Well, some days I look like Didi Pickles. As much as I love Rugrats. That'S not exactly the look that I wan na go for. (, cheerful, music ). So today we're gon na be trying Gabrielle Union's hair line. Gabrielle Union is bae.. I feel, like she's, been an icon of black beauty. Aside from Tatyana Ali in Zaria from Parenthood. She was the only brown girl that I really saw on TV. That was like my complexion representing.. I like used to straighten my and perm and do all of the terrible things to my hair., Then in 2008 I was still in college and I couldn't afford the perms anymore, so I stopped. And then in 2010 I stopped straightening it and my hair has been Growin' ever since., I think, before I used to really struggle with my hair and didn't know what to do with it.. But I love my hair.. I love my fro., I begged my mom to let me get a relaxer, because that's what all the girls were getting and I just wanted straight hair. And then probably four years ago I did the big chop. And I wanted to get my hair healthy again. And I wanted to remember what my natural state even looks like.. I wanted something fresh and new and I guess to get sort of back to my roots.. I'M excited to try these products.. I hope I find something that really works for me.. I don't know if every single thing will., I have no reservations whatsoever.. So I just finished shampooing and conditioning.. The shampoo was intense.. I could feel it stripping all the oils from my scalp., But the conditioner, then replenished everything., So that's good., And now I'm about to attempt this hair mask real quick.. I really like the feeling of it., It's very, very heavy., Which I like.'Cause. I just feel like. It'S strengthening my hair.. This could be worth it.. This definitely could be worth it.. I did the shampoo and conditioner. And I used the hair mask and the oil treatment all as instructed.. What I am noticing is my hair is like super, shiny and really full., And this is bomb.. So this is dat two hair., I must say it is full and poppin'.. So it's about 5:30 p.m. And my fro has just been out and about all day.. I think it looks pretty sheeny and moisturized., But feeling it. I think it could use another spray or two.. I'M kinda thinking that the shine spray is something that I should maybe keep on hand to kind of re-up throughout the day., But in general I think it looks pretty moisturized.. So the last step is the shine spray., I'm not seeing as many defined curls, but it smells delicious. Okay, so I just took my bonnet off.. My hair is feeling pretty moisturized., But my curls are no longer defined, which is usually what happens by this point. In the week anyway., So I'm going to throw my hair up and use this Edge Control Gel for the first time., So the Edge Control seems to be doing okay.. I do know that it's supposed to get tacky and a little bit more sticky over time., Which will keep the fly-aways down.. So I will keep you posted on that., But my curls up here are also, as I said, undefined. And usually what I'll do is I'll. Just wet a few key pieces and wrap it around my finger using conditioner., I'm gon na try that out with this conditioner., So I used the Smoothing Conditioner to kind of define. Where are my curls. And it did do the trick. See my hair? Now is a little frizzy. We about to try the shampoo and conditioner. And see how it turns out.. So Carrie said to now put the oil treatment in my hair for stylin' purposes., And then I'm gon na put some shine spray in it.. So she said to put it in from the roots and work my way: up., I'm scrunching it in just'cause. I want my curls to be defined., But I mean my hair is lookin' pretty big., So it's pretty close to the end of the day. And I think that the Edge Control is turning white and kind of flaking.. Where are my edges? That'S not ideal.. I mean it has been holding them down., But I'm not really here for all of this. Over the week. I noticed that my hair got a lot more shiny. And especially full.. That was the thing that surprised me, the most., I think I'll definitely continue to use some of these products as a part of my hair routine., I think the shine spray is something that I could always use just to like give it a little bit of oomph. If it happens to start looking limp throughout the week., I would definitely recommend this product to my friends.. I'M really happy that Ulta has teamed up with Gabrielle Union to make this awesome line of hair products for black hair.. I think it's really important to be able to go into a store into any kind of establishment and know that you will find something for you.. I think that this is the perfect line to do that at Ulta and I hope other lines follow. It. ( tranquil music, )

Adalia Coleman: gabrielle union does not age

Midd: I'm all for natrual hair care products, but I can't be the only one that sees that this line sucks? Stripping the hair shampoo, no defined coils, I don't see any moisturizing shine, and that was edge control? Mmmkay .

