You know van gaal you're, not forcing this and it's okay, it's not a competition. It really isn't hey guys. Welcome back to my channel. It is so nice to see you all here today. I wanted to gather us all. I wanted us to come and sit in this circle so that we can react to some forcey hair tic tocs. So a few weeks ago i had made a video titled. Your hair is not for seasist, and you guys really took to it. A lot of you guys were agreeing with me, and one of the things that i mentioned was that i saw a lot of mislabeling of the forcey hair type, specifically on tic tac, even though we see it on youtube too, but tick tock is you know the Newest emerging social media platform, so i figured it would be fitting to just let's search the 4c hair hashtag on tick tock and let's see what pops up, let's see, if we, you know, find any of those mislabelings. Let'S just go through what you know. Forty hair could possibly look like, and i think these things i don't know, i think it was a cool idea so anyway, if you guys are excited for this video make sure to give me a thumbs up and if you aren't already i'm just gon na need You to do once again once and only for me, okay and that's the subscribe. It'S a very free tint, it's very free so just make sure you're subscribed and hit that notification bell as well. So you always get notified when i post a new video and let's get right into it, girl. Oh also, i want to do a quick shout out to some of the black owned brands that i'm wearing today, because, yes, we are rocking black out honey, so this head wrap is from atara avenue and my earrings are from a foray, so i will have links Down below to these and yeah, so let's jump right in so before we get started, i'm going to give a shameless plug, because who would i be if i didn't do that? Y'All should follow me on tick tock, all right, so i just typed in 4c, hair on tick tock and we're just going to look at the videos, and this should come up to hashtags and all that stuff. So 4c hair is a real popular tic toc. All right, let's do this, i'm not sure when it became cool for everyone right. Everyone just wanted to be forced, but like saying that you're, a certain hair type when you're not makes girls that are that actual hair type really insecure about their hair, because when the hair doesn't curl the way yours does, because you know your hair is not foreseen. These are looking down on their hair when their hair is actually very beautiful, and you know not all natural hair has to curl and horsey hair doesn't, which makes it so unique. So you know just like not saying that you're 4c, if you really aren't, because if your hair is curling and you get definition and all that stuff like maybe your hair isn't foresee, because forcey hair is coils and spirals and not curls, okay, okay, so promise miss Promise underscore elisa, you are a very smart girl. You get an a and then e for effort, yes um. I definitely agree with this um. One thing i will say, though i do think it's a common misconception that forcey hair doesn't curl and it's not really that horsy hair doesn't curl it's that 4c hair has very tiny coils that aren't uniform, so you'll have different, tiny curls all over, which is why You won't have clumping, which is why a lot of times, you won't see a defined curl, but anyone with forcey hair knows like it's just tiny: they dance they just real tiny, but some some don't necessarily curl they kind of just they do that and then some Do but then some are like: oh yeah, okay, so yeah. That was a very nice video. Thank you so much miss alissa next person. Okay, let's watch this video. I see this guy a bit a bit of times on tic tac. So, let's watch and let's see you know what someone set up this man is fed up. Oh my gosh, his hair is strong whoa. I love that video um yeah, so that was a pretty interesting interpretation. I'M trying to think does my hair necessarily do that because, like i mentioned in the last video um, there's a lot more to hair than just the curl pattern right. There'S your density! There'S the high, whether it's high porosity, low porosity um, whether it's fine, it's thick! It'S coarse, medium, coarse. All these different things, although so his hair does that when water touches it someone, maybe with low porosity hair, that may not happen as quickly. So that's something to keep in mind, but he is very fed up. I can tell, i wonder, i kind of want to go through his videos with king pink king king pryor, king prayer, hi, king prayer. I don't know about you guys, but i am i love just watching hair tutorials. They make they're so soothing, okay. This is interesting. Okay, so this girl um is interesting because she didn't necessarily talk about forcey, hair or like do a tutorial she, but she used it in hashtag because her hair is showing. Is she 4c, though? I'M not sure? I just think it's interesting that that's the only hat. That'S the only hair hashtag she used, and this is what i kind of mean about like how 4c hair has taken on its own, like this. Really it's like this cool term now and people use it because they use the hashtag or they use the title of a video because they know people are going to see it or they're they're going to look for that type of stuff. So i don't know if this girl has 4c hair. I can't i can't tell obviously from just looking at her hair from afar, but that is