Hey guys, what's up, it's Queenie here, welcome back to my channel, so today I'm gon na be showing you how I achieve extreme hydration for my type 4 hair. This is a routine that I've done. This is the second time that I've done it and the first one I didn't I was like. I need to show you guys this, because it almost changes. My hair texture, it's so like hydrating dude. What I mean my hair is naturally very dry and coarse, and when I do this, it's silky smooth and soft and detangled, and it's like magical. It keeps your hair hydrated for a long period of time. If you're gon na wash your hair in two days, I wouldn't recommend doing this because it's pretty strenuous and it contains like there's a lot of product in it and you don't want to just be washing that out every other day. So if you need to keep your hair hydrated, while in a protective style like a wig or something like this, like a ponytail or braids, or some two strand twists that you want to keep for like two weeks, something like that. This is long-term hydration and it works make sure you hit the subscribe button down below before we start because it is free and if you're already subscribed. Thank you for doing that and coming back to my channel. So let's get started alright, so the first important step in this process is washing your hair. It'S good to get rid of any old product. That'S been sitting in there. Allow it to be clean. So then your hair is ready to absorb the new product. That is going in so I'm using the diva curl, no poo decadence to clean my hair strands itself and it's sulfate free, moisturizing, shampoo and then I'm going in with the diva curl buildup buster. And I'm using this on my scalp to get it squeaky clean and get rid of any build-up. That'S going on all right! So after I have scrubbed my hair and washed it properly and made sure everything is good. I obviously go ahead and I rinse it out. Make sure you get your edges because you know sometimes edge control likes to be a little stubborn. So I make sure I get everything and then I rinse it out thoroughly and then I move on to the actual product application. So I'm using the Shea Moisture, strengthen and restore treatment mask. This is one of my favorite products ever I am extremely generous when applying this product, as you can see, and then I apply that to my hair and make sure it gets everywhere. Every single piece of hair needs some of this, like it has to go everywhere, so I'm very generous, as you can see, I'm adding even more and I'm making sure that I get it on every piece and then I go ahead and if I need to, I Will dunk my head in some water just quickly not enough to rinse it out but enough to just wet it, so it makes it easier to spread the product so as you can see the products in there, but it's not really spreading very easily. So I just go ahead and I wet my hair a tiny little bit just like that, and it makes it easier for me to spread it through. So now, I'm using a wide tooth comb to comb it. So I can detangle and make sure that the product gets on every single piece of hair. When I tell you has to get everywhere, it needs to get everywhere. So I take my time: detangle spread it through and make sure every piece of hair gets some love and some moisture and hydration you know so it looks so good and juicy right now. This is why I love this product, all right, so moving on, I just stepped out of the shower, and now it's time to add the oil. To my hair, I choose to use extra virgin olive oil. I like to infuse my oils with herbs, but that's a whole nother video, so we can just stick with regular olive oil today and clearly, I'm just pouring that in my hair I use a lot. I probably use about half a cup of oil throughout my whole head, which is quite a bit, but it's okay, it saturates nicely, and it gives my hair so much strength. So I just pour that in my hair. I abuse it. I mix it through. I make sure it gets everywhere. I massage my scalp. I make sure it gets to the ends of my hair at the back the front everywhere. So I really really really take my time and then again I go through and I comb it. So it's nice and soft and you guys can see it is just living. My hair is just it felt so good. So this is just how I like to do it. You can see my hair looks so bouncy and shiny and, like I always say when my hair is very very hydrated, you will notice that there's barely any frizz, so I'm just pulling it back and slicking it. So you guys can see how smooth my curls are. How smooth my hair is, how smooth like the texture is? There'S not one piece of hair sticking out in the front: there's not a little halo of fuzz. It is hydrated from the inside out, so it looks really great and smooth. So now I'm gon na move on to the next step and we're gon na get this ready to sleep with. This is an overnight thing guys. This is not a quick, you know, so I'm covering my hair with a shower cap. You can use a plastic bag if that's all you have, and we are securing this on our heads for the night time, if you don't have time, do for a few hours and then continue, but I like to sleep with it. So I secure the front with a hair tie. Then it cover it with my bonnet, so we're extra, secure and then we're off to bed alright. So the next day is quick and easy. I obviously just remove all this extra stuff on my head. I take off the shower cap and then I go ahead and I'm going to rinse this case. So this is key. I'M going to rinse this very, very, very lightly, like so brief, like 1/2 rinse in the water and squeeze out the extra water, and that is it. This is how much product you should have in your hair. Afterwards, it almost looks like you were, to put like a leavin or something like that, so it's not as saturated as it was before, but it is still very much there, so I'm just squeezing out any excess water, and then that is it. I leave everything else in I leave in all that oil. I leave in all that hair mask product, it does not get like thick and gunky. I don't know why. I don't know it really works with these two. The combo is amazing, so you guys can see my hair doesn't look nasty. It looks soft and shiny and strong like so I basically just braid it up and let it dry like this and then I put it under my wig or I do my styling with it whatever it is, it looks amazing and it will stay hydrated for days. I'M not even playing with you guys, so definitely try and let me know what you think so that is it for this video. I hope you guys enjoyed that my hair. After doing that is perfection you guys saw how juicy it was when I was combing it like smooth. It stays soft for about a week, maybe a week and a half, maybe 10 days. Tech thing I would say so it is a very long term and your hair will stay hydrated. I promise if you try this. Let me know comment in the description box. Let me know how it works for you. If this is something you already do, comment down below share with us, what you do to keep your hair hydrated for a long period of time, this is my new routine and it's done wonders so that is it. I hope you guys enjoyed it, make sure you thumbs up, comment, subscribe and I'll see you guys in the next one bye,

