Hello, everybody and welcome back to my channel, i'm so excited today to be bringing you a updated, curly, hair routine for beginners. This is a super, easy curly hair routine to get really nice juicy healthy, hydrated curls, and it is super easy. It only includes two products and a few easy steps to follow, along with i'm going to be trying my best to get back to weekly videos. Now that things have been settling with hamilton here in australia and we're into like our regular show weeks, which is so exciting - and i know you guys have missed me - and i've missed you too - so i'll be bringing you lots of hair, updated content as well as Vlogs and all that all that stuff, this is the results of this routine and my own mind. My girls are juicy super soft and super hydrated. So if you want to follow along on this routine, make sure you keep on watching. I love you all so much and don't forget to follow me on instagram if you want to keep up to date with me on a day-to-day basis, and you want to learn more about hamilton, okay, guys, let's help straight into the routine first few steps, i'm going To mention um, i'm not going to actually demonstrate, but i'm just going to talk about them, so my first step is obviously to use a really good, shampoo and conditioner. I used my function of beauty products which are customizable, shampoo and conditioner, which i've talked a lot about in other videos. So that's what i use today for my shampoo and conditioner and then this is the important step that i've been implementing recently into my routine, and that is when you get out of the shower. Do not wrap your hair in a towel or a t-shirt. All you want to do is kind of just give it a really gentle squeeze to get any excess moisture out of it, and so it's not soaking wet. And then you just want to tie it up into a really really loose bun and you can leave it for as long as you'd like i would suggest, leaving it in that bun for maybe 20 to 25 minutes. I made lunch. I made lunch so um it's been in for about an hour, but what this is going to do is just going to let your curls form in their own natural pattern instead of like roughing it and drying it and flattening it with a towel or a shirt. Now i'm going to take it out and, as you can see, my hair has already formed. You know natural curls and we don't want to disrupt this. So what we're going to be focusing on today is just enhancing your natural pattern with some products and a few different techniques. Now, if you accidentally leave your hair for too long and it's a bit too dry to style on, you just want to get a little spray bottle and give it a little bit of a re spray. A spray bottle is one of those things that, like i just essential for curly hair. I reckon it's only like two dollars when your hair is nice and damp, don't run your hands through and break up the curls just kind of smooth all the water over it and give it a little bit of a scrunch. So now i'm so ugh. I hate wet hair on my back, i'm someone who personally likes to part my hair pretty properly. But if you are a curly girl who likes to just let it fall, how it falls. I would skip this step, so i'm going to really really gently part, my hair, how i like it my hair - oh it actually just did itself, i'm just i normally like a middle part, but lately it's kind of been naturally parting here. So i think i might just leave it and see how it dries. I think it's cute um, if you want to part your hair without distracting your curls, just be really careful and just do the top part don't brush through the curls so yeah. Just to reiterate that you're going to step out of the shower and just give your hair a little bit of a squeeze and then tie it up into a bun and when you're ready take it out, your hair will have dried. However, it naturally dries and just add a little bit of water in it to re-wet it before we start to style. So what i'm going to be focusing today on for beginners, is not breaking up that natural curl pattern by raking or brushing through the hair, brushing through the hair with a denman, is a technique. I actually really really love, but this technique i find to be easier. I find it also to be better for less tight curls, so anything from your type 2 hair to your type 3, a hair. This is really going to be an effective routine to get as much bounce as possible without stringing out those curls, which i would normally do by raking or brushing with a denim when your hair is ready for styling. The first thing you want to do is select a cream product that you like, and that works for your hair. With my hair type, i've got very thin hair, but a lot of it. So my hair doesn't like thick heavy products, so i typically go for really light creams. My one of my favorites is the bunder boost styling cream, but today i'm going to be using the living proof. Curl enhancer i've been trying this out for a little while now and i'm still filming my opinion on it, but so far it's super nice and moisturizing. So you want to be using something: that's going to hydrate your hair first, so any type of cream or you know, leave-in conditioner is really going to be beneficial to give your hair that moisture and shine it needs, i'm sure you're not going too heavy. So it's not weighing those curls down or making your hair too oily. So i'm going to start small with your products guys you can always build up, but you cannot take away so this one has like a slight stick to it, which is something i love in products. So what i'm going to do, which is finding my natural routine, is not rake, but i'm going to kind of gently apply this over the curls everywhere i possibly can really being careful to not. You know, ruin or drag out my natural pattern, all the way to the roots. Just being really super