a very interesting thing. We'Ve seen this i kind of want to just check, but i'm not like. I said i don't. I'M not out here in people's hair, okay, but i'm gon na look just two seconds yeah. She don't even have videos like that and she use it for food. Interesting satisfying. Oh my gosh! This is so nice. Do you see how tiny this man's coils are? I mean from the looks of it. His hair is highly dense. He does look like he has highly dense hair, oh my god that is so satisfying dad yeah. Oh my gosh. His hair is super tight, but then ends look good baby. Those ends look great yeah. He has super highly dense hair stretch, your hair to the front and the side wait. No, i think my eyes are deceiving me. So let me let me watch it again, i'm not mad. I have grace for this young girl, okay, so this is what i'm talking about. This is what i need like you know what i had that whole video, like that's what i mean okay, so this is a classic example of a mislabeling of a hair type. So, based on what i'm seeing here - and it seems like her, hair or curls - are a lot more defined, even though there are some parts from what i'm seeing that aren't as defined. She does have tinier, coils and she's definitely type four, but she is not forty and i like i said i don't like telling people about the hair, because at the end of the day i cannot feel it. I cannot see it, i can't touch it. I don't know what it i don't know. I may see her in person. I may change my mind but from what i'm seeing here, she has tiny defined coils. So this is giving me 4a4b, but it's interesting because for her coils she has very tiny coils, but forcey has tighter. I almost want to say her. Hair is a little fine or like less less dense, but the cor. The curl size is a little bit larger than what um you would consider 4c, so yeah she's, definitely on the 4a 4b side, so yeah. She turned off her comments too, because she knew i know people was come for her, please just sometimes it's best just leave them it's okay, one day, they all just don't learn well. This is great because she's actually saturating her hair down, so we can actually see what her hair does when it's wet, which is, for you know, type 4 hair. You want to wet your hair down if you really want to be able to type your hair, her hair is, it looks like it was the conditioner on it and, as you can see, it doesn't like clump. So do you see our hair didn't actually clump together? I didn't really like, but there are some like coils and some curls in there. So this is definitely 4c and it actually looks a lot like my hair, which is interesting, but i think she's 4c. So it's like that kind of mix where you have some ringlets, but then you also do have those like pieces that don't really have a uniform curl all throughout the strand. It kind of just does whatever, but yeah, that's a good one. So this is the french. She has i'm i'm seeing larger, no, no yeah, not girl. So this is not forcey hair. So the thing about hair - oh god, it's so hard. You can have natural hair and you can have 3c. You can have whatever and there will still be parts of hair that don't necessarily clump together. Okay, so just because there's frizz in your hair doesn't mean it's 4c, but from what i'm seeing her ringlets are larger they're literally, you can literally see that they're larger. So i wouldn't consider this, but her texture hair is a lot like there's so much that goes into it. But if we're just talking curl pattern, no, she may have some forcey parts though, but i don't really see it. I would definitely say she has some forcing characteristics in here is all of her hair foresee, i don't think so. Curly hair orgasm for you paige natural hair, naturally, 4c hair curly hair check curly hair, i'm confused um. Is she trying to say her hair's foreseen or yeah, so so she is clearly not forcey yeah. Her curls are a lot looser, so i'm just kind of wondering why she used the 4c hair tag on that video. But i noticed on her other video. She didn't so maybe somebody checked her because you know vmware you're not forcing this and it's okay, it's not a competition. It really isn't it really it's just a few years ago. Nobody wanted to be 4c. So so i'm going to end this video off with this boys video, because i honestly, like it's really interesting to see his texture. The interesting thing about his texture is his texture is slightly tighter than mine, but i've mentioned before that. I'M a mix of 4b and 4c and then in the back i have 4a, i think well, yes, i do. He has like a true like full head of a forcey hair hair is in no way shape or form out the shower and curls. Okay, this [ __ ] looks like coils and it looks like a map, but a cute mop. You see this people think we must be bald. His hair is so dense, it's crazy. So if he had less hair on his head, though, you would see more of the tiny coils um but yeah he does have like really tight coils on his head, so cool, but it's also height like it's packed in there anyway guys. So that is it for today's video that was very interesting. It wasn't as bad as i thought, but some people definitely did try it and, let's not even get into youtube, we're not gon na. Do that or maybe we will. Let me know if you guys want to see a part two to this by liking this video and commenting down below and yeah i'll catch. You guys in my next one mwah, bye, y'all, you

