For a ton of people… Growing out long healthy hair is the holy grail of haircare.

But it can be complicated...

So it's easy to get frustrated and turn to pills/home remedies..

But hair growth is pretty easy once you realize what is holding your hair back.

So I made this quick video explaining…

-Why do most approach hair growth from the wrong angle

-The real reason your hair isn't growing out

-The two tried and true products for healthy new growth

Hair growth is really hard because there's so much conflicting information out there, it's hard to know what really works and what doesn't hair growth on the internet is a lot like weight loss. You constantly have people coming up to you, trying to tell you about the newest diet or exercise thing, for whatever reason they just cannot wait to tell you about this new paleo diet that they're trying in the next week, they're going to tell you about the keto Diet, the week after that's going to be the same person tell you about the carnivore diet, they're spinning around chasing whatever is the most popular at the moment. One day it's going to be peppermint the next day it's going to be rosemary oil and then it's going to be rice, water or all of them. There'S no way to tell and the thing is i really hate to see people waste their time and money on those ingredients, because hair growth actually isn't that hard. If you understand it so today, i'm going to show you how to get the exact same results that all those magic ingredients promised to get you except we're going to do it with real hair products that have stood the test of time and they're actually going to Make all your new growth look much healthier than it would have? If you don't know me, my name is chris. I own a hair salon called live, love locks where we test out hair products and bring the best ones to you. I make these videos because way too many people have unhealthy hair and i don't want you to be one of them. Let'S start out by rolling a couple things out: there's a ton of hair growth mirages out there, and i want to shortcut you straight to the solution. You'Ve probably heard of hair growth trends like rice, water, rosemary and peppermint, but have you ever wondered why none of the major hair care brands actually use those ingredients in their products and trust me? The haircut industrial complex wants to make money off of you. Their entire important life is to take as much money from you and put it into their pockets. That'S what they want to do. So you have to wonder: why are they choosing not to make a quick buck off you by using these ingredients, and why is it that the hair products actually do have these ingredients always look like some weird off-label brand? The answer is because it comes from drop shippers if you're not familiar with drop shipping. It'S basically people who wait for trends to emerge when they see that a whole bunch of people are going to google and searching in rosemary oil for hair growth. The first thing they do is go to some cheap chinese website like alibaba and order a whole bunch of really cheap rosemary oil. So they can sell it to you for profit. These are not hair people they make their living by buying cheap products from china and then selling them on something like amazon to you. So the moral of the story is to stop chasing fads. If all the biggest brands in the world refuse to put that ingredient in their products, it's probably a red flag. So, let's get into what actually does work and it's all about knowledge. You need to understand how hair growth actually works and quick caveat to all of this. This is not for balding men. This is for women who want to grow longer hair. The first idea that i want to give you is that most people are approaching hair growth from completely the wrong angle. They look in the mirror and they say my hair isn't growing. How can i make it grow? It'S really easy to get tricked into thinking that that's your problem, but it's not and if you buy into the whole mentality of my hair, isn't growing you're going to be stuck forever because you won't be able to fix the real problem. I know exactly how weird that sounds, but i need to break you of that belief before you can grow out long, healthy hair. So, let's think about this for a second, if you ever met somebody with hair down to their butt, it's not because it's growing so fast! It'S not like the last time you saw them, their hair was at their shoulders and then, a month later it was down to their butt. That'S not how it works, and really we all know that intuitively the reason people with long hair have long hair is not because they grew it out overnight. It'S because they're doing something else, we'll come back to that in just a second. But first let me show you why the speed your hair grows does not determine how long it gets. You probably know somebody, maybe it's even yourself - who's struggling to grow their hair out, but they have color and every couple months they have to go in to get their color touched up because their roots have grown out. The funny thing is their hair stayed the exact same length the entire time, so they think that it's not growing but at the same time they're going in to get their color done because their roots have grown out. So the real mystery of hair growth is this: if their roots grow out this much, why didn't their hair get this much longer, and this is where you start to see all those herbal remedies for hair growth? Don'T really matter even if they worked it's not about the hair growing faster. It'S that how do you actually get length on the end? So i promise you this. Unless you have a serious medical condition, your hair is growing. Just fine, that's not the problem. The problem is, how do you translate growth, two inches of growth here into two inches of growth on your ends? That'S the key here and that's what i'm going to show you in this video. So now we know that the reason your hair isn't growing out is not because it's not growing at all, it is growing, but now i have to figure out what is preventing it. What is the actual problem? That'S stopping you from growing your hair out and the reason for it is actually really simple the biggest obstacle. That'S stopping you from growing out your hair is actually your ends breaking off on you. Your ends are the oldest most damaged most brittle part of your hair, because of that they're extremely susceptible to breaking off and every time they do break off. You lose length which makes your hair shorter, but it's not like regular breakage in your mids, where you can see the hair that fell out or you can see the place where the hair broke off and the hair is missing it's much more sneaky than that. It'S more like your ends, just kind of turn to dust, and you can't see where the hair used to be. You can't see the hair that fell out. You never really realize it because it just turns to dust and because there's no real evidence you can see or point to a lot of people just believe that their hair isn't growing. It'S not true, and honestly, i don't blame them, because what are the odds that all of your ends are going to break off at the exact same length for the past two years like? Are they coordinating together? Are they talking to each other and deciding exactly where they're going to break off? What'S really happening? Is that left to its own devices, your hair will grow to a certain length and that's the natural length that it wants to stay. But here's the thing - and this is the awesome part of this video - you actually get to pick what that length is, and you have control over it. You can change it and make it longer, and that's exactly what i'm going to show you now how to get that natural length to be as long as possible and if it gets too long, you can always whatever get a trim. It doesn't really matter, but here's how it works. The basic idea goes like this: if you can prevent your ends from breaking off and turning to dust, every inch of growth up here turns into an inch of length down here. That'S what we're going for and since