Located in McDonough, Ga

This client came in for a crochet, braid installation and I discovered that she had dry scalp. So I went ahead and did a complimentary, um good, old-fashioned, Mama head scratch on her and she has a lot of dandruff which can be caused by overactive, sebaceous, glands and some other things going on. But I wanted to go ahead and get in there and get her scalp scratched first, and I am putting her on a shampoo treatment for her scalp, so we're gon na see how her shampoo does and that doesn't work. I have another shampoo that one to try on her hair to see if we can get that scalp more healthy, be careful Queens as you're doing this application, because you don't want to cause further irritation or redness to the scalp. She is going to get a shampoo braid down and an installation, but, as you can see, her scalp is clean. It'S beautiful

Kenyetta Ready: Thank u sis for not making her feel dirty. I suffer from scalp psoriasis and the number of stylists I went to that made me feel like I didn’t wash my hair discouraged me. I hadn’t been to one in years. I hope I find a stylist like you in South Carolina

marie c.: That scalp scratch alone was worth at least $100!!! That stylist is an angel

RaiRaiBrown: That was so kind and caring of you, you understand it's a medical condition and you treated her with care, and dignity great job too btw.

Nicole Mollette: Old fashion mama'head scratch ..that's soothing ..made me miss my grandma, and mom..nice job!

JH: That’s hard work. I’m sure she appreciated it. You’re a good person doing that.

Alexis: I love that you said "get the scalp more healthy". You may not be a doctor but you are helping her health, from emotional feelings to the scalp itself.

RH: Hi she might have Seborrheic Dermatitis

Explore it With Kaia: Miracle worker! That can be so embarrassing, but you didn't shame her, you helped her out. Women lifting other women up is a beautiful thing ♥️

Valerie F: I can only imagine how relieving that felt, you are such a blessing

Uniquely_ _ Awkward Simply_ _ Beautiful: The fact that you don’t have on any gloves tells me you absolutely love what you do ! ❤️❤️

Serenityblu23: My heart goes out to her.

Alexia Brown-Anderson: For people who are asking if she didn't notice this before she visited. For some form of dermatitis, you may wash today and they pop up tomorrow. Sometimes you don't know until you scratch and it starts to flake. Doesn't mean the person is dirty.

Sharon: it's as if you're scratching my scalp through the screen lol. the results are amazing

Shemiyah Rainey: I love a beautician that studies and learns about scalp/hair.

clarity2253: I've never seen a scalp like that, wow. Because her hair looks healthy.

Kay Allen: Thank you so much for doing her a service! I am disgusted when beauticians leave a client’s scalp in this state..❤️❤️❤️

Keah Harrison: My mom use to do this when I was younger. I use to hate it lol but the dandruff was gone and my hair was down my back

NINI the Gemini: Thank you for handling her with love & care not making her feel insecure or uncomfortable you did an amazing job on her scalp love your commentary, this was my scalp years ago & the stylist I went to at the time had some discouraging comments, sending positive vibes your way!

Marquita G: Wow that was so kind of you and the final results were great.

Daffy: You probably helped her confidence 10fold. How amazing! I am white and I have very fine hair and I struggle so much with confidence due to my dandruff. I am on a special dermatitis shampoo right now and I’m hoping that helps! I hope anyone who has insecurities with their hair finds someone like this nice lady (and the person who helped me), who will help you find products that will help with your hair and confidence!

Nicole Greene: Bless you, Sis! This is hair ministry right here when you help one, you are helping all. ❤️

Let’s be Fruitful: I would need gloves for that but you did a great job ❤

Lana bandzy: I’m so happy you didn’t shun her away or make her pay a big fee like other stylist do! So nice and sweet of you and you will be blessed for making others happy and not shaming people or making them feel uncomfortable for things they can’t help! :)❤️❤️

C Michelle: I bet that felt so good - you are an angel for doing this. My mom used to scratch my scalp for me - i truly miss it.

Debrann Kaye: Now that's the way you scratch a head

Grace: Oh poor dear. I have seb derm and it can be so uncomfortable and embarrassing. Thanks for being such a gentle and kind human about her scalp. <3 Her skin looked so happy afterwards!

Jennell Ricks: I love scratching scalps

Vivian Brown: Don’t tease us with these shorts. Lol! We need a full video of this.

DOROTHY TAYLOR: Oh that's a goood head scratch!!!