careful, i mean all the way to the ends and on the roots too, for frizzies, okay, and once i have kind of smoothed it on top, i like to add just a little bit more products and we're going to scrunch this in now And this is going to enhance that natural curl pattern even more as you can see, it's giving me a bit more volume and it's really made those curls pop. My hair always looks so dark when it's wet okay and i'm going to just repeat all those steps on the other side, now smoothing and scrunching, but not breaking, really important step. If you find that your hair is flat at the back is actually just giving it a little bit of love, awesome really, nice, a little bit of love and scrunching those sections together to get it off your scalp and blend the curls okay, and that is your First part of the styling next part i like to go in with a mousse or a gel, and the reason i like to do this is to kind of set the curls which is going to make them last longer get rid of the frizz. And then you can also scrunch it out, which will give you more volume. So everyone knows this is my go-to mousse. This is the frizzy's dream, curls curl revival mousse from john frieda. This is a brand new bottle, and with this you don't need to kind of smooth it too much. You just want to be scrunching it into the hair, i'm going to just build up as we go and then just scrunch that into the hair, i'm going to be getting all sections you can see. This is a really really easy to routine to follow. Now, when it comes to drying, you have a few different off what's wrong with me now, when it comes to drying, you have a few different options: there is air drying diffusing a mix of both or towel drying. So what i like to do is i'm going to take a microfiber towel, which is just really nice and soft on the hair and doesn't create frizz, and i like to give it a little bit of a scrunch to get rid of any excess moisture. Oh, i have done that and i personally really prefer to diffuse. Sometimes i leave my hair for about 20 minutes air drying and then i diffuse my hair. But today i'm just going to go straight in with a diffuser, and i have a few different videos where i use one might film an updated diffusing routine soon. But for now check this video out, i will come back with the finished results of my really really easy, styling routine, so just to reiterate one more time get out of the shower hair and a bun. Take it out rewet it if you need to and just smooth product and scrunch products, starting with a conditioning product and then finishing still not using my fingers and then finishing with something that's going to set the product and add volume hold and get rid of fritz And then you can dry and you'll be on your way, so i'll come back when my hair is dry and show you the results. This is my hair after drying it with the diffuser. Now i didn't shake my hair or anything yet. So this is exactly what it looks like when it's just dry um, it's pretty much 100 dry. So a lot of people stop here and they think why don't i have any volume. This step is super important. If you're a beginner - and you don't know you have to shake out your curls so that you can get volume and separate them and fluff it out. But if you like a definition, this is definitely a good place to stop. My curls are super defined and i have no frizz at all, but i really like more volume. This is how you shake out your curls properly without getting too much frizz. So what i do is i take my fingers start in the very roots. You don't want to go on top of your hair, this baby's going to go over here and you just want to start kind of shaking very gently at the roots to separate the curls and get it off your scalp so that you can get some volume going. You want to follow that all the way back to the bottom of your head around the ears, literally just everywhere, like like you're, giving yourself a nice scat, massage you're, not shaking too crazily, because you don't want to make frizz okay. Now also, you can take your fingers and give them a bit of a shake kind of throughout the hair to separate some curl patterns quickly, diffuse it a bit more, and here we are. This is my hair finished, so, as you can see, my curls look really really nice juicy and defined and not fuzzy, which is what i love and, as you can see, they just look really cute so um my hair doesn't have as much volume as normal, because Today, when i was styling on damp, hair or quite wet hair, actually it mainly focuses on keeping that moisture and that shine and definition. But i love the shape of my hair at the moment and the length and how the curls have been forming um. I'M really really yeah, i really like it and these products yeah the more i use this, the more. I really really love it, the living proof um curl enhancer, so that is my routine. I will give you another quick close-up of the newsy curls. We'Ve got going on so juicy, okay, everyone! So now you want to aim to not touch your hair too much throughout the day. I'M a really bad culprit, because i touch my hair all the time you can continue to give it a little bit of shake at the roots if you feel it's starting to go a little bit flat throughout the day. But besides that, as i'm touching my hair, you don't want to be playing with it too much, because you will create a little bit of frizz. So that is my routine and i really hope it helped you guys. Let me know your thoughts. Let me know if you try it out and if you like it, let me know what you think of these products and also leave some recommendations of what you want to see. Um more of on my channel and i'm going to be trying to do weekly videos again now that things have been settling with work so yeah, i'm so happy to be back guys. I love you so much and bye.

