Hello, everybody and welcome to my channel in today's video i'm going to talk about the hair mistakes that you yeah you are probably making and that you need to stop right now, so we've all been there. I think that every day we learn a little bit more about hair and about everything in life. So if you have done any of the mistakes, i'm going to mention it's. Okay, don't worry, don't stress too much, but this is the sign that you need to stop. So without further ado, let's get on to the mistakes that you are probably making. So the first mistake is something that i see really often that people do and that it's so bad for your hair. Even if you don't think so, and it is to wash your hair too often, i see people washing their hair every single day and that believe it or not, is extremely unhealthy for your hair. And why? Well? Because your hair has a lot of natural oils that it needs to be healthy, and when you wash your hair too often, you are stripping down these oils and then what happens is that your hair tries to compensate that and it kind of produces more oil. So by washing it too often, you are not letting your hair rest and you are not letting your hair to produce the oils that it naturally needs. So i know that if you wash your hair too often, it's probably because your air produces too much oil and you need to wash it because it looks dirty like the next day or in the next two days. But the good news are that your hair will eventually adjust and just produce less oil if you wash it less often so myself, i wash my hair twice a week, even if i can sometimes i watch it just once a week, and i know it's that gross. It'S not gross. What would be gross is just to not have a shower at all um. I have showers pretty much every single day, but i don't wash my hair because i like my hair to just produce the natural oils that it needs and just to let my hair rest and if you cannot do this right now, as i said it will adjust. So if you're washing your hair every single day right now, what you can do is just try to adjust to every two days. And then you can go to three days and then you will eventually be able to not wash your hair for a long period of time like once a week. I think that's the maximum, at least for me what i feel comfortable mistake, number two and something that i see a lot of people do also is that you are not buying paraben, silicone and sulfate free products for your hair, parabens, sulfates and silicones are extremely bad For your hair, they build up on your scalp and they also weight down your hair, so just invest in some good products. They don't need to be extremely expensive. I think that nowadays we are seeing more and more products that actually are free of parabens, sulfates and silicone, so i'm sure that you will be able to find some good products for your hair that are silicone, paraben and sulfate, free also, when you make the change With these products, you will notice that your hair doesn't produce that much oil and that you don't need to watch it. That often - and that's also because parabens sulfates and silicons also have a lot of oil build up. As i said, they, these products kind of build up on your scalp, and you could also suffer from hair loss eventually, because the silicones and these parabens are really bad. For, like the follicle of the hair mistake. Number three is that you are not using protecting heat products on your hair. If you are blow drying your hair or curling it or sweating it, and if you don't apply a heat protecting product on your hair, you are damaging your hair a lot and your hair is suffering also. You can just avoid using these tools overall, but i mean we kind of all straighten and just curl our hair, and also i learned recently that blow drying your hair actually is not as bad as we think. I'M not sure about this, but i've done some research. Recently that actually says that if you are not blow drying your hair and if you have long hair, you can be causing core and internal damage to your hair, because there's a lot of heavy weight that it's pulling your hair down and that can damage the follicle Of the hair, so even if we always say that we should avoid heat tools, i think that blow-dry in your hair is not actually that bad, and the only thing that you have to do is actually apply heat protecting products. This only applies also if your hair is long and if it actually, you feel that it's wetting your hair down, and i think that you can also kind of lose a little bit of volume if your hair just dries without blow drying it. So i usually blow dry, my hair actually, but i use heat protecting products. Mistake number four is that you are not treating your wet hair as carefully as you should when our hair is wet. I think that pretty much everyone knows about this when your hair is wet, it's on its most weak state and it's really easy to just break your hair on that state. So when your hair is wet, you just got out of the shower, just be really careful and really gentle with your hair, instead of just grabbing your towel and kind of rubbing your towel to kind of dry, your hair with your towel, this is so bad. You will break your