Hey Wig Baes! This is my PCOS ( polycystic ovary syndrome) journey. In this video I discuss my hair loss, hair balding, and hair regrowth . I give a detailed timeline of hair loss and balding, show the products I use and my real results in video, highlighting my regrowth. Video by Kie Rashon

Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional or hair stylist. Information provided in this video is an accelerated timeline and shared from memory. My PCOS only exacerbated my initial and recurrent hair loss. Because I did not start taking any medications until 2018, I was more prone to more hair loss, breakage and balding due to my poor management of my natural hair.

I literally thought that my forehead got bigger because i was pregnant. What i should have been came to you, okay, so we doing this this this. What we're doing we're going to do it? Welcome back to my channel, it's your girl, kyra shawn. So today's video is a little different, we're going to be talking about my pcos journey with hair loss, hair, balding and hair regrowth. Now with that being said, this is a personal journey. For me, i am very protective of myself and putting myself out there um. I know you guys, just like you put yourself out there every day on youtube, blah blah blah. This is a little bit different, because this is actually that's something. That'S you know, it's me, it's something that affects me personally and it's not just me putting a wig on my head, so i'm only gon na say this once in the video tread lightly, when you are, if you think, you're gon na try to be cute or Petty or whatever else this is not the video for you, okay, this is just for informational purposes from my perspective, okay, so i'm not here to teach you anything, i'm not here to suggest anything, i'm just here to tell you what worked for me and to show You some pictures and video of my hair. Okay. I have been suffering with this since 2011, so it's nothing new to me, um and just know that the products that i'm using in this video - that i showcase to you guys are things that i have come to. Like for myself, i know everybody wants to get in the comments and give the suggestions and tell you what you should use shouldn't use, what you should do, what you shouldn't do, if you're eating this don't eat this eat that blah blah just know. This is my journey. I am good where i'm at right now, i'm just showcasing what i'm using okay. So with all that being said, if you're new to the channel make sure you go ahead and subscribe and hit that notification bell so notice, anything else coming up. Also give this video a thumbs up. If you want to see more videos like this one in the future, let's go okay, so where should i begin once upon a time so, like i said, i've been dealing with hair loss since 2011.. That was when i first noticed my first little bald spot in the middle of my crown. At that time i was not aware of anything called pcos or that i had it. I had already had my first son naturally conceived. So there was nothing. You know crazy with that. If you do not know, pcos is polycystic ovarian syndrome. It does cause infertility issues as well as different things like hair loss, male pattern, baldness excessive weight gain excessive facial hair. You can have any one or any two or three of the symptoms, it's a lot more. That goes into it, but these are like the main symptoms. The things that i was you know inflicted with so, like i said 2011 is when i found my first bald spot um fast forward to about 2014. I did do a big chop, because the hair that was on my head was just not it wasn't right. Okay, it was not right, i was wearing wigs at the time um and i just wasn't taking care of my hair. The way i should have been, i still had not been diagnosed with pcos, so i thought it was just me, being you know, lazy, not taking care of my hair, so i literally had like permed hair in the front natural hair in the middle natural hair. In the back, the middle of my hair was just breaking off uncontrollably. Some of the spots were just balding completely. The front of my hair was super straight. The back of my hair was straight and natural. I had a little bit of everything on my head, but my whole head was a mess, so in february 2014 i decided to go ahead and just cut it off and let it go for that big chop. I didn't go like straight big chop. I just kind of cut it pretty short, just to kind of even it up with the middle of my head, not thinking that anything else was wrong. Besides me not taking care of my hair and then in 2015, i started going to a fertility doctor because me and ken ken wanted to have some more kids and it wasn't really working after a year, so come to find out after a bunch of tests. I did have pcos which not only caused infertility but also caused the hair loss, balding um and excess facial hair that i was getting. I didn't get like a lot, but i would get like little hairs like on my neck or whatever nothing crazy, though some women i do know, get like actual five o'clock shadows. They get actual beards. I don't have to deal with that, but i did finally have an answer for why i was having so much hair loss, not only in my crown but also around my hairline. Now i will say when i started losing my hair around my hairline. I wasn't really noticing it that much and i didn't really notice it until july of 2017. After i had the twins um, my hair had grown a lot from the big chocolate 2014 to 2017. My hair was like down my back. I was like so happy, like. Oh, we have natural hair growth going on the set in the third. I was not really accepting that the middle of my hair was just not flourishing. The way that it should have been. I had already did the big chop, so i wasn't planning on doing another. One, but the middle of my hair was screaming for a big chop. It was over me and my shenanigans. It needed help. I was still wearing wigs, but i was still doing protective styling under my hair. Let me just tell you if you don't know how to correctly protective style, you will damage your hair more than actually help it and that's what i was doing. I was incorrectly protective styling, my hair. In my mind, i thought protective style was just putting the cornrows under your hair, protecting your hair under your wigs. I was wearing wigs dang there every day. So why not? So i just kept my cornrows in. I would take my cornrows out wash my hair condition. It slap the cornrows right back in, i wasn't doing anything else outside of that routine. I just kept putting more and more attention on my scalp and my scalp was screaming for me to knock it off. Stop it kai so much so that all of my hair literally, let me show you guys from so see this little line right here on my hairline starts. This was not there. This hair was not there. My hairline literally started here. So all this hair - you see in front of that hairline was not there true story. I literally thought that my forehead got bigger because i was pregnant. What i was like okay, my nose got bigger. My lips got bigger. I guess my forehead got bigger too. No. I was not accepting that i was literally damaging my hair. I