Black Girl In Iran !: *Everyone is 4C, until it’s time to be 4C*

Sonny: I think a big indicator is how much “weight” the hair has. Everyone with 4C hair knows that even if it’s wet, 4C hair will never submit to gravity like other hair types. If your curls are drooping down and bouncing around when you shake your head, you’re definitely not 4C lmao

J Johnson: I cant lie , I hate when people say “You don’t have my hair, you can’t tell me what my hair type is!” and yeah that’s kinda true, but sometimes it’s pretty obvious that their texture AINT 4c

Krystal Smith: Is it me or is some people just mistaken their dry, damaged, strunken, kinky hair for 4c hair. I thought I was 4c but I recognize early on if I put some water, conditioner and oils in it, it would loosen up a little and i could see my curls popping. Some people just need to moisturize their hair while others, it does not matter how much moisture you put in it, they will not get defined curls. But because black hair is so diverse and beautiful regardless of the texture you might as well be greatful for it. You can do so much with it. Our hair is as diverse as we are. I see fair skinned blacks with 4c hair and very dark skinned black people with naturally loose waves. I love it. Because we are all different. We have similarities that connects us but our difference makes life interesting.

Gifted Child: The guy’s hair is the best representation of 4c hair. That’s exactly how my hair is/reacts. Great video as always Chizi

Blakk Smoothie: When she said, “ sometimes the coils go ✋☝ “ I DEEPLY FELT THAT

SystematicSarah: Honestly I think people who aren’t 4c claim they are so others can bombard them “omg girlll you’re like 3c/4a” they get a weird boost from it. It’s similar when some light/brown skinned girls say they’re dark skin or they’re adamant theyre “not light skin!!!!” they just want to be reminded they are. It’s weird.

JacieWorld: *"Just a few years ago no one wanted to be 4c"* I felt that!!!!! please do a part 2

Ewuresi Archer: It’s upsetting when me a 4C girl searches for solutions to my hair and all i see are people who are not 4C drowning out the ones that actually are that can help us.

Jahmelia Yo: Literally NOBODY liked 4c hair and now that people are realizing it’s beautiful , they want it. Just let them have something. They struggled with hate for their hair before it became a trend. So let them enjoy the spotlight.

La Fillette: Yessss, I believe my hair type is a mix of the 4’s and I definitely agree with you that a few years ago nobody wanted to be 4c but now it’s a trend

Valathia: The truth right here: "couple years ago no one wanted 4c hair", preach! It's really not fair or cute when people use certain characteristics for clout because they're trending. I just watched this video to get educated, the guys hair is gorgeous!! Its so thhhhiiick and luxurious.

The Art Girl: Just like people didn’t like Darkskin or Africans before. Now everyone has 4c hair IG: @x.nadia.o

HighfrequencyBeauty: It is so crazy how people jump pass 4a and 4b, and go right to for 4c

LaToya George: Another thing I've noticed a lot about 4c hair tutorials is the gel-ing and crazy amount of product they use to get the slick down look or more curl definition... And constant use of extensions. I prefer to look at videos that show you different ways to style YOUR OWN HAIR!! No shade, just looking for content for me.

Yours Truly: Ppl assume that 4c hair is dry, unmanageable, frizzy hair.