hair for sure what you should do is just kind of pat dry. It like this kind of just squeeze the water out and then just blow dry it or just leave it alone, and if you brush your hair when it's wet for me, i need to brush my hair. If i don't brush my hair when it's wet and then i blow dry it, then i have a lot of knots, so i need to brush it, but what you have to do - and this is mistake - number five - is that you are not brushing your hair like Rapunzel, so i'm pretty sure that you have seen the movie but brushing your hair like rapunzel, just means that you have to go from the ends of your hair and then just work. Your way up, because if you start from the top and just kind of go down like this, you will find a lot of knots in this middle section. You will create a lot of knots that you will try to them just brush them out and that will break your hair. But if you go from the bottom all the way to the top, you will create less knots and you will break your hair. Less mistake. Number five is that you are washing your hair twice and you are using too much shampoo. Why are you washing your hair twice if you do this? Why just tell me why you don't need it and if you wash your hair with too much shampoo and if you wash it twice, you are just drying out your hair. You are just stripping down the oils, the natural oils that your hair needs and that's extremely unnecessary. So please don't wash your hair twice, just wash it once and don't apply too much shampoo, because you don't really need it, and that leads me to mistake. Number six, and it is that you are not focusing on shampoo on the scalp. You are just washing all of your hair and you do not need to do that when you wash your hair, you just need to apply the shampoo to your scalp and just kind of just wrap your scalp. You just need to wash this part of your hair. This is the part that has the oils and it's kind of dirty and then, when you rinse it off, all the shampoo will just go down through all of your hair, and this part of your hair will also get cleaned. Also, there's a lot of people that don't even apply shampoo and just with water. Their hair just gets clean. So that's why you do not need to apply shampoo to this section of your hair. You just need to apply tempo to the scalp of your hair and also with conditioner. You are applying conditioner all over your hair, and this is another mistake. You just need to apply conditioner to the tips of your hair, because if you apply conditioner to your scalp, your hair will get greasy and oily faster, so shampoo, just on the scalp conditioner. Just on the tips mistake. Number seven is that you are mix and matching your hair care products, so you should actually stick to the same brand of shampoo and conditioner that you are using, because companies will develop their products to work in harmony with each other. So when you're, using one brand of shampoo and a different brand for your conditioner, most probably the ingredients of each product are different and don't really work together. So what you just have to do is just stick to one brand, at least for your conditioner and your shampoo. You can just change it up with your hair mask. If you want, i mean i think that it's better to just stick to one brand. If you have a brand that you love, i'm actually at the moment trying a new set of products from one brand so far, i'm really enjoying them. I think that my hair looks really good, even though i bleached my hair recently. I think that it still looks really healthy, but i just need to make sure that i really love these products just to be able to show it to you guys. I don't want to show you anything that i don't like really enjoy so right now, i'm just not going to say what products i'm using, but really really soon, i'm just going to do a video just showing you my hair care routine and just the exact products That i'm using, but for now just try to stick to one brand and try to not mix and match your shampoo, and your conditioner mistake. Number eight is that you are not cutting your hair, often enough. This is a topic that creates a lot of different opinions, but i can tell you for sure that if you do not cut your hair, your hair will look dual unhealthy and just overall kind of dead. So why do we need to cut our hair? So this is not scientifically proven, but is what worked for me when i was younger. My hair didn't go past like around this length, like the blanket i have right now, probably - and i listen from someone who said that the trick to make your hair grow and to make your hair just kind of healthier is to just cut it on a regular Basis and i started to just try that for my own and my hair just growed, i think that where my hair was the longest it growed up to here - and i just kind of kind of had a little bit of trouble, because my hair was really really Really long - and it was not only long, but it was really healthy because when you cut it often of course your ends are healthy, you don't have split ends and your hair doesn't look dual and dead. So what i suggest is that you cut your hair every three to four months. If you go further than that, your hair will start