Tina So Blessed: Yes,I miss those days, when my daughters were younger, they used to love to play in my hair and scratch my scalp! You had the perfect name, "An old fashioned Mama Scratching"

Mae Sams: OMG! I also notice that a lot of beauticians don't sanitize hair utensils like back in the day! I took cosmetology in the 90's, and Barbicide was a must. People are not careful anymore, and they certainly don't care about taking care of their clients like in past years. This is why I take my own combs, or do my own hair.

Summer Streetz 📝: Dandruff is actually a form of fungus. I used to do the scratching with gloves and treat the clean scalp with castor or coconut oil due to their anti fungal qualities. Which after a few months kills the fungus! Great job Sis!

J Draper: You’re an awesome hairdresser who would give a complimentary service to your client.

Kallie: The before and after is incredible!! And how kind of you! Love this

Chef Twink: I loved it when my clients came with a scalp like that. My ex-husband had a scalp condition like this. I did hair for 45 yrs...retired last year

Lisear: I used to do this for my granddaughter. We both found it therapeutic... so soothing

Joy Richerson: Looks more like scalp psoriasis than dandruf

A. Williams: It looks like seborrheic dermatitis. It would get aggrevated by spray oils or other things coming in contact with her skin. It can happen on the eyebrows, by the nose, etc. I had it so bad my scalp used to peel like an apple. It might be hereditary b/c we all had it.

Mary Loving: My scalp used to be like that...apple cider vinegar was my miracle treatment inside and out.

Amelia Grace: Will you do more of these vids..so soothing....

Leslie Wicks: U cleaned her hair beautifully. Hope u got a generous tip.

Essie Nelson: I bet that felt so good to be done ❤️✨️ You are an absolute queen for helping her and making her feel beautiful! You are amazing!

Susan: Honeyyyyyyyy. Please come wash my hair. Hair salons don't be doing this at all. They wash your hair so fast , shaking your head to death in the bowl or barley scrubbing smh . It's sad .

Wanda Patt: So cool of you to do that. A lot of stylists are charging high prices with the least amount of services. She will be a loyal customer and send business your way.

MrsRowdy: Alot of people didn’t grow up with mommas and grandmas that taught hygiene. Thank you for being so sweet and kind

Mocha Jones: She didn't notice that before she got there? I'm just saying

Elizabeth T: That was nice of you. I went to a hair stylist once. I suffered from acne that was healing from meds but still existed on the nape of my neck. I told her about it and asked her to be careful when combing out my hair back there. She said “ew, no thanks” and I cried. I rarely go to hairdressers now.

Amy K: You are sweet. White hair salons would be so mean and nasty if someone had dandruff. It's life and it happens. Nice to see a kind person like you treating your client with loving care

ushouldknow bynow: I havent had a proper mama head scratch in yeaaars. So kudos to u for taking of this lady dopeness

Michele L: Your such a kind professional hairdresser. She is lucky.

Baby Ree: God bless you, you sound like such a sweet person

Barbara Hull: Back in the day I had the same thing. Tegrin shampoo took care of the problem. Doctors recommended alot of the medicines that didn't work. They eventually took Tegrin off the market.☹️

C A: Complimentary?? Girl, you're an angel for that. I know that was a lot of work. I hope she tipped high! You deserved it.

Deborah Day: Kudos to you for taking the time to patiently do what was needed to get her scalp back to healthy. So many stylists are not even trying to shampoo the hair for a braid job; I hear many want you to come in with clean hair these days.

Brooke Hunter: She probably feels so much better! Praise God! Thank you for sharing, Ms. PK

Vinyl916: I used to go to a hairdresser YEARS ago that used to rinse my scalp with pure white vinegar. Believe me, it disappeared

Drea 🎀 Lynne: I got super thick curly hair and also have some issues with dandruff. It gets oily after two days of no hair washing. I heard that curly hair tends to get oily on the roots bc the oils can't make it as easily down the hair shaft, thus building up the oil on your roots and drying the ends. I'm thinking I may have those over active sebaceous glands like you mentioned. I started using spray leave in conditioner on my ends to keep them moisturized. I'm glad you didn't make this woman feel bad or embarrass her. Not a lot of folks have your understanding and grace ❤️

cathlean epps: I don't know about everyone else but that felt old school good

Desiree Cumberbatch: God bless you, I know she felt so good after you were done

Rebecca Brazil: That must have felt sooooooo good!

Boss Lady83: That should of been disclosed before hand in my opinion just in case you may have had other clients after because I’m sure that took more time than you anticipated originally.

Stefany: Poor thing, hope she's feeling better, that must be so itchy!

jo beth. rico: My sister had the same thing 30years ago ,she used a mixture of omega 3,6,and9 orally and that’s what worked for her !