Michelle Grobbelaar: This 4c hair thing made me realise how 4c hair in America is seen as different to 4c hair in South Africa. Some American 4c YouTubers would be considered 4a here. And also a lot of 4c natural hair YouTubers are ignored and affected by texturism. It's interesting. The gent has really 4c hair though.

Tionna Johnson: And whenever there is 4c hair people say its ugly but the girl with 3b hair omg it's so pretty hair goals tiktok is full of people who are openly racist and trash

Aneesa H.: I’m not convinced people want 4C hair, they just profit off of it. 4C hair has the biggest market and viewers.

Ashley C: exactly, there’s a difference between CURLS and COILS the diameter of each “curl” has to be a certain length to be classified as a curl (ex: 3A/3B/3C hair is “curly hair”). It’s annoying that people don’t understand that 4c hair does have a curl pattern, it’s just super COILY coils/strands don’t ALWAYS clump together creating that “definition” people seem to be looking for. I feel like the density of your hair plays a big role in it too.

Destiny Nkechi: I love this video because people really be missing what 4c looks like and confusing young girls who genuinely want to learn how to take care of their beautiful 4C a hair!

thekingtye: People think that when their hair has a piece of afro in it that it’s 4c ‍♀️

Luci: I think that’s exactly the reason they say that they have4c. Our hair (4c) is flexible and highly dense meaning we can do anything with it and you never know how long it is . I love my 4c hair!

Palesa Chiliza: As a person with 4c hair . Our hair don’t curl Perioddtttt Every single strand is a curl in its own. So our hair don’t bunch up and define or nothin . I’ve given up on twist out or braid outs . But I love my hair. Any day

Grace Reid: As someone with 4z hair, I try to look for ways to manage my hair, but my search is always met with 4a people throwing their hair in messy buns and going about their day

Mekedzo: Nice to see people who actually know what 4C hair looks like <3

Izusa Davis: I relate to when she said "a few years ago nobody wanted to be 4c" I felt that because people with 4a/4b hair would bully us for having 4c, but now it's a trend. It's like they use our hair for views and clout but dont want the struggles we go through. To me it's like " struggle or no struggle, pick one sis"‍♀️‍♀️

カリナちゃん: Idk who this woman is but she's shady and I'm here for it

chardvnnay: I love these videos! I'm a hairstylist that was never taught about texture and curls so I'm taking it into my own hands to learn and be a more well rounded and inclusive stylist.

Frosty Frosty: Or another thing that makes me irritated is when people that don’t even have 4c try to comment stuff like “ that just moisturized 4c hair just because some of yalls is dry and undefined doesn’t mean hers isn’t 4c” Like no we can obviously tell that that girls hair isn’t 4c

Aisha B.: People wrongly using the 4c hashtags are the same mixed chicks using “dark skin” hashtags under their pictures to get promoted (yes I’ve seen it)...

Grace: Coming from an extended family of pin straight to barely wavy hair, I love seeing people of all hair types talk about their hair and how it does what it does. The fact that there are so many ways hair can be is so cool!!!

Khalilah Strong: I'm living for this real 4C action. Thank you Chizi boo

Sharon Eniye: Same way everyone is African till it’s time to be African, and then they start telling us black is different from African

Reign: Power to all the ladies with the 4C afros. I'm pretty sure mine falls under 3C but when I look at other girls with supposedly 3C afros and a lot of them have such wide curls that I wonder if there's something after 3C but that isn't all the way into type 4? It's just so dense and I break combs so often that watching other 3C folks work anything through their hair astounds me. Pretty new to the natural hair game after a big chop last year so I'm really not sure what's going on, it's been growing fast tho? XD

Marla Mescudi: I thought I had 4c hair for YEARS, like at least 6 years. Turns out I just didn't know how to moisturize it and I'm actually 3C/4A.