breaking is when you will start to notice that your hair is starting to look really dull, that your ends are just split and it's not a good look. So it's much better to just cut a little bit of the ends of your hair. Your hair will look healthier and i think that it is much better to have short but healthy hair than long and really damaged and dual hair. Just in my opinion, i actually really like my hair on this length right now, so i think that it's much better to have healthier hair but shorter hair. Just in my opinion, but also mistake, number nine is that you are not cutting your hair by the morning. Now, if mistake, number eight was a little bit controversial this one right here girl, it's not the first time that i mentioned this and a lot of people are like. Is this scientifically proven or um? It is i this really works like you can't believe it or you can just avoid it. I mean you can do whatever you want, but i'm telling you that, depending on the day that you are cutting your hair by the moon, your hair will grow faster or slower or healthier or stronger. Why well scientifically proven. I think that it's scientifically proven, at least i think that the moon has an effect on the moon. That'S why we have the tides of the ocean. That'S why plants grow faster when the moon is growing, i mean, if you believe, in zodiac signs it's pretty much. The same: it's just that the moon has an effect to all living creatures on earth. Now i'm going to make it easy, simple and fast for you to understand. If you want your hair to grow faster, you should cut your hair on a waxing moon or the face of the moon when the moon is growing. On the other hand, if you want a slower growth or if you need your hair to just be a little healthier and just kind of stronger, if you feel that your hair is a little thinner, you should cut your hair on a waning moon or when the Moon is just decreasing, then, on a new moon, which means that there's literally no moon, this just lasts a day. You shouldn't be cutting your hair on that day. It'S just not recommended at all, and also on a full moon. They say that it's also not really good for your hair to just cut it on that day, so it will just avoid it and just kind of really take advantage of a waning moon or a waxing moon, depending on what you want. For example, when i cut my hair really sure i really wanted my hair short, because i was tired of my long hair. I cut it my hair on a waning moon, because i wanted just my hairstyle to just stay and my hair to grow slower, but now that i'm trying to grow my hair a lot and as you can see, my hair is growing really fast. It'S because i'm cutting it just by the moon. Now, i'm cutting it on a waxing moon, the waxing moon and the waning moon is just a period of the moon that lasts around 15 to 14 days and just the full moon and the new moon just lasts. One day, if you have any questions about this, you can just ask me down below in the comments, and i will just answer to you as fast as i can but yeah. This is a topic that creates a lot of you know different opinions, but if you believe in the zodiac signs, as i said, this is just the astrology - and i i swear by this - and this really works for my hair. Some of my best friends also use this, and it's also working for them. So it's just up to you to believe it or not. Do you believe in zodiac signs? If you do, this is just the same thing you know and then. Finally, the last mistake that i want to talk about this is not really a hair care mistake. That'S why i'm just putting it at the end of this video? But if you are watching this video, it's because you are kind of worried about the overall health of your hair. So i think that i need to mention this on this video, and it is that you are not treating your hair from the inside out, and that means that our hair will appear healthier if we treat our bodies and if we eat cleaner and if we eat Healthier so i know this is not a hair care mistake but, as i said, i think that i needed to mention this myself. I eat a plant-based diet and it's scientifically proven actually that plant-based diets work beautifully and amazing for your hair. When i just started just eating a plant-based diet, i really noticed a huge difference on my hair. That doesn't mean that you have to go plant-based to have beautiful hair, but try to eat more vegetables. Try to eat just foods that are load with vitamins and just overall good for your body and also if you feel that you are doing everything that you can, that you have tried. Everything and your hair still looks dull and kind of dry and just breaks really easily. I think that maybe you should just check yourself check your health and check if you have enough zinc enough collagen, and maybe you should go and just try to buy some supplements for the overall health of your body so yeah. These were all the mistakes that you might probably be doing in terms of your hair care. Let me know in the comments which one are you most guilty of doing and also, as i said, if you have any questions, just leave them in the comment section below and i will just respond and get back to you as fast as i can so guys.
