Purple Hair Care Routine | How To Keep Colored Hair Healthy

Ugh I'M SO SORRY FOR THE LOUD ASS FAN. I had my ceiling fan on and didn't think my camera would pick it up. I promise to sweat to death in my next video and won't have the fan on. It annoys me too.

In this video I talk about all the products I use to keep my hair in good shape and so purple. Hair products are like insurance for your hair. You wouldn't go spending a bunch of money on a new car and then not get the oil changed, would you? I certainly hope not! You need to use the right products to keep your hair happy and healthy. If your hair feels great when you leave the salon, but then go home and use bad products on it and want to blame your stylist, think again! Bad products can cause just as much if not more damage to your hair than coloring it in the first place so be sure to use products that work for you and are good for it! This is just what works for me. Everyone is different but I would ask your stylist what she recommends and WHY.

Hey guys, what's up its me 28 today I decided to shoot a video that has been what is the opposite of highlight. Loli requested, it's been mine early requested. Maybe one of you asked me and I was like alright sure. Let'S do that today, I am going to tell you all about my hair care routine and how I basically do everything with my hair, like what shampoo and conditioner I use and what products I'm meant to do and all that fun stuff. Obviously, maintaining my color is always my number one priority of life so starting out with that, I only wash my hair once a week. I am very very very strict about this. I don't care how bad my hair looks after six days. It hasn't been seven days. I'M not washing my hair again, I'm not very picky about what shampoo and conditioner I used on my hair. I try not to use any heavy conditioners because, obviously, I'm only washing it once a week, so we don't want anything. That'S going to over moisturize my hair or just weight down too much as far as my favorite shampoos go, I'm obviously a huge fan of Aveda. For those of you who don't know, I am a licensed cosmetologist and I got my training done through a beta. I'M a little partial to their products because I have known and loved them for years. My absolute favorite from our Veda is the dry remedy shampoo. It used to kind of not be the greatest, but then they reformulated it, and it is amazing. Now, if you suffer from dry hair like I do, you will love dry remedy if your hair is falling out and long strands, that means your hair is dry, but if your hair is falling off and little short broken pieces, that means your hair is damaged. I shed like no other, but I shed blonde pieces of hair, which tells me my hair is dry, not damaged, hallelujah, something a little more affordable that I like is joy. Coat alta were think they sell it at like drugstores now as well. That joy co is great. I use their color indoor shampoo and, as far as like lower and honestly, i do notice a really big difference when i used like, let's just say, like suave shampoo, not like I've used that since I was 10 but suave shampoo versus like a higher-end shampoo. I do notice the pretty big difference on myself, so I try to not ever use anything really cheap because it just seems like it strips my hair and my hair really doesn't like it at all. Second thing: I'm going to talk about is my conditioner. Some of you may have seen I made a video all about my purple conditioner there she is and all of her glory. I use this every single time I wash my hair. I make it myself. It'S a purple conditioner that Reese stains my hair. Every time I wash it that way, my hair never ever looks faded ever since I started doing this about a year and a half ago, it's kind of changed my life, because my hair is never faded now, which is just a miracle and on its own, go Along with this you're definitely gon na want a pair of rubber gloves. I keep these in my shower at all time. You definitely need to use gloves with this, because it's a stain, obviously, and it's going to stain your hands. If you don't wear gloves when you use it, so I would definitely recommend getting some gloves to just leave in the shower after I get out of the shower, while my hair is still damp and kind of you know, just all we're added up and whatnot. That is when I will go in with this bad boy. This is from pure ology. It'S. It'S got the perfect for platinum, a miracle pore filler treatment, basically here and I'm gon na use this like a leave-in conditioner, I mean which spray this all over my head. I try and avoid the root area, because once again I don't want a lot of product and that's where I tend to get oily as' the fastest, but the stuff kind of is a miracle. It makes my hair so smooth. You know when you go to the salon and get your hair done and it like smells like the salon. This will make your hair. I like the salon, and I just I really appreciate that. I really love that, so I use this all the time just to help kind of protect my hair from any heat that I'm gon na put on it later and just to help detangle it I've probably been using this, for, I would say well over a year Now - and I probably have like that much left in this bottle - it is a pricier product, but I really believe that it is worth the money speaking of detangling. This is the tangle teezer. I'M sure you've heard about this five hundred million times in your life use. This every time to brush my hair out after the shower. As always, I start at the bottom of my hair and work your way up. If you start at the top and just rip your brush through you're gon na