Hey you guys today, i'm going to be talking about the best, shampoo and conditioners that i have found at the drugstore. It'S a dirty word that hairdressers are never allowed to say. The first brand i want to talk to you about is called hair food hair food is a really cool brand, because it's all about clean, simple kitchen, crafted recipes. The one that i purchased to try is the smooth line, which is great for frizz reduction because it has avocado and argan oil. Their mission statement is to feed your hair. Like you feed your body, and a huge benefit is that it is free of sulfates dyes. Parabens and mineral oils: these are the things that we often find in drugstore brands that we don't like as hairdressers, so they eliminated those really nasty ingredients in this brand, and i think that is fantastic product number, two that i'm so excited to share with you guys Is called mixed chicks. This is a really really super cool brand and i'm stoked that's a drugstore level brand. This is something that we need in drugstores. These products are for curly haired girls. Finally, you guys get a product line for you. The reason i love these products is because they are non-sticky lightweight curly, hair products that are only defined, but also lock in moisture in curly hair, which is the biggest struggle that my curly hair clients have curly hair has a tendency to be drier in nature. So this product has really created formulas with that in mind that curly hair just needs more repair and more moisture than straight hair. I also love that these products celebrate a multi-racial movement and that it not only works on curly hair of all ethnicities, but it's also a great product to use on weaves extensions and wigs. I want to highlight one really cool thing about this product, so this is the shampoo and it is fantastic. If you have curly hair, definitely give it a go, but this is a star product. For me, this is one of my favorite products that i have ever found in the drugstore and what it is. It'S a leave-in conditioner. So when i recommend leave-in conditioner for my clients, including my curly hair clients, i often recommend a water-based conditioner where it's dual phase. You shake it and you spritz it on your head, but if you need more control, that's not going to be enough for you, so this is really great because it is a cream. So you shampoo and condition your hair in the shower. You get out you towel dry, your hair, you add a dime to a quarter amount of product in your scalp, depending on your hair's density length and needs, and you run it from the mid chest ends now. This is going to create a barrier between that frizz and that curl. So it's really going to smooth down your curl, make it really glossy and bouncy with less frizz, and it's done in a leave-in conditioner form, so you're going to get added, moisture and repair at the same time the next drugstore products. I want to talk about that. I absolutely loved in high school. This was the shampoo and conditioner i used in high school and it's still around and i still love it like it's nostalgic and i still love it and it's john frieda, john frida has some great products. You know what they do. They have great products at great price points. The reason that i love this one in particular is because it's also a very unique product, just like the mixed, chicks, leave-in conditioner. This product is a color, depositing shampoo. They also have color, depositing conditioners. This one is the brilliantly brunette line, so if you have an issue with your brunette hair fading because it's colored or fading naturally in the sun - and you like it to look rich and dark and chocolatey and multi-tonal. This is a great shampoo for that. The product inside actually has a stain to it, so you can apply it in the shower. Leave it on for three to five minutes and rinse it, and over time that color is going to deposit in your hair and keep your color results looking longer and richer and deeper over time. The next product i want to talk about is l'oreal. L'Oreal knows what it's doing when it comes to the world of beauty and that's why they have so many incredible makeup products. They have so many incredible hair care products and they even have a professional color line that my hairdresser uses. That'S also amazing. So l'oreal is a forefront, a big player, one of the best in beauty. In my opinion now i want to show you two products from l'oreal they're, both sulfate free, but they are very, very different and they work for very different people. The first one i want to highlight is this one: this is a great detox shampoo, so a detox, shampoo or a clarifying shampoo is good for people that have a lot of product buildup on their scalp people that use a lot of different products on their hair. Myself included, i use a lot of gels. Sometimes i use waxes. A clarifying shampoo is something that is great to add to your hair tool kit. So one more tool: that's going to help you achieve the best hair of your life and how you want to use it is you want to use it either once a week or whenever you feel like your hair, is really starting to get way down or have A film or just not feel great. This is a great product for your husbands or for men who are watching this, who have a lot of accumulation of hair, waxes or gels in their hair use this once a week. It'S really going to remove all of that debris oil product on the scalp and give you a fresh palette to work with once again. This is not a day-to-day shampoo. You do not want to use a clarifying shampoo every single day unless you want to really really really dry out your hair, but if you have any type of issues with product buildup, this is great to use once a week twice a week's max. Whenever you are feeling like your hair is getting weighed down the next one that i want to talk about, is this frizz defy shampoo? This is a great summer shampoo for people that struggle with frizz, whether that's curly, hair or straight hair. This is really cool because it's humidity protection anti-fade and has uv filters, so you are combating that humidity in the summertime and you're also protecting it from the sun. So the next two brands that i want to talk about are actually brands that you can buy in a salon. So they are salon level brands, but they are also now at the drugstore. It'S really good to know that, because if you are looking for a drugstore, shampoo and conditioner as long as you wait for it to go on sale, which it always goes on on sale, if you are at chopper's drug mart in canada or you could do like 20 times the points or whatever you will find that these products are top-notch, you can get them for a great, really, affordable, excellent price. The first one i want to talk about is biologe. Biologe is amazing, and i have used it in my own salon before the smell of these are so amazing. They have so many different formulations like color last um. This one is smooth proof, so this one is for frizz reduction, but they also have hydrosource for hair. That is dry and dehydrated. If you ever see this product on sale, try it out. Bio lodge is a staple. It is very well respected by the hairdressing community and they make great products at great and great sizes for great prices. So you can't you really can't go wrong with this one. The next one, that is a pretty big player as well in the hairdressing community, is joyco. So i couldn't believe that i found joyco i actually modeled for joycol when i was like 15 years old, which was 20 years ago. So joyco has been on the market for a long time. I didn't know that they started selling to drugstores. But again, if you wait for it to go on sale, you can get them at really really affordable prices. This one is called color endure violet, so this is for the blondies out there that want to get rid of brass, yellow tones or like orangey tones. In light hair, another great shampoo by joyco is kpak. Kpak has also been around for like a bajillion years. This one is color therapy, so color protecting. If you have color hair, you really want to protect your investment coloring. Your hair is expensive and you can really get that color to drain down the sink super super fast if you use low quality, shampoo and conditioner. So this is going to protect your hair from slipping away and ending up in the drain thanks you guys so much for watching. If you liked this video don't forget to give me a thumbs up on it, as that really helps my channel grow. If you have a video request, if there's something that you really want to know, leave it in the comment section, because i'm the type of creator that reads every single comment, i write them down and i plan for the following weeks to answer your questions. I'Ll see you in the next one bye,