Rubyred9057: TIP...let your strands saturate in water for 5 minutes before adding shampoo, you will see a noticeable difference in your hair moisture level.

Rachel: I have 3c 4a hair but, watching the water run thru your textured hair was so satisfying to me I love how thick and dense your hair is

Lorraine Goma: Let me find out because my 4C hair be looking parched

CurlsOfDbrave: You brave for wearing a tank top in the shower. Soggy clothes on me is something I absolutely DESPISE lol

Princess CherryBlossom: YOU ARE A GODSEND! I tried it and after letting it sit for only 2 hours, my hair has NEVER felt so hydrated and it cut my detangling time in HALF. I'm obsessed with this mask now

Shamz: I tried this method 2 nights ago and it works! I used a different oil but the same hair mask. I only left it in for 2.5 hours instead of overnight and I still notice a huge difference in moisture. Thank you!

Nahomy Milembamane: The mask with olive oil is the most powerful combo!!!! Been using it for two weeks and it makes managing ur hair ten times easier!

Malicious Conspiracy: *I’ve been using deep conditioners in my hair like a leave in for about a year, and nothing bad happened.. my hair actually have grown & it makes my hair soft. I do use leave in sometimes to switch it up*

HotPlasma: Great product combo. This mask is a personal favorite. And I can see how totally moisturizing it would be for the hair when combining it with oil. However, I wonder how the scalp would fare long term if this routine is used on a regular basis. As someone with super sensitive scalp, mine would start itching crazily after an hour or 2. And I know this from experience after being lazy rinsing out deep conditioner or other mask from my hair within the recommended duration. My stylist had also warned me, citing scalp wellness, against leaving certain products on the hair and scalp longer than what they are intended for. So will definitely try this combo but will rinse out within the time recommended for the mask.

Millennial Black Girl: Definitely try this with deep conditioners and oils of your choice! Let me know how it works for you! This combo is amazing in me hair so I definitely recommend it! I wouldn’t recommend using an intense treatment mask. It may create an overload on your hair. Try to do this with products that are more natural!

