Hi everyone and welcome back to my channel or welcome to my channel if you're new here my name is yasmin. I film a lot of lifestyle, wellness, legal diaries vlogs for you guys and i'm so happy to have you here. So, throughout my hair journey i have gone through so many different hairstyles i've had my hair chopped up to here. I'Ve had it longer i've had it blonde i've had it pink. I'Ve done so much to my hair and starting at quite a young age. Doing things to my hair. I'Ve always had naturally long hair because it's just been grown out and my parents always took such good care of it. When i was younger and then as i got older, i definitely started to experiment experiment with colors, with heat tongs with do-it-yourself things and cutting it myself only the other month. I cut myself a fringe and it was awful and i shouldn't have done it myself, but the most significant thing that has ever happened to my hair is that i suffered from alopecia areata, which is basically when you have patches of bald patches on your actual scalp And my patches came from the fact that i have an autoimmune disease, which basically means that my immune system started fighting itself. This happened in 2016 onwards. To i want to say 2020 only recently have i started to recover from that and be able to kind of build the health of my hair back up again, which leads to today that i found a solid hair care routine, where i haven't actually had any alopecia. Since and my hair hasn't been fallen out and i've been able to kind of maintain its shine and its health and there's a lot of things that i kind of incorporate into my routine, i am going to show you that definitely helped my hair grow with all Of that being said, and my little background explained, let's jump into this video where i'm going to show you my everyday hair care routine, so my hair care routine usually begins before i even start to think about washing and styling my hair. I typically begin by preparing my hair and what i mean by that is making sure that my hair has been detangled and moisturized and really is ready to be washed. So i take a wide tooth comb and some oil. My favorite at the moment is the amla gold oil, but you really can just use any oil for this and you really only need the smallest amount. So i typically just work that through my hair and make sure to detangle and coat from the roots all the way through to the ends of my hair and, like i said this, oil really does stretch. I then go ahead and take a paddle brush to really make sure that my hair is like running smooth and that there's no knots while working the oil through so the brush is acting as something to just pull all that oil. From my root down to my ends now you definitely need to keep an open mind with this, but i then go in with a root massager, which is so great to stimulate hair growth, and it really does feel good. So this is just going onto the top of my head and i just work it all the way around my scalp until i look a little bit crazy like this once my hair is all smoothed out and covered in oil. I then just pop it into a neat bun on top of my head and make sure all of the roots and edges of my hair are completely straight. I sometimes leave this in for a couple of hours to really help that oil soak in. But if you don't have a lot of time, you can kind of do this. Just before you wash your hair and then i just take it out in the shower, and sometimes you can even just put a cap over it, which will just allow that oil to really heat up and get into your roots and all of that pre-prep. For my hair leads us to the shower so, as you can see, i'm just undoing that bun that we had in and i go in first with my shampoo from garnier. This is the ultimate blends connection and i've been using the papaya one which smells amazing. So i just rubbed that in starting with my roots and then working it through the rest of my hair and just thoroughly washing that out, when you have long hair, it's important to get all of it out. Otherwise, it will continue working and you get a residue afterwards. I then go in with the conditioner. This is a three-in-one hair mask from garnier ultimate blends and it's part of the same papaya collection, and i really just smooth that through my hair and then use a tangle teaser made for the shower and made for wet hair. That'S really important part of my routine to make sure that i'm using something that won't pull my hair out. So i just go ahead and brush through everything, stepping away from the shower to keep all that product into my hair and really working it through. I like to then pop on a cute little hair turban. You can pick these up everywhere, but i find that they really do drain out the excess moisture after you get out of the shower and they're really useful for long hair to just make sure it's not dripping down your back and uncomfortable and keeping it all tucked Away nicely and untangled once that's done, i'm just making sure there's no excess water and then using an additional tangle teaser. You can see that the grooves on this brush are at different levels. That'S really good for layered hair. So i kind of just start from the root and work my way down. That method means that all the knots are being pulled down in your hair and you're not going to be ripping out your scalp where you've had the hot water on it. You don't want to be pulling too hard, so once i've brushed all the way down to the bottom. I then brush all those knots out from the end, and that makes it easier to just untangle everything. I then use my dream lens alv by l'oreal cream. Now this is the no haircut cream and it's just a leave-in conditioner that i massage mainly into the ends of my hair and underneath roots. I don't like to focus the product too much on the top of my head, just because i don't want to have any greasy residue on the fringe area. That'S