Maelle A: lol girl they still don't want 4c hair. Just want the views

Kimmy Howell: i remember when i had just started my hair journey 7 years ago and researched my hair. when i realised that it was 4c i searched youtube for 4c hair styles.. they were few far and in between and a good portion of them weren't even 4c. i ended up subscribing to NappyFu and Naptural85 because whitney had good tips and used organic products. then i found you Chizi 4 years ago. the thing is, people using #4chair for clout isn't new. i started following that hashtag on instagram and a page called 4c hair community and i had to unfollow because of how many 3c-4b hair i was seeing. i'm fed up

AllThingsFab Kitchen: Can we just pause for a minute and recognise just how seriously cute Chizi's eye-colour shades are!!!

Erica Cochrane: Though I'm not a member of the black community, I am loving your videos. I didn't know about the different hair types (I'm very white and my hair refuses to curl in any way. It is straight as can be), but I'm loving learning about different hair types, the amount of work that goes into looking after them, and the beauty of it all! I have so much respect for the amount of effort that goes into caring for such gorgeous hair! Thank you for your awesome videos.

Jey Johns: Can we just sit here for a second or however long to appreciate how gorgeously beautiful this woman is? And her confidence is a slap in the face. Makes the fact that she’s a goddess EVEN MORE OBVIOUS

Julianne Edwards: Remember when they used to hate us and call us nappy headed now they want all of the clout

Remi Moore: when she said some curls go ↖️↙️➡️⬅️⬆️↖️↙️↘️➡️... I felt that.

Cheyenne Marie: I think it’s harder for a lot of us 4b/4c, even sometimes some 4a girls, to differentiate our hair types when our hair is so dark. It’s easier to see and differentiate curl patterns on lighter hair, but bleaching hair can also affect its curl pattern, so it’s kind of a lose-lose for accurate hair typing

Thiccy Nikky: I'm really happy that people are starting to appreciate tighter curl patterns, although they are not necessarily doing it correctly, if we steer them in the right direction they'll get there soon.

Eric DeShaunn: This video is so informative, knowing what TRUE 4C hair looks like is so important.

Destiny: I really like the way the chart is now, because it puts hair into subsections and allows for people to see what hair type they are and easily find people with the same hair...helping to form a community to figure out how to take care of their hair. The only problem is that people have put such a negative connotation on hair like 4C, that its hard for people to find pride and happiness in their hairtype. Its not really the chart thats the problem its the people who are assigning emotions to the chart. Also people using the 4C hair tag, when they are obviously not 4C are disrespectful, riding on a "trend" for views.

Alisia Joy: I love for the laugh Chizi does when she’s done with the foolishness ✋

Makeda Bey: Honestly people will just tag anything with 4c har just bc they think it's "cool" when it actually missinformitive

jahmai holland: I love her videos and she’s saying exactly what needs to be said, great 4c advocate!!! For the longest I thought I was 4c but it wasn’t until I got locs then combed them out 3yrs later, that I realized I’m 4b/4c. Something about knowing how to care for my hair, and seeing the curls with fresh eyes years later that I was able to realize that. So many people think “thick kinky hair, yup I’m 4c no ones curls are nattier than mine”, no sis you just don’t know how to care for your hair yet and it’s not moisturized. I love your vids girl new subbie!

Susan Chime: The reason why 4c is a growing hashtag is because A LOT of people with 4c hair absolutely detest their hair.I mean it's something they say without coersion.People are taking advantage of that insecurity based off of many reasons I'm too tired to type.

Astral Siren: Watching this made me realize I’m a mix for 4a, b, and c but mostly 4b. It’s just hard to tell because a couple years ago half of my hair fell out but I didn’t really have bald spots because my hair was so dense. So now I have strands that are half as long as my old hair and I can’t exactly trim the new hair.

Chenedra Caldwell: I don't know how to define my hair type but I know from watching Chizi and other naturals its not 4c. My curls clump and curl without product. However, there is this one spot at my crown... that thing reached back to my African ancestors

MD135: Not gonna lie, when I first started going natural years ago I thought hair types were based on the thickness of your hair strands, not on the pattern and how tight the curls were. My sister had to school me

StarPuppy: Ok Chizi! I 4C you setting the TikTok record straight ‍♀️

Rosie: I love 4C hair. It's so beautiful and unique. I may be biased because I have 3C hair and as a kid it was relaxed and straightened a lot so I've been there done that. I probably wouldn't know what to do with my hair if it was 4C but girl I'm obsessed with how beautiful it is!

