Testing Blue Shampoo On My Hair

What will happen to my hair if I put on Blue shampoo, let's find out together, so blue shampoo is formulated with blue and violet pigments. If you look on the color wheel, blue cancels out orange and I have a bit of orange tint on the ends of my hair, because my hair was previously red now. Normally I do this in a shower, but for the sake of this video, I'm doing it in my room. You know the funny thing. Is you guys all agree that this looks really purple, but I'm going to trust a shampoo bottle. I left it on for five minutes and then I rinsed it off in the shower, along with another shampoo over. This is what my hair looked like afterwards. I can see that it did cool off my brassiness

ت☺︎︎𝔽𝕒𝕟𝕥𝕒𝕤𝕚𝕫𝕖𝕣☺︎︎ت: Gerald in the third clip just looked straight at the camera and smiled lol

Angie Strawberry: I love how you see Gerald in the background

AJ John: reminder: blue/purple shampoo isn't a permanent fix. it's super temporary, and for full effectiveness, needs to be used consistently. so pls don't get mad at the shampoo brands for "false advertisement" chances are, it's just user error

YourLocalTeenager: LMAOO Gerald in the background just smiling is so funny

Charlie The Simp: You’ll never know how I got this many likes

Paulina: gerald in the background like:

Hariku Yuki: Gerald in the background: hey babe, have you seen my glasses?

Katey Wang: NO BUT GERALD'S SMILE edit: ive only ever gotten 2 likes

𝖲𝗇𝖾𝗁♡: Your hairs are already so beautiful!

Mei Lin: Gerald smiling like that, looking straight at the camera looks like my sleep paralysis demon just hovering over me

Marie Mueting: I use purple shampoo for my blond hair and I feel like it really makes my hair color less brassy❤

Priya Durgadeen: I love how Gerald walked in, smiled, and spawned out in the 4th clip!!

Brisky Boy: I always recommend that blue shampoo for brassy hair! Tho it’s not blue, it’s kinda like a indigo. And be careful on what the bottle says! There are blue shampoos that are blueee bluee and that’s meant for brunette hair. Otherwise it would turn your hair green :0 !!

Ashley Walton: As these are meant to be used daily at most, they have very little actual colorant/pigment that sticks to hair. That’s why it only changes the hair a little

rumplestiltskin: Be careful with blue/purple shampoo. If your hair is damaged more in certain areas, the tone will be uneven. Or if you have blonde highlights it can leave the highlights blue. Source: I did this on my own hair and parts of it ended up silver and the rest blue.

M E: it left purple streaks which proves it was too purple for your case. i recommend the blue shampoo from l’oreal professional line - it’s a blue that leans slightly green which is perfect for correcting reddish orange. they also have a completely green cc shampoo

Karmyn Hartman: I have a question what is the best skincare brand and product that you have used or are using because I love new ideas and love to do skincare a lot

Hailey L: He just smiles in the background

Isabella💋🤩: Not Gerald just doing his own thing in the background!

Lexi Estrada: Life hack: don’t get your hair wet before you apply it.

Hanna TV: LOL Gerald just smiling in the background

Olive O'Sudden: While pigmented shampoo or conditioner is meant to be rinsed out, neither is going to be as effective if you immediately wash your hair again with another shampoo. Blue/violet shampoos work by depositing a small amount of colour which then acts as an optical whitener to cancel out yellow and orange tones in your hair. By using a regular shampoo after the blue shampoo, you're stripping the small amount of colour that you just deposited! The optical effect of the blue/violet colour can't work if you've washed it out. P.S. 'Light Blue Shade' is the best brand of blue/violet shampoos and conditioners. They're effective, inexpensive, and have a pleasant, not-overpowering scent. You can find it in Canada.

Chezza Luna: I did this with a semi permanent limecrime over slightly yellow lifted blonde, and the pravana masque and it's very persistent. It definitely helps with staying power or if your water is turning your hair undesirable tints. It's great for maintenance and changing tones slightly.

ツモモ: Blue shampoo is for maintaining tone. To actually cover the brassiness you need to use a toner with peroxide to actually lift a little of the red colour and add pigment.

Lisa Kalfus: Careful! If it's really blue , and you have yellow in your hair rather than orange, you'll get GREEN. Purple instead will cancel yellow and give you coooler blonde result.