Sunnie: Freddie is so cute I just love her.

Truth: Such beautiful women

apollo apollo: Her Afro is EVERYTHING to me it's so beautiful!

shocked not shook: I love Gabrielle Union but cmon..this line is trash. I saw little to no definition in their curls. The edge control barely held and shampoo shouldn't strip ALL the natural oils from your hair. I support black businesses but maybe not this one.

Ida B: Yazmin I'm so freaking jealous of your hair

kb: They’re both so cute. Freddie is my bae.

YuniX2: Honestly, I think both of them had more defined curls before using the new product.

F A: I envy black girls for their poppin', fluffy hair. SO BEAUTIFUL!

lenaaaasasquatch: their natural hair is soooo pretty <3 such a shame how society treats something so natural

ryan fire: YES FREDDIE YOU SLAY

Mira Belle: I see Freddie, I click. She's bae ♡

hope hardy: Saw Freddie in the thumbnail and clicked like I do for every video with her

Janelli Marie: I really thought Gabrielle Union would come out with skin care products because she's known for her perfect skin. Glad her hair products work tho.

Tharuni Surukanti: Their hair is so beautiful

Miriam Eclipse: Gabrielle Union, take this product back to the drawing board. its too expensive, it does not work properly (defining curls, providing long lasting moisture, deeply penetrating the hair strand) , & I can bet that alcohol is one of the leading ingredients in these products and you know it dries out Black girls hair!!! Come on Gabby. I know you been permed for a while but don't forget us natural sistas ❤

Amanda Snider: Are there any products out there for hair that can't make up it's mind? My hair sometimes is straight, sometimes wavey and sometimes curls pop up out of nowhere.

Lesha Rose: They both have beautiful hair

Bluntly Blake: It sounds like they didnt enjoy the products but don’t wanna say anything bad about them. Honest reviews help business owners better their formulas for their audience.

FhrizzBall: This review is way too sponsored which is a shame. I didn't care for how the results looked and I feel they glossed over everything and didn't give their true opinion. The fact that there isn't a leave in is a huge turn off but may work if you want to keep your hair straight. I don't see what sets her product apart from others besides the name really...

Brendøn Urie's shøe: i can tell the products weren't actually good

T b: Yazmin is beautiful!! Love her afro

HereIAm247: Sorry, but I think the hair looked better before they used this product. Curls are more defined.

karissa edwards: They're both so pretty !

beautiful weirdo.: I have a hair crush on Yazmin's hair

Laura Fox: Freakin’ beautiful women!

Lesha Rose: Black girl magic ✨

Jada Ony: Gabrielle is everything , I'm so happy to see more women of colour taking over the beauty industry.

Lucía Rodriguez: I wish i had beautiful hair like freddie and the other girl i loooooove the big hair looks so gorgeous!!! Im so glad that brands are getting more inclusive now and all girls can get good products!! Because beauty is for everyone no matter race or color.❤

AestheticBetty: Both of them have such beautiful hair! I'm growing out my natural hair and this is my goal!❤️

Marielle: Both of these girls' hair was much better before they tried these products (which were awful) whatever your hair routines were before, stick to them!

BlackGirlLovesAnime6: The edge control gets really hard once it dries. I used a sample size of it. It was good when I braided my hair but I wouldn't put it on my edges or my overall hair

Tiffany Ann’s: 0:36 that was so cool to hear. When I went off to college I thought everyone around me was going natural as a movement. But with me I stopped because of the cost AND I didn't trust anyone relaxing my hair except my mom.

d montoya: Freddie you should do a video on your hair routine. It always looks so good!

Baylee Malone: Their natural hair is so beautiful I hope they keep it natural for the rest of their lives.

