What'S up, you guys welcome back to my channel so today in this video, I'm gon na be showing you my updated curl routine for Mia's hair and all the new products that I've been loving for her hair recently so yeah. So, first off I'm gon na start off. By taking this weed, add curl quencher shampoo I've been loving the shampoo because it cleans her hair really well, but it doesn't leave her hair dry like before. I was using the Cantu cleansing shampoo, but it just really left her hair feeling dry and her scalp kind of feeling dried out. So I stopped using it and I tried this one out and I'm I really love it. So I focused the shampoo on her scalp, mainly just to get the scalp clean and get all the gel and the hairspray that was previously on her hair out, and then I run it down the rest of her hair and then I'm just gon na use the Bath water to rinse out the shampoo, but after I'm doing the conditioner and all that I'm gon na be using clean water. So don't worry about that! It'S gon na be all clean all right! So after I rinse out all the shampoo from her hair, I like to take the shea moisture, manuka, honey and mafura oil, intensive hydration hair mask at for her hair, and I've probably bought this product for five or six times. Definitely - and I take a good amount of it and I just lather her whole hair with it. I like to let this sit in her hair for 10 to 20 minutes, and this just works really well on her hair and I've tried a lot of hair masks, but this one is my number one favorite so far, so I like to just a lather it All through her hair and massage it into her hair, mainly at the ends and in the middle, and then I put it on the roots of her hair but yeah. So I'm gon na show you in a second how just how easily her tangles separate. So if you're gon na go and look for hair mask, I highly recommend this product for detangling and a deep conditioner. So after using my fingers to detangle the big tangles in her hair, I like to use this ion brush. It'S pretty much the same thing as a Dem and Emin brand brush, but I'm pretty sure it works the same exact way and it's just a lot cheaper. So if you're looking for our brush, I would definitely try this one out. I used to use the a wide tooth comb to detangle her hair, but this one works so much easier like the little bristles get inside the tangles and it just works way faster than using a wide tooth comb. But if a wide tooth comb works for you, then go ahead and use that one. But this one just works really well for her hair and really quickly to detangle all right. So after the conditioner than sitting in her hair for about 10-15 minutes in the shower cap, I take the clean water from the faucet and rinse out her hair. I leave a little bit of conditioner left in her hair. I don't fully take out all of the conditioner. It just leaves her hair really soft and smelling good. So I like to do that and I like to use not hot water and not cold water, but but warm water to rinse out her conditioner. Alright. So right out of the bath, I grab my kinky curly knot today, leave-in conditioner, I bought this conditioner multiple times it's the product that I probably can't live without for her hair. So I highly recommend this it just. It helps with the tangles so much and it doesn't leave your hair feeling greasy or too heavy or oily or anything like that. So for her hair, I love it and I mean if you watch my other curly hair video for her. You can see that I used that for her hair, so it makes her hair so easy to tangle, and I use that on refreshing days like when I don't wash your hair and I just want to comb through it. I use water. I get our hair damp and I used that, but I just get it and I just run it through her whole hair right out of the bath when our hair is still really wet. So I just call my fingers through it, so it's evenly distributed. So, after all of that is in her hair, I like to get a microfiber towel. This one is an actual like hair wrap so like this I'll try to find it in link it in the description box or something very similar to this. So you guys can check it out, but they have it. You know my Target or Walmart, so I have her flipper head over here. Look your head: okay, you're out of frame yeah! Okay, so I have her flip her head over like this, and then I just put it on all right, so I put it around like that turn around me and it's just really convenient to step at all. So after I put this towel on, I usually just let go like this, so I can like loosen up the hair a little bit underneath and then yeah. I just let her keep it on until anything yeah. I just let her keep this on for like 20 minutes or whatever it's just, so it's not dripping wet. So I let her change and put her clothes on and yeah. So now I'm gon na go get change and then we're gon na get back to the video so bye, all right, so after she's done getting out of the bath and putting her clothes on. I like to use this miss jessie's, jelly soft curls gel. It'S a very light, hold lightweight gel and it smells so good. It smells like fresh clothes or just a really fresh smell and she likes the smell. So that's a plus and I like to use it for her hair because it's like, I said it's lightweight, so it won't make your hair crunchy or anything like that. It'Ll just really help with the definition of the curls and also, as you can see, I'm not taking section by section and putting product in that way. I'M just loosely running my fingers through her hair, like I did with the kinky curly leave-in conditioner. So this really works the way I do it like this so and then after I just like to scrunch up her hair just to help with the bounce of her curls just get her get the curls bounce back. I also have her flipper hair back and forth from side to side and then just scrunch it on both sides also just to help the hair at the top of her head kind of get that scrunch as well, not just at the bottom. So that's another technique that I like to do all right. So that's all the product I'm gon na put in her hair when it's wet so I'll, be back when her hair is all dry and we're just gon na separate the curls and give it some more volume say: bye, bye, alright. So this is about two and a half hours later and her hair is completely dry. I let it air dry and, as you can see, it's a little bit frizzy, but that's because she was rolling around on the ground and playing like a kid does. So that's gon na happen, but now I'm just gon na separate her curls and I like to put a little bit of oil on my hands on my palms and like between my fingers when I'm separating just to help lessen the frizz, and I think I use Tea tree oil, but you can use any oil you have really, and it just makes the hair really really shiny and, like I said it helps with reducing the frizz. So when I'm separating the curls, I like to take the big chunks of curls that are all together and just separate them and yeah, so you're, just gon na see a little time-lapse of that and enjoy all right. So here's her hair, mostly separated and as you can see, it's just super gorgeous and juicy and healthy-looking - and I don't know who put this pic inside the cheese at bat. But I didn't even notice. But next I'm just gon na pick out her hair for that extra volume and just enjoy this part, because it's just so super satisfying just fluffing it all out and seeing the finished result - and this is gon na - be my last step in her hair routine and As you can see, it was pretty simple and pretty easy. I didn't use that many products, but what I've learned by doing her hair is that it's all just trial and error and with try new products and some products are not gon na work. Some products aren't gon na work really well and they might not work for you, but you know you know you never know if you don't try them out for yourself, so it's all learning process and I'm really loving, taking care of her hair and like teaching her. What is good for her hair and what's not good for her hair, because one day, I'm not gon na be here to do it for her so yeah. I hope you guys enjoyed and learn some new techniques and saw some new products that you might want to try for you or your kids, but yeah. Thank you so much for watching this video and continuing to support me, and I love all of you and see you in my next video