was killing off my hair follicles one by one, because i was not taking care of my hair under my wigs. I was not doing what i needed to do. I did what i was supposed to do. I went on youtube. I typed in fast natural hair growth came up with 100 videos with a million views. I bought the big chop and the pre-poo and the poo and the moisturizers from a to z and then the third and i was like i must be the fourth because i'm not getting it. It'S not working for me, okay, so december of 2017. I decided you know what let me just go ahead and big chop again. I don't want to do it, but i'ma. Do it, i'm a big chop again and this time i'm gon na cut it a little bit shorter than i did back in 2014. I still wasn't into cutting it all off. I couldn't do the buzz cut. I wasn't my head not shaped for that. Okay, neither is my face, so i was like you know what i can't i can't commit to that. But i'll do the shortcut. So i cut it a little bit shorter and i also started to use the um kaleidoscope. Miracle drops these little revitalizing miracle drops from you know the real bb judy or whatever on instagram everybody in their mom was buying them. I think they were like thirty dollars when i bought them now. I think they're like 19 or 20. I was buying like two and three bottles at a time because i was running through them joints quickly because i was like you know what i'm seeing all these testimonials. I want my hair to grow like that. Okay, youtube got me going crazy. Instagram got me going crazy. I want the long hair the quickest way. So i put the drops on my hair and i would say from december 2017 to about april 2018. My edges were growing in like they were flourishing y'all, they grew back, they were healthy. I was like oh hello, hairline. I was using the drops in the middle of my hair. However, i still was not taking care of my hair. The way i should have been, even though it was shorter. I still was only washing and conditioning it and not really doing much else after the fact i was just doing like oils or whatever, and just you know, keeping it like that, even though i was watching all the youtube videos, i wasn't really aware of the you Know porosity of hair, you know high porosity, low porosity, normal porosity porosity basically tells you how much moisture um your hair can retain my hair based on you know. The porosity test is between low to normal. I would say more low than normal, mainly normal, like here. In the front, but like very, very low in the middle in the back, because my hair is definitely two different textures um in the front. Half of my hair is very, like i would say, four a ish in the middle and like the back half maybe to like here. I would definitely say it's more like a 4c and then the lower section of my hair. I would definitely give it more. Like a 3c 4a like teeter and more 3c, like it's a very, very loose curl, so yeah, i got different patterns in my hair, so it's kind of like i got to treat my hair differently with all the products that i you know that i was using And again, thanks to youtube, i was using everything i was using all the conditioners leave-in and wash out. I was using all the different shampoos using all the oils, using all the you know, uh the sleeping methods i was on it all, and none of them were working for my hair. My hair was still dry, it was still brittle, it was still breaking off. It was still growing around the perimeter of my head, but the crown of my head was just not it wasn't doing anything, it would like grow and then it would fall out and i kept using the drops around the edges and you know in the middle, but For some reason, when i stopped using the drops in the middle, the hair would just kind of break off, and albeit it wouldn't sustain the length around the edges, though it was fine, but in the middle of my head it was enough. So i was like you know, i'm getting fed up and in december of 2018 i decided to go in and straighten my hair because it had gone a lot in those 11 months and i also wanted to see if i need to do a trim so y'all. I don't know what i was thinking. I don't know what i was doing. It must have been a late night. Maybe i had some wine, i don't know i've looked like lord farquhar. I looked ridiculous, but it let me see that my balding, in the middle of my crown, was even worse than i thought, like y'all. If y'all look at this picture right here, do y'all see this. It widened from the initial cut to this. It got bigger. What like, i can't keep doing this. I can't keep doing this, but i did it anyway. I cut my hair again, okay december 2018 january 2019. I chopped it off again just cut it really really short, as close as i was going to get it without doing a buzz cut and decided to start over, but i was like this time has to be different. I can't keep cutting my hair every year. I can't do it, it's making me go crazy, um, and at this time i was already on youtube. You guys were already seeing me doing makeup and i had just started doing wigs and before you guys asked you can take medication with pcos and with that it does slow down the symptoms of pcos. So it does not make your hair grow back, but it helps you not lose any more. So i do take a low dose of that. It also helps with your weight because you do have excessive weight gain with pcos. It'S something to do with your insulin, like you're, producing way too much sugar things like that. So it's a very frustrating thing to have it's like. Okay. So now i got ta gain weight just by breathing. Candy can't have kids the way that i want to also got ta lose my hair like for a woman, it's just kind of like so last big chop january 2019. I figured you know what this is my last time, i'm gon na do this. I need to get myself together. I need to grow my hair out the best way. I know how okay, so i went back on youtube again. Okay went back on youtube. Looked up all my natural hair gurus tried to find again the fastest way to grow your hair, naturally, but this time not using as many products right. So i found the loc method and the lot method is liquid oil and conditioner. The girl. I was watching saying you know only do it twice a week, that's all you need i'm like okay cool. I can do it, i can do it so i went out and bought all the conditioners and creams and you know oils and got my water together, and i did it did my little twist out and i was like: oh okay, i can do this. This works. I put my scarf on, went to sleep woke up the next morning and my hair was dry that low porosity. I said you know what i can do this, i'm obviously not built for the youtube natural life. I can't i can't she told me one to two times a week, but now you tell me i got ta. Do it every day i should have been came to you. I can't do this every day. Why? Because i don't feel like it. Okay, i'm a lazy natural, but i still tried it. Okay from about six to seven months in 2019. That'S all! I was doing okay llc this llc llc llc llc. I was llc'd out. You hear me, i couldn't do it anymore. I had to stop it. I had to stop it, let it go okay and i actually came up with my new method by accident. My hair had grown long enough that i