Don'T touch hey y'all, it's me lauren danielle and today i am bringing you all my wash day routine. I wanted to provide y'all with some personal hair facts of mine in case anybody wanted to compare or take notes from what i was doing, and one of those facts is that i do have alopecia. So, throughout this wash day routine video, i will be showing how i treat that when prepping for my wash day routine, i make sure i have all my clips on deck and remove any jewelry that i may be wearing that day, because i've been so blessed by God of having a head full of thick hair, we have to work in sections. This is no pantene commercial. Here it doesn't work. So i like to divide my hair into four and then doing so just allows my hair to remain tangle free for the most part. Whenever i'm once washing hair is wet, i like to break my section in half, so i clip away the top half of the section and start working with the bottom, i'm going in with this first shampoo. This one was prescribed to me by my dermatologist to treat my alopecia and when using this one, i focus it on my scalp and the roots of my hair closed captioning, not up with a more available shampoo by design essentials, because this shampoo subs up so well. I actually detangle my hair at this step in the routine. Instead of waiting on conditioner, i start off with finger detangling and then you'll see me go in with a denman brush later, whenever i'm using a denman brush and i'm wanting a very thorough detangle, which is what i usually aim to get on wash days. I make sure that i'm brushing both sides of the hair, as you see here and then i'll even go in vertically and start brushing the hair down. Once i rinse out the second shampoo, i go ahead and twist up my hair and i pin it to the opposite side of my head to keep it from getting in the way. While we work on the second section and then we just repeat the steps we just did after washing both sections, i take the two twists and i twist them together to form one. And then i take that one twist and i form a bantu knot and i pin that bantu knot to my head, so it stays out of the way while washing the remaining three sections me my dreams. Once i wash all of my hair, i go ahead and take out all four of the clips and i unravel the twists, some of them kind of start to unravel themselves, which is fine, because we're going to do that anyways. I go in with this macadamia deep conditioner repair mask dog, this stuff right here, i'm late, but this is probably the best conditioner i've ever used. So now, i'm just working section by section with the deep conditioner this stuff just makes my hair feel like butter, and i know it looks like it's a lot of twisting, but it's really not because these twists don't even know that y'all like these are just some Very loose twists just to keep my hair from wrapping around each other and just keeping it detangled um. I always make sure i coat the ends of my hair with deep conditioner and the perimeter of my head as well, so i used to take a shower before washing my hair. However, i think after watching one of jackie aina's video she mentioned taking it afterwards, so you don't get back me so y'all know jackie, don't tell nobody wrong, so i'm gon na do what jackie do and then this was me just clean up the restroom, because that Was a process within itself, so for this week's wash routine we are steaming. This is a step that i only do once a month, but i wanted to show y'all how i do it. I usually do it when i use a lighter conditioner on my hair. Instead of the mask that y'all saw me use, but i wanted to show y'all everything and my favorite products, so this is what we're doing today, halfway through the steam about at the 15 minute mark, i like to clip my hair up. So the ends of my hair can also benefit from the scene and if you think i went straight to the sink after steaming, you are mistaken. I most definitely sat in this deep conditioning cap for 24 hours. One of my twists ended up unraveling. While i was deep conditioning for the 24 hours and i went ahead and retwisted it, so it wouldn't get tangled while we rinse it off, and this is me refusing to get back in the shower. But y'all get the gist. And this completes the end of our wash day routine. This ointment is what i put on my scalp every single day, so i make sure to go in with this after washing my hair, make sure you guys like comment and subscribe, and definitely let me know if you enjoyed the video, because this is probably one of My favorites on my channel i'll see y'all later there's no one's here.