Susan Ruby: Biolage is a great shampoo. It makes my hair nice and clean. I use the one for color treated hair as I have highlights. I found out about it 30 years ago at the salon and was thrilled that I could get it at my local pharmacy.

Rochelle Holmes: I have fine curly hair so I always have a hard time finding products that will give me curl without weighing my hair down. I've been using a high end product for a long time. But since the cost of living has risen I decided to try the L'Oreal Elvive Dream Length Curl moisture shampoo and conditioner. I love them!!! My hair is so soft and my curls are defined. I also bought the reRefresh and Reshape leave-in spray. OMG this stuff is amazing too!! It gives me great definition and my hair is soft!!! The other part that is great is the COST!!! I don't have to spend a fortune anymore. Thank you for turning me onto this product.!!

Kelly Galvin: Very happy to see this video. Would love a similar one about stying products from the drugstore. Products for blow drying, hot iron (curling or flat) styling, heat protection, etc.

Aysha S Orny: I bought the joico shampoo and conditioner after watching your video, and they are AMAZING!! they literally makes the hair bouncy soft and even!!! Ahh best in one word!! love how my hair turns after washing, thank you so much for your honest suggestions, take loveeeee❤️

L P: I know this video is old now, but for salon brands at the drugstore, I highly recommend looking into diverted product. Salon brands at drugstores and places like Costco can be diverted, expired, or even counterfeit sometimes.

Alexandra: Hey Gabi. A bit late to the party, buy what do you think of the Garnier Fructis shampoos? All I know is that they smell fantastic

brightphoebus: Yay! John Frieda! I like them too, they smell good. I have blonde hair and there's two choices, the blonding one with lemon and chamomile, and the purple one. : ) Also the volumizing ones, I like (thin blonde hair). Glad the L'Oreal are good too, I just bought the Total Repair 5 leave in protein cream to try. Thanks for the rec's!

P Wood: I used to love going to the salon when I was younger but now that I rescue cats I cant spend a lot on myself.i use Loreal preference box.colour for years and I have to say I love it .been using Loreal mascara for about 3 decades.i trust Loreal products .

Mstoastie R.: Hi Gabi, I’m a new subscriber, I found this video interesting and helpful, I’m wondering if in the brand Hair Food, would you suggest the PROTECT SHAMPOO and CONDITIONER? There’s one that saids it’s infused with White Nectarine & Pear Fragrance, it’s more expensive but I really try to preserve my hair color as much as possible… I’ve never tried this brand and was going to try the combo set for $20 but I need the color treated type. Ty in advance for a response.