we know that your hair is already growing, we can stack up that length pretty quickly. One way to do that is to use hair oil hair oil is amazing for ends because it hydrates them and seals all the moisture in because oil and water do not mix so the water can't escape. But if your ends are damaged and most people are hair, oil is not going to be enough. We need to get you the healthiest ends of all time and to do that, we have to understand where healthy ends come from. Your ends were not always ends, they actually started out as roots and as the roots grow out, that hair turned into mids and, as the mids grow out, eventually a long time later, that hair eventually became your ends, so ends didn't just get there. They had an entire journey to get there, so knowing that we can't look at ends as if that's the entire picture, we know that the condition of your ends is actually dependent upon how you treated them when they were roots and how you treated them when they Were your mids, so, as you can see, we need something to protect all three parts of your hair. If we can protect your roots and protect your mids, we can guarantee that we'll end up without the ends and remember how i said your hair will grow to a certain natural length and that you can change it. This is exactly how you change it. The length of that is dependent upon the strength of your hair routine. In other words, your hair will grow to whatever length your hair routine can support. If you have a great routine, every inch of growth will turn into an inch of length. Something is off with your hair, routine, that, inter growth is not going to get to your ends, you're not going to get any length. So the question now is: what should your hair growth routine look like and excuse me if i get a little excited and nerdy here, because hair routines are my thing, i absolutely love them over the years. I'Ve created something i call the trinity hair routine and it is my pride and joy. It'S called trinity because it protects the three parts of your hair, the roots, the mids and the ends, and it's awesome because you only have to add two products. It'S super easy. This routine is the key for long hair. Long hair doesn't come in a bottle or some fab product of the month. This is how you guarantee long hair and top of that. The trinity routine is actually fun because you don't have to wait a long time to see results. You see them right away, so it's fun and you stick with it and it does a ton of other things. In addition to just hair growth, it makes your hair shiny, healthy and feel much better. It'S not just about the hair growth, so, let's get into the actual routine and like most of the stuff that i talk about, it's super simple and super easy. You don't have to be a stylist, you don't have to be great at hair. Anybody can do this without messing it up. So, like i said earlier, the trinity routine is going to protect all three parts of your hair, your roots, your mids and your ends. You should probably already have a shampoo and conditioner to protect your roots, but if you don't i'll, link a video right here to help, you pick the perfect shampoo for your hair. The next thing we need to protect is your mids, and most of your hair is actually part of your mids. This is where your hair gets long enough and starts to be susceptible to damage. This is usually where things start to go downhill. Luckily, for us we have a super powerful product that will change your hair's life and it is called leave-in conditioner. I talk about leave-in conditioner as much as possible, and people still ask me: are you sure i have to use regular conditioner and leave-in conditioner, and the answer is yes, they work together. You must use both regular conditioner puts a ton of moisture in your hair and that's awesome. But the problem is as soon as you get out of the shower. The water and the hydration from your hair is going to start leaking out and it's going to start drying out, and that is why you must have the leave-in conditioner. It forms a barrier around your hair to protect it and lock in all that moisture from the conditioner. I can't say this enough, but if you aren't using leave-in conditioner you're hanging your hair out to dry, you are not a friend. This is a staple of every hair routine. You must be using it. There are two things you always need in your life. One is your cell phone and number two is leaving conditioner. If you only get to pick one, the correct answer is leave-in conditioner. So moving on, we have our healthy roots, we have our healthy mids and now we need something to make sure that we have healthy ends. So, like i said earlier, hair oil is amazing. For this, your ends have the most wear and tear because they're the oldest part of your hair. They also have no way to naturally retain moisture. Your hair is like a rod of bamboo. Has this hard protective layer on the outside and this delicate inside, where all the water is? When you cut the bamboo, the water will start to leak out the end, and your hair is the exact same way. When you cut it, you lose moisture to the opening at the end of your hair. So, every time you get a trim you're exposing the delicate moisture on the inside of your hair. That'S why you want to use a hair oil. The hair oil is going to seal it because oil and water don't mix the water can't come out the end. So your hair is protected and hydrated, that's literally the entire routine, but don't let the simplicity, fool. You, hair is all about knowledge and when i just give you the answers, it looks really simple and easy, but trust me getting there in the first place. Hair is not simple and easy, and that's exactly why i make these videos, so you don't have to spend the years and years that i did testing everything out. So i can give you the simplest, most efficient routines possible in an easy way. Like i always say, hair is not about working hard. It'S about working smart and this routine will give you better results than all of those other products, and the new growth will look much healthier. Much shinier and it'll be much stronger and guess what this routine actually takes way less time than it does to make a batch of rice water. Before we finish, i still have a couple more tips that are going to help you on your hair growth journey and the first tip is do not get frequent trims. Your stylus will probably tell you that you just need to get a trim and then your hair will start growing super fast, but i promise you it's not true. If getting trims, all the time was the key to growing out long hair. We all would have had really long hair a long time ago, so when your stylist tries to convince you to get that trim and they most likely will stand firm, don't get it because if you do you'll never grow your hair out the only time i would Ever get a trim when i'm trying to grow my hair will be when my ends start to get tangly. If you don't know what i mean, don't worry about it, but if they start to get tangly, get a tram there's nothing wrong with going a really long time between trams, when you're growing your hair out. Another thing you want to think about is your metabolism. The faster your metabolism is the faster your nails grow, the faster your hair grows. Everything is all connected, so doing healthy things like getting exercise getting plenty of sleep and getting nutritious food in your body all contribute to growing your hair out. And one quick note when i say: eat healthy food, i don't mean restrict your calories. I just mean to make sure to put some whole healthy foods in your diet. So your body has the basic building blocks and needs to create hair. Remember, hair growth is about keeping your length, that's what's holding you back. If you can keep 100 of the hair that you grow out and translate that into length, your hair will grow faster than you ever thought it could. If you have any questions, leave a comment below i get to as many of them as i possibly can. We usually have a good discussion down there. Thank you. So much for watching guys have a good one. You