could do cornrows. I was really excited and i went back to my tried and true baby blue blue magic. Okay, put some cornrows in my hair, and i was like you know what i don't feel like doing my hair right now. I started wearing my pretzels again and i just ended up leaving the hair in for about two months, like literally i, the two months had came and went, and i was like: oh they ain't doing my hair in a while. So let me go and take these out and you know see what happened. Well, what had happened was my hair started growing like y'all, the middle of my hair started growing, like i haven't done anything to my hair, no llc, no extra oils, no extra conditioners, no pre-poo, no poo, no moisturizing! No, nothing and it's growing, my hair, hmm. So that two-month experience of not doing nothing helped me come up with my new natural girl method and it is called leave it the alone, that's what it's called wow, because that's what the heck i'm doing, my hair, i'm not touching it. Okay, don't touch it! That is what's worked for me and i am a huge fan of it. Okay, huge fan so much so that i took out all that excess product all that excess. What junk all that money i was spending on all them youtube products took them out. I also got her sister. This is the castor oil version y'all these two together magic, literally okay. It keeps my hair moisturized, it's only one product. I don't got to do water, oil and conditioner. I can just do grease. Okay, lazy, natural! That'S what i want and i got rid of the kaleidoscope miracle jobs. I wasn't going to spend no more money on that, because that was. I was racking up the coins up, so i did get this from youtube: the jamaican black, castor oil. You can get this from your beauty. Supply store, amazon walmart wherever else, but i use this on my edges only, and i also use it sometimes in the middle of my scalp. This side of my hairline flourishes all the time. I'Ll never have any issues. However, this side right here sometimes i'll, have breakage and i can tell when it's you know when it's breaking off so i'll, just hit it with my castor oil a couple times a week or i'll use. My do grow, hair oil or i'll even use the baby. Don'T be bald hair grease that i got from amazon thanks to my cousin, that she put me onto that for my daughter um, but i actually started using it on my hair as well, and that joint grows hair like this, then i also make sure i take My biotin i get this from walmart. This is the spring valley version and all that being said, i still don't go in and wash my hair for about two to three months. I know some of y'all gon na be like ill. That'S nasty like three months is like pushing it. That'S like the max normally around that two month range is when i'm like. Okay, let me go ahead and wash it. But yes, i literally leave my little dookie platts in my silly plaits in i don't really do cornrows like that anymore, because it just puts too much tension on my hair and i don't want to you know. I don't want to start that breakage routine again. So the first day i normally wash and condition my hair rinse it all out and then just let it air dry, let it sit i'll, do nothing with it. I let my hair rest. The second day is when i go in and detangle my hair and then i'll part it in four sections grease my scalp and then put it in the four you know twist or whatever. Rarely do i do plaits anymore just because i feel like it makes my hair more. You know matted, i do four chunky twists and then i just pin them back kinda like in a french braid style and bobby pin them to the sides there, but more recently, in the last, like maybe like six months, i started to put one plait here in The middle just because i'm learning that the bald spot - that's in the middle of my hair, it grows a lot more when that spot is hidden like it doesn't like to be exposed to the elements. For whatever reason, when i have that section exposed, i start to see more breakage in there, but i think it's because, like you know my wig cap is, you know pulling on that spot or things like that or the wig can be pulling on it or just The tension or just the air hitting my scalp - i don't know it, doesn't like it, it likes to be confined, it likes to be hidden. So i just use this section of hair right here and i plant it up by itself and you know, lay it flat or whatever bobby, pin that down to the back two sections, and i leave it like that. And it stays like that. And when i take that out in like two months, i have more hair growth, i'll see more fuzzies in there, like you know around the sides of it and also in the middle. So i'm like, obviously that's working, not a whole bunch of things. I need to do with my hair. I'M not saying that whoever you watch on youtube is wrong. That may work for them. That may be good for their hair texture. This is just me telling you guys what has worked for me in the last. I would say 15 months and that's what i'm keep on doing now. The shampoo and conditioner that i use is pretty sporadic it's whatever i buy. Is i don't really go looking for. You know certain things. I do make sure that i don't have any type of sulfates in my shampoo, but other than that. I pretty much just use any shampoo conditioner just want to clean my hair out and all the rest of that comes with you know the blue magic and it doesn't build up my hair. I don't get a whole bunch of build up. You know flakiness in my hair, so i'm thankful for that. As you guys have seen, my hair has been through a lot. Okay, it's been through a lot, but look at where we are now i mean not not this okay. This is, this is a little hair piece. This is the hair, but my little ponytail right here, okay, she we got something going y'all. We got something going. We found we finally getting back in that ponytail gang okay, so i'm not mad at her at all. But that's pretty much all i got for you guys if you have any questions or things that i didn't mention in the video or things that you still want to know about, or whatever drop a comment down below i'll, be glad to answer you if you still Have not clicked that subscribe button down below definitely go ahead and do that i'm going to try not try, i am, i will be in the year 2021. I will be doing more natural hair looks on my channel. I want to try to you, know manipulate it. A little bit not too much, though, because, like i said, i don't want to put too much tension on my scalp um, but i do want to manipulate it. A little bit to you know do more styles, rather than just sitting under the wigs, and i also still have a bald spot. I don't think that one's going to grow back. I think this one's pretty much just done and i'm pretty sure that was the first bald spot. I got like that's like the that's the longest one i've had so i think that's why that was kind of like you know, girl we done the hair. Follicles are gone so we'll see how this turns out y'all, i'm excited to try some new things. Okay, but don't forget to like comment, subscribe and share this video also smash that notification bell, so you don't miss anything else coming up. I love you guys so much and i will see you next time. Bye,