Malak Ahmed: I TRIED THIS TODAY AND I CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH MY HAIR NEVER LOOKED BETTER

lalaa Slurp: I love how this has low manipulation & is based on enhancing your natural pattern! It doesn’t feel as forced as other tutorials

nic: I love how private this series feels, like if we were talking face to face I love it

CryptidFlower: I’m not a beginner but my curly hair routine doesn’t always do my curls the most favors, can’t wait to try this!!

Maryam Shamalta: Hello Jayme, I love your videos! I’m the only one in my family with 3b hair, no one in my family knew how to take care of curly hair so I grew up hating my hair because dealing with it was always so difficult and painful. Watching your videos really helped me to understand my hair, how to properly take care of it, and you helped me appreciate my natural hair. Thank you so much! ♥️

Samantha Ganey: I’ve been doing this routine for about a week now and really love it! I thought with my looser curl pattern putting it in a bun would just ruin it but I like the more natural look I get. I usually denman brush my whole head but I find this looks curlier and more volume

Amy Chan: NOTE TO SELF but I'll share it anyway lol beginner curly girl steps: 1- customizable Shampo and conditioner 2- put your hair on a loose bun (20-25 mins to an hour) >> if you left it for one hour or more slightly re-wet it<< 3- part your hair but don't brush through the curls (we want to keep our curls) 4- hydrate your hair with a "curly hair cream" or "leave-in conditioner" (pay attention to the technique she uses in the video) 5- "Hair mousse" or "Hair gel" to hold the curls (pay attention to the technique she uses in the video) 6- drying your hair is part of styling it so it creates less frizz use a "microfiber towel" or a "cotton t-shirt" to scrunch the curls and a diffuser (diffuser speeds up the drying time) 7- Shake your roots and curls gently ((BUT DONT BREAK THEM)) for more volume :D

Angelica Grills: Thank you so much for the video. I am so happy I tried your routine. The technique worked great with the products I already had. The technique and tips you gave helped me solve a problem I have been having lately of having defined curls, but huge gaps between clumps so it looked so thin. Now I have both defined curls and volume. Thank you so much. The wet bun tip really is a game changer! Thanks again.

crispsaturday: Oh my god Jayme thanks a lot for a simple routine. I always let my hair air dry and it looked ok I guess. I tried this new routine yesterday and got two compliments for my curls in one day today!

froggy: This was super useful! I’ve never known how to style or take care of my curly hair, and instead tried to straighten it very regularly. You make me feel so proud of my curls and btw ur eyes are stunning, ur skin is glowing and ofc ur hair is amazing. Thank u

zoyaya: OMG!! She explained this so well, I am trying this tomorrow so wish me luck. She explained this so nicely and genuinely was so happy to give us the tips! Great video

Grace Pare: I have two different textures of curls on my head, 3c in the front and 3a in the back, and I always found that brushing or raking the product through would make my 3a hair super flat and straight, so this is great! Thank you

Fanat._nemau: I just started my curly hair journey and this was so helpful! Thank you ❤️

Maya Abare: A good tip for parting your hair and not messing up the top curls would be to fix your part at the end of your shower real quickly then finish rinsing it out and doing the bun that way you don't have to disrupt your curl pattern after its started setting