Caymiya: Their hair makes me wanna go completely natural. I haven't had a perm in 7 years but I haven't gotten to the REAL natural point yet. Beautiful curls tho.

Michaela Hooks: I love her shampoo and conditioner and the masque is amazing for deep conditioning

Kenni J: I would love if y'all incorporated more women with dreadlocks in these types of videos. Just to show that side of the natural hair journey.

Ksyjaf Homesszz: Love their hair!! I have a frizzy problem. The only thing to tame the frizzy part is to not use alcohol in the hair products. It helped me a lot.

C. Skeleton: I am a white woman with straight thin hair so I don't know anything about curls but I can honestly say I LOVE black women's hair whether it is in full curls, afro, or braided it always looks amazing and oh so beautiful!

chris Allen: The prices, though, are obscene considering that none of them are unique. Literally every brand makes all of those products! This is coming from someone who HAPPILY drops $30 for 1 jar of gel every couple of months. If I am thinking these prices are stupid, then yeah...

cato.met.een.c: Their Natural hair is sooo pretty!! I love when black women go natural! Rock your real you ❤️

Lesha Rose: Freddie has beautiful hair

beriigirl: They don't look that good. This seems sponsored by Ulta. $19 is nothing to sneeze at. You can get Shea Moisture products for $14, and cheaper at TJ Maxx

Glow_and_Curls Elsie L.: Cant stand hair products line with so little ounces, specially when is design for hair that is thick and dry. It will never last me more than a couple of uses.

Boitumelo Vilakazi: Yazmin lowkey looks like she could be Chrissy Teigen's sister

Lily Raimey: Yazmin's hair is SO beautiful!

Heather: Id love to see you ladies try the carmelux hair care.

doThatGWalk: This product doesn't look that good :/ It looks so over priced & the ingredients don't seem natural enough for me to want to try.

Bobbretta Quarles: I respect the fact Gabbie made her hair line affordable

Belinda Uribe: I got a free sample from beautycon and I've been using the oil treatment and I do feel like it dries it out

Jordan T. Alexander: Im glad there is finally a review in these products. I've been looking and barely found them.

L.R. Red: I was wondering about Gabrielle Unions hair line... so glad they made this video!

Joanna Saad: Is this sponsored? I dont think their hair looked better with the products

rey: just in case y'all forgot, the other girl is cute asf and I respect that she just accepts her big natural hair

Zee X: Please DO NOT, I repeat DO Not do another sponsored video. I can clearly see Freddies hair looks way dryer than normal. Usually her curls and hair is life but not this go around. I feel like your audience comes for honest reviews not advertisement.. Please just.......No

Natalia Maldonado: i love how yazmin was confident enough to film without a bra and be so chill. you go girl.

Briana A: This hair product line is amazing - none of the products claim to "Curl" your hair (her line doesn't even contain a hair butter- it is a wash your hair and here's a masque line) ......the conditioner seems like it isn't going to penetrate but you're going to have to comb it in your hair.......I did use the entire line before I straightened my hair and it was feather/buttaaahhh soft and felt weightless - so amazing....literally felt like I went and got a perm.....tbh I don't really know if they know how to "take care" of their hair.....as evident in this video

Courtney: I love me some Mary Jane Paul lol but uh their hair definitely looked better before the product review.

Sharnika Pritchard: Gabrielle is a queen ❤️

Rick C-137: They have absolutely BEAUTIFUL HAIR already!!

kity fletes: Both of you ladies are gorgeous plus I love your hair as well.. beautiful all around.

Shanté Nazaire: These two women are so beautiful. Freddie will always be my all time fav

Katey Roberts: Love these videos, could you trial diva curl products next

Kyonce: I see a lot of ppl confused by this line. Idk how Gabby is marketing it but this is def a THERMAL line. It works best for silk presses that's why she has blow dry cream and heat protectant spray which are AMAZING btw. The shampoo and conditioner on the other hand needs a LOT of work. The moisturizing shampoo is drying the smoothing one is meh and the conditioners only smell good. This product is only good on weaves or unless you wear your natural hair straight.