Kie RaShon: Hey WIGBAES! *Shop my Amazon Store **https://www.amazon.com/shop/kierashon?ref=inf_own_kierashon_cp** and see Disclaimer in Description*  Finally sharing something very personal to me. I hope you are able to walk away from this video learning something new or more insight into my personal journey.

Mary K. Bella: Thank you for opening yourself up like this, Kie. You will help so many people just from your transparency. But when sis said, _"tread lightly"_ ... I felt that right there! lol

Jenifer Williams: Finally somewhere I fit in! PCOS in 2008…been struggling with my hair since. Depressed, overwhelmed, embarrassed, let down….all the emotions! Glad I’ve found women who can relate. Thank you for your transparency!

Cynthia Gray: I applaud her courage to just keep it real...simplicity is the key when it comes to all hair types...we often can over do it. It’s important to learn your hair & what works for it. Lovely video sis & thanks for sharing

Journi Oya Bast: SIS... I MIXED THE TWO OF THOSE WITH SULFUR 8... I SWEAR BY IT... Menopause took me out... Weakened my hair... I appreciate you so much... Will be sharing your evolution with my daughter... Much love

Just Peachy: Yes! Back to the basics. My closet looks like a hair store from trying all the different hair care products. All that money spent on natural hair products only to find out that hair grease was all that I need.

Jessica D: I've had PCOS since I was 15(it had a different name back then, and when I was 18 I was rediagnosed with what we know as PCOS). As a woman in my 30s, I have excessive hair growth, weight gain, migraines, painful periods, spurts of anger/sadness/depression. It's real!!! I really appreciate my guy for understanding and being patient. I appreciate you using your platform to talk about it. It is specifically a hormone syndrome. We are a whole community out here and no one was really talking about it 10 years ago

Koren M: Thank you so much for this video! I'm currently suffering from male pattern baldness. Thank you also for shedding light on PCOS. I lot of women don't know about. I was diagnosed around 2007, 2008 and it took my husband and I 9 years to have our daughter. I also grow facial hair and struggle with weight lost. I'm currently studying to become a personal trainer and my focus is going to be women with PCOS. God bless!

b3aut1fulchernell: So great to see someone I can relate to. My hair looked just like yours. I am going to hair specialist and she recommended D3 vitamins and and super B complex. for the hair black castrol oil with peppermint. The middle of my hair has grown so much in 4 months. Im so happy. Look forward to seeing more videos like this

DaniElle Davis: Thank you for bringing this to the light. I've been suffering from PCOS since I was teenager. That's been a looong time. I like how you touch on everything that goes on: hair loss (on your head), hair growth where it shouldn't be on women, weight gain, difficulty losing weight, infertility etc.... All of that is depressing to say the least and it does mess with your confidence as a woman. What's even worse is when you have a significant other that doesn't get it. But they got advice (complaints): do something with your hair, shave your face, stop eating and you'll lose weight... I've spent lots of money, time and gone through painful crap to do all of that for myself. It's not my choice to have facial hair and a receding hairline. I would've liked to have the ability to plan when and if I wanted children. But I do Thank God for blessing me with my son! And I didn't have to go through all of the "extra" means that doctors said I would need to do. Anyway, thanks again for posting. I used to think that I was the only one going through this, but that's because no one was really talking about it.

Muggy Webster: I lost my hair when I turned 35 and was diagnosed with PCOS. It was very traumatic. My new hair came in so different. I do still (20 years later) lament the loss of my old hair. I didn't start putting on the weight until a few years later. I hope you are spared from that fate. You look so beautiful!! Thanks for sharing your story and bringing awareness to this syndrome.

L: I can only imagine how difficult and frustrating that must have been. I'm glad you got the answers/treatment you needed and found a method that works for you. Congrats on your progress!

Izzuore: Thank you for your transparency!! My journey is very very similar to yours, and I also had to leave my hair alone before it really started growing!! You definitely gave me some additional tips, and Im thankful for you Sis! Love you and continue to be a blessing!!❤

Michelle Appiah: I absolutely ADORE how authentic you are Kie! Thank you so much for sharing this video. Your progress is just remarkable! I'm sitting here all engaged with your vibe like you can hear me through the damn video haha. Kudos beautiful!

Linda Johnson: I’m so glad for you, Baby Girl. Our mother used to put that Blue Magic on our scalps when my sisters and I were little. It was life!! I still have some. She used to also tell us to “leave your hair alone” and “just let it breathe.”

MsCsunshine: Lesson learned: Every hair journey is personal and do what works!!

Mary Boyd: Your dilemma is exactly what I’m going through for quite some time, I’m 61 never too old too learn, don’t know how I stumbled upon your video but damn Im glad I did. Thanks for the info!

frankelijah1: I have not (yet) been diagnosed with PCOS but Honeeyy, You are my Hair Twin! Where you're thin, I'm thin, Your Struggle is MY Struggle! Thanks for your openness my Sister from another mister! Seeing my OBGYN soon and will inquire about PCOS.

D. Edison: This PCOS thing is definitely a journey! I was diagnosed last year. For YEARS I couldn't understand why my crown was falling out. I doubt it will ever grow back, but I'm now on medication to regulate it, and hopefully maintain the hair I still have.