Glam Girl Gabi: All the product links to Amazon are listed above in the description box (in the order that they were presented)! Please give me a THUMBS UP if you like this video (it really helps my channel grow!) If you found this video interesting, you may really enjoy watching this one next: Shampoo mistakes that are RUINING your Hair! | How to Properly Shampoo & Condition your Hair: https://youtu.be/7ttLZYg_Omk **Check out my merch shop. Purchases are appreciated and go towards helping me create more content for you! @t

Ell Doe: Can you please do a tutorial on how to properly use dry shampoo? Would appreciate it sooo much.

thegreenmanofnorwich: I remember when I got some frizz ease shampoo and I felt like I was really splashing the cash. I was rather taken aback when my fiance took me to kiehls to get shampoo and conditioner there

Jennifer in Oregon 🌲: Just be ware of buying the Biolage at stores like Walmart as the quality is different. I buy mine at a higher end drugstore (Riteaid in my area) and it’s been great!

Annie L: what brand of shampoo and heat protectant do you reccomend for straight fine hair?

E Grace: Sadly Joico and Biolage may have changed their formula as it now dries my hair out

Lucia BRILO: Thanks for your suggestions very helpful Will make it easier when your are in the shampoo aisle . Love your channel

Alex V: My mom has used biolage products and they damaged her curls. Unfortunately she had to cut of all the damaged end because it turned her hair straight. It looked horrible.

Florence Enigma: Got some Hair Food shampoo and conditioner and love them. Thanks so much for doing this video for idiots like me when it comes to hair care!

Bobbie Valencia: I’ve always loved hair food shampoos

Mrs C: I'm a salon product snob but the avocado hair food is BEAITIFULLY FORMULATED

Maryland Mermaid: I’m using Pureology, Bondi, and Crown Affair. Any good? Fine, shoulder length hair, color treated, some curl and frizz. Any suggestions?

Rony Rodriguez 🇨🇦: should one condition the hair after using the clarifying shampoo? ( asking for a friend )

Ting Ng: thanks for the suggestions!! could you recommend some drug store price range products for oily roots but dry end hair please? thanks!!

Hailey Klatt: The professional lines do not sell to drug stores or department stores. The products are only guaranteed when sold in a professional salon.

Leyla V: Hi, New to your channel. I’d like more videos about how to communicate properly with your stylist. Seems every time I ask for a cut with plenty of pictures as to what I want and what I don’t want, the stylist does whatever he wants and I end up hating my hair. Also would like videos about medium budget (the ones you don’t find at the drug store) hair shampoos and masks. TIA.

Zoe Oneeva: What is your opinion on Hask? I really enjoy their shampoo, conditioner and hair masks.

Cristina: Thank you so so much for this video!! Loved it! Will look for the Biolage and Joico at Shoppers!

Kim Williamson: What would you recommend for a natural blond (who has never colored her hair and doesn't want to) to naturally lighten her hair?

Brenda Rich: I love hair food. Omg you will notice how good it is after 1 use.

Dr Erin White: I was always advised to not purchased salon products in a drugstore, grocery store, or place like TJ Maxx. What are your professional thoughts about this? Thanks.

Sharon V: Excellent video!! Lots of good options

Amelia Bedoya: hey girl! loved this video. i was wondering what your opinion is on kerastase

B P: Thank you for all this great suggestions.

Pax: I have worked in hair forever and created a lot of hair products. A lot of shelf products aren't useless. You don't really need to wash your hair everyday unless you have scalp or other issues. It's not really good for your hair or scalp. Let it get greasy. If you need to wash daily sweat or some dirt out, try a cowash (washing hair with conditioner) and see if that brings it out. Your natural sebum is your best friend. I'm not hating shampoos on market at all. They're great products but don't use all the time. Try washing your hair with acv if you need to

Angie Pace: I have darker brown hair with grey in it that looks like Christmas tensile. Lol. I was wondering what would happen if I uses a product meant for blonds? Would it lighten in a nice way, lighten at all, or lighten in blotches? Thank you to all who take the time to read my comment. ❤

Adriana: Can you recommend non-drugstore brands specifically for fine thin delicate hair?

Kelsea Settles: I’ve heard dimethicone makes your hair call out. For example. Treseme so what shampoo and conditioner doesn’t make your hair fall out ??