Blowout Professor: My Recommended Product List :) https://blowoutprofessor.tiny.us/yckfcfnx

Taj Sandhu: I really like this (randomly recommended) video. He's not advertising or trying to sell us anything, just sharing tips and stating facts. Crazy how rare that is to see on YouTube. Thanks for the advice! Keep it up :)

Princess 4K: How I grew my hair one inch a month was 1. No trims for one year 2. Shampoo only scalp 3. Conditioner only ends 4. Oil the ends. I used blow dryer every other day but used heat protection My hair is down to my butt and very thick

Bikutoriya: Trinity Routine Roots: shampoo & conditioner Mids: leave in conditioner Ends: hair oil Do not get frequent trims The faster metabolism the better

Hets Girl: Thank you for validating not getting regular trims! I go and get a trim roughly twice a year, and every hairdresser I've told "it's been 6 months since my last trim" is always shocked and throw shade at me for it! I was getting regular trims for about a year, every 2 months, and my hair was getting shorter each time, so I stopped it

KT Car: Since the start of pandemic during lockdown period was the perfect time to grow out your hair. After 2 whole years of not going to get a haircut/trim, my hair was down to my hips and now past my tailbone. Plus leave in treatments and oils were and still are my regimen as well to maintaining long hair. Yes, Chris is absolutely right about that 100%

Kay Holdstock: Love that you mentioned diet and exercise. I know someone who literally didn’t eat enough and her hair just fell out as her calories were so low. It’s like her body shut down biological processes because there was not enough energy to support them. Not worth it! Health always first. ❤

Cynthia Geiger: As a stylist of 20 years this is EXACTLY what I recommend to my long haired clients. And what I follow myself. I didn't call it the trinity hair routine but it's literally word for word what I say and I also don't recommend frequent trims. Just keeping an eye on the ends and when they feel dry and crunchy coming in for a dusting.

LC: Now if we can have someone just like this guy for skin care and weight loss routines

H Treadway: I've only been following you for a few months, but the change in my hair in that time is amazing. Following your routine of: shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner, blow out cream and hair oil has completely changed my hair. My hair is the longest it has ever been in my life. It's already long, but by spring it should be down to my waist. I have never retained my ends this long. Thanks to you, I don't fight with my hair anymore. I constantly get comments about how healthy, shiny and full my hair looks. *And I lost A LOT of hair after I had covid last year. Thank you so much for teaching me how to help my hair. I recommend your channel to everyone:)

Nikta Moradi: I have curly hair and have been using BUNCH of products over time to finally realize what is best, and the final best routine that I stuck to is exactly: conditioner, leave-in conditioner, oil! Guaranteed to work amazing!

Claire Melhorn: Thank you Chris for your advice of not needing a trim. I always felt this was not necessary. I follow your advice with leave on conditioner and hair oil masks and getting a dramatic difference in my hair. Also remind people about hard water. Getting a water filter on my shower head was a game changer for me.

Geo Rock Nerd: This is pretty much what I’ve done all my life and my hair is hip length most of the time. Only get 6-8” cut off once a year if I feel like going “shorter” for a while. In addition to these things, I also mostly avoid using heat and chemical treatments of any kind. Great tips, and in my experience they do really work! Gotta be patient though.

Just for commenting: Saw a snippet of you on tiktok. I had a hairdresser tell me that genetically my hair would never get past my shoulders. She had me keep coming back every six weeks for trims. I followed your advice and it’s almost to the bottom of my shoulder blades!! Super impressed

Lilyflower: I started paying attention to my hair after I retired because I didn’t have to try and make it look good everyday anymore. I learned about everything he said from the natural products to leave in conditioners. And I figured out that trimming my hair even every six months was not long enough between trimmings if I wanted to reach my goal length. But I never saw anyone take all that information and put it together like that. He explained which things were the priority and which were not and for me that really helps

LemonP: My hair grew from a shoulder length Bob down to my butt really quick - no trims, but also daily vit d, k2, zinc, vit c. Menopause had hit too. I quit dying the roots so much and used root spray, also stopped daily washing/drying/straightening and tied back instead letting it dry naturally and it’s the longest it’s ever been in 50 years! The ends are starting to get dry so will invest in some oil!

Niki Hunter: So happy to have found you! I am newly retired and decided to let my hair grow. My hair was always my super power but at this age it’s a bit dry and doesn’t curl like it used to. I want to bring back the curls and glossiness. I am learning so much from your channel and believe me I’ve been looking at all those crazy trends too. So thank you for steering us straight and cutting out the BS. ❤

Ang: Thank you for keeping it real! Really love your Chanel. I grew my bleached hair all the way to my waist once. I didn’t trim it more than once a year until I got the length I wanted (despite what every stylist suggested over and over) deep conditioning, leave in conditioners and always keeping my ends moisturized! So thank you for finally confirming I wasn’t crazy or just got lucky haha

Your Majesty the Internet User: The best hair video I have ever watched. I cut my 26 inches curly hair about 14 months ago, and I’m now super eager to grow my hair long.