Breanna Mahmood: I have a mixed daughter due next month. I applaud you for not only prioritizing your daughters hair during bath time and financially/ emotionally investing in good products, but teaching her life long wonderful hygiene habits to maintain her beautiful natural bouncy curls. Because of you she will spend the rest of her life remembering how much love and patience mommy put into her hair and it will bleed into her daily life as an adult. Awesome parenting !

Lanee Kersey: Your daughter has such beautiful hair. I wish my curls were that nice

Tea Time: I love seeing non black women handling their black kids hair I wish my mom knew

rama: I love seeing a mom understands her daughter's hair I’m a girl with curly hair and my mom, sister has straight hair ‍♀️so nobody understands my hair and take care of it the way it should

Hannah Chambers: I feel like this generation wants to learn how to take care of the curls rather than just treating it like straight hair

Rachel Cunningham: My daughter and her have the same exact hair and it’s so funny because we use the same exact things. she’s beautiful ❤️

Lonna Bunny: She’s such a cutie! And her hair looks extremely healthy and beautiful

Selah Honey-Benke: Thanks so much for sharing this, and incidentally, I love how your daughter blows bubbles and plays with the items around her, using her imagination instead of needing a screen to be calm. Awesome hair video!

Caprice Mccurdy: I LOVVE how your teaching your daughter how to take care of her hair....I wish I had a mom like u growing up

꧁ Orlando Cruz ꧂: OMG! Your daughter is going to be a pro at doing her hair when she’s a bit older and she might even have her own hair and makeup YouTube videos. I can see into the future.

Sana Sheikh: I have dead straight hair naturally idk why im watching this but its so interesting and shes soo beautiful wow ❤️

kurlykaitlyn: My mother was never so sweet, gentle and loving to my hair as you are for your daughter! Shes so lucky to be having her curls properly cared for so early! My hair was a wavy frizz brush for years until my late teens I stopped brushing and using sulfates and such and I realized I have VERY curly hair

Zoe Edmonson: i loved watching this! i have 3b textured hair too and it’s lovely to see such a young girl rock her curls! i never liked having curls growing up but now i love them so it’s beautiful to see younger girls love their curls, too!

Veronica Sanchez: Oh man I love this video! My little girl is mixed and I have a hard time figuring out what works for her specific curly hair type, and your little girl’s hair looks like my daughters hair to a tee! I can’t wait to try this routine on her, I’m excited to see the result!!!!

Celina Anglemyer: Your daughter is adorable I have a similar hair routine for mine

So Cr: Love seeing a mom care enough to learn about her daughter's hair texture to style it naturally. Great job mom!

