I started water only hair care in May 2020. It is called NoPoo(No Shampoo), and some Japanese minimalist try it.

And recently I started using shampoo again.

In this video, I'm talking about my NoPoo experience, its advantages and disadvantages, and why I stopped NoPoo.

Have you ever heard of nopu? No pu means that you do not shampoo your hair in Japan, washing your hair with only hot water is called yusham and it is popular among minimalists. I'Ve been washing my hair with only hot water for more than two years, and recently I started using shampoo again in this video. I will talk about my notebook experience, its advantageous and disadvantages and why I stopped hello, my friends, if you are new here, my name is now I'm trying to be a sustainable minimalist on this channel. I make videos about sustainable, minimal and simple lifestyle in Japan. I started nope around May 2020. I was suffering from severe skin problems at that time and I was doing skin fasting, which means not using any skincare products. On my face, I decided to stop using shampoo as part of that process. At first I washed my hair with Midway acidic soap and gradually I started using only hot water to wash. I simply scrub my scalp with the shower until it felt refreshed at first it was uncomfortable. My hair was sticky and my hairbrush was covered with white. Look like old oil. Surprisingly, the smell was not so bad. Of course it didn't smell as good as shampoo, but it was other list. After about a week, my hair was less sticky and my hair blush was less messy. My hair seemed to be accepting the no pool. Well, eventually my scalp became flaky. I washed my hair carefully with hot water every day. Thinking that I was probably not watching it enough, but it showed no sign of getting better. I decided not to wash my hair for two or three days watching it with hot water. Only once every few days and the flakes disappeared, I have dry skin, so washing my hair every day, even though it's just hot water was maybe too much the texture of my hair has changed. I can't say that my hair is as silky as the Luxe commercials. My hair became textured. My fingers didn't run through my hair as smoothly the shine, and the volume on my hair has increased. Also, my hair grew faster. The smell was not very noticeable to me. It smelled a little wild when wet, but no one has ever pointed out that it smells bad. The advantages of no pure are as follows: saves time and money the course of shampoo and the time to take a shower has been drastically reduced. I especially love the time savings since I was pregnant and raising a baby while doing no poo the hair became healthier. This is my subjective opinion, but my hair was thicker and firmer than when I was using shampoo frequently. Of course, it was not sticky here that fits a modern sense of beauty, but for me I thought it was healthy, as I will talk about later, using the shampoo changed it all at once to Silky Smooth. I don't think shampoo is an absolute necessity, but rather something that brings people closer to what everyone else think is beautiful and the last watch. I was happy to see that the amount of trash from plastic bottles and plastic bags of shampoo has decreased easier cleaning. All the bathtub, it was easier to clean the parts because there was normal slimy, shampoo and conditioner sticking to the floor. It gives me a chance to think about what necessary I used to think that shampoo was absolutely necessary, but now I realized that I can live without it. I feel kind of free the disadvantages of nope. As I see it are as follows. It takes time it takes time for the hair and the person to get used to not shampooing. Some people may not be able to tolerate it. If you have oily skin, it will take much more time to get used to it. Here becomes difficult to handle. My hair became firm and hair irons no longer worked. It will be difficult to arrange here other than a simple tank here. Also, if your hair is long like mine, it will start to tangle. Why did I stop? No proof, as I mentioned earlier, I started using shampoo again recently because I was tired of my long hair getting tangled when I use a shampoo. My hair fits Smooths to the touch as it had never been there before. Thanks to nopur, the seven production was reduced and the shampooing once a week is now enough for me, I am glad that I decided to go nopu because I was able to find a way of hair care that fits my lifestyle and hair type more than the Hair care that is generally considered good. I hope this video will be helpful to someone else. That'S all I have to say today. Thank you very much for watching to the end, see you again soon.

kyle litwack: I love the video! I'm a minimalist as well and I'm a couple weeks into not using shampoo. It's still kind of greasy but I have always had a sensitive scalp that would hurt unless I shampood every day and if my hair got too long it hurt too. So far it hurt for a bit but then it stopped hurting. I'm hoping it gets less greasy because I've always wanted long hair but it hurts so bad. Anyways I subscribed and hope to see more videos in the future.

Janne Maud: Very refreshing video! A breath of fresh air compared to the 15/20 minutes lasting ones about this subject! Very helpful aswell and the build up was great :) Thank you!!

Harshita Rawat: As someone whose skin get irritated by shampoos I started using amla+reetha+shikakai power for hairwash and it works plus no skin trouble. I do have to brush my hair after drying to get all the power crumbs out but it's really good and cleaning. Putting it here in case it might help someone.

altheaart: When I was in highschool, I was poor and don't have money to buy shampoo. I just shampoo my hair once I was able to save money to buy. My hair is super straight, shiny and smooth. My classmates said I can be a model of shampoo. Now I am an adult, earning and can shampoo every day. My hair became horrible.

Michael Abel: Super helpful info, ty I am doing baking soda and ACV about twice a month or so and at first my hair responded fairly well. My scalp is less flaky and oily than before but flaking is still a problem. Hair is not super silky but not very rough either. It is however still very frizzy. I will keep going at it and hopefully it will get better. Perhaps I will try only hot water or perhaps I will opt to shampoo once a week ‍♀

Chloé K.: Hello from France ! ✨ I didn't know anything about NoPoo before watching your video. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I learned a lot ! I tend to struggle with my scalp issues... I will keep your piece of advice in mind in case it doesn't get better

Wendy: New subscriber absolutely love the idea of the no poo I may consider it also I only wash my hair every 7 days it takes getting used to my hair doesn't produce a lot of oil as it did before it takes time Thank you so much

LittleP: This is very interesting to try! Thank you for this lovely video

I'm River: Here for research purposesThinking about trying this.. Thanks for this great video!!

Ester Tankosic: Why would anyone wash their hair in hot water? It's bad for the scalp and also for the hair. The hair is much nicer and less frizzy once you wash it in either warm or cooler water!

Olivia Zhu: Doing vinegar water rinses would help with detangling. :)

Zarif Khan Music: Thank you very much! I will give a nopoo a try too.

예쁜과자: Thank you:)

Menna Amer: Maybe it's good for your hair as it's straight most of you.. No many products so no more buildup no need effective cleanser ingredients... But for millions who have another hair type that need more products even called natural and organic brands it's need effective ingredients to clean water is not enough

homeschooling.homestead_gina: So, can you condition it?

Eulalia: Very interesting. Your accent is very beautiful as well as your hair.

mokosh: How do you cut your hair? Do you Do it yourself? Bangs?