going to be seen the most once i style my hair. I then take my pantene seven in one pro minerals, oil. This oil is a miracle worker, honestly, it's a new purchase of mine and it's their new collection of pantene and it's so lightweight. It does not leave an oily residue at all, but you do only need a couple squirts, so i do focus that a little bit more around the front of my hair, because that's what's prone to breakage a lot more when i'm putting heat on it. I then go in with my hair, dryer and roughly dry, my hair. I focus the majority of blow drying at the front of my hair to begin with, just because i have quite long bangs, so i use a technique where i take a big round brush and just roll out my bangs into the position that i'm going to want Them in when i style my hair, so i don't do this for all of my hair, but at the front i really just take my time and make sure to pull my hair in all the different directions that it might have to lay in. So i take it through the front and then the left and then the right and just round brush it under in all different ways. This really helps to get like a flick from the root and makes your hair look less flat, once you're ready to style. I then finish off by roughly blow drying all of my hair and i blow dry it downwards. I do that on purpose, to make sure that it's all laying flat so that when it does come to use in heat products and heat irons and everything, i don't have to focus too much heat on the root of it, where it would be curly. If i was to just rough blow dry it i take that down on the roots, and then i bring it straight down to the bottom of my hair once my hair is fully dry. I then pop on my straighteners. I use the ghd gold edition and i use those to curl my hair. I don't do this every time i wash my hair, but on occasions like once a week once every two weeks, i do like to style my hair with heat and i usually go for a curly look because it lasts in my hair the longest. So i just pop my hair into little sections and then you can see i'm clamping, my hair and twisting the straighteners as i move them down. This is how i like to curl my hair and i find by using this method. It actually holds the curl a lot better and i don't have to go over them again. Also the heat that you're seeing come off of there and the smoke. That is not from my hair. Don'T worry that's from using the products before you would have seen that i sprayed another heat protector on my hair and i like to do that when i've dried it as well as when it's wet to make sure that it's really just sealed in there from blow-drying It and putting extra heat on there, so i just go across my whole head and put curls in each section, but i don't ever go on one section more than once. I would rather just have looser curls than damage my hair by going repeatedly over the same piece with my curling iron. Once all of that is done, i like to just flash through my curls and try and loosen them a little bit. This isn't my ideal desired. Look when it comes to curly hair, but i like to make them tighter at the top just because it will drop out throughout the day and, like i said, i don't like to go over it too much. But this is the final look, so guys that pretty much brings this video towards the end. I really do hope you enjoyed watching my haircare routine. This is pretty much my everyday haircare routine other than the fact that i don't actually straighten my hair or put heat on my hair every day. So i may have a wash day where i leave my hair out natural and i'm definitely going to be filming a video to show you what i do to look after my naturally curly borderline frizzy hair, as you would have seen so do stay tuned. If you'd be interested in watching that video to come soon, but before we close off, i wanted to take a minute to show you some of the other products that i've really been loving and that i have been using in and out for the last two to Three years, my products do change a lot, but there's certain brands and certain things i look for in all of my products and if i could just have one product, it will most definitely be a heat protectant spray. I have been notorious in the past for not using a hip protectant spray and i feel like that's. What'S made, my hair grow the best and made it look as healthy as it can, when you have naturally drier hair and naturally curly hair. It'S really difficult to maintain a shine. So, as you can see, my hair absorbs that product and it doesn't look greasy at all, but finding ones that are just lightweight. It'S been a bit of a mission and it's been an expensive one. So i'm going to share with you some other ones that i've been loving. So this is the first heat protector. I think i've ever used and i bought it just because it says what it was going to do on the tin and i felt like it was a good place to start. Everyone knew pan 10. I started using this years ago when my hair was blonde and crazy, and this one is just infused with argan oil and it helps protect the hair from thermal styling and fruits while conditioning healthy, long hair. So this one to me is like it's almost finished, because i've used it so much and it definitely did serve its purpose. I recently upgraded to the pantene oil, the miracle, seven oils that you would have seen in this video, so this one still does get used. Maybe if i'm like straightening my hair and put a lot more heat on it, but i have been really loving the miracle oil by pantene instead of this one, in addition to the pantene thermal protect, is the pantene repair and protect this oil, like you can see How much i've used of it? This oil is definitely a miracle. It is really good. I think you can see the theme that i really do enjoy pantene products and they definitely do do well on my hair, so i've just stuck to what i know and tend to use different ones of their brand. But this oil is