Caitlin Kawuki: I’ve been following this same routine for my daughter who also has 3b curls for a year now and it’s worked so well for her! Thanks for doing your research! It has worked wonders for my daughter’s hair!

Khuyy: She is adorable! I love that you have learned how to style her curly hair. As a curly girl, I think it's so important!

Tess: Oh my gosh her hair is absolutely GORGEOUS and looks so healthy you're a great mama for taking such good care of her beautiful natural curls

Molly: Look at this little QUEEN! Helping her understand her hair now will help her develop such a healthy relationship with it, and will help her confidence so much. Mia is so pretty!!! I’m a 3a mixed girl (caucasian/middle eastern) and wish I would have known sooner how to love my hair, but have finally found the confidence to rock it as an adult.

Love & Light: My daughter has a similar hair texture and I struggle with getting her curls to pop I always just braid it but thank you for this. I think it’s awesome that you’re teaching her how to care for her own hair. This will save her money later on and also help with how she carries herself as a woman. I ordered the towel thanks for the link

alissa horan: Her hair is stunning, wow! Good job mom!!! Thank you for being so dedicated to her hair, you can see how confident it makes her!!! I clicked on video because I was like holy shit, that looks just like my hair. I’m only one year into loving my curls and I’m almost 30, so thank you for taking such good care of hers!!!! I’m biracial and family didn’t know what to do so they just kept my hair brushed out and in a bun. I have very fine 3b hair and now you’re making me wanna try these products. Your daughter is gorgeous!!!!

Egypt: I wish my mom took care of hair like this when I was younger. Your daughters curls are beautiful

V N: Your daughter is very cooperative! And seems to love wash day. Mine does not! Tears every time Her scrunching her own hair is the cutest! I enjoyed the video. Curly hair is a task but we must learn one way or another.

He leaves the 99: My daughter is mixed and has similar hair. Same curl pattern when wet just a little thicker. People don't realize just how tangled their hair can get! Thank you so so much for the video.

Lily_of_the_Forest: Beautiful hair! Your daughter is so lucky. My hair was very curly when I was young and my mom had no idea what to do w/ my “bird’s nest” as the mean adults called it. I always looked awful. People said lots of other insults. Grew up hating my hair. Punished it for being “like a sheep dog” by keeping it is a ponytail or buns for years. Glad your daughter won’t go through that.

Michelle Snyder: She is going to thank you to the ends of the earth when she gets older for keeping her hair so healthy and teaching her how to take care of it!

corpusdelectable: First--oh my gosh, your daughter is so absolutely beautiful! That smile and those eyes--just light everything up! Secondly, I have never had 'hair envy' so bad in my life. Wow--those curls are luscious! So shiny and healthy looking, they look amazing and suit her so well! Lastly, you are such a great mom to spend the time to take great care of her hair. I remember when I was younger, my mom would always spend time detangling my super fine hair and also styling it in pigtails or buns or braids for school. I loved spending that time together, and I know your daughter does and will appreciate these moments you share over her hair. :)

Toon She: Great job, your daughters hair looks so healthy. I'm going to make sure my kids love their curls whenever I have some lol.

Ana Infante: My daughter has amazing curls like that too and I'm struggling to learn how to take care of. This was definitely helpful

Darlene Tillman: My daughter is 17 and I remember those days dealing with her 3 b hair. She still lets me do her hair❤️

DuckAndKim Vlogs: I’ve never thought of separating the bigger curls that are stuck together like that. That’s a great technique. Love the volume she gets...going to try this on my girls hair. ❤️

TheBelovedbrat: Curly hair is so beautiful, and so hard to take care of <3 Kudos to you for taking such good care of your children's hair and teaching them along the way

Lindsay Bond: Awesome work mama!!! Love this!! Trying out your process and products on my 4 year old this weekend. ❤️

Allison Price: My daughter’s hair is exactly like this! The length, color, curl pattern/size. Twins!! This was super helpful. I really liked the finished look after separating the curls and using the pick. She’s starting school soon and although we do wet it and apply a moisturizer in the mornings, I’m not sure I can perfect it like you did since her hair won’t be dry unless she gets up 2 hours before school (unlikely ). Maybe after school Ill start applying some oil and touch it up. Love it!

Catalina Mousai: My baby sis has hair just like Mia’s and these videos have helped with her hair so much!!! ❤️❤️

Carolina Senne: Amei os cachos!!! Parabéns pela iniciativa!!! Mostrar como é possível cuidar dos cabelos das crianças em casa!!! Linda

Dorrance Davis Firooznia: Thank you so much for sharing and encouraging natural curlies to accept and love their curls! I wish my mom had spent the time and energy to walk me on the path to curl care. to you!!