M D: I appreciate the advice on not trimming the ends too often. I had long hair and hairdresser cut it all off because it was "damaged" and they made me believe that I needed the trims and that my hair is naturally damaged, cause I wasn't ever using heat or color or anything else to damage it. Crazy

Kirsty Macfarlane: I've got all the tips suggested and I've got a great hairdresser who only trims my hair if we agree it needs it. One thing I'll say that's been a huge game changer for me is using my regular conditioner after a masque. Been doing that for a couple of months and the difference to the condition of my hair is very noticeable. I only wash my hair twice a week as well, 3 times if I go out more!

EVB: Thank you for being clear, concise & truthful about hair growth. It's refreshing! I've been studying the long hair of Victorians and they understood this. They also wore their hair in 'protective' hair styles to avoid damage, dirt and breakage.

DreamBrush: I also wanna add that sleeping with a satin cap is a huuuuuuuge life saver. I used to wake up with super frizzy and dry hair and probably it would contribute to breakage since that when hair is most likely to get damaged so now I can continue to grow my hair in peace.

Samantha Pateman: I brought the prouducts on the list not that long ago and I’m already seeing that I have less split ends and breakages, way less. I had a really bad issue with it for years, my hair never went pass my chest. I’m looking forward to seeing (fingers crossed) growing passed that point. I’ll pop back in again at some point with how I’ve gotten along. Thanks for sharing all this information with us Live Love Locks x

ATFP: Recently discovered your videos and adore your straightforward advice. I also appreciated your direct message about not restricting your food intake and instead adding nutritious whole foods. You didn't have to say it in your hair video, but you were conscientious enough to do so.

Shantel G: I found this channel a little bit ago, and I decided to go on a... 'hair journey' if you will. I love the way you structure your videos, JUST TELL ME WHAT TO DO AND HOW TO DO IT! No bologna, just facts and instructions STRAIGHT INTO MY EYES! I'm in my 30s, and this might sound ignorant, but I honestly didn't realize hair lost moisture like skin does. Last year, I noticed my hair was thinner than usual, and becoming a bit fine. I started taking iron (on doctor's orders, I was iron deficient) as well as biotin, vitamins, protein, and collagen. But I wasn't considering how I need to treat my hair better on the outside, not just from the inside. There's thousands upon thousands of hair care videos on youtube, but I come to this channel for answers, and instructions. Thank you so much for all of your videos!

Angela Covington: Hello Chris! I wanted to let you know you saved my hair! Last year I stopped highlighting my hair due to damage and losing the length of my hair. I had been going to the same stylist for over 6 years. I told her I didn't want to do all over highlights anymore and wanted to go back to my natural color. She colored it as close to my natural color so I could start repairing my hair. Needless to say, last May I changed stylist because my last one said it was my fault my hair was damaged and breaking off. I have taken your advise and bought the shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner, hair oil and the blow out gel. My hair has not been this heathy and growing longer in years! I can't thank you enough!

Life coaching with Lemeze: Gosh, thank goodness for you. I have dry curly hair which I've been dying blonde for years. I saw the roots growing out quickly but my hair remained the same length. Finally a few days ago I chopped off a lot of hair and am ready to start over. I found you just in time. Thank you.♥️

Lucy Marie M: I can't even express how thankful I am for your videos! You are incredibly knowledgable and I feel honored to learn from it (plus shocked at how much I had wrong!). Thank you for making the videos. I will be supporting your online store in the future in thanks for them!

Lilzapper: During the pandemic, I grew my hair to my hips but began noticing thinning, especially on top. My brother has MPB so I figured it was partially genetics and partially the medicines I take daily or the conditions for which I take them. So I watched a YT video on doing a self-cut to refresh myself (I have trimmed my hair before) and took it to just below shoulder length. Then I did the "wolf cut" and thought it wasn't enough, so did the "butterfly cut" (both by Brad Mondo's YTs) and think this is the one for me for at least a while. This week I go to my hair stylist (my husband needs a cut) so we'll see what she says!

Talkative Academy: Excellent video, you explained it perfectly! Suddenly I feel like it's possible to grow my hair after YEARS of countless trials and errors. It sounds almost embarrassing I've never thought of it this way and you wouldn't believe what I was willing to put on my hair Sending hugs, thank you!

Maria Perkins: Hi! Great advice! I stopped trimming my hair every month awhile back but it would still take a long time to grow out. Since I’ve been following your advice, my hair is past my waistline. Thank you lots!

Maria Rodriguez: Hi Chris , I wanted a suggestion with hair loss. I had hip surgery last year, February, and then covid this past May . I noticed my hair started to fall out and thinning since . I can literally see my scalp more on my right side but pretty much all over. What do you recommend using to help stimulate hair growth. I take liquid collagen and biotin supplements, but I'm not really seeing any changes . I am really starting to stress over it .. I can't lose my hair. Please help Thank you, and I love your videos .

Ocean Oasis: I am a brand new subscriber to your channel and I'm hooked! Love your teaching style and getting right to the point. I am super excited about the things I'm already learning as I my hair needs some tlc esp after neglecting it during the past 2 yrs of covid. I cut my hair myself for the 1st time last week (the ends were so fried and wispy aka the turning to dust effect you mentioned) so the timing is perfect to start fresh! Keep up the amazing work Chris!

