Hi guys …

Salon address: 57 Brill Street, Westdene

Bloemfontein, South Africa

If you just go for a trim and silk press or only a silk press, you won’t get to the R650 amount ❤️ the treatment is what made everything pricey

Thank you so much for watching xoxo

So hi guys and welcome back to my channel if you're new here my name is badou, so today i'm going to go and have a soak press done um. As you can see, i have my hair out and my hair. In my opinion, i feel like it hasn't grown past this point and i think it's because the ends are dead and unfortunately i don't know how to cut my own ends. So last week, saturday, i went to the salon and i just made an appointment with the lady. I said to look at my hair. What does my hair need that she says? Then she said: okay, we can trim your ends and do a little treatment and then i and then i added and then can i please also have a silk question. She said: okay, no problem, you can come on tuesday, so so the reason why i asked her for silk braces because i've been thinking about relaxing my hair a lot. But then i just came to the conclusion that you know what i don't need to relax. My hair, because my hair, like the texture, it's very fine, you know my hair's not too thick or anything, so i don't really need to relax my hair. I just need a little bit of heat and then it's like you know, silky and flowy, and all of that, so that is what i'm gon na do and i'm gon na record the whole process for you guys, so you guys can see so yeah. This is my hair and my hair used to be a more ginger color, but i dyed it this color because it was shedding a lot when it was ginger. So i just went a bit darker so yeah. Now it doesn't shed anymore actually, but it's just that. I have a lot of see-through ends. I don't know if you guys know what i mean by see-through ends i'll try to insert a picture. They don't show right now, but sometimes when i come out on my head and i look in the mirror, then i can see there are some see-through ends. You know that's why. I also know that i have to cut my ends so yeah. Let me not blab any further, let's get into this video okay, so the lady started off by washing my hair and she has to use a lot of shampoo because i had a sleek bag like a few days before i came for myself press, so my hair Had a lot of product build up, it was very dirty and very oily, so you guys will see she did like four or three rounds of shampoo and my hair only started making foam after like the third time. So then she had to go in for the fourth time, just to make sure that my hair is nice and clean and then i'm after washing my hair. She didn't put on like any conditioner so because she was preparing my hair for the treatment that i'm gon na. Do so because of the treatment that i was gon na do, and there was no need for her to put on conditioner, because the treatment is a deep conditioner anyway. So the treatment i got is called botox for hair, i'm not sure about the brand, but um. Getting botox on your hair is basically just like getting a deep conditioning treatment which will coat your hair fibers with a filler such as carotene. So botox is a non-chemical conditioning treatment which falls in any broken or thin areas on each hair strand to make the hair appear more full. So after my hair was nice and coated in the botox treatment, the lady went ahead and detangled my hair. So i like the way she detangled my hair, she sectioned um each section. Well, she sectioned my hair into sections and then she started by detangling each section and she was using a little detangling tool and i like the fact that she first detangles from my end and then she moves her way up to like my roots. So she starts tangling from the bottom and then going up. I don't know if it makes sense, but after my hair was very nice and detangled, she went ahead and put on a little plastic cap and then she placed me under the dryer. So after being under the dryer for around 10 to 15 minutes, the lady went ahead and rinsed off the treatment, but unfortunately i did not include this um that part here in this video, so yeah after she rinsed off the treatment she applied. Whatever she applied onto my hair, as you guys saw, and then she started off by um putting these rollers into my hair so with the rollers um they just like stretch out my hair before i actually get the silk press, because if she didn't do this like, If she didn't put the rollers into my hair, then when i got the actual silk press done, it was gon na take like more and more heat, because the lady would have had to use like more effort to stretch out my hair, whereas if she first puts Rollers into my hair, it already stretches out my hair, so then she doesn't need to do too much when she's like giving me the silk press. I don't know if it if it makes sense but um. The rollers is something that they only put on to our hair texture, like people with more like um, kinky or coarse-ish type of hair. But if you have like more silky hair, then i guess this part is not necessary. So then, you, after, like washing your hair, they will straight off start by blow drying your hair, but because, like i said, my hair texture is different. The lady first went ahead and put the rollers into my hair to stretch it, and then we proceeded with like blow drying my hair and straightening and so forth. Can you guys see how frizzy my hair looks like how frizzy my ends are? That is like all my dead ends and my split ends and all ends so yeah. This is why i had to like go ahead and you know trim my ends because can you see like if you look closely, you can also see that they are quite transparent and they look very dry, so yeah um after the lady like blow dried, my hair, Then she just went ahead and straightened it. Damn this hair looks good. I'M loving the color, i'm loving the length it's giving an ombre, ginger 12 inch, frontal wig, kinky straight so yeah. Obviously i just had to go ahead and admire my hair. You know take a few pictures because i'm cutting it, so it's not going to be this length again. You know, okay, it will be the same again, but i mean how was the first time i saw my hair being that length since i had my big chop. So yeah i had to go ahead and admire my hair, so yeah um after that she just went ahead and trimmed my ends. She trimmed quite a lot of my ends, but i'm not mad at it, though cause you know my hair's gon na grow and it's for a good course, and you know it's all about having healthy, because why does it help if your hair is long? But it's not healthy and your ends are all dead and you know so after trimming my ends. She decided to go in with the straightener one more time, just to make sure that my hair is nice and extra silky. Okay, you can see my ends. Are nice and trimmed? My hair is looking healthy, so the thing with cutting your split ends is: if you don't cut them, they move more up your hair shaft. So then, by the time you eventually start to cut them. You'Ll need to kind of morph your hair, because so much of the hair is dead and just split ends, so you need to cut them as quickly as possible so that they don't move more up in your hair shaft. I don't know if that makes sense. So that's why, if you cut them regularly, then you don't give them chance to move up instead, giving you a hair chance to grow down more hair grows down. But let's say: if you have split ends and your hair starts breaking and getting brittle, it goes in an upward position. They understand, that's how you need to um. So that's how you need to cut your split ends. You know and stuff like that. So um i asked the baby. How frequently am i supposed to cut my ends? Then? She said every eight weeks, so um every second month um. This is something that i will do every second month. If i have, if i can, then i will but um. I don't know my hair was pretty long before i cut my ends. So now it's a bit shorter, but i don't really mind because it's going to grow in a healthier way, because i'm not worried because i'm getting braids soon anyway, so my hair will have nice chance to grow. I'M hoping to keep my braising for eight weeks. I know you're not supposed to keep them in for more than six weeks, but i'm planning for six to eight weeks and i know i'll touch it on my braids and i can go and cut my ends again. You know, but i will just see everything that i did amounted to 6 15.. Let me check she sent me um the price on whatsapp everything amounted to 650, as you can see there um. So what she did was she did a treatment for me and then she cut my ends and then a silk press um. It is pricey, but i mean it's once in a while, and you know my hair's gon na grow nicely afterwards. So it's fine! You just got a bike bullet, but y'all. That is it from you guys. I hope you guys enjoyed this video and this hair transformation i'll see you guys next time. Thank you.