Ginsuegirl: IF someone has sensitized to box dyes, uses henna for hair..will John Frieda shampoo/hair color deposit be equal to chemicals or similar to dyes, and cause a bad reaction?

Maureen floralpark: Great video, thanks. So few good unscented shampoos.

Evy S: I just found your channel. Am loving it ! My hair is fine but it is so soft. It feels like silk. Which makes it horrible ! Is there anything now that will make it less so. They used to have shampoos that alone made your hair full. Now they have so many softening products in the shampoo it makes my hair flat . Even when I go to the salon my hair looks awful. Most people go and come out looking great, I come out and look like a flat straight mess.

Randy Rosiello: I would love to see humidity anti frizz hairspray and something to help flyaways for grey hair

Lucy in the sky: ULTA is a professional salon. The products they sell there are guaranteed.

sullyduke: Great channel! What do you think of Nexus products in the drugstore?

Nicole roussel: I used the John frrdia shampoo and conditioner for blonde hair when I started working

Jennifer Herold: What are your favorite shampoos (professional) for dyed blonde, thin, oily with sometimes dandruff. I figure you are so busy you won’t respond but I figured I would try.

Aphrodite: Matrix biolage and Joico are not drugstore brands, they’re salon quality.

Randy Rosiello: I would love to get help with grey hair products.

earthcultr: i love hair food the coconut chai is my FAVORITE summer to fall hair product

Lady Jade: Great info!

Julie V: Excellent video thanks so much!

Lorie: I'd like to know what daily shampoo is best to use for thin, straight, naturally white hair.

Anna Maria: My hair is colored blonde and I love my Joico products

Marla Barrett LMP: Love your top!!

Debbie: What about tips for black girls hair??? We can't wash our hair 3-4 times a week!

Pamekay: My gray comes back in two weeks. Using Wella koleston perm color 77/0 and developer. My hairdresser does is once every 9 weeks and I do touch ups myself but my hair is thinning and hate doing it every two weeks. I use Pantene for color treated hair. Only wash once a week ‍♀️ Is it the shampoo? Or the Wella ???

Steph: Salon brands that are sold in the drug store should not be used, they are counterfeit so there’s no way to tell what’s actually in them. Salon brands are sold only in Salons or of course at the professional beauty supply stores that only hair stylist can buy them from and not the general public.

Destiny Montes de Oca: SCREW L’ORÉAL THEIR HAIR SPRAY “one wash hair dye spray” STAINED MY HAIR FOR OVER A WEEK

Priscilla Nieto: Honey, Joico and Biolage aren't selling to drugstores. Those are products that drugstores have bought on the black market, where the black market seller left them to expire beforehand or filled with an entirely different product. To say that Joico and Biolage are selling to drugstores is very disrespectful to the brands and misleading.. Education is key here.

Ann Gutgesell: Thank you for this.

ray 86: Love your hair that's why I viewed this

MahBoo: Can I use a different Conditioner from the Shampoo I used ??

Marijke Roest: ive never seen any of these at the drug store in canada :(

Katy C: What are your thoughts on heritage by mindy?

Micheal Smith: What do you think of Monat I would love to know your opinion

Readings by CARA: must try mixed chicks !

J Chow: Thank you.

Alex Hernandez: Do you know of any shampoos that are good for men with greasy hair

Chloe Lamothe: What if I used the curly shampoo on straight hair

buddy holly: But why are they good?

JimBearOne: HAIR FOOD I like the WHITE NECTARINE and PEAR. PANTENE Nutrient Blends Pure Clean and Clarify Shampoo and Conditioner No fragrance, silicones or parabens.

Jaya Dama: So many hacks of Shampoo and Conditioner.

Iverson Ward: 6:00

hobbyartist: Disliked the video for the simple reason you said you don't like sulfates in drugstore products. We all know that non-curly hair salon lines contain the exact same sulfates drugstore lines do.

Helen.A: Joico and biolage are my stables.just found you recently and love your videos and very glad to see you're a canadian ☺️ are you in instagram?

Shirley Bartolo: Hi can you reccomend sonething for itchy scalp and hair loss thanks

Shaunty McMillin: They're all covered in single use plastic, and they're watered down. Anything that wasteful sucks.

Nicole Brueckner: Thanks

Rdlx68: “Drugstore” being a “dirty word” to you should be so embarrassing, check your privilege then check your IQ because you’ve got them mixed up

*ˢᵘᶻᵃⁿ •°: Thank

Laurie kennedy: Ooh love joico