NativeNYerChicHK: FINALLY! You’re the only professional I’ve ever heard admit that getting trims often does not lend to growing length. THANK YOU!!! It’s been my secret for years for how my hair stays long, that growth comes from treating your hair right and NOT trimming all the new length you just grew! Our hair grows about a 1 centimeter a month, if you’re removing an inch or two every couple of months, you’re literally taking off all the hair that you grew in that time since your last cut! It defeats the whole purpose. But more importantly, it’s how you treat your hair that makes all the difference in retaining your length. Olaplex has been a lifesaver as I’ve aged, aging hair thins and thus is more prone to damage. And I can’t say enough about how beneficial staying hydrated is, inside your body and outside on your hair. Using the right products and leaving your hair alone as much as possible will help protect the integrity of your hair.

Azucena Perez: Chris, I've been following your videos for 3 weeks now and WOW my hair is the best it's ever been! It's also growing seemingly faster (or maybe just healthier and it looks longer?). I'm so excited. I've been following "the trinity" as you call it, have done Olaplex 3 once a week, and have also followed your advice to not wash my hair often (I'm doing 2x a week) and wait 3 days before I apply heat again. Life changing! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Keep up with the great advice on Youtube!!

Koko’s Cyb3rclouds: i’m 16 and when i was younger my hair was to the middle of my back, but incredibly fine and thin. I decided to chop it all add into a pixie when i was around 6-7 bc i was loosing so much hair. Ever since then my hair would pretty much never grow past my shoulders and if it did it was EXTREMELY slow, like an inch a year. I shaved my head about 7 months ago because i had damaged it so much with hair dye that I had to wash it every day, if i didn’t wash it in the morning it would look oily and gross and stick up in all directions no matter what i did. my hairs been growing back, about to the mid of my neck, a little thinker and healthier but still very slow. I started doing this about 3 days ago and OMG the results. my hair is much softer, easier to work with, doesn’t need to be washed as often and is growing much much faster, within those 3 days I went from having a thin layer of hair at the bottom just barely touching the end of my neck, to several layers of my hair fully reaching the bottom of my neck. I cannot thank you enough for this information. Excited to finally have my waist long hair again❤️❤️❤️❤️

Veronika Be: I can't thank you enough! After wondering why my hair wasn't growing longer I changed my hair routine to your recommendations. My frizzy hair is beautiful and wavy now plus I don't have to wash as often as before. I finally begin to love my hair again. Got a trim due to very thin ends but now I hope I can grow it out more healthy

Tiny but mighty Cookie: Wow! I have just discovered your channel and it is so refreshing to hear a hairdresser explaining things so well, putting himself in the place of the customer! How many times have I been told ( by hairdressers! ) that I must NEVER use conditioner AND leave in conditioner. So many “ If you want to grow your hair you must come in for a trim once a month “ and the mind boggling “ your hair type ( thin ) is not made to grow past your shoulders “ And this has been from professionals of different salons and different countries. Honestly I had given up, but you just gave me a huge boost, so thank you ever so much ☺️ subscribed and I plan to binge through your videos Thank you ☕️xxx

Kim Garrett: LOVE.... LOVE.... LOVE your videos! I have been struggling for YEARS to get my hair to grow(just stuck at one length) and this video TOTALLY makes sense. I have purchased all the items for the "Trinity" hair plan. Here's my problem.... I have naturally curly hair... not to curly but not super loose either... just right in between. I started using the Redken Frizz Dismiss Rebel and it was still a bit frizzy on my ends. I then ordered the Olaplex Smooth Bonder and tried that on top of the Frizz Dismiss and my ends are still crazy and frizzy! What else so I need to do? I just had a haircut about 3 weeks ago. I have been using the Pureology Color Fanatic Leave-in Conditioner and the Kenra thermal spray. HELP!!!! Thanks... you rock!!

Janey Monster: I've been doing this routine by my own discovery of it for almost a year. I'd fried my hair with bleach and dye for a couple of months. To top it off I was iron deficient so my hair thinned out too. I'm finally starting to see some length and volume.

Derin Egeli: YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER literally the only one out there trying to help us and not spamming us with lots of affiliate links

Angie childers: Omg, I absolutely Love your channel. So glad I finally found someone that actually knows what their talking about. So happy to finally hear someone say you don't have to keep getting trims for your hair to grow. You are awesome and I'm going to be binge watching all your videos. My hair is thin, dry, brittle and natural curly. Fight with fizz and Broke off for years. Been same length for years. After watching your videos I'm pretty confident I can have long healthy hair. Thank you so much for all your info ❤️

Amelia Poklar: I want to share my tips. If I could post a B/A I would. My hairdresser is stunned how much my hair has grown in 2 years! Things that helped me: -ditched the flatiron and minimal curling iron -less washing -Nizoral for flaky scalp. -intermittent fasting. -hair oils, sometimes before I wash -clarifying shampoo once or twice monthly -hair vitamins as well as cod liver and Vit D -better installation of hair extensions -not combing my hair in the shower -finding a hairdresser who doesn’t keep highlighting the same section -hairdresser also uses olaplex as a treatment during processing -Dyson Air Wrap I’m 43 and my hair is better than when I was a teenager. Everyone has their own tips, but this is my list. I want to underscore the importance of nutrition. We really are what we eat.