Emma Alderman: My mom was a cosmologist and if you want the best results (not tryna be rude or bossy just tryna give a tip) but wash your hair with normal shampoo first then do the purple/ blue shampoo if you do the purple/blue first the regular shampoo will make it wash out and not as effective but it still worked perfectly on your hair!! Your so beautiful!! ❤❤( please don’t take this the wrong way I’m just trying to help out)

Bree: I use that shampoo all the time. My colorist recommended it to be since my natural hair is dark but I have lots and lots of blonde highlights. It’s better than a regular purple shampoo for bleached but naturally dark hair :)

Inquisitormasterfan: I love how Gerald is smiling to the camera

LoveLee: Blue cancels out orange, purple cancels yellow. If you have orange in your hair it's best to use a blue dye heavily diluted with conditioner and leave it for the same 5ish minutes. I don't know why they only make purple shampoo and not blue shampoo, but I'd guess it's because all it is is a toner in soap.

Stryder Mclean: Matrix Blue Shampoo is great because it’s a Violet/Blue meaning it’s safe for blondes aswell. Not as effective for brown hair that’s faded to orange though.

Georgia Mocanu: To be more specific, blue does not cancel out orange instead it makes a complementary color or in other words it makes a brown that looks good with both the blue and orange you mixed together.

Dylan T D: I died my hair blue and I was told to use that shampoo to keep it blue. My hair has faded again (to a blonde/orange colour) and using this brings out some blue and reduces the orange which is great

Zo Funni: these products are always refered to as violett shampoo/products on the packaging here. Never blue so i am with u, that is odd

Olivia White: I use that every night instead of regular shampoo for died hair works great

Moncerrath Tapia: When you use purple shampoo make sure you mix it with a moisturizing shampoo purple shampoo can be very drying

Storm Savage: When I was blonde I would use it on my dry hair and leave for 30 minutes and then wash outa and follow with a deep conditioner - can leave purple/lilac streaks for a week or so but it washes out sooooooooo icy

Alyssa Playz: I use purple shampoo to make my natural blonde streaks more noticeable

Dustin: Don't shampoo the blue out!! That defeats the whole purpose. Do blue shampoo AFTER shampooing with your reg shampoo. Honestly a lot of girls should be using blue instead of purple, or in addition to purple bc purple ONLY removes yellow from the hair which is already very light. You need the blue to get out the orange which is the really noticeably brassy darker blonde

Bambalina Is: I love your relationship with Gerald

Sydney Rue: Try doing purple and blue shampoo for your hair cause it’s like in between blonde and brown and it’ll help with the brass

Arye B: your hair is stunning.

Eeeeerrrrr: Try diluting it with water and dampen all your hair thoroughly. You can leave it on for a longer period with out leaving purple/blue stains.

Kenzie S: Blue shampoo Cancels Orange, Purple shampoo cancels yellow. That's really the only difference and it will have more of a purple tint.

Rada Sobakina: Gurl, you're supposed to put shampoo only on your roots, and conditioner on your ends, because the ends are the driest, and the scalp is the oiliest.

Michelle Simmons: I HIGHLY recommend toning conditioners instead, that way you don't lose hydration

Frantiska Mezihorakova: Can just everyone agree that she is ✨slaying✨in these sunglasses

hanusashtika Uthamamona: i like how gerald is in the back of the camera and smiled

Sara N: Lesson 1 : NEVER TRUST SHAMPOO INSTRUCTIONS

Changbinsboyfriend: I love how Gerald was in the background smiling :)

end3r!! ˖⁺: I'd be careful though! My friend with bleached hair used a similar product and after a while her hair began to be tinted purple

LaRjIbOlAlA: God they're perfect for each other....

taylor swift fan 💕: i have the same blue shampoo as her! you can buy it for $20 on amazon and the brand it matrix i have used it 3 times in the last 2 weeks and it has made such a difference! i have brassy hair and it now looks so blonde and colorful! make sure to leave it in your hair for 5 minutes

Love: "Blue shampoo" is silver shampoo as we say over here at least. It's supposed to help remove yellowish colors in blond hair... that's the purpose of using it.

TaniaLovesColor: You need to add way more shampoo. Whether you are using blue or purple if you really want it to work you need to fully saturate the hair with a lot of toning shampoo.