Anna Grabowsky: I think the length of Freddie's hair looks really great on her

carlie amado: No shade to Gabrielle Union I luhhh u girl but the products aren't the best if you have 4a/b hair nonetheless she's #blackgirlmagic and #blackexcellence

Drea C: Freddie has the most soothing voice like I feel like I could just listen to her talk

JuaniqueVerde: I didn’t know Gabrielle Union Wade partnered with ULTA for her hair line! Also, c’mon Soror - you gotta clean your bathroom mirror before you record otherwise, the ‘Fro is gorgeous

Kabuki Roll: Their hair is so beautiful!

Shannon Baldwin: Girl crushes!! I love both of them they are beautiful and their hair is gorgeous.

Emily hancock: feels so weird seeing the old pic of Freddie with her hair relaxed - she's fabulous either way but her natural hair looks so gorgeous

Valerie Gonzalez: freddie’s hair is always gorgeous but yazmins hair in this video is so beautiful

issa princess: I swear I love Gabrielle ❤

Kalissa's Life: I have use this stuff and it's amazing I'm a mixed girl but I have black hair so it was amazing

Christine in Nornia: Ladies, both your hair is gorgeous

Jahnell Rich: I wanna try it so bad but after seeing it at the beauty store the price is pretty steep

VJ: Freddie's hair fresh out of the shower

Harley Thompson: Okay so what doesn't make sense is the fact that the products weren't the best/didn't work as well as expected but they still gave a raving review and even recommended other people to go purchase these expensive products. I'm sure there are more affordable products that work far better. I guess it's just an obligation for sponsored videos, seriously a shame. It's not the girls' fault, more so buzzfeed "doing what they have to do", sad.

PinkLemon: "Well sometimes I look like Dee Dee Pickles..." I love how she said it so casually.

1986KillerQueen: Good for you ladies for being honest I know you have to recommend it but you def made it clear that that stuffs not that great <3 kudos bitches!!!!!!!

Natalie Kendel: Fredie should ALWAYS leave her fro free! Beautiful!

shanell's Place: I embrace my natural hair but that hair @ 0:32 is the business straightened and all. They all have beautiful hair.

Marisa Arias: What are Freddie's and Yazmin's hair type, porosity, density, thickness and length? I feel all that info is important to ensure products will work properly on your specific type of hair. It'd be interesting to know so it'd be easier to understand why the products worked the way they did on each hair. I'd love to have a whole series on curly hair, and how the aspects I mentioned affect people's hair routines. Very much needed :)

Amna Javed: Screw what people think....I would legit kill to have hair like those.

Marissa D: Have these women try the new Pantene Gold Series out next!!! It is intended for women of color with natural hair

Alexis Marie: Their hair is beautiful

Lorelai Lemon: They need to market this line to curly women who usually wear their hair straight. If this line was made for women who enjoy wearing their curls out, there would be a curl definer, a leave in, a gel....or SOMETHING. I love Gabby, but she can't give advice to curlies who wear their real hair out on a daily basis.

Liz Rock: Women of color slaaaaay the game Freddie and Yazmin are adorable

BobbieMariee: Beautiful hair!!!

Jess B: Can you do a video testing the E'tae Carmel treatments?? Their ads look like magic!

Emily hancock: gabrielle union is an actual vampire queen - the woman does not age

Fly 3itch 💙: I love Freddie as well but that other girls hair is drop dead gorgeous

PM Snowraven: Two absolutely beautiful ladies! !

nhawahanani: I love your hair both of you!!!!!

Madison Baker: The big Afro is giving me life. Love it

Tonycia •: Beautiful curly hair

Sawsan Hawi: Love their hair!!!

BanaMUA: Some of these products just looked pants tbh but those curls and fros though