Matilda CB: Someone give this guy a noble prize! So glad i found this channel, finally someone who doesn’t give conflicting and confusing information ❤

Claudia Martin: I wish every professional were giving information like this, it's so refreshing to see someone providing real advice without wanting to sell products that cost a bunch and don't really work. Thank you!

Terry Jackson: I'm 63 and my hair has barely grown since I was a teenager. It's fine and naturally curly and is the pretty much the same length it's always been. I used to go to the hairdresser regularly to have a trim every 12-16 weeks but it just got shorter and shorter.

SarahlabyrinthLHC: Someone once asked me how to grow long hair. I said "If you wanted the lawn to grow long what would you do?" They replied "Stop cutting it." I said "It's the same with hair." Plus gentle handling, protective styling, no heat tools and patience.

Natalia Natalie: Love your tips ) hair is looking better and better ! It’s just so much fun to do a hair routine because of your videos ! Much love ❤

Miss G: Wow a hairdresser who admits that you don't need frequent trims! I love it, new subscriber from me! Six weekly trims are for aesthetics only and a lot of people have bought into the lie.

Generation X: I just randomly stumbled upon you and I'm so glad I did. (instantly subscribed!) The way in which you explain things is so clear, concise and easy to understand. And of course, it *makes sense* Thank you, can't wait to watch more of your videos!

Lob Lob: I have been growing my hair long (currently at my waist) and have very fine hair which breaks really easily, and he missed these important things: 1. using a boar bristle brush, and being very gentle when you brush it. 2. Untangle knots gently with your fingers. 3. Tie your hair up in plaits or protective hairstyles most of the time but most importantly outside in the wind and at night. 4. Use bondbuilders like olaplex (I use 3, 8 and the oil). 5. Use scrunchies not hair ties and silk pillowcase if you can. 6. Finally he did mention this but, even if you have split ends, when you trim it it doesn't deal with split ends further up the hair and they just come back very quickly anyway if you have fine hair, so just don't cut it and oil your ends. Sometimes I go through and specifically cut out split ends too to help a little bit. 7. Finally, do not bleach or use heat!!! Temporary colour should be fine though. Also, just to note one of my close friends has hair down to her knees, and I think this is partly genetics and having thick hair, but I have noticed she always has hair hair up in a bun most of the time and she just NEVER cuts it (not in 10 years) and that's it! You just have to put in extra steps if you are not blessed with thick hair.

Jane Doe: My hair reacts strongly to frequent trims. It's just way better if I get it done every 2 months even if I'm sacrificing length. It's amazing what a tiny bit off the ends does. but this makes sense to not trim it for the best growth

Geri Reski: Had Covid this summer (it was a breeze) and am at what looks likes the tail end of covid-hair-loss. The mid to ends are incredibly thin but am noticing growth and filling in closer to my head. Trimming helps only to keep the look of lost hair down to a dull roar as the hair from scalp starts to fill in and grow longer. Am using Pureology leave in and maybe helping! Haven’t been using hair oil which I have..will start. In the meanwhile thankful for hair toppers!

Yaël Zoutendijk: Thank you for constantly pushing me to use leave-in conditioner. Not many youtubers talk about it, but since I started using it, my hair looks a lot better, especially on day 2 hair. It was usually dry, but now it's still shiny

Your Access To The Red Carpet!: My hairstylist explained all this to me some of what you mentioned. So happy that She’s legit! I’m due for my yearly haircut since I get a cut once a year and my hair is so long and grows fast too. Thank you Chris!

Noura Ali: I feel like it’s illegal for me to watch this vid because of all of the free professional helpful informations , truly my hair has changed dramatically the moment I started to understand what my hair needs and how to tackle every issue from the roots , thank you very much

Mitchell: 1) hair is breaking from the middle and turning to dust from bottom 2) leave in conditioner to preserve moisture 3) hair oils for ends 4) eat right, exercise to better metabolism

Carol M: How refreshing to get advice from someone who isn't just interested in hawking their product! It turns out I've been doing as you recommend but it was great getting confirmation. My hair is down to my butt now. Thanks for being real.

Beloved Bun: I'm currently binging your videos, so don't mind if you see multiple questions throughout them all! Question about conditioner: How much conditioner is enough? How do I properly apply conditioner without it being too much or in the wrong places? Also Leave in conditioner, how do I properly use it? Thank you so much for all the info in advance! Really appreciate what you are doing for all of us!

Jenifer R. López Mota: I have never trusted another hair stylist since someone chopped off my black beautiful locks after saying that I had split ends: just discovered your channel and now I have hope in growing my hair back. Thanks for your honesty!!!

michelle Hansen: Finally a man that knows his stuff!!! You are so informative I love it!! You are saying exactly what the average person has been thinking all along!!! You are awesome chris and keep up your amazing work!!! I only wish i had found your channel sooner but good timing anyway because im getting my hair done tomorrow and now i know what to do, thanks.

Pelin G: Thank you for this, I have JUST discovered how to make my hair longer, you confirmd that my method works Also appreciate your honesty on good hair information because all ladies are losing tons of money on different and over priced “hair products” and treatments that will magically make our hair longer but they dont. So your honest education to us is gold and thank you sincerely ❤

isobelcharlottemusic: I genuinely don't think I've ever seen a more helpful video on growing hair out than this, thank-you so much

Daisy’s Corner: Great advice! I’m growing my hair out from pixie length. this was super helpful!

NevtheRaven: Thank you so much for this video. I think this is the first time I've heard real, no-BS talk about hair care for those of us who don't even know how to hold a blowdryer.

Fengshui7: Love your simplistic, straight forward, knowledgeable information. To see that all of those years I have been doing everything wrong. I am now using the Trinity method and very happy! Thank you for taking the time to explain everything.

