Hey guys, I'm going to show you my quick one hour wash day. This is my twist and go style and yes for anyone who may not be natural watching this one hour for us, Natural girlies is quick. So let me show you how I do this twist and go so this is my hair before it's dry, Tangled and in need of a trim for sure and because I put off wash day for a bit too long at this point, I'm actually gon na quickly. Soften and detangle the hair before I start washing using a detangling conditioner, this will sort of act like a quick pre-poo so applying the Multi-Use Softening Leave-In Conditioner from Melanin Haircare, I'm working the product in from ends and up to the roots. Now it's up to you, you can leave the product in or rinse it out, I'm going to rinse it out and look at her she's back in the game: she's looking detangled and moisturized okay quickly. Let'S shampoo, I'm cleansing the hair with the African Black Soap. Reviving Shampoo from Melanin Haircare, it's a super rich clarifying shampoo and it's a real African black soap. I'M using the super helpful nozzle to to apply the product directly into my hair and onto my scalp. I don't wash my hair with the African Black Soap Shampoo every week. I go back and forth between different cleansers, because this is a potent clarifier, so I'll use this about once a month or every other week. If needed., Regardless of what shampoo you use, always cleanse your hair twice, I'm gon na go back in. For my second cleansing, you always want to shampoo your hair twice because it guarantees a clean scalp. The first wash essentially breaks up any product, buildup or product cast and washes away the topical issues, while the second wash is able to address your hair and scalp to get them perfectly clean. So always remember, wash once to remove the product and wash twice to clean. Your hair and scalp now we're feeling fresh, we're looking clean, it's giving bouncy I'm gon na go back in now to add the moisture back in grabbing the Multi-Use Softening Leave-In Conditioner. I'M applying this all over my hair from the ends to the root.. Now, because this is my quick wash day routine, I'm not going to have time to deep condition, but I will need to detangle my hair in sections so applying the conditioner all over my hair before I start working in small sections is a way for me to Have the conditioner on my hair for a longer amount of time, so I can get a little mini deep conditioning session in for the hair. That'S waiting to be detangled., So it's kind of a way to cheat a deep conditioner session and kind of get one in when you don't have time. Working one section at a time. I always finger detangle now as it's the quickest and the most gentle, at least for Type 4 hair anyway.. The only time I detangle my tight coils with a brush is, if I'm deep conditioning - and I always do that outside of the shower and I'll - be sharing that method in another video when I feel like my hair is thoroughly finger detangled I twist the section up And I wrap the twist in a bantu knot to keep it out of the way now, I'm just grabbing another medium to large section of hair to repeat that process. When all of my sections are detangled and twisted up into bantu knots, I'm done no really. I am done. That'S it now, just squeeze out all the excess water release. The Bantu Knots and gently wrap your twist in an old t-shirt to help collect the excess water and help your hair dry quickly without adding frizz. What I'm using here is actually my LUX T-shirt: Hair Towel, which is literally the most comfortable, absorbent and largest hair towel. I'Ve ever used it's from Melanin Haircare, my company.. I designed it because I was tired of looking for old t-shirts for my hair. I wanted something that felt more luxurious and intentional and gave me a better experience on wash day plus the material that we sourced is amazing. It'S super thick and stretchy, and the pattern is so cute, so I'll wear this around my house for a bit until most of the water is absorbed, then before bed I'll switch it out for my satin head, wrap, that's smooth and gentle for sleeping on so for Bed I'll apply my head, wrap and I'll wrap the ends to the back. I bring the ends around the front and crisscross them over and then just tie them in the back, and that's it that way. The twist can hang freely. As I sleep now in the morning, you have a few options: if your hair isn't totally dry, you can leave the hair in twists and just wrap them in a bun. So you have like a little twisted bun or if your hair is dry, you can take the twist out for a curly Twist and Go look So applying the Multi-Use Pure Oil Blend from Melanin Haircare on my hands and then to my hair, I'm just unraveling. Each of those twists that I created in the shower one by one - you just do this really carefully making sure your hands are coated in that greaseless oil and separating The Twist, where they would naturally separate to avoid any frizz'' me. Something in my brain holds you I've been hanging by myself'' and that's it. No additional styling is needed. I literally just washed twisted and went it's a Twist and go, and this has been my go-to style for the past year, because it's so quick and easy keeps my hair healthy. It looks great and it allows me to still have different styling options while I'm low on time. So what do you think guys? Isn'T it so fluffy and cute and most importantly, for my type 4 girlies? It'S quick and easy. Dare I say this twist and go? Is actually more of a wash and go than a typical wash and go itself? I literally washed twisted and went anyway.