rip out a good amount of hair with it ain't, nobody trying to do that. So just start at the bottom go slowly. I know it can be a little annoying, but just take the time your hair will. Thank you just work your way, slowly up to the top of your head and you'll get there in no time I promise these are amazing. I'Ve never tried the wet brush, though, if anyone has tried that, let me know if you like that better than this are they about the same? What do you think once I get out of the shower, I usually have some purple stain inge going on around my hairline and all my ears and whatnot, so I will use this color remover. I believe you can get this at Sally's. I would just ask them: hey: where is the color remover? This gets off everything, as you can tell I've used a fair bit of this. It does kind of burn your skin, so I would recommend like washing your skin after you use this, because it's a chemical don't want it to sit on your skin for too long, but I just get it on a little pal and then I lightly rub everywhere. Where the color has got - and it removes everything perfectly now - obviously, since I do go so long in between shampoos that ends up, my hair tend to get really dry. So to help kind of combat that I will use my favorite from Aveda. This is the dry remedy oil. It is a super super lightweight oil and I will probably use about five or six drops of this through the ends of my hair. Now, if you're, not a big fan of the beta - and you don't like the kind of more herbally Earth - smells probably really not gon na like how this smells, I'm a huge huge fan of it, though the smell doesn't bother me at all. If anything is - and it drags me towards it more once again, I would really avoid the root area with any kind of oil that you use, but if this is too heavy for you might I recommend this bad boy. This is the light element, smoothing fluid from Aveda. This is kind of the same idea. It'S a very, very lightweight oil. This one, I need way less of I'll use, one or two pumps of this and the ends of my hair, and it just helps kind of calm everything back down and smooth it give it a really nice healthy shine back to the hair. I mean obviously, these they're gon na be kind of more expensive. So if you can't afford this, but you still want the same effect, I got you. This is the Pantene expert, keratin repair Carrick loss oil mist. So this is a spray. Obviously, this one is a spray oil and what I will do with this is take, maybe like maybe like five or six pumps of this in my hand, then rub my hands to once again just work it through the ends of my hair Lee, but this will Help give it just like such a nice shine back into your hair without really weighing everything down once again that product just super affordable, and it smells pretty good too, if you like my little family, I'm setting up over here, like hey guys, the last product that I use on my hair, probably every single day of my life no lie if you've been on my channel for any amount of time. I'M sure you've heard me talk about this so many times. You'Re probably sure that I'm the spokesperson for them, I'm not, but I would love to be, and that is the batiste dry shampoo. I use this literally every day I hate how my hair feels without it. Now that's how addicted to it. I'Ve become. I use this after I've washed it the first day I use it on the second day. I use it on the third day. I use it on days where I don't need it, because I think it makes my hair feel better. This is the only dry shampoo. I'Ve ever used that I've been madly in love with and makes my hair feel cleaner than when I started so much so that I do use it on clean hair, and my hair feels better makes no sense to me, but I am obsessed with this since I Do go so long and between shampoos. I do like to start using this just from day one. I do like to use this right from the get-go right from day, one that way, I'm not giving all any chance to vote up in my hair at all. I will typically go through and spray my group area all over once probably like in the morning and then I spray my whole head just the root area once again before I go to bed, and I don't even how they're brushing it out before I go to Bed because you roll around so much in bed anyways, it's gon na work itself in but batiste dry shampoo is hands-down. My lifesaver. This is definitely a product I am married to for life like if I wasn't already married to Adam it would be batiste. Let us say you guys, thought it's everything and that I use on my hair. That'S my entire hair care, routine. I think it's pretty simple, I'm not gon na lie. I used to never use hair products ever, but ever since I've started using hair products, I've noticed a serious difference in my hair's integrity and it's just healthier and it's shinier. People are constantly coming up to me and touching my hair, which I guess is okay, whatever. If you have any questions where there's anything I didn't cover in this video, please feel free to leave it down below. I have thought about making a Q & A video for this channel. So if you have any questions for that as well, leave them down below and I will be sure to read them in my up and coming QA video. If I get enough questions, that's the thing I'm like am I ever gon na get enough questions actually fill my Q & A video. Let'S, let's see, I guess if you like this video go ahead and give it a thumbs up that way. I know that you like it and if you want you can subscribe to my channel, I put out new videos every Wednesday and I was love to have you here until then. I will see you next time bye guys. I geuss my attitude to express myself.