Mina_Letrice: You dropped the mic on this informative message. Stylist have cut my healthy ends off so many times when it absolutely did not need it. There’s no telling how long my hair could be right now had I not allowed them to cut it. Thank you so much for your hair growth expertise it makes a lot of sense. Much appreciated & needed to hear ❤️

Carla Heimerl: I have fine, thin, miserable hair. One thing that helps me is to not comb or brush my hair when it 's wet. It helps a lot, and it is very easy to brush through once it's dry. That being said, this guy makes a ton of sense, I am going to check out the products he recommends. Yippy!! Hope this works!!

Paula Martinez: First video that I really like about haircare routines: simple, to the point, not trying to sell any specific product, telling the truth about some hair care myths we have always heard. Brilliant

SmartAleck: I know I’m a bit late to the video, but thank you so much for these amazing tips! I have been trying to grow my hair out for about a year and my stylist always recommends me to get a trim every 6 weeks and my hair never seems to get any longer. But I will give your routine a try! Do you have any recommendations for hair oil? Also thank you for explaining everything with simplicity <3

Ally Cat: Unsure how I feel about the trim part because I feel like my hair has grown a lot better and healthier with getting little trims every three months by three months my ends have a bit of damage as hair does so getting those small trims really freshens up my hair and keeps my hair looking good (going to try this method of not getting trims for 6 months and see how I like it hopefully it goes good!)

OneDayAtATime G: You are a certified hair scientist! This made so much sense as to why my hair isn’t growing! I can’t wait to see results trying this method. Thank you sooooo much!

sosi111: I've had the same hair length since grade 8 and I stopped wondering why because I accepted that "hair has a natural length" Can't wait to try out your Tipps and tricks! Thanks a lot love your videos

E.Graham: Do you have any extra advice for someone who bleaches their hair? I realize this is super unhealthy and I’m sure it’s contributing to my hair loss and hair thinning… but I just really prefer being blonde Amazing video though! Thank you so much!

Salmiakki: You just validated my entire system, yay! I put jojoba oil in my hair, keep my hair braided and wash once a week and my hair has been gaining length like crazy, guess I need a leave in conditioner though. I haven't trimmed my hair since I was married in January (besides one trim in March to remove the final bit of bleach damage) I felt really nervous about not getting it regularly trimmed but there is very few split ends so I never bothered

Tracy Moore: Finally, a no non-sense hairstylist. This is all very informative and educational. Thank you!!

nenamichelle: I definitely get at least 6 inches of growth/year but I notice the hair at my ends getting thinner. I have lots of breakage up higher. Interested to see what happens when I incorporate some leave in conditioner and hair oil.

Demi Mels: I have watched tons and tons of hair videos, dozens and dozens of people talking about hair care etc etc, But, Seriously: I have never EVER seen anyone talk so honestly, with such expertise and MUCH needed simplicity, giving THE best tips I have heard in all my life hair-wise. Much respect to you, sir. You are a gem!

mickbeth65: I've only been using your routine for a little over two weeks, and I already see a shininess I haven't seen in years! It totally works!! I actually did have pretty thin and damaged ends, so I got a little trimmed off yesterday, and will be using this routine from now on (I put oil on those ends the second I got home from the salon! ha). Can't thank you enough for making all this valuable information available.

Suz T: Thanks for this advice! I used to have very long hair, but after colouring it for the first time, I lost a lot of length, so trying to repair it now. In another video of yours you talked about the difference between salon and drugstore shampoos and conditioners… which do you consider ‘function of beauty’ to be, as I’ve considered getting a bottle of their custom shampoos/conditioners…?

Verity Dixon: I always wondered why so many people liked how long my hair was, always asking what products I used, when really I just wasn’t allowed to cut my hair, nor could my family afford trims or hairdressers, and I didn’t trust my dad with scissors lol. I had two haircuts before it grew out to the back of my knees from age 14-17. We could only afford the cheap shampoo and conditioner, which had to be shared between 6 girls, so wash days were basically split up to accommodate us. Yes, one bottle of shampoo and conditioner between 6 girls with long hair lol. It was so awkward telling people I just didn’t cut my hair and didn’t use any products since we were poor. I just got good genetics that allowed my hair to grow really fast and thick, and it only looked decent because it’s a golden blonde with natural waves/ringlets. Then it got too much of a hassle, so I finally cut it once and I’m 21 now and have had 2 other above the shoulder haircuts, but it’s already long again passed my mid back. It’s a bit stressful having quick hair growth. But yeah, just don’t get trims I’d you want longer hair, just because you cut the bottom of your hair, it doesn’t trigger extra growth, it’s all dead anyway, it can’t sense that you’ve had a hair trim lmao.

Smellomania: Thank you for your wonderful videos! No unnecessary chatting and always straight to the point :) The information you share has truly improved my hair condition. Over the years I have accumulated many (silly?) questions about hair and all of my hairdressers had different answers. Assuming that there are many haircare aficionados in here, I'll just leave them here! 1. Can your hair get "tired" of always using the same products? Let's say you were always using the same volumizing products, but a year later the effect is less visible because your hair "got used" to the formula? Or is it useful to mix things up every few years or so? 2. Can you wash your hair in the sink? Upside down style? Or do you always have to do it in the shower, hair product commercial style? Can the direction of flowing water affect hair health in any way? 3. If you buy a bottle of shampoo and a bottle of conditioner, both equal in size...which one will run out first?? :) you've already taught us about the amount of shampoo needed for a successful wash in your videos. But what about conditioner? 4. Can you use a wet brush on dry hair? :) Seriously, is a wet brush the only brush we will ever need? And what about brushing your hair in general? If you wake up with the *perfect* hair are you still obliged to the hair gods to brush them out? 5. Is walking around the house in a classic after-the-shower look with your hair mingled inside a turban really so bad? I've heard rumors that it may cause bald spots near the temple?