Blessing Adedeji: I love how real she is ❤❤❤

Ileni Nyirenda: I loveee that she started with a statement we all agree with.❗❗❗

Cadence The Sloth: Honestly true 4c is mesmerising I could honestly watch people style it for hours omg

Gabriella Liandu Music: This is SO funny but also SO sad, I really didn't know there were people out here trying to claim my hair type like.... since when did everyone wanna be 4C!? ... anyways, I love my 4c hair - it's the exact same as that boy's in the clip that you ended with! This is bizarre though, I so did not know faking 4c hair through a hashtag for clout was a thing

Shelly Garland: “Nobody wants 4c hair!” But yall are using the hashtag

Carolyn Shriner: Some people don't know that malnutrition (lack of hair vitamins) and stress can reduce your hair strand in different way. It's sad to see people fighting over unnecessary things, when you don't really know what's going on with other people. I love seeing everyone's different personalities.

Rochelle: I have 4C hair and grew up hating it but I’ve been learning more about the history and what it means to have 4C hair so I can learn to appreciate it. When people say they have 4C hair and don’t, it actually bothers me cus like you said a few years ago it wasn’t “cool” to have 4C hair but now people wanna claim it

Lakes Galakxsie: You know what though! What I’m really proud to see is that black girls and women are finally LOVING their 4C hair PERIODT! We have come a long ways. And trust me, through these past years I myself have been wishing my hair was much more dense. Firstly to me personally, I think DREAD LOCS look better on people with 4 B, C hair and it’s easier to loc, and it’s even more beautiful and fuller of a look when it’s grown out and puffed! Trust, 4B/4C is best when achieving that Dianah Ross early 1980’s look. And I’m MAD JEALOUS I don’t have that texture for that!

Precious: I honestly have so much respect for you for being kind and respectful to the people in the videos instead of yelling at them.

Vida-Ruth Cordeiro: You are a glowing queen! Your skin radiates light and beauty

Erin Melendez: Convinced people use 4c hashtag just for other people to be like “omg you’re not 4c” “look at those curls”

Tiara Dillard: Girl you imitating these curls within the first 3 minutes was enough for me to subscribe love you already sis ❤️

Jay Ko: Omg this was so fun to see, and I totally agree with how people are out here using the 4C title as if they have it and they don’t. I do understand those that don’t know but it never hurts to find out and learn your hair. It took me about a full year to figure out I have a mix of 4a/4b hair but mainly 4a and everyday I think it’s different but at the end of the day I appreciate my hair for all the things it can do.

Zakiyyah Flores: Honestly.. I didn’t like my 4c hair because of how the world perceived it. So I was just like why can’t I have “nice” hair. But I’ve grown to love my hair more and more and my friend told me that 4c hair grows towards the sun and I loved that she told me that

hfa Okf: I'm a lightskin girl with super thick 4c hair with two African parents and I hate when people pretend to be 4c because the struggle that you go through is real when I was younger I hated myself for my hair and how dense it is because others with less thicker hair would call it nappy and matted I grown to love my hair even though it still hurts like hell to comb it

Cali Rose: I’m actually the girl in this video/thumbnail I will be making a reaction video However, if I offended anyone my apologies I actually did clarify this on my tik tok I think that 4C is a beautiful hair texture but in no way shape or form was I purposely trying to claim it. I have a mixed hair texture that has some sections with 4C and I stand by that but too claim that I’m fully 4C that was where I went wrong

Jade: Lol I got bullied in school for having 4c hair. Everything is about trends

Neghie Thervil: Your assessment is on point with all of them. I think 4c people are the only ones who aren't confused about our hair pattern. Everyone else seems to be so liberal with it and you're right. Just a few years ago, our hair was considered bad. Now everyone wants the label. Effiing weird.