Vee Hinton: Girl...you out talked me and I can talk. I am loving this video and your personality. My hair loss is related to hormonal loss from menopause. No one tells you about it and I am going to moisture my hair with grease. Thank you

Sachel Samone: Kie, I’m so proud of you! Not only are you fine as wine, but Your transparency will help soooooooo many people! And grease life is the best life!!! You go girl!

Danielle Legree: Thank you for sharing your journey and being vulnerable. I'm a hairstylist who is currently going through this and I felt like how can I even give people hair advice when I'm not in order myself. I definitely relate and love your personality I'm definitely subscribing and can't wait to see more of your videos ❤️

Nourish Your Crown: Thank you for sharing your story! I saw this video about one week after I was diagnosed with early scarring alopecia (plus I have PCOS - gotta love it :|) about six months ago after losing my crown. Since then, I've been on a six-month journey of healing my body from the inside out with nutrition and my hair is growing back. No visible balding. I'm starting to document my journey, what I'm learning, and eating, etc. on my youtube channel. This is a hard journey but we will get through this!

Sunflower._. Crystal: Just when I thought I was the only one experiencing this and there was no hope sis nailed everything ❣️

Pansy Robbins: I feel yah. I went back to my roots, too. Royal Crown rules all day everyday! Thanks for the update and encouragement and sharing your thriving hair journey! Small world, my hair began to thin out in 2011, also! What an awful reality to have in common. LOL :+}

Ebonee Onyx: Thank you for this video.. Woke up this morning with ANOTHER round of shedding/thinning (and this time I have locs) and was going THROUGH it! You've made me feel so much better

Carmen Coulter: It’s so funny I came across this. God bless you Queen for sharing your story. Definitely blessed me. After all the products I’ve been trying since I’ve gone natural, something told me to go back old school and try the hair grease again because back in the day my hair always stayed thick, healthy and moisturized as a little girl. I purchased the Doo Grow blue grease and it works better than any of the oils, butters and creams I’ve purchased. Like you I still think there a lot of AMAZING natural hair products but I’m realizing for my hair type I don’t really need all of that. I also have 3 hair types on my head too 4b, 4a and maybe 3c….lol… not sure. I’ve definitely been a protective hair style guru especially with crochets. Although my hair did grow healthy with them I wore them for so long I didn’t notice my edges slowly being affected by them. I’ve definitely cut back on crochets and braids. I tried box braid’s at the beginning of the summer after 15 years and when I started wearing them I immediately started noticing my edges being snatched just a little AGAIN. I don’t think getting the braids done on bone straight hair helped either. It just made it more vulnerable to breakage. I really learned a lot and received confirmation from your video to just keep the crochets and braids to a minimum as much as possible and just leave your hair alone. Thanks lovely

2_face_cosplay On IG: I was diagnosed about two weeks ago and its reassuring and heartbreaking at the same time that our journeys are very similar. Thanks for your transparency.

Anna Nicole: I watched this 3 months ago and restarted hair grease after watching. It has helped so so so much. Thanks for sharing your journey with us and u are a lifesaver

Bald and Beauty: Kie, I can 100% agree and relate to everything you said. I was diagnosed about 2 years ago. Having PCOS feels very degrading. It’s hits us in all the areas we want to feel most confident about. It’s something I wish no women had to go through. Thank you so much for being so transparent and open

ADM: Thank you for this video. I appreciate the fact of knowing I’m not alone...this journey of PCOS and all its resulting symptoms has been overwhelming, depressing, lonely and the like. I have a wonderful husband who does his best to be here and be supportive but there is nothing like another woman who has experienced the exact same thing ❤️. Thank you truly

LaToya Lawson: I love this! Thank you, Sis, for opening up and sharing with the world your hair journey!!

Alexiane And All of the Above: This is my journey for the past 5 years exactly! I realized the other day that my freshman year of college beeswax, blue magic, and flat twist had my hair growing so fast as long as i left it tf alone thank you so much for this

Uduakobong Victoria Ezekwe: Thank you for this video! I've wondered what's going on with my hair. Like you lately I just took out conrows I left on for about3 months n voila, my balding spot at my crown actually grew for the first time. I've learnt a lot from this video. Thanks again.

Robyn Smith: I so appreciate you for putting yourself out there like this. I have had the exact same issues, but I have never been diagnosed with PCOS. My crown is completely bald now, it’s strictly wig life for me. Not that I want anyone to experience the same things I have but I do feel less alone. Thank you for being who you are, brave!

M C: I'm so glad I found your channel. My hair looks like this for a decade. After I had my baby it made it even worse. I have been dealing with alopecia for a while now and I'm 34. I love your vibe. New sub and going through a binge through all your videos. Lawd I'm going back to this hair grease. Its very true that the middle of my hair doesnt like to be exposed too!! Smh ..thanks so much for this. I'm glad I'm not alone

Shannon Johnson: Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I know it wasn’t easy and you have given me some hope that maybe I can get my hair back on track. I really appreciate you

Sheridan Ruth: It's easy to see so many people hiding their hair loss and running from the reality of it. It's really refreshing to get to a space like this where many others are just willing to share their process, and stories, and experiences. Thank you for sharing your own, and for providing a space for many others that want to speak about it too. This sense of community is very valuable.

Katrice Horton: Love this video you made. Helpful. Love your honesty and enthusiasm. Recently I have told myself this with leaving my hair alone. I use to do that with having single braids. Recently transitioned to dreads due to the pandemic and wanting something different to do with my natural hair.