ItzLaaibah: I’m getting highlights tomorrow so this is amazing thanks ❤️

sum bunniii: Bruh u look so good with white/silver purple hair !! U should try it or mix it with the brown color like streaks in front

Maggie Humphrey: Blue shampoo works way better for my hair then purple a nice man working in ulta recommended it to me like four years ago still wish I could thank him more

maybe crazy: Omg you should work at a spa or hair salon or something like that because I remember in one of your past videos you said you were still trying to find your career path

Fluffy Donut: Your boyfreind is so cute! You guys are perfect tOGATHER

habibah: I love how he enters the room just smiling at the camera then leaves

the paisley!!!!!: omg wendy i love you so much you are so sweet and kind and funny and i love your content

Nkem Dilim: Gerald smiling bc he thinks being lucky that he don't have to do all that work to put in place his hair behind the camera

Tilli Pollard: I accidentally fell asleep with purple shampoo in my hair for about 8hrs I washed it out and my whole head with silver . Went to school that morning and got bullied

James Delatour: Oh you can leave it in for hours as a toner, you’ll get a few purple bits and might feel a bit dry but it’s better than nothing.

Gabrielle: I'm naturally blonde and use purple shampoo works amazing

Emma Luban: Your hair looks awesome!

Baddie101: I love how Gerald is always in the background just vibing.

Alice: Wow gerald at the back and looking straight and smiling

Richelle: i have the same silvershampoo as you're using in the video. the smell is so gooood. another good one to try is the ''ice cream no-yellow shampoo'' its a tall pink bottle

Skin care is fun🫧: I just wanted to let u know Wendy that u are the best at entertaining me ur my favorite person and I need a lot of skin care tips! If u can help pls try and respond to reach out to me!

Eli: HIS SWEET SMILE AT THE BACK❤️

Lif3$uck$: I use that shampoo and it helps my hair so well I think it did really good on your hair too girlie ❤️

Yourfavebrunnete: Its funny how Gerald just looked at the camera and smiled

Emily Milmine: When I Had blonde hair which I plan on going back to I recommend putting it on like once a week, but that’s just my experience

Navya Budhiraja: Love your videos but a tip i would like to give you that- Always apply SHAMPOO ON SCALP and CONDITIONER ON HAIR STRANDS otherwise it damages your hair really bad.......

°Emmas Tropic°: Gerald at the back But her hair looks so good i think the shampoo worked!!

AtlanTIS: That's a good job. Most brands I've bought turned my hair patchy blue or purple, so...

Randoms: You should do pink next it comes out super easily and it doesn’t stain!

Pink Rainbow: Hunny , If theres a whitch in your family doing voodoo on you it doesn't matter what product you use lol

Oak_Tails: My hair is natural blond, its very light and when I use blue shampoo, it stains my hair silver with blue and purple streaks

carina swanson: Try the biologe purple shampoo, it's so purple it will stain your hands for a day or two... and your hair if ur not careful

ILoveGoofyCatsSM: Purple also Cancels out yellow so if you had yellow in your hair it should help tone it down

Janle: You can't use another shampoo or a conditioner after the blue shampoo. It will erase the effect of the Blue shampoo and it can cause more damage to your hair

Maddie Ward: They also have a purple conditioner!!! i have that exact shampoo with the sister conditioner and it kept my highlights super light and pretty

Leke: Lo digo por experiencia, si tienes el pelo decolorado unas 3-4 veces y te lo dejas durante la noche te queda un violeta azulado super lindo

𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐢 ʚ😊ɞ: Gerald in the back

Wabi Sabbi: Put it on your hair dry for 15 minutes it makes a big difference! ❤

victoria 🫶🏼: my actual stupid self that knows nothing abt hair care rly thought that bc ur hair is a light color the blue shampoo would make ur hair blue IM SORRY

Abhijeet Kumar: I just use a 6 in one shampoo and body wash... works like a charm

Amelie Zechner: Please stop putting shampoo in your ends! It will dry them out! Put shampoo on your roots and conditioner or masks on the ends. And yes, they sell blue and purple conditioner as well.

DayDream gaming: Her hair was kind of yellow but it turned into a grayish color not saying it is ugly it’s beautiful ❤

CakeDelhs: Gerald just looked at the camera and smiled lol

Madds vlogs: I use blue shampoo but another brand and it helps my head so much

Colt Dawson: Girl you look good with grey hair

𝔰𝔢𝔯𝔦𝔫𝔞 𝔪𝔬𝔬𝔫: YouTube about to take over tiktok with the way it takes u straight to the shorts instead of the home page when u open the app

Katherine Dorton: you need to use a toner with a volume developer, I use wella t18 with 20 vol

La Mellow: Can I recommend Joico blue shampoo? I loved it!!

Lanaas_LifeVlogs♥︎: Sooo story time! My hair is blonde and one day I went and bought purple shampoo bc my hair was looking flat I made the decision that I’d keep it in overnight and my hair turned almost white

Urza: Yes, that’s what purple shampoo is made for, cancelling brassy tones.