Maria Rossi: Your hair looks incredible to me. Amazing that you only rinse it in the morning and don't shampoo it off. I'm nervous to try the olive oil on top for fear that it'll make my hair look too greasy. Yours looks amazing and you've definitely found the sweet spot for sure!

natural7ly: Your hair is so thick and beautiful! Looks like low porosity. Glad this works for you. Go Sis!

Living On Purpose 🌻: I love the Shea Moisture deep conditioning masque. That’s the same routine that I do too but I don’t add any oil.

L I: Thank you a 1000 times. You saved my hair!!! This works so well.

Mocha_Goodness: You have reminded me that I need to get back into doing this. I used to do this religiously every 2 weeks for me and my daughter's hair. But I got lazy. I miss that moisture.

Simple Creations: I'm here for the tea cause my hair be tripping lol like how can you be dry and oily at the same time bruh, pick one SMH

Toya’s life Her way: Thank you so much! I just about do the same routine minus the added olive. But I will definitely try this out. Awesome routine

CurlyV SeedStar: That is my favorite mask!!! I add extra virgin olive oil and jbco to it leave it for 30 min and it works wonders I'm multitexture 3b-4a. I love your hair by the way. I have always been natural so I love and appreciate curls all kinds I love curls and your hair is a bomb!!!

Chelseygooner: Don’t do this often, you’ll break your hair off. You can keep moisture in your hair by wearing your hair in small braids/twists.

mysticdaisy: Thank you so much for these videos!! I’ve been needing something like this for years because I’ve never fully understood how thirsty my hair gets all the time so thank you sososoosososo much ❤️

Knowledge is Power: I notice a lot of people are against this but I think where people are running into issues is doing it too much without a lot of time in between. Also, I think the density of your hair makes a difference too. I do overnight treatments but they’re 2-3 weeks apart at a minimum but I also start with dry hair .. but still lol. I think if you pay attention to your hair and space out how often you do it, this process works great.

Jozetta Phillips: I would have liked to see more of the end result of her natural hair instead of the wig.

Juliet Robin: I will try it but I will get up very early in the morning and do it. To each his own and I respect that it has worked for you and your hair is absolutely gorgeous. However I will have the shower cap on for several hours in the day but I won’t sleep in it because I will definitely get a head cold. Thanks for sharing.

𝑝𝑒𝑎̊𝑟𝑙: Finally something simple for me to stick to thank you so much

Tracie Greely: @Naturally Queeny omg. This has been the ONLY process to moisturize my hair. It really works. Thank you. Thank you

Macy Merr: It's weird seeing my hair on somebody else. Makes me want to touch my hair.

Minimal Assembly: Minimal Assembly I tried a similar routine with a deep conditioner and avocado oil + olive oil left in my hair for 4 days a week, then rinsed out and applying eco styler gel to my hair for 3 days of the week. I repeated the process for maybe 4 months. My hair became over-conditioned and eventually starting breaking on the ends. I had to get a hair cut to even it out. I’m not sure if it was due to leaving the deep conditioner in or the eco stylers gel, but my current stylist says to never leave deep conditioner in overnight. I would caution anyone trying this to use products as directed, and keep monitoring your hair to be sure it doesn’t get too much moisture or too much protein. Remember, our hair may need different things each day, so switch it up once your hair gets enough moisture. The best routine I’ve found is just using proper, well-formulated and high quality gentle cleansers and deep conditioners. Once your hair is clean, but not stripped and deep conditioned properly, you can use just about any styler with moisture that lasts for days.