Bonnie: The reason why I wear wigs is because I’ve lost around 60% of my hair. I’m 27 and started losing my hair when I was 15. At this point I don’t worry too much about it, but I’m always open to try new things, especially if they are natural. I’m glad you found something that works for you! And you look as beautiful as ever ❤️

Katherine ._.: I've been diagnosed with pcos since 2011, 3 yrs of infertility and losses, before my son came along. The fact that you said your nose got bigger during pregnancy, was exactly what I said! Everyone said no, but I saw my nose change. My hair is still thinning in the front and middle. Some areas are bald, I thought it was from hair clips and ponytails. I hope I find a solution soon.

danette chavis: Thank you for this video! You had me dying laughing with all your humor and your transparency is breath taking. You are helping so many people - thank you for being you!!

Katrina Massey: Thank you for sharing your story. I never knew this about PCOS. I'm glad you're on the grow. "Leave it TF alone!" I HOLLERED! Girl, I think many of us have discovered that method after YouTube. Went natural in 2010 and was done with YouTube by 2012. I said to myself, "We didn't do all this when we were relaxed and we're not about to go through all this now that we're natural."

Coronda Turner: Yep. It is hereditary. It runs in my family. My hair did get to that extreme. I have issues around my edges a little but too much for me. It caused a serious issue with my insulin. I had to start eating low glycemic foods to drop weight. My weight starting falling off. I have lost 30 lbs in 6 weeks and I am back to my normal what 149 at 5'6" tall.. Of course I workout as I always have. PCOS can cause Diabetes and a lot of other health issues. Eating correctly will help with your hair growth alone with the right hair care. Heads up: BIOTIN is good for hair growth BUT it can definitely causes WEIGHT GAIN and ACNE. I stop messing with BIOTIN!!!!

Space Dancer: As a person with PCOS I love this video! The only time I lost hair in the middle of my crown was due to my stress. I remember waking up and my hair was laying on my pillow. I lost it and broke down. 2 years later I went natural and my hair grew back and it’s the healthiest and longest it’s ever been. Other than that I have always been werewolf hairy. Head, shoulders, knees and toes knees and toes! My edges Damn near grow an inch to my eyebrows like they are waiting a few years to connect!!! I have to get extremely painful laser hair removal treatment on my neck and chin or else I look like speedy Gonzales with a bread and connecting mustache... it’s not that bad but in my mind it could be. So with the laser treatment and being natural and exercise I feel good and look “natural”. I never could carry my babies full term and almost bleed to death my last miscarriage, it was then I was diagnosed with PSOC. Even though it’s been hard God still blessed me, my hair grew back and I became a mom anyway. It’s been hard losing weight and I have to consume less calories than the average person and exercise 5 days a week but it has helped me and it’s better than me being in the hospital from heavy non stop bleeding and crazy weight gain.

Living With Autoimmunity: Yes! Leaving my hair alone, keeping it watered like a plant & richly loved with oils. It grows & thickens much faster.

Jennifer Nolen: Right on time for me!! Thank you for sharing. PCOS is doing a number on me lately with several changes. Trying to stop hair growth in some areas and get my hair growing in other spots, and it is exhausting.

Adrienne Grammer: Hi Kie, Thank you for being an inspiration to me in my wig journey. Loved hearing your story. #queen

Adrienne Bibb: Hey girl! Thank you so much for sharing your story. And yasss, I am a lazy natural too! My hair loves blue magic too.

Dana Foster: ♥️ Thank you for being vulnerable, Kie. I’m going to begin the PCOS and fertility discussion with my doc on Monday and am so nervous- hence why I’ve been quiet on YT lately. Glad that you found a regrowth regimen that works for you... blue magic is the truth!

Shannon Broughton: You’ve just given me and my hair so much hope, thank you so very much for sharing such a candid video

Dionne Bearden: Thank you so much for this video and for letting yourself be vulnerable enough to share. I have been going through the same issues. It is hereditary but since we have been on "lock down" my hair has thickened up alot with my crochet braids and no perm but the middle balding is still very much present.

PalomaBagel: I've been diagnosed with PCOS last week - finally an explanation for my hair loss. Reading "period repair manual" by Laura Briden now. Watching strong women like you helps a lot! Thanks for the video!

Brianna: I love your energy!! Just diagnosed with PCOS and have noticed my hair thinning for years

Symbricke Lindsey: Hi Kie! Let me just say that watching this video has enlightened me. At 52 years old, I too have/am experiencing the exact hair loss as you. My crown is the mirror image of yours, and as of the recent 6 months my right side edges has fallen out, and my left side nape. I can no longer wear top knots or up swept ponytails. Huge upset for me. Also, like you, I’ve tried countless products to try to regrow my hair, none of them has worked. I am diabetic and hypertensive, both controlled. I attributed my hair loss to the medications that I take. Watching your video is the first time I’ve heard of PCOS. THANK YOU BABY SIS! I will definitely do more research about PCOS and consult my doctor about it. I AM RETURNING TO THAT GOOD OL’ BLUE MAGIC! I’ll definitely keep you posted with before and after pics. God bless you. Keep being informative!

Living In Purpose: I am sooo grateful and thankful you made this video because I'm only 4 months into my natural hair journey and I've spent so money on products and my hair was hard and ridiculous. My blue magic hair grease is my go to. Girl thank you for this video thank you thank you.

Bose Akin: Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your story. You are definitely a very strong lady and I appreciate your strength. We need more people like you out there. Thank you ❤️

Rachel Long: I love you so much for making this video! I have been trying to figure out what in the world is going on with my hair. Thank you for the pictures you showed as well because that’s how my hair has looked. I’m so much more encouraged seeing how your hair has grown. Could you possibly do a video where you show some styles that you can where on top of the plats that you braid underneath a wig or extensions? Thanks again for doing this video, I’m going to go get the blue magic today

Jaell: Let me tell you... My daughter and me do the exact same thing. Our hair doesn't like too much handling. We cornrow our hair and leave it for months before wash and re- grease. We noticed growth too. We figured that out a while back.. glad you found the truth..