Julysa Flor Rubite: Thank you! Now I have a routine to follow for my 2b-2c hair. Hopefully there is an update for how to prep hair before sleeping and refreshing hair on no wash day :)

llichyarm: I've haven't successfully styled my curly hair yet, and I'm a super beginner. I'm hopping into the shower now to try this! Wish me luck Update: pretty sure it's dry now, but it looks great!!! Best result I've gotten so far thank you

Maria Chang: Love!! Easy, fast and effective

sonia cappelli: Super soft and hydrated hair! Incredible result! You're so nice. Glad to see you again

Robert: this is so wonderful thank you !!!!!! so grateful you reiterated everything it was so helpful. you are loved, beautiful soul

Lucios Therpos: Love this. So simple ❤️

bondcita: I thought it was just me! I hate wet hair on my back also! Absolutely beautiful hair. Thanks for the tips!

CaliCoz Skit: I love how you don’t force products on us and tell us how In order to get our curls to look a certain way we HAVE to buy a certain product.

Clau Panquecito: I'm gonna try this tomorrow, the whole bun idea sounds interesting, my normal routine it's to plop for like 10 min, and then denman brush, so I'm going to try this tomorrow and see how it turns out!

liv frizz: I feel like I'm going through a similar thing with my hair as you right now, I feel like earlier in the year/ end of last year I had my hair looking really good and voluminous and defined, and recently I'm finding it looks dragged down, the curls are less tight and more frizzy than usual, I'm not too sure why as I have the exact same routine as when it was looking great :(. Interested to see how you go with your journey! Trying to figure out what to do with my hair at the moment as well.

Crys Washington- Live Life Beautifully: Love this! Would love to see a video on how to grow curly hair long.

naylee: i did every step & omg , they were so defined thank youu

Kathia Cristina: We missed you! Everytime I see your curly hair routine, motivates me to keep in mine❤️

JD: I followed this routine today but I used my olive oil eco styling gel instead of mousse. My curls were looking so pretty.

هلا الفايز: Actually you really really really helped me to do my curly hair

Simone du Toit: You're making me miss my long hair so much! I'm really liking the length of your hair at the moment!

Veronica Viramontes: OMG you're hair is GORGEOUS! I will die if I can get my hair to be like yours lol. I've had curly hair for awhile, but never really knew how to take care of it, what products to use/how to use. I mainly use drug store products to save $$ but I feel like no matter what product I put in my hair it comes out so frizzy! and some hair will curl and others just look wavy.

Kringe Inamsu: Thank you! I am starting to take better care of my curly hair and am always looking for more tips, this was very helpful! :)

Sista Vlogs: OMG!!this routine really help me and my curly hair thank you so much !!

It’s Naisha: Curly hair, green eyes, PERFECT skin AND u can sing! Ur absolutely amazing

Curly Camille Chenelle: Your hair is gorgeous. I don't see a lick of frizz. Frizz is my worst enemy so I will definitely be giving that John Frieda a try. My hair 3c 4a - ish and SUPER prone to frizz :) AWESOME VIDEO.

Issa Boca: I tried this today and my hair looks so much better, I even did it without a diffuser.

Catherine Cook: Jay love and appreciate your videos! Will you please do a day 2 or day 3 ‘refresh video’ to show how you rehydrate your curls? Thank you

Niyathi Joseph: Oh my god, I'm so upset that I didn't find this hair routine earlier MY HAIR LOOKS SO COOL

Mia Moran: you have the most prettiest eyes i dont even want to blink

Camila: She’s such an inspiration, thank u Jayme✨

Teatotaller: Hey Jay! Your videos have been a great help! I'm going through a hair journey rn and I'm losing it! Do you have any advice on hair webbing? When I wash my hair I try to run my fingers through and it grips like those thin plastic wigs. I have thin temperamental hair and recently I haven't been able to get any curl out of it. I used to have long curly hair and now no matter how short a cut I get, it flops. There are days I manage to get it extremely curly but they're so few. My hair frizzes easily. After a day, my hair flops, then a day later it gets extremely oily and I have to wash again. It feels like it's damaged (I did dye my hair once which I think made it worse and I used to iron it a lot), but I'm confused as to if I should do protein or moisture treatment? I'm getting desperate