Cindy Nunn: Im a dandruff Scratchin Watchaholic When this Popped up on my page. I got excited. It just wasn't long enough. Please, Please do more scratches. There's many more Dandruff Scratching Watchaholic ; just like me❤

ida houston: It's so good to see your stylist actually taking care of her clients scalp and her health also giving service. This is how we used to be. I feel so sorry for everybody going to stylist now where you have to wash your own hair before you get there. We need to start boycotting stylists who don't care about the health of our hair and are just trying to empty our pockets. Let's start supporting stylists like this.

RG1 WhiteyWins: Some large amount of dandruff is caused by fungus that can come from putting wet or sweaty hair where people's feet have been, like the carpet or couch. So don't do that.

Dr. Hen: This definitely made me miss my grandmother. I used to scratch her scalp. She use to always say. “Nobody scratch your scalp like Licia “ And I used to love doing it too. It’s not gross. It beautiful. The same way I feel about popping pimples. I absolutely enjoy it. Yep I’m a weirdo‍♀️‍♀️

love q.: Love how you were nice about it. I've seen other hairstylers shaming their client.

skating43: Boy, do I miss my mother. She would scratch my head, and it felt so good.

Marcie Sneed: Very informative and appreciate the encouragement. My daughter has the same issue. I use Sulfur 8 Hairbraiding Spray. It works wonders

lola Monroe: Peppermint oil helps very well with dandruff before and after washing your hair. Dandruff can also be caused by hard water find a filtering showerhead and your hair and skin will see a big difference.

Ray Litty: Omg my mom still does this to my scalp and it's the best feeling in the world

Reena BINA: You nicer than me I’m like why wouldn’t you already come with a clean scalp

Virginia Watson: You’re an Angel.

Shareka McCollum: My scalp is kinda like this. I bet that feels sooooo good.

Elemental Buttahfly II: That's how my dandruff is. Everyone in my family has dandruff like this. Nothing like a good ol fashion mama scratch. Great job.

Joy Lastname: My older sister had to be put on medication shampoo. This was her scalp situation

April Kilroy: Need more videos like this

Tywanna Grice: Omg I love getting my hair scratched I wish we had some queens like u in my area Lord I’ll pay to have this done just put me right on to sleep honey

ZF Chaudhry: Wow... Here I thought I've insane amount of dandruff in my hair. Seriously tho. I'm glad it's nothing as compare to this lady and I hope the treatments you give work for her scalp. Because no one wants dandruff

Redbone Dianna: Wow!! My dad had that issue with his skin.., and it was none-stop til he passed away.

justcallme...: You made me want a good old fashioned head scratch :-)

Brand Nu Shooze: I have NEVER seen it so severe. I bet that scratch felt gooood!

Kerrye Hill: That's not just dandruff. that is an indication that she has a sensitivity to a food. Our bodies first warning to gut sensitivity is our skin especially the scalp.

Karen Lynne Johnson: We used to call it growing Dandra. I'm next please

Joyce Okeibunor: Bless your heart ❤️

Busy Being Cryssi: Both of my daughters suffer from this. One loves her braids, but when that build up starts, I’m sitting her on the floor and doing the same to her scalp.

Pearll Jewels: Soothing...just watching

Lorielle Turner: Yup...I have serb derm and it's spotty but I have to lift that build up before anything else happens and wash more often, even with protective styles. Most stylist want you to come washed and blow dried already, allowing them to avoid THIS process which sucks for a client willing to pay AND bring their medicated products. Shout out to YOU for being a willing, patient stylist!

April: WOW! What a kind hearted person you are ❤

Red W.: I love our culture just things like this we grew up with it makes sense and it helped

D. P. C.: My goodness, I bet her scalp thanked you.

Lori Owens: I love scratching dandruff! Used to do it to my sister when we were growing up. Haven't had a head like that to scratch in years!

Deborah P. Hartnett-Adams: Good job.

Kasim: The patience of that hairdresser! Kudos

AppleBerryNaNa: Whew I felt the relief in this video. Miss my mommy and gmom❣️

EVELYNE💜ELIANA: Is it weird that i like to watch good ol fashion mama head scratch? It's so satisfying

MoneyYaiya: I love this! For the next service, I think black latex gloves protect your hands and still look very professional. I know stylists wear them for chemical services sometimes too. It may help ❤️ you’re doing amazing work!

incognito_in_D.C.20020: Seborrheic Dermatitis? Bless your heart, btw!

Jay D: Love this, can you please do more videos like these?