Camille S: Girl I'm not even lying! I came across ur video yesterday. Immediately I did it because I found I had some shea moisture. Gurllll ! U saved my hair. My hair was so dry for soo long but this morning I rinsed and it so so soft....I cant stop touching it. I came back today to subscribe to ur channel. Thank u

Caramel Mocha: Your hair looks great. I'll definitely try that

Amanda Alfred: I have your exact texture without the dryness though. I find that light protein treatments weekly solve the issue of dryness for me. What you did with the mask, i thought i was the only one who didnt rinse all the way out products

Cookie Loves you: Me with haur products "I abuse it" i felt that

E Robinson: Finally, her hair looks like mine. Like a thirsty never ending drinkaholic. It does not look like here’s water in her hair. My hair never looks wet or really feels wet in the shower. It takes so long to wash my hair

Quanasia Lewis: OMG u tried this and it actually works.I didn't leave it in over night tho. Like 40 min rinse some out and two stranded twisted my hair. The next morning it is so soft

Vicki Jones: This procedure is too much for me. I just may have get my hair relaxed back!! It's so much simpler!! And another thing, the people who sell these products for natural hair, are making a killing off of black women with what they charge for them. The prices are ridiculously high and I refuse to pay that much for them!! Its SAD so how they do us, simply sad!!

gigglyfitzgirl: I drench my hair in water almost every night, apply vegetable glycerine and wear my shrunken fro. My hair stays soft and moisturized until wash day which for me is about once a week. Takes maybe 15 minutes to do and I retain length.

preese100: This is so helpful. ..thanks so much for another awesome video. Take care!

LM Mayberry: Okay sis; I gave up on shea moisture cuz I felt like they threw us under the bus after building their company, but (big butt) on your word I'm going to try it again. Just that one. BTW I love your channel and your hair is gorgeous!!

Elaine Spence-Frohling: I love your video and will definitely try this method for my dry and breaking hair...thank you.

Rae Talks: The DC is amazing!!! It makes my hair feel like butter!!!! For those who do not have time set under a streamer

Deb J: I always come back to this video, it really works!! Thanks

Peace&Cookies〉(^_^)〈: This is so satisfying to watch, like your hair just pops with that added moisture

Sonise Kandi E: Do you still do this? Did have you experienced product build up? If so, was it easy to remove that build up? And how soon after doing this do you go in with a cleanser to remove the products?

Carolyn Smith: I use a Vinegar Rinse to get rid of build up as a last rinse and cool water to close the cuticle. I part my hair into quarters, then wash each quarter.

4c natural: I have to try this on my 4c natural hair and will also do a video on my results. Your hair is beautiful

Allison Matthews: I tried this. Love it!

Chocolate Butterfly: Thanks for this video. I love the style that you’re wearing also. Could you do a video of how you achieved that style? Thanks.

Luchi-Grace x: What keeps my 4a hair soft, shiny and moisturised all week is: Pre poo - Ghee Deep conditioner- ors replenishing conditioner Liquid- aloe vera juice, water, glycerin (DIY leave in) Cream- ors monoi leave in It’s a super cheap routine as well which makes it so much better ❤️

Fox Osama: 4C hair be lookin hella good when it's defined

Brionna Brown: This is exactly my hair twin IM SUBSCRIBING

Stacy R: Also, there's a reason certain are products are made to be left in and others are to be rinsed out. This isn't the best method. Might work now but you can't keep doing it as it will have negative effects in the long run.

Deb J: I tried it once and was wonderful

Kia Bell: This looks like an an amazing routine I can’t wait to try it. Would tea tree oil do the same as the olive oil?

Sa'Vaughie French: I've got to try this for mine and my daughter's hair.

Kristen Lanh: Oh wow, if I did that, my hair would look a dull, greasy mess! Egg yolk for 30 minutes makes my curls pop, pop, pop!

SimplyTemie: I’m definitely trying this!!

Sola Olaniyi: Loove and need this! Thank you! Watching....subscribed...Am a Dry-Quick-High-Porosity-Hair-type and need your system to last me 3-4 days on a free style and 2 weeks plus on a protected style, so here goes..back after video....Hmmm okay true I wont leave it in overnight - prefer something more natural like warmed Shae Butter/GilBlend with Greenhouse effect as a DC overnight...Good idea.