Diana SsSnix: I literally just got out of the shower and let my hair "sit" in the bun instead of proceeding with styling and wrape it in a t shirt. Im excited for this as I struggle with freeze ❤

Lilith: I wish I could do this too! I've tried so many of your videos but my hair always, ALWAYS stays frizzy as fuck, no matter what I do or what I use D: I love your hair so much man <3

Keila_Inspires: Beautiful curls! I would love mine to look bouncy like yours

Aida F.: OMYGOD I LOVE your layers and curls Jayme, I SO want this cut!!

Dawlat photography: I cant thank you enough, it worked perfectly to me, even tho i have 2a/2b hair , and now i have pefect curls like yours in the video , thank you again

Andreea Gheorghi: This is the best video I've seen in a looong time! Thank you Jamie, I needed this advice in my life!

Alysa Vega: I am going to give this a try. I fight with frizz as soon as I am done washing my hair... my hair dries very fast

Aliza Asad: My curls are completely flat on the top layer and it gets quite frizzy. The under layer of my hair are more curly and not frizzy but you can't really see the bottom layer too well. Do you know what I can do to heal my top layer faster?

Dilan: I felt like I heard a big sister advice and I'm truly thankful for this

Kyla Boutin: I have fine hair and lots of it as well. Do any of the products you use contain glycerin? Do you get layers when getting a haircut? Thank you for the great video! ❤

olivia: im bout to try this literally right now. ive been experimenting wit diff routines since i big chopped my "mashallah-provoking shaar" as ive named it in tribute to all the aunties who loved my long straightened hair. mine right now is good for my 2c/3a curls but my curls fall to waves so quick after like 2 days so i think i might actually try damp styling instead of wet for once. it mightve been too heavy for my hair

maria g: do you ever have problems with product build up from the mousse? I've been using this one for a while and i love it but i always find the product build up to be horrible after like day 3 or 4! my scalp gets super itchy and ugh

rajna kamberi: Love the update ✨✨✨ I really needed this❤️❤️❤️

Victoria Säuberli: It helped me so much thank you! ❤️

4-EverFandom: your very pretty! And I have curly hair, and no one else does except my dad who has dreds. he doesn't know how to take care of my hair either. Or give me tips at least. My aunt gave me this video and some other one. I really love how simple this is, makes my life so much more easier!

jazz parker: I have been using heat on my hair almost every day since I was 12 (8 years). 2 years ago I bleached my hair and now I decided to stop using heat and dying my hair but it’s so thin (not a lot of it) I I used to be able to get 10 plaits in my hair before bed but now I get 4 that are about the same size. It’s so heartbreaking but seeing your natural hair makes me wonder if there is any way I can make mine thicker (more of it) again

Sara Ibarra: The exact video I was looking for thank you!!

Lailani Rodriguez: PERFECT TIMING!! Love your videos.

Caroline Hali: Jayme I just love your videos! did you detangle your hair or just put it straight in a bun after you washed it? thank youuuu x

Cambrie Taylor: I am watching this quite late at night but will try tmr. One of my biggest issues is I play softball and I have a really hard time keeping my hair for more than one day if anyone has tips or hairstyles that will stay without damaging the curls let me know I know I am late

Andrea Jaymee: You're so amazing! This helped me so much!

Dominique Wright: You're sooo pretty and your hair looks amazinggg ✨

Morgana Cannon: What's your advice for us curlies with super super dry curls and damage at the front that is really not helped by pulling it back tight at all, as that seems to be one of your key moves for your late week styles.

Major Davis: hello jayme.i would like to say,you are so pretty.your hair is so lovely too.i like this video.the more i watch these hair videos, the more i like them.this is so awesome.

Sarah Mag: That was so helpful Jayme thank you :)) But my problem is, that when I'm styling, after diffusing and shaking my rote looks so flat and without volume. What can I do ?

