number two your lifestyle, what you do, if you exercise frequently, you might want to wash it frequently if you don't, if you don't sweat so up to you, might want to reduce the amount of times you Wash your hair, so that's the second thing number three would be what products you use now. If you use products that create product build-up all the time on your hair, then you do want to close your hair more frequently. In addition, some products are products that, if you don't cleanse your hair properly, they can create scalp issues on your hair. So you have to really know what kind of products you're using what the impact is to your hair and thereby it can help. You know when and how often to wash your hair, so this question has been answered and I hope that this helps you a lot if you have any other tips and there you want to share regarding this subject. Please comment down below and don't forget, to give us a thumbs up and share our videos to all others so that we can help everyone. Thank you so much for watching. I will see you in the next video bye. You

Petalisbless DIY: Very good info on washing our hair my dear, I never really thought about the facts you mentioned :)

Way2goful: I exercise 5 days a weeks. My hair was getting crunchy at the roots and I realized sweating was drying my hair out so I started washing my hair two times a week and using a deep conditioner with plastic cap. My hair needed more washes than I was giving it. I didn't realize sweat and build up was breaking my hair. Washing twice a week keeps my scalp from itching and my roots and new growth from getting crunchy and unmanageable. When I say crunchy it means my scalp was dry.

Brianna&Mia Gymnasts: I wash my hair every week cause I want to make sure my scalp is clean and has room to grow

ISayToMyself: My scalp won't let me go past one week. Literally on day 8 it starts acting up--excessive itching, flaking!! It lets me know.

Most Of Miree: I just wash my hair whenever I need to, and there's no specific time of the month for it. My hair usually doesn't smell, nor have much build because my sucks it up very quickly, and never leaves anything behind.

Taylor9: It depends how much product I put in my hair. I go by how it feels; it can be from 1 week to 4 weeks. BUT I rinse it and condition weekly. I choose not to use shampoo often because it dries my hair out.

Rep Jesus: I am wig protective styling right now (trying to make it the entire year). I was trying to wash it twice a month but I am learning that my scalp is dry and itchy, etc and that I need to wash every week. Thank you for this video you always do quality videos:)

Williams J: Great video! I wash my hair once a week. That works for me. If I'm out of down during the weekend then Monday. Wash day is every Sunday!

Jdelawcious: I wash my every 2 weeks but if there is build up I will wash sooner. I think it is different for everyone.

Random Lee Angie: i usually go by how my hair feels. i learned how to pay attention to my body. all the signs are there

Jennyfer Ross: perfect answer! i just was every week because i feel like i have more shedding when i wait longer to wash my hair, but off course every body's hair is different.

Beaute' Naturelle: You are always clear and knowledgeable getting right to the heart of the subject. Very professional. Thanks for another great video.

Opong71: This is informative and the frequency of washing the scalp and hair makes a difference in hair growth. I workout 5 - 6 days a week and washed my hair 2x a week. My schedule changed and the routine of the biweekly wash changed to once a week. Six months later, my scalp paid the price being very itchy and dry. I'm back to 2x a week and using DHS Tar Shampoo and a surfer cream to bring my scalp back to good health. I have to remember to treat my scalp just as I treat my skin such as my face. Thank you :-)

Lilmisskandi: I wash every 2 weeks and my hair is fine but I want to try weekly as it's often dry. Will this help with moisture?

prah ootace: I do WnG every 2 or 3 days using moisturizing products. TFS!

tequilashots875: your hair has grown soooooooo much and so beautifully. I hope to reach that length one day.

Jess C.: Hello! I want to say that already follow you from the beginning of the channel and I love your videos. I have a problem: I always wanted to go to the natural hair and I do not like to use chemical relaxer because it always leaves me with the sensitive scalp. The reason I can not stop using chemical relaxer is because of the scalp. I reach a certain point that my scalp is so hard that I can not put my fingers there. What I wonder is if there alternatives (hair care products, home recipes or oils, etc.) To help moisturize the scalp and the same "calm her down", reducing the volume of the scalp, but without the use of chemical relaxer. I've searched a lot and can not find any information about it. Thanks

mscharita: I wear wigs alot and to be honest... I wash my hair every 2-3 months ‍♀️ because my hair was soooooo unmanageable...but now I figured out a good routine so I will wash ever 1-2 weeks

cutiemisbehavin1: I wash my hair every week and I always feel like my hair is saying thank you.

SevenTailedWolf72 ft. BLACK*ROCK Studios: I started doing wash my at least once a week. I get product build up and I usually do a wash and go. What I have noticed, with the more frequent washing, my hair had is breaking and shedding less and is easier to comb through.

BLISS: you gave good tips...I have notice my body is constantly changing. before I went natural...I had to wash my hair twice a week due to lifestyle and dandruff. the first 2 years of being natural, I didn't suffer with dandruff and I only washed my hair once every week. I have notice this year....I have had to revert back to washing my hair twice a week...geesh

Ania Sade: Yes I always wondered how often I am pose to wash my natural hair. Thanks for the tips

Jenny Lee: Thanks for video I was wondering this myself. my hair seems to thrive if I leave it alone and wash once a month. When I was washing it weekly it was more prone to breakage.

Marisa Jay: great tips!! I have to wash my daughters hair once a month and in between we do cowashes.