Fadzaiishe Rebecca Pulst: Thank you for discussing the mixture of ringlets and non-uniform hair. I have that and thought it wasn't normal / my hair is damaged. Now I know I have 4b and 4c hair!!

Jess Hodge: Density makes a huge difference too. My hair is a buuuuunch of different textures, but mostly 4c in the back and crown. It's looser 4a/4b everywhere else but packed in pretty tight. I can follow some fully 4a even 3c styling tutorials if they have a high Density. Just not product recs.

Moon Child ASMR: It may be confusing for some people because in my case it took me about 2 years after becoming natural to actually develop a solid curl pattern. I can now say I'm 3C/4A when before I'd just glance at my hair and say 4C.

chaeyoungsbish: I feel like everyone should try and love their hair type instead of trying to fake it and say it’s something else. I have 3c hair and used to hate it because I saw my mom (who is white and has very loose curls) and was jealous that my hair wasn’t like that. I hope everyone learns to love their hair I know it takes a while but I hope you do✨

CurlySimmyTingz: I never clicked so fast Ik exactly how this is gonna go BC I be seeing people with 2c hair claiming to be 4d..

Olivia Hall: I think the greatest thing about the curly hair community and the curl type charts, etc. is that we are all able to see what kind of curls, kinks, or coils we have and can learn how to better care for our specific hair type. At the same time, as it always seems to happen in today's society, we have people who are getting offended by these boxes that we've made out of hair types. We've never done well in society by putting people in boxes, it just doesn't work for humans. This video basically became do you or do you not have 4c hair. And this is not anything against Chizi, this happens because it is annoying if someone doesn't have 4c and they claim to because people who do have it know their hair isn't going to look that way. My thing is this, we don't need to be so specific and technical about what everyone's hair is or isn't. We choose the hair type that we think fits us best, and we should be honest about that with ourselves and others!, but on the other hand we don't need to get so possessive over our hair type and claim it so heavily as if it's our whole world. So someone says they have a certain hair type and they don't, so what... We should all be honest about why that bothers us because it may be an insecurity we need to overcome and that's no one else's problem but ourselves. Annyyyywayyys I'm ranting at this point, but I feel like this point is valid, and we don't need anymore drama about hair. Curly, kinky, and coily girls and guys have enough to overcome just because they don't have straight hair, we don't need to make more drama within our own communities. Please and Thank you.

You’re Beautiful: Like...I legit LOVE what you're doing with this topic. I was getting super annoyed at the fact that NO one was speaking up about this matter. Now that those with 4C are getting attention chicks that don't have it (claiming that they do) want to steal that limelight too?! It's sad and sickening. At the end of the day it's Jealously...Blow outs are NO longer the only thing that's hot- deal with it.

Debonay Joseph: Omg when she mentioned that some parts curl but some just *perfectly describes it with arm movement* I really felt that. I’m always confused when people say 4c hair is little tiny coils cause my hair is just... it consistently gives me nothing. The only reason why I know it’s 4c is because I also have 4a (to me they look like big boxes when defined) and 4b (I’d describe that is zig zagging really tiny small coils kinda that clump together in the right conditions but not really) my 4c is just weird to me. I feel like the best way to describe it is wavy? But tiny? And it doesn’t stick together at all? Idk man. 4c hair is crazy. My sister has 3c curls so I know I definitely don’t have those really round curls

xel simone: i was so excited to have 4c hair cuz i saw a joulzy video as a kid and i just HOPED i had it. i thought it rlly has the most range!! like 4c can do ANY style but u cant manufacture 4c!! i was really hoping the natural hair community would stop shaming us and saying 4c hair and high porosity hair is all damaged and difficult bc in my eyes it was always beautiful endless potential! but seeing it become a trend for the gurlies on tik tok was not the 4C celebration i was expecting or asked for IF YOUR COIL IS MORE THAN 3 mm IN DIAMETER IT AINT 4C. I SAID IT (jk idc about the rules but it do make it difficult for beginners)

TheFriedRiceChicken: Gurl, I have naturally straight hair and watching natural Afro hair care videos is like so satisfying LOL.