Lauren: I use the wet brush and I really love it. also I'm an Aveda fan! I just died my hair to a mossy green. and I love your tip on the pigment conditioner. years ago I had red chunky peekaboo thick highlights and I used rose madder from Aveda, and it really saved my red. I'm seriously considering making my own conditioner as you did but with the argan oil perfect intensity in emerald green. love your channel and I'm so glad I found it!

Kaitlyn Peace: I need to try that dry remedy! I only wash my hair once/week too. Mainly bc of laziness but my hair is never oily either. Your hair really does always look so vibrant and healthy. The lip color is obviously amazing and you look stunning in your thumbnail!

octoberjackie: I would love to see an updated version of this! Curious about what you’re using now!

TheMusicaEclectica: Thanks for sharing the products you use. I'll be trying a couple of them. I've just recently (February 2017) gone purple and I absolutely love it. I'm 50 and for the first go round my hairdresser wanted to try just doing it over my natural color (brown, copper, silver, white) to see how it would work. We were both pleased with the initial results but after having it for awhile I feel like it's too challenging to keep the color super nice looking with all those resistant grays. I "touch up" with overtone conditioner once a week. Still get compliments on it almost every time I go out in public but I guess what I'm wondering is if you think bleaching my hair the next time would be better. Would the color stay truer for longer? Oh, and even being middle-aged I have an oily scalp and dry ends, so I don't know how that affects color.

JustEnufEyes: Great video, love your hair! Looks amazing :)

Silver Martin: Any tips for post gym hair without having to wash all of that precious color down the drain three times a week?

Phaerusa: Does your diy staining conditioner stain your tub/shower? How do you remove it or keep that from happening?

Shianne Collens: Just found you, you are awesome! Love your personality and how informed you are. :)

Catherine Soriano: You're amazing!! and your hair is awesome and well you're just such a great person! I'm happy I found your channel. I WANT TO DYE MY HAIR PURPLE NOW! lol haha

Jessica B: This was a really informative video, but can we just talk about your lip color for a second? When did you become an actual mermaid?! It is gorgeous. For Q and A video, if you had to live somewhere that you've never lived before and had to stay there for the rest of your life, where would you live?

Tiffiny Craft: Since it stains your hair and you wear gloves, what about the tub? That would be a nightmare, do you do anything to avoid staining the tub/shower?

lindsay paige: what dye do you use? your hair is gorgeous!!

Yasmin Gomez: What would you suggest if you have multi colored hair? How would I do my own special conditioner?

Janey Spots: OMG, i have curly hair that I've dyed blue and purple with my stylist.....so this info helps me to keep it up. Can you show us how to use dry shampoo? It should be easy but I think something comes out white, and so I rub it in, or leave it or do you only leave it sit at night? I'm a virgin to hair color, but I may never go blonde again. Thanks. love the video.

Essie Faith: I love your hair color, it's really different

al wright: Where do you find the panteen keratin keragloss mist? I haven't been able to find it? Or what else would you recommend in the same price point?

MakeupByAnnki: Hi Im a new subscriber, i absolutely love your hair colour One question the purple conditioner is it your hair dye + conditioner mixed together? I have a problem with the hair dye disappears from my roots so fast... So annoying..

Tiffany Browning: What do you think of L’ange hair products?

Kelsey Smith: Maybe I'll give Batiste a second chance. I don't remember why I didn't love it.

Alma Celaya: How do make your purple conditioner?

Mo Ager: Do you wear like a shower cap when u take your regular showers in between shampoos?

Kathy Brewer: How do u make the conditioner

B L: How do you fix dry hair

Rachel B: Hi I cant find the pureology stuff I think they don't make it no more. I just died my hair purple and my hair falls in short pieces damaged . What can I use for it.

Anonymous Anonymous: Kinda looks more blue then purple

Kate the Healer: Are you a natural blonde?

Makenna Holmes74: Your hairs not purple it's blue