Lekiesha Mba: I wash my hair once every week , and when I moisturize it after the moisture soaks in my hair , i took my hair and my hair feels like i didn't put any moisture in it at all

Mindful Wealth Creators: Hey Gorgeous!! Your skin is marvelous!! Love your videos

Williams J: I did. Have a great week you and the family!

KKGLAMOVERS: Great video. You are right it is different for everyone. I'm still learning what my hair needs as I am just growing it out. I have found my hair does not like a lot of manipulation so when I have it plaited, I carry that for a month so I really only wash my hair once a month when I take my plaits out and this seems to be working for me just fine at the moment. Things might change though down the line in my hair journey.

ria james: Love your videos, educational as always. You look beautiful love the hair style.

Cara J: I alternate between co-wash and shampoo (using black soap). One a week I will ACV rinse, co-wash and deep condish and the next week, I will wash with African black soap and DC. I usually like to wash every Friday. However, because I did not do either this past Friday, I will rinse my hair tonight after I workout, moisturized and twist. I must say, I deep condition regardless of what I am doing that week.

I Am RallyGirl™: Good video. Very helpful. I have to admit, I was just staring at your beautiful skin; you're just so pretty. I love that hairstyle too!

I also use "do gro" products hair grease and oil on my hair so I think I'll start washing my hair more often, I started to grow my hair out ever since covid began and have been braiding my hair i am a black man who when had short haircuts would wash my hair every time I showered now that I have hair I been going 1-2 months between washing and deep conditioning.. someone told me the longer I go in between washing the better my hair would grow in

Stephanie: i’m black and i rinse my hair everyday and then use shampoo and conditioner once a week is that good???

Charnell Lanay 2.0: I wash my hair only when i take my braids down from under my wigs

Iyre Alax: My curls won't be as defined if I wash my hair any less than 2 times a week

SpicyNerd: Is co-washing good to do on a child's head if they they have a sensitive scalp and gets product build up quickly? Right now I am washing biweekly but I'm thinking I may need to do it more often but I am not sure if this is a good idea because my daughter has fine 4c hair strands prone to breakage. Should I wash more often or do something else entirely?

diordiva: I do my niece's hair and it is so much hair!! I try to wash it every two weeks but sometimes it does not happen

Tara Phillips: I use to wash my hair weekly it start breaking now I try every 2 weeks

Alissa Danielle: I used to wash my hair every day! As a kid I had no choice! But when I don’t wash my hair, does that mean I can’t get it wet at all?

Oge Ubabuike: Love your videos.

Sorala Silber: I have oily hair how often should I wash it

Smyrna Osae: Thank you for the help I get build up really fast do you have any videos that show how to get rid of it? If not please create one

Julia Smith: I wash mine every two weeks with a little shampoo mixed with baking soda .then sometimes for build up I would wash it weekly or in between week with only condition .Now I will be making a change from watching some vidio that say warm water open the pores in your scalp and expand the grains so proteen could go in it .I will be washing with warm water when shampooing every two weeks and warm water for in-between when using just conditioners. I actually wet my hair Everytime I shower and massauge my scalp when doing so that's with no product at all just water .That is my roteen .About the kinda product I use all natural except the little bit of Shampoo every other week and conditions.i watch every vedio on natural moisture and oil treatment and use what's best for my hear especially your one you have the most product that suits my hair .Thank you .I grew up with my mom wetting a brush to brush down my hair and she would tell us don't be afraid to wet your hair when you bade because it's like watering a plant it also have root and my mom use to make organic coconut oil so that goes in skin hair in in our Tommy lol .you are my favourite.

Yemu: this is great advice. I always try to avoid my scalp.

Gift Estelle: you are soo good , i love your channel ,i will really appreciate more talks about marriage, advice , will really be good esp for those of us who will be getting married soon,, i really enjoyed the last one you did with your hubby. you make me so proud to be a Nigeria , really!

Baldie Da Beast: Please is it alright if I only comb my big natural hair with my fingers alone and that I never use any products on my hair other than shampoo and a special kind of mask or after-shampoo or something used for easier managing hair or something, and is it normal to wash my hair once in two weeks? I really hate to wash it once a week because every time after washing it it ends up looking absolutely terrible for 2-3 days! please help me I'm a guy without too much experience when it comes to this thank you.

MsHelloKittyLover: I noticed that my scalp is really dry, i wash it and the next day i will get dandruff. Any help on that please?? Could it be the shampoo i am using?? My scalp didn't feel like that before.

Kalangwa Christin: Hello. I really like theses videos. Could u pliz make a video on how to wash hair in mini twists. To minimise frizz. Or link it. If u already have it. Thxx

Distinguished Diva: I do every second day since I workout and run every day so too much sweat and product buildup.

Rose Musa: I have thin, type 3c, low porosity hair and am not sure what is best for frequency of washing my hair. I have been washing once a week. Should I do more? Thank you for all your videos and great advice

Diplomat: I wash mine every two weeks. But I would like to try every week. Or maybe do shampoo one week, Cowash/clay wash the next then back to shampoo the following week. I might try that & see how my hair likes it. I feel like that’s a lot of manipulation but it might not be. My hair might thrive. I’ve slowed down putting oils on my scalp so honestly my scalp isn’t as dirty as it could be.