Just Yingi: I don’t know why all of a sudden everyone wants to be 4C. Cause we trending now. Do they know the struggle we go through? ‍♀️

Roger Dewayne: You done got me ALL the way together. I feel like I’m 4b when it’s wet but definitely 4c when dry. Idk, idk ‍♂️

KoKo: I just found your channel from another YouTuber and I love your approach. What’s crazy is I have had a I guess reverse experience. When I first started my natural journey I was like I think my texture is like 3C/4A. A beautician who was doing braids for me said no you have 4B/4C hair. So I had that stuck in my mind. Meanwhile my sister was actually 4C and our textures are nothing alike. After watching your video I’m like my hair was dry af back then because I have curls when my hair is wet and moisturized and when I’ve washed my sister’s hair, she has more of a tight zig zag patter. So you taught me something too. Thanks for your work.

Rachel Fleites: Girl, you straight up serve us loooookkkssss every single videoo Love your makeupp!

sleepygirl: I watched a lot of these videos "your hair is not 4c it's just dry" and I think a lot of these ladies should watch these too. 4c hair DOES have a curl pattern when it has enough moisture. It's like 4a but with tinier coils.

Maria Malaika: My hair is 3c/4a and when I was ignorant about my hair I thought it was 4c because of videos I found. It took a lot of educating to finally know what to do with my hair. Those people should be ashamed of themselves

Flo: Related to this, I hate how 4a hair out of nowhere is associated with type 3 hair? 4a hair looks NOTHING like 3c, when I went natural for the first time and found out I had 4a hair and looked at youtubers with 4a hair, it was CLEARLY kinky-curly hair. Now I only see curly haired 3C girls labelling their hair as 4a. It makes it very hard to find someone with legit 4a/4b hair.

Vivian Hudson: Before I got my protective style taken out and went natural in September I watched a bunch of natural hair videos of girls with about the same length of hair I was going to have after the permed parts were cut. They were mostly if not all women with hair in the type 3 area, so I kinda assumed that's what I had. I really didn't have much to go off of because I hadn't seen my natural hair since I was little. I remember getting my hair shaped up, and then going home to try doing a wash and go. I was disappointed because my hair was not curling up at all and I had no idea how to style it. Several months later I'm happy with my 4c hair and I've been able to style it in different ways. (:

Curnelle Hercules: Yes Chizi... We would love to see who tried it on Youtube for sure... this was nice to watch. Thank you for your videos. They always soothe me. Your videos are part of my happy place. Stay safe and healthy.

Brandi: The French one was 4c before the bleaching/dying loosened her coils

LowCarbNiki: You can always tell whether a person truly has 4c hair and that is how it behaves when it is completely saturated with water. Some people confuse texture with curl pattern too. The hair typing system is about curl pattern not texture, so I think that's why some type 3 and type 4 naturals get confused.

corgiworg: I have to say going natural in 2013 was hard. I watched natural YouTube videos back in 2011-2013, and literally no one on YouTube had hair that looked like mines. I have SUPER DUPER dense 4c hair with spring like coils, like inside a pen springs. I have locs now but it still is annoying to see people with non-4c hair tag 4c, because for the longest time it was hard to find ppl online with actual 4c hair years ago

Anna .Jisalo: Who else is Nigerian here

Nkem Uche: I definitely want a part 2 on this topic. This right here is a hot topic

Joyann B: When I was newly natural I learnt about typing. And I discovered that I am type 4 (4C) and I started watching YouTube videos of other "4c" YouTubers and I could remember being so hurt that my hair didn't look like theirs when it was wet or had product and I'm now learning that some people just say they're 4C because apparently 4C hair is trending.

Linda Aspbury: Me not knowing anything about black hair types but still clicks: :( Me now knowing what 4B and 4C looks like: :)