M4ri4m roses: Finger coiling and diffusing my hair made such a big difference I recommend doing that if your hair isn’t as curled

sezsh Joey: Oh my goodness of course I can't believe this. I watched this video about two days ago. Then I wondered if it would be useful to do this. But today I did this. I could not believe guys this worked❤️. I had wavy hair and now it has some curls❤️ If I continue to do this I will be able to see good results ❤️ luv ya and thanx alot gurrrllll❤️

Aline Rodrigues: I loved this technique and You explain so well and go directly to the point. I am a New subscribed and I have a question: do u have any videos about the best products that we can also find or ship to New Zealand . I know that you are from Australia, but if you could help us with this would be awesome. I am in NZ right now and I want to embrace my curls and you have been an inspiration for me. Thanks a lot.

SnickersW00: Thanks so much! I know you didn’t use the denman and emphasized not raking your hair with product (thanks because I have been doing just that). Do you brush your hair when it’s wet after you shampoo it before you put up in a bun or do you only use your fingers to detangle?

Heather: I'd love to see you do a tutorial on the makeup you wear for Hamilton! Especially as I always hear stage makeup needs to be a bit heavier under all the lights so would be very cool to see a complete recreation but then maybe how you might wear it "in real life"?

Marianellyy Diaz: So beautiful !! I always shake my roots !

jazz flint: I'm a guy with around similar length hair as you, looks like similar curl type too. I'm so clueless when it comes to this so this is actually very helpful thank you so much. May I ask how often this should be done, every other day? Weekly? Etc and also how do I protect my hair when I sleep?

Clare Murphy: I have naturally curly hair, but I love to watch other people doing there hair routines just to see the products and find out if there good for curls☺️

mina ibrahim: ayo we got the same hair type question: was your hair always voluminous? or was it the layers that helped add a lot of volume?

MineMobs 3000: Thank you so much for this video! Much needed

مريم الشنقيطي: This is the vedio I needed it sums up everything I need to know. Thank you ❤️

miriam: This really helped me bcoz my hair is already curly but I want more so thanks :D

Abigail Esparza: Your hair is so gorgeous!

Stitch Cyber Blue: Saw you in Hamilton! You were amazing as the bullet . Can’t wait to try this routine

Caitlin Sawicki: If I really put effort in I get spirals like yours. I love the length on you! So pretty

Hi There: Her skin color and eyes are so pretty she’s so pretty in general

Jac: Hahah this is perfect for me! i love hamilton and curly hair tips!!! you have a new subscriber!! you are gorgeous btw

defarmers kitchen: You're so pretty. I'll try this tomorrow

Lina Abakkari: Can you do a day of my curly hair . How you keep it good during the day ❤️❤️

elle xo: are there alternatives for your shampoo and conditioner since it's not available in my country and my mother doesn't support online shopping lol <3

HurricaneHoffman219 YT: i use a hair mask after my shower and let it sit for abt 30 mins in a bun. and then rinse it back out. will that ruin the natural curl pattern i set while in a bun? or should i wait another 30 mins after it's rinsed in a bun again? i also love ur curls so much they are what i want to eventually look like so thank you

lucy’s life: I am only 12 years old and I really want tight ringlets. This video is going to help me build a routine!!!

Sarah: The mousse makes my hair very dry.. Also it is just Always dry... Germany has not many products for curly hair... It's so annoying...can you make a moisture video Love from

Michellé wiese: so happy you are back !! you look radiant ! may i ask what you used on your lips in this video it looks so beautiful!!

Charlie: Do you put it in a bun before the curl enhancer or after?

Amina.: Omg thank you so much, I’ve been needing this

The Bookworms Nook: There are a few steps that wouldn't work for me. I couldn't do without a towel to dry because my hair soaks up so much water I'd be dripping everywhere and I hate damp hair on my back. Plus my hair is too long for a messy bun like that. I also have to comb it after showering because it's so knotted up otherwise.

Blessed: Mashallah girl your hair is so beautiful!❤️