Anna Bailey: I am a nutrition coach and he is sooooo right! Whole foods have a higher absorption rate because of high bioavailability. Great video as always!

My PinkLife: I have been following your advice and I am seeing a definite improvement. A year ago, I went for a trim and the stylist turned the chair around and thinned my hair out so much that I found pieces an inch from my scalp and my hair was past my bra strap line in the back. I told her I wanted one inch cut off and told her I wanted a blunt cut, no point cutting or anything else. I was very specific. It boggles my mind why some stylists do this. I am actually afraid to get a trim and have been watching your videos and giving myself olaplex treatments.I appreciate your advice.

curliefro: You are so right about the simplicity of this regimen. I simplified my regimen (getting rid of these trend products) and my hair has never felt better, thicker, and less tangled!

Coach Michele Smits: Great advice! Thank you! Mine grows awesome. I grew out a pixie during the pandemic, but it falls out. I have Graves’ disease and no thyroid. I am a thyroid cancer survivor. I need get on step #2 and 3 to take better care of my hair. Thank you!

Paola Animator: It looks like the only step I missed is adding hair oil to my curly ends, so I just started doing that. My curly hair is already down to my back, but I want to grow my curls to my hip/waist, that's my personal goal. I'd say my curls are 3B because I can see the spirals, some are curly, some are more loose. I enjoy having long hair.

Kimberly S: Thank you sooo much for having your channel Chris, I am learning so much! I am over 50 years of age and have been using tape-in extensions over the past 1 1/2 years because my hair has lost over 6 inches of length over the past 8 years. In order to follow your suggestions with the Trinity Routine do I need to have the extensions out or am I able to keep them in until my hair grows out a bit? (My length is not even shoulder length now without the extensions). Thank you for your expertise and assistance!!

Sirius.traveller: Took your advice a week ago and I'm already getting great results. Thank you

Ramirez: You have improved my hair so much. Leave in conditioner and oiling my ends was a game changer!!!

Pamela Rubel: I have to say that this is my favorite video about growing hair long! For years my hair wouldn't grow past my shoulders, and I waa frustrated because I loved my long hair. I have had many bad experiences with hairstylists in the past, so the salon is not a place I enjoy. I have VERY fine but curly hair, and unlike straight fine hair, mine is dry! So I had many bad experiences with hairstylists that didn't know what to do with my hair, they would straighten it to cut it, despite me telling them that I have different curl textures and cannot be cut straightened, they would pressure me into trimming my ends, and always cut way too much against my wishes, and would even get upset if I said no to trims. Then when I went to a curly hair salon, they tried to cut my hair in the same way they would cut thick and dense curls -.- I just stopped going, and until last year, I hadn't cut or trimmed my hair in 5 full years. And guess what? My hair was reaching my bra line! And my ends didn't look horrific as I was expecting, some split ends here and there, but nothing different than when I was trimming often. Last year I got the courage to trim my own hair, and now I just do some quick dustings of a few strands if the seemed knotted or split, and I even gave myself some layers this year! I love these tips, and only will add Olaplex no.3 because I bleach and dye my own hair and do need the help for that damage

Penny Savage: This video makes perfect sense. I wondered for years why my roots were growing but my length didn't. I took your advice today and oiled just my ends on clean hair. Now my hair looks like a greasy stringy mess! Now I'm going to have to co wash it to get the grease out. My hair is naturally curly, stringy and frizzy. Any suggestions?

Alexandra Rixom: So if you have long hair but are trying to get it to grow some more, how often would you recommend a trim? Or how long should I leave it in other words? My hair is in pretty good condition but it doesn’t seem to get any longer. The longest it got was when I didn't get a trim for 6 months during lock downs but it was a but damaged.

Joana André: I really cannot express how much I needed and LOVED this video. It exceed all of my expectations! You've just gained a new subscriber :)

Jackie brown: I stopped washing my hair as often, and strange enough it became less oily. My hair is softer and healthier than before. No heat. Shoulders and up is way better than a year ago. We have natural oils for a reason.

Heather Bunch: Omg!!! The answer to all my problems! I've bounced from hair stylist to hair stylist over the last 15 years for the answers you gave me in just mins!!!

Sukina Johnson: I watched this video from beginning to end!! It's sooo simple. I have long hair but want it to be down to my waist so I have been researching and realized I wasn't doing a half bad job but definitely need to up the oil regimen. I realized on my way to work that I need to oil my hair more because I workout and my hair ends up drying out so I need to but the moisture back in. I was beyond happy to know I have been doing most of the things you mentioned!! I just need to protect my ends better by sealing them with oil more often. I'm on my way to your dry hair routine video!!!! Love you and thank you!! Last thing I hope someone black sees my picture and realize you are talking to us too!!! sometimes when a person doesn't look like us we ignore the advice but NOOOOO!! We are all so much a like it's not even funny.

Oksana Morozova: Love this video! Great energy, clear explanation, no bs, Thank you !

VIRGINIAof1985: And don't forget iron deficiency+low ferritin levels as well as vitamin D deficiency affect hair growth! I had both and after treating them I saw HUGE difference!