Omg Giiirl: Your hair is gorgeous! I just had to say that!

Adrian Anderson: Thank you so much for the heads up I'm definitely going to try it we'll talk again I can't wait

louisa Tin: Love your hair! Will try this on my daughter.my hair is still very short..

E Robinson: I don’t know how long she’s been natural. But I don’t do this. And my hair is on my neck from 1 inch in less than 2 yrs. it’s grown a lot just this yr alone. I shampoo 1-2 weeks depending on the sweating. Or if I can feel my hair is too heavy, or smells. I do notice my hair doesn’t smell bad like when it was relaxed. I cowash, wear twists, puffs, Afros, but they make me sweat too much, and twist outs. Basically I keep my hair clean, moisturized, and conditioned. I use dollar tree line Shea Solutions conditioner, leave in, curl stretch, luster silk curl max, tresseme shampoo, miss jessie shampoo, As I Am co wash, and Shea moisture red palm line. I do try other products but I try to stick to products with Shea butter & castor oil.

Rxhmx Ali: just a little tip maybe you should try using sections when washing your hair it will make it easy for u to spread your product through your hair. Your so pretty btw

Aundrea Williams: Gotta love a fellow 4c natural

Sakinah H: What’s your hair’s porosity?

kyra mckenzie: Use Indian hemp clay it defines ,moistures and clean impurities fromhair as well as face

TruuColorZ: Your hair is long enough to part in sections that would be more beneficial for you especially deep conditioning. You should also try adding the oil to your conditioner before applying because putting it on top of conditioners does not penetrate properly. You also should not leave deep conditioner or masks on for that long it’s not beneficial like you think. You really should try hot oil treatments and warming your deep conditioners that’s how you get your hair moisturized. Leaving masks in is not okay and is not beneficial either it’s not a leave in hun

Infinite1: Right after I wash I use shea butter and Cantu leave in to wet hair from the roots to the end and make small twist. I leave it in without putting the plastic cap on so my 4c hair absorbs all the moisture and air dries after the wash. I have to squeeze out excess and put a satin cap on all night so it can air dry. It hydrates really well. Sometimes if u keep putting a plastic cap on the hair, the product makes the hair soggy and too soft and it starts breaking. Then I maintain it by spraying a little s--curl spray every couple of days on the twist and it doesn't go dry at all and doesn't break off because it has enough slippage even when air dried. When taking my twist down, It comes apart smoothly. I use a plastic cap sometimes on the days I spray a little s-curl I treat my scalp different and just mix castor oil, olive oil or vitamin e oil and a few drops of peppermint in a bottle with a pointed nozzle and just squirt the mixture on my scalp and massage it in every few days. It grows pretty fast and the peppermint oil and aloe keep your scalp clean and it doesn't build up.

ruth: I remember the time when I could comb through my hair like that

Islandslim Ting: S curl hair spray does the sam thing. No overnight shower cap needed. You're welcome

Crystal Johns: I looked at your hair girl and was like did it even get wetThat's when I knew we were soul sisters

efhawkins19: I was waiting for a clip showing moisturized hair after 5-7-days. Deep condition for 20-30 minutes under hooded dryer.

Chrissy x: The mask shouldn’t be so long in your hair!! There is a reason that the mask says only to leave it in up to an half hour. It can do more harm than good by leaving the mask too long in your hair. Do you research people!!

Martha: Can you still do your regular wash with other products after this session

G Prissy: Great information, Thank you!

E Robinson: I don’t know how anyone sleeps with the hair wet overnight or several hours. My head starts to itch. My head generates too much heat.

desire: Are we just going to ignore how pretty she is

Sunflower Goddess: Question.. in order for this to work? Do I need to use the same shampoo? Or just the Shea moister hair mask and olive oil? Thank you!

Requel Stegall: Girl this ponytail at the end though!!!! So cute!!!! Was this the outre drawstring one!? Did you use a curling wand on it? Flexi rods? Please let me know!