Mimose Montes: I applaud you and thank you for sharing your story as well as so many other women in this thread. I relate to this on so many levels. I just got diagnosed with scarring alopecia. Because the left side has damaged hair follicles and the the right side it thinning out way too much. However, while trying to understand it more, came across another youtuber who discussed PCOS and scarring alopecia. Would have never even thought the two could be related. I was diagnosed with PCOS in my early 20s but sure I had it as a teen. Also have had thinning hair in my crown for quite sometime but never thought anything of it… Praying to know the best way to move forward. Probably need to chop my sisterlocks off.

tetebabymo: I have hair crown issues as well..I wash every 2 months, use sulfur 8 and Dax grease every other day and crotchet braids. Works for me,Thank you for sharing your journey.

Asha: It’s such a relief to know I’m not the only one going through this, I have the exact same bald spot, however I have not done any test for PCOS, thank you for sharing, I feel so much better. Xx

Dina: I am soooo happy I found you. I have pcos and I started to experience my hairline going back and when I say I cried about it….my hair has grown down my back but I’m so insecure about my hairline I refuse to wear my natural hair especially because I ALREADY HAD A HUGE FOREHEAD! I can’t wait to try your method and see if it works for me because I am just as you were trying everything on YouTube and nothing works. ☹️

Jenny Jones: I love how you showed the process! This was awesome!❤️

Amma Amma: I have suffered exact same issue for about 3yrs . And is frustrating. I have learned to live with it. I’ve started seeing growth after starting platelets tonic juice I found after some research. Go gal. So proud of you for opening up.

TheKaiChee: Omg!!! I feel like you literally told my whole journey!!! I had no idea anyone else went through ALL of the same exact things and around the same time. This suffering in silence stuff man. And then I had never heard of PCOS until fertility problems as well. And the natural hair journey and the products. And big chops!!! Sis!! My first time finding your channel and I feel like we sisters. Lmao. Thanks for the vulnerability. My middle is still going through this. Mine slowed down when I went back to hair grease as well. Bout to go check out blue magic!! Thank you so much Queen! You are beautiful and so is your story.

September Love: I swear its like dammmnn, PCOS ain't got no chill! How you want to grow hair where its not supposed to be but make me bald where hair supposed to grow? Make it make sense?!

Flora Y Gibson: Hey Kie. I just saw this video and I learned from your honest testimony that you don’t have to buy expensive products. My hair started being thin in the middle and I was told maybe it’s from menopause. I will definitely try the Jamaican Black Castor Oil. I also pray all is well with your family. Be Blessed.

Deshaun Love: Your story I can so relate!! I too have pcos! This last go round my hair was thick! Went and got it pressed twice! The second time all of my hair broke off! Finally about 2 weeks ago I said no more! I went and got my hair braided. The girl used blue magic and baby don't be bald and she said that's all you need lol. And yes leave it alone!. I am now a subscriber!

Renee Ivory: Thank you Kie this was very informative. I suffer from alopecia areata and it’s difficult and frustrating losing my hair but you’ve proven hope is not lost.. God bless you and keep on doing your videos

Ladonna Purl: Thank you for this video...I was doing the same thing...running out to get this that and the third for my bald spots....natural this and natural that...it took awhile for me to realize my hair just can't be bothered like that...less is more for me...less manipulation less products less expense...my hair loves the LOC method with Argan oil or just regular grease...I'm using a hair grease called Alopecia hair growth that is working well...for my itching scalp I use good ole Sulfur 8...thanks again for this video

Sabrina: ❤️❤️❤️ sending love as a woman living with PCOS. PCOS has caused me to have some hair thinning, but I also struggle with the weight gain and the terrible adult acne. Thanks for sharing your journey!

Vera: Yes, the key is finding out what works best for YOUR hair. No two heads are the same! Keep it moisturized...hair likes water...just like the body!

Tamara Mc: First, I like to say thank you for being so open about your journey.. So many women are experiencing hair loss and it is an extremely emotional ordeal. Also, I sincerely wish you well on your hair growth journey. I went through something back in 2019 myself, cried, prayed and was led to a few unorthodox products, items just at your local Target, CVS or Walmart, nothing you see on YouTube or Instagram, and have started my regrowth process. With that being said, ladies keep searching, keep reading, keep believing. If I had left it up to my dermatologist I would have been completely bald.

Chaka Starkes: Great video boo!!! I LOVE when YouTubers say to do what works for YOU! Everything is not for everybody and that’s okay! So happy I found your channel. God bless.

Constance Moore: I'm going through something similar. I'm in my 60's. I got a bald spot about 3-4 months ago. When I was younger my hair used to be nice and thick but I've been real lazy with my hair. After I got in my '50s my hair started thinning around the edges because I used to wear a lot of braids but I didn't notice any thinning of balding in my crown. I was wearing wigs and hair pieces and the latter part of 2021 and the beginning of '22 I wasn't combing or shampooing my hair and I wasn't moisturizing it like I should cuz I moved out to Vegas in 2019 and it's really hot out here I wasn't drinking a lot of water and I wasn't moisturizing my hair I have 4C hair basically but it may be sort of like your hair like different textures and different areas but the bottom line is I was real lazy with doing my hair and my hair fell out so now I'm trying to get the hair in the bald spot to grow back. I can't relate to some of the things you talked about in this video are your hair experience but I don't think I have PCOS I may have alopecia so I'm going to try the Blue magic and also I'm in the process of losing weight and eating cleaner and I'm going to see if that would help. Again thanks a lot for the video.