something that i put on say tomorrow or the next day when my hair isn't going to be washed, but i've got some curls in it and i just want it to feel a little bit more vibrant and look a little bit shinier. I would even put this on now once these curls drop out and it gets to the desired. Look that i want this oil is what i just run through, and you only need a tiny bit. You'Ve been warned, do not use a lot of this oil because it's definitely not necessary, but this is just leave-in and it's a dry oil with vitamin e for damaged hair and the final hair care product that i interchange is from garnier, and this is the ultimate Blend no rinse hydrating conditioner i got put on to garnier about, i want to say a year now i've been using their shampoos conditioners mask products for about a year and they stay. I do not interchange my shampoo and conditioner. These are vegan products, they're environmentally friendly, and they have no silicones and leave no residue, they're, really good for your hair and for the environment. So these have been a plus in my book. I really like the coconut and aloe vera one because it's for dehydrated hair. The final thing i want to speak about is supplements. Supplements can honestly change everything and be your best friend. They are so good for you and they're all natural and they're things that you can add to your body and your immune system that help your hair skin brain function, your nails, everything and i definitely do take a supplement for everything and i've found that this has Worked the best for me, the first thing that i swear by is my wow woman vegan. This is designed for vegetarians and vegans, and it basically supplements all of the things that you might miss by not eating non-vegan or vegetarian produce, and it has an enormous, like list of ingredients where it has vitamin d e k. B1. B2. B3, like it goes on, and it's got magnesium and biotin everything that you would need to kind of supplement your body and make sure that you're in working order and that everything that you need you are getting. The next thing is liquid, chlorophyll and cmos. Now i'm grouping these together, because these are actually new additions to my whole supplement routine, and i am only showing you, the ones that kind of promote hair growth and make your hair look shinier and stronger. So i started using both of these about a month ago and so far, like my tin's almost finished, it comes with one month supply and i just bought mine from amazon and the same with this. You just drop it into your water. They have both been quite good, it's hard to tell if they're, making a significant difference, because i do take other things to support my hair and my skin and my nails, but so far i haven't had anything. That'S been like detrimental happened to me, so i've really been enjoying using these. This is really good for um, making sure that your body is kind of detox and flushing out all of like the bad nasties that might accumulate in your intestines and everything. I know that sounds like absolutely ridiculous, but google it if you really want this like go and google it. This has been game changer when it comes to internal toxins and then, when it comes to the cmos. This is just an organic sea derived product and it's basically like seaweed glorified, but it's really good for you. It'S been helping with my skin a lot i suffered throughout lock down with getting those marks from the um. They call them the face mask. Oh my god. It'S been like how long and i've already forgotten, but i had a lot of marks on my face from wearing the face mask so much and then, since using these, i've definitely noticed an improvement in my skin and i incorporate them into my skincare routine and take Two of these daily and they have been really good. Finally, and quite possibly the star of the show is my biotin. This is just a pure biotin supplement from holland and barrett's, and this is specially designed for your hair, so i decided to just buy this pure biotin instead of giving in to the gummies and buying the oh, healthy, hair, shiny, hair supplements, you know, because all of Those magic, teas and magic gummies that you're gon na take for your hair and pay a fortune, for, i might add, they all have an ingredient in common, and that is biotin, i would say, go to the source of what you actually need to get. Instead of buying you know it's nice to have someone set it all out for you and put multi things in one gummy bear or something to take as a supplement. But if you can go to the source, i would say it's definitely better for you, because you'll be able to manage and maintain how much you're taking and be able to see exactly how much you're um needing and what what's actually working for you. So when i was using the well woman vegan before i discovered that you could just buy biotin on its own, i was researching the ingredients in there and i saw that biotin is designed specially for your hair and i can't lie to you. This promotes hair growth, in my opinion, my experience i have seen hair growth, i mean we're talking eyebrows we're talking face, we're talking hair, like i think i've said enough. This definitely works, and it has worked for me and it does just maintain the strength of your hair and maintain the shininess and naturally the all-round health, so guys that pretty much concludes this video of my everyday hair care routine. I really do hope you enjoyed it and if you did, please don't forget to pop it a like a thumbs up and write a comment down below i'd love to know if you use any of these products or if you're going to try any of these products Or even if there's anything you recommend for me, like i said my, my routine is quite flexible and i really do enjoy trying other things. So i'd love to hear from you and don't forget to subscribe. I will see you in my next video bye.