Maelsand Aliwa: Hi there ! Nice video thx for the tips ! Have you ever tried to section your hair during wash, deep conditioner etc ?

Cher0kee: She said: I abuse it ok gurrrl Damn. I'm about to try this. Thanks!

Achieng Lilian: Your hair is very healthy Queeny

nandaN: Your hair looks cute!!!

Through Estie's Eyes: Could you please post a routine after work out?

Kiya L.: Really good idea! I used to do something like this a while ago. But I heard you shouldn’t sleep on wet hair.

LANA H: Your hair is so beautiful

Dabhand Vindy: Can I use coconut oil instead of olive oil? I detest the smell of olive oil

QUEEN BLACK: I use cholesterol conditioner with some oil like African Best, every 3 days depending on weather and hair length. I have cabinet full natural hair products that don't work 4 me

père lu: Leaving that much product and oil on your hair is going to disturb your scalp. Olive oil really does soften your curl pattern maybe just use it in your water spray. Just trying to help out because this is exactly how you trigger fungus dandruff

Robin Ayers: My hair likes the MANUKA HONEY & MAFURA OIL INTENSIVE HYDRATION HAIR MASQUE BY SHEA MOISTURE.

Pusheen: How many times do you sue the jbco masque? Is once a week okay?

Sonia Williams: Ive been doing this for a long time and it works.

summeraycan: You should use natural ingredients like eggs, avocado, banana, any oils, apple cider vinegar, tomatoes, etc in your hair, (like I do) shampoo and masks still have chemicals you don’t even know, even without sulfate. I use no shampoo or conditioner, apple cider is my conditioner it makes my hair sooo soft. If anyone is thinking “ewww!” Then I could say the same for ur chemicals :/, by the way people in an Asian country uses rice water and their hair is all the way to the floor and jet black even when they’re 60 just natural things people, you got access to them don’t u?

Khadija Aboulkhiam: I honestly don't know what kind of hair I have, because I have never seen my hair in its natural state. Since I was 10 years old, I had my hair treated for different products and now I put Keratin Straightening Treatment. I finally decided a few days back to leave my natural hair grow back and treat it to be shiny and healthy and from the roots I presumed that I have type 4C, I tried this method yesterday, now I can't wait to find out how my hair looks like. I'll keep you updated!! Update: First I want to tell you that the Shea Moisture is a valuable finding!! I can't believe how my hair looks like. it keeps it so hydrated and composed I'm so happy that I purchased it. I tried Vitamin E as an oil with the moisturizer and the result was phenomenal, this video was a real help Thank you so much Queeny Kuffour!!!!!!!!!!

Candace Mackintosh: Hair masks are supposed to be washed out for a reason though. And sleeping with it can close the pores after doing it often

Emanuela Adriani: Oh no. Devacurl is a dangerous brand. A lot of curly girls have seen it brings a lot of longterm damage. Go check it out. Don't ruin those beautiful strands.

Jo Nicole: How do I do overnight shower caps and bonnets on my 1 year old? We just got out of 5 months of helmet wearing and I wasn’t allowed to use any conditioning treatments, oil, or leave in products. It needs this overnight treatment big time, but I can’t keep anything on her head! Sincerely, type 2 hair girl raising a 4C

Coral's Crafts: Thank you for the video. This is a question. What about sleeping with damp hair and fungus growth on the scalp?

JustMeTori: I’m going to try this

Nouga Miel: This Shea moisture mask never did nothing for me. Actually nothing I tried from them worked. I need to try another line from them before I cancel it for good. But no hurry, there is so much more products that works wonder on my type 4

family account: now I wanna give my hair some attention

Beautiful Inside And Out: I literally use extra virgin olive oil on my body and hair I see a "HUMONGUS" difference. No breakage and moist all day. I was this close to a perm BUT GOD