M. Nash: I almost cried watching this. This spoke to me so much. Thank you so much for this!

GuessWHOsGoing2Jail2Nite: Thank you for posting this. I’m glad you found what work for you and that your hair is recovering. My hair is the same way, low manipulation is the key for me. I will keep my hair braided for weeks on end and when I remove my wig at night I hit my hair with some water, castor oil and some leave in and when I finally take down the cornrows in a month or two I have so much new growth. One time I got a lil too lazy and left it for too long and had dreads by the time I took my hair down but that’s another story.

Sweet Tee: Wow this is what I've been going through over a couple of years. Thanks so much for sharing your story it's much appreciated.

Wonder Russ: Amen and thanks my friend and I were just talking about the power of blue magic and leaving your hair alone. I have the same issue with my hair breaking off in the middle. You’re absolutely right and spot on. Thanks for this video

Dee Goss: Thank you Queen. This video is everything. Definitely trying haha it’s funny how simple a fix can actually be.

KidzRRelevant2: Alopecia victim for more than 40 years. I've tried everything except for the old standard, hair grease babygirl. After your video I'm inspired to work to make and keep what I have left healthy. BlueMagic ! ...Amazing! Thank you. Ms Tina

India Carter: Let me tell you something. You are HILARIOUS, I can watch and listen to you all day. I know this had to have been incredibly difficult for you to go through but I appreciate your comedic delivery..

Stephanie Reeves: Loved your video ❤️. I have PCOS too. I know the struggle all too well. Love your personality, you had me dying the whole video

MyRoots2Deep7075: Hi! I'm late to the party, but wanted to let you know I appreciate you sharing your journey with PCOS/ hair loss. I actually grew up using Queen Bergamont and Blue Magic. I only have one question....with the LITFA method, are you only oiling your scalp when you wash your hair, or are you taking your twists down to oil only and retwisting?

Cathiya Alexis: Thanks for sharing your personal PCOS Journey. I suffer from PCOS also you made me feel better about my hair. ❤️❤️❤️. Thanks is not enough blessings

Sakita Clark: I appreciate you so much for being transparent. There are so many of us that suffer in silence with hair loss. I have always enjoyed your bubbly spirit, but I love you even the more for being R.E.A.L with your subbies! I'm going to start the blue magic journey also. Thank you Kie!

Serah Loves Joy: Sincerely, God bless you. Really amazed and thankful for your transparency. It can definitely be scary to see excessive breakage in your hair and so thank you for this video and sharing what works for you. Thank you!

Chylawn Gates-Jackson: SISTER!!!!!! This HAS to be theeee best hair video that I have watched! Thank you for you information, advice and MOST OF ALL…your transparency! I look forward to more! ♥️

Brittany Williams: I'm just glad I seen this. I've been in denial about my pcos for years and tried so many different things. Seeing your story has made me feel better

Tatiana C: Really love your transparency ❤️ it's a scary thing going through this, especially as a black woman.

SER MCMINN: Sadly my hair Loss started in my early 20's!! I am in my mid 60's and no longer worry about it! Thank you for talking about this Severe Hair Loss problem!

Shirl B: “TREAD LIGHTLY” That was the BEST opening ever! I must say, you have truly shined your light. Thank you Beautiful for sharing. A great help for me. Continued Blessings

Jacquie Rhodes: Wow, Kie, that was an amazing story. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your hair journey, a journey that so many people are on but would prefer not to share so openly. No doubt it's easy to share stories when your hair is growing, it's healthy, and you've overcome the the problems with your hair. But it takes a lot to actually walk people through and show them exactly what you are dealing with, especially when it's so personal. Congratulations that your hair is actually growing the way you want it to, and it's getting healthier, that is a wonderful feeling. I appreciate your courage and all of the information you shared. Additionally, I've heard a lot of people say they've gone back to using Blue Magic and that it works wonders. I use it myself from time to time because I deal with some of what you are experiencing. Nonetheless, your story will help so many people in their journey to obtain healthier hair. Best of luck, and again, Kie, thanks for sharing

La Chelle Williams: Thank you Kie so much for this information I have never heard of that before. I’m so sorry you had to go through that but I’m happy that you found something that’s working to bring your hair back.

Nikki Bryant: My first time seeing this video and I admire you. I'm always embarrassed about my thin edges and you're a trooper

Saun Dra: I was having breakage at my crown too and heard someone mention circulation. I started inverting myself and the breakage stopped! I agree with you about grease too. I started using sulfur8 and it works wonders! Thanks for sharing your journey.

Neat Neet Marie -: Thanks for sharing your journey, I too struggle with crown balding and have noticed that it has spread, I’m glad to see I’m not alone in this struggle .

tlovely721: @Kie RaShon Thank you so much for sharing your story. At this point, I’m willing to try ANYTHING !!! Definitely headed to the beauty supply store tomorrow

Carmen Douglas: Thank you soooo much for this!! I am visiting (now subscribed), because I saw your Goddess braid reel on IG. God knew I needed to check you out further because your story is EXACTLY mine. I stopped perming and did initial chop and 2010. As you said, it has gotten wider and I have tried every product except Blue Magic which I use on my granddaughter’s hair. Thank you again and I pray continual blessings to you
