You need to shampoo your hair with hot water, and then you need to condition your hair with cold water. Hot water opens the cuticle kind of gets everything that you need to get in. There call water closes the cuticle and make sure you get all of the product out of your hair and make sure you get your scalp. Then you want to put your hair in some sections. It doesn't matter if they're neat or not, but you just want to do that, because it's easier to work with sections than to work with a whole head for the head and kind of the scrunch, the water out of each section. I use the cheese silk infusion. You only need this much for one section and with the cheese silk infusion. If you too much hair is going to look very oily and you might have to start all over, so you can add a heat protectant. So I put the cheese of confusion in my hair. I put a dime size on my per Section, I'm going to blow-dry it all in, and I type my blow dryer on high and on high and I slowly went through and got my whole entire hair dry and your hair should get as straight as possible with The blow-dryer, so I'm going to take small sections, probably deciding through the size of the end of this or the size of the end of this, you don't want to go any bigger than that time on flat irons up to 375. So I like to straighten my hair twice, the first time I do it. I just do it on a low heat setting just to kind of infuse the product in my hair and to get my hair straight. I haven't straightened my hair in over a year. So it's not already knew it wasn't going to get silky straight and I use a really low heat setting that I never normally do. I typically like to do hair on a high heat setting and doing one pass, but today I just wanted to show you guys what happens if you never straighten your hair and you use a low heat setting and I just went and straightened out my hair and Just quickly for you guys, but I still use my small sections - okay, so now that I'm done with doing my hair is two things I want to point out for what it looks blow-dry and for to when I feel my ends, they feel scraggly and they look Scraggly um, I just wanted to show you guys that when you straighten your hair, even using small sections and on 375 sometimes is not enough heat, and that comes to play with your hair, texture, fine, medium or coarse, and clearly I can use a little bit more Heat but my hair is tricky because it does heat damage easily. So if I'm using high heat on a daily basis boom, my curl pattern is gone so because we don't straighten around a daily basis. It does take a little bit more for it to get silky straight and that's ok, because if you're only straightening your hair at one time a week, I mean getting your hair done, straighten it once or twice a week and not going back and playing with it. With a flat iron a couple times a day on throughout the week, you should be fine, so now that I got my hair like initially, if I iron it over the product and I'm going to clip my in alright, you guys the next thing you're gon na Do is your part, I'm doing the side part, and I want my part when I tie my hair sideways it she's just like fall evenly with like this side of my hair. I did a part all the way to right here and then I'm just going to make a big square, and this is going to be my baby. I'M gon na put this little front part out the way. Then I'm going to take some more cheese, so confusion about this much I'm gon na put this now we feel how much is on my hand, you want to start in the back and kind of work it through your entire hip work it through this section now Didn'T do a heavy hand and I still have some on my hands now. I'M gon na wipe the residents off of my hand. So now I was at 14, so I started at 375. Now I'm going to go through my head one more time at 410 and your sections don't have to be as small as it was the first time and the heat setting that you guys use it kind of just depends on your hair texture. The texture refers to the thickness of the hair strand and if you have fine hair, you can take one strand of hair, pluck it from your head and rub it in your fingers. I twist it through your index and your thumb and it doesn't move. Then your hair is fine, it's a kind of move media and if it moves a lot, your hair, of course, I know a lot of people mistake, coarse hair, for they I feel like coarse hair is using such a negative term. People think snappy, and I felt like they always using that being a derogative term, and I hate that. That'S not what coarse hair is. That'S why most people don't want to have coarse hair, but coarse hair is not that coarseness is basically like the thickness of your hair strands and personally you would want to have a thicker hair string, because that means you're going your hair. It'S going to look thicker. You want to have thick hair and high density hair, so my hair is kind of like in the middle. It moves a little bit too a lot, so I feel like I have mediums of coarse hair, and that plays a part in how much heat that you need to use, because coarse hair is usually stronger and coarse. Hair needs more heat to penetrate through all the cuticles of your hair, but yeah I'm going to continue strengthening my hair. I can take bigger pieces because it was already initially straightened, and this is just how I style it. So now I'm just going to finish up my bangs and you want to continue taking your small pieces, don't use too big of a piece and I'm just going to play with it a little bit and add some oil sheen. It'S just helps with the shine and my hair is really dry, so I just decided to wrap it and take a little bit of olive oil. While I was wrapping it and wrap my hair, you want to be careful about how much oil base file that you use, because you don't want care to be too heavy in someone. It'S a be free-flowing, and that just goes into play of knowing your hair, and I knew that the end result of silk wrapping my hair with some olive oil would make it look the way that I wanted to look. So this is my hair. Last year in September 2015 - and you can see in the back - is basically like almost shades off. I had to cover it because I didn't really cut it into a style and the back of my hair wasn't really done, but this is how short it was. Last year, not fast for a year and four months later, the back were out the way it was supposed to grow out. The only thing that I did to the back of my hair was clip my ends since the last time I cut it, but as far as my leave, our area, that part is not as long as it would have been, because I kept cutting the heat damage Out throughout the whole entirety here and I've got heat damage because I was straightening. My leave out multiple times a day and I was always in my hair. You can straighten your hair, but it's just you want to make sure you don't use excessive heat like I was using and then you're going to have to end up cutting the heat damage out in me. Personally, I just hate seeing lip curls and it wouldn't make sense for me to cut my heat damage because I never wore my natural curls anyway, but it's just like a personal preference. It'S like when you see lip curls, you just want to cut it. So that's what I'm working on, not using excessive heat. I try to flat iron my leave out once a week now and not cutting my hair. So much so I can retain my life. Aren'T you guys? That is how I show you my natural hair, and this is kinda like a live check, update and um. I shot wearing my hair in his natural state. I did it just so. I think kind of get comfortable with myself and comfortable with my short natural hair, but short hair in general is not my thing and especially when your natural hair is so short like. I can't even frame your face so that takes some getting used to. But I do suggest you guys do it once or twice just to like boost your confidence, and you know get people to see you in get used to and loving your short natural hair. If it is short but like I said, I'm not going to be wearing my hair out too much, I want to experiment with like twist out and braid outs and stuff just because I know that helps for the shrinkage, but the washing goes for me. I have to like really find a way to keep my hair defined during the day, because my hair gets really dry and it shrinks up so short, but other than that that um yeah. This is pretty much the list and I really really like it. I don't know the last time I like my hair when it was straight in this short. If this video helped you guys out, go ahead and thumbs it up, and thanks for watching this, video and I'll see you next week.

Deon Gillespie: Your hair is beautiful. Sorry I'm just now seeing this video. I just watched another video recommending Chi Keratin Mist and Iron Guard. The shine is amazing, but one thing confused me. The stylist added Sebastian Shapier Plus before flatironing as a humectant?? She said specifically not to add the serum til after flatironing. Can you recommend an alternative. Definitely don't want to add alcohol, and have never heard of hairspray being a humectant. I do have the Cantu Oil & Shine Mist I could add before (or after) blow drying.
