Hey friends, how are you today if you're new here, i am tickled to death, that you're here and if you enjoy what you see here and you have fun with me. I hope that you'll like this video and definitely subscribe if you're back, welcome back, i'm dawn. I'M here every week with a brand new video for women over 40 and women over 50, who just want to look and feel their very best. I hope you'll come over and find me on facebook or instagram at just doing my best, and we have a lot of fun over there. This is part two of my video and having healthy, mature hair. When we're talking about shampoo and conditioner, i hope that you watched the first video part one, because i really gave you a lot to think about and a lot to watch for when you're buying, shampoo and conditioner and things like that. And then this will make a whole lot more sense to you. So today we're going to talk about what to look for at the drugstore. Now, when i think about going to the drugstore, i think about finding really reasonably priced products trying to find something that works. Just as well as the high end right - and you know, if you've looked at walmart target the drugstore, whatever it's kind of hit or miss right, there are some things that you go. This works just as well as that, and then you go um yeah this. This doesn't work just as well. I really want to find a shampoo or conditioner for under ten dollars. Now five bucks would be fabulous, but i want to find one for under ten dollars that is sulfate free is paraben, free and silicone free. I'M gon na tell you it's nearly impossible. Okay, so we're looking through the drugstore, and i really encourage you to keep trying because things change all the time. Companies change technology changes. You never know what you'll find right now. As i sit here, it's virtually impossible to find something at the drugstore that has no harsh sulfates and no parabens and no silicones. So here's what i had to do is i had to decide what was the most important thing for me. I don't really want sulfates, because they're harsh and they're drying and they're damaging. I don't want parabens, because they're toxic right to my body, to my hair, to my scalp. I don't want silicones, because they're essentially coating my hair in plastic right. Nothing good is getting in, and that could be. The reason for excessive hair loss is all of the silicones in the products right had to decide. What was the most important thing for me. So i found these garnier fructis plumping, treat shampoo and conditioner and they're paraben, free and silicone free. So are these perfect? No, but i had to decide what was the most important thing for me. Like i said there are plenty in the drugstore that are sulfate free. There are plenty in the drugstore that are paraben free. There are plenty that are silicone free, it's nearly impossible to find one in cvs, walgreens walmart target whatever. That is all three free, so i decided that the lesser of all the evils you know is the sulfates. So i looked for something without silicones and without parabens. I love the shampoo and conditioner and i'll tell you what i'm doing is i'm using one of the higher end shampoos that i told you about in the last video i'm using this about once a week or so just to give myself a little bit more um Gentle wash right, i'm using this almost every day, using the conditioner almost every day and then, like i said about once or twice a week, i'm using the higher end shampoo, just to kind of balance. It all out a little bit right. Be it a little bit more gentle for my hair, but then the other products that i talked about in part one. Those are the ones that i'm using as my um deep conditioning and what i'm using before i uh blow dry. So, to save a little bit of money, i'm shopping at the drugstore for my shampoo and conditioner, but because i know they're not perfect, i'm just peppering in once or twice a week, one of the high-end shampoos. So i still want to do what's best for my hair, but let's face it. I don't want to break the budget. I don't know about you, but for me i can't spend thirty dollars on a shampoo that i'm gon na have to buy all the time right. So i'm loving these so much. This is my everyday shampoo, my everyday conditioner, then just once or twice a week, i throw in the higher end, but then those higher end products are the ones that i'm using for my deep conditioner, two or three times a month. The um little pea size amount that i'm using in my hair before i blow dry, i'm using the higher end products, i'm not going through those near as quickly. You know you use a lot of shampoo when you shampoo your hair, so these are the ones that are going to cost me the most money if i go with a higher end version. So that's what i have chosen to do. I'M sure that you can find something out there that you love, if you can't find something that is sulfate and paraben and silicone free decide. What'S the most important thing for you, i wanted to think that with dealing with i'm getting older right, my hair is not in the shape that it was when i was in my 20s. I'Ve already got to deal with menopause sister. I wanted to get rid of the parabens. I wanted to get rid of the silicones because it was killing my hair. The silicones were killing my hair, so i chose a product that is paraben free and silicone free, like i said, just pepper in the good shampoo. Once or twice a week, so i hope that's helpful for you. I hope that you found something really good, that you love and check your ingredients. Any good brand is going to tell you right on the label what they're leaving out of their products. Do your research and find what's going to be the healthiest for you, but just remember what i said if you use that higher end shampoo, that is sulfate, free and paraben, free and silicone free if you're like me, you're going to be like. Oh, this is miserable, but the conditioners will make it all worthwhile, so i hope you found something you love that works. For you tell me if this information was helpful and i want you to come back if you take all of that out of your hair products, i want you to come back and tell me just how much healthier your hair is in six months or a year. I can't wait to hear from you be sure to find me on facebook or instagram just doing my best like this video. Please share it with your friends and subscribe and i can't wait to see you next time go out today and be blessed and do your best.

Recipes For A Better Body: Have you heard of Hairitage? I purchased a bottle of their Double Down co-wash in Walmart recently. About $8. The front label says sulfate-free, phthalate free, paraben-free, silicone-free, mineral oil free, color safe, cruelty free, and vegan. It's 13 Oz, and it's working pretty good. Lathers not at all. I imagine it will work better once my hair detox kit arrives and I've gone through that.