Emily Leinicke: She is so cute!!! A little older than my daughter, but same 3B hair as I am learning about today. This video made me cry of joy. Thank you Mia and Brittany!

Hannah Hartley: This is so helpful! My stepdaughter has curly hair and mine is pin-straight, so I had no idea how to take care of curls. Can’t wait to try these products on her!

KSD D: Your adorable daughter has the most beautiful hair in the world❤️! My son has the same type of hair, I had his hair cut after the lock down since it was way too long for a boy, unfortunately after the haircut his curls don't stay curl towards the ends, so basically he has beautiful big curls near the scalp and what looks like an afro on the top. Would you know how to recover damaged curls due to haircut... . S.O.S from a mother to mother .. Thanks

Michal Jo: She’s so cute and has beautiful hair! I don’t even have a kid or curly hair but I like to watch other people do their hair lmao

Celia Mitchell: I'm so glad all curly hair types are getting respect. I have 3B curls. Years ago I went to a salon and was made to feel like my hair was a problem. There wasn't an knowledge of curls or any curly hair products available. ( As a kid my mom DIXIE PEACHED ME.) As an adult I permed my hair straight and my scalp was always sore and it kept breaking off. But a few years ago I went to a mall in ATL ,GA. , LO AND BEHOLD I SAW THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SIGHT. A SEA OF CURLIES OF ALL TYPES. So teach your babies to love and care for their curls.

Mina Makes: That was so helpful! Thank you! Going to try this on Mina’s hair!

Summer Hill: Love the video! My daughter has very curly hair and I’ve been struggling with keeping it moisturized so I think I’m going to add the mask you use. Thank you! I may have missed it, but how often do you usually do a full wash day like this?

Danielle Baumgartner Tippens: So jealous of those curls!! My hair is fine and straight and I've always wanted curls

Kamila Alexis: Beautiful hair. My daughter has similar hair, she is almost 8 and I am still struggling! I have no problem making her curls look nice the day of the wash, the problem is the following day or any day that is not a wash day! Her curls are nice and bouncy the day of, but as soon as she sleeps on them, or actually it isn't just sleeping, but also just having it out for a day, the curls get super tangled. I keep reading, don't brush curls, only after washing and conditioning, but if I don't brush my daughter's hair for just one day, it accumulates tons of lint, it is stuck at the center of each tangle and I need to brush out daily to keep her hair from becoming a giant nest. I wonder why her hair attracts so much lint and if everyone is having this issue. Not brushing daily is not an option because I know what awaits me if I start skipping days of fully brushing her hair out daily, every time I do that I regret it. Not only is it a lot of work, it also rips out a lot of her hair. But it means after I brush out her hair she no longer has the bouncy curls. What I have been doing is brushing it out and putting a bunch of rubber bands to keep it stretched a little which cuts down on tangles, and the time needed each day to brush out her tangles, which also saves a lot of her hair that I would otherwise be ripped out trying to get the tangles and lint out. But I wish she could have these shiny bouncy curls daily, since the result of what I do is usually a lot more frizz. So my questions are: what do you do when she goes to sleep? Leave it out, put it in braids...? And do you brush her hair daily or not, and if not, doesn't it tangle like crazy? I have a toddler too with even more curly hair. I spend so much time on blogs and watch tons of natural hair videos and I am still struggling daily with their hair!

Psychic Flux: Great video! Very similar to my routine. Definitely gonna take a few things from this.

Bailey Williams: My sons hair looks just like this! I've been doing similar but the extra steps will def help thanks!

Gladys Herrera: Your daughter is so smiley while you film her lol that is so sweet ☺️ Her hair looks amazing!

Maudie91: Thank you so much. My daughter has very curly hair and I have straight hair. This helps so much in learning how to care for her hair.

Shari Sanders: She is so precious! I love her curls! I always wanted curls like those!

Liliya Howard: Thank you for sharing your routine! I actually have a question: how often do you wash her hair with shampoo and what do you do to refresh between washes? Your daughter is beautiful and I think she has similar hair to my girls! I'm excited to try some of the products you're using!

Kayla Davis: I love this video! My 3b hair is very similar to your daughters except I’m 22. When I was her age tho it was just like that. But my mom didn’t know how to take care of textured hair so for the last 6-7 years I’ve been learning so much about my hair and doing A LOT of trial and error for products. 3b can be such a weird in between texture bc it doesn’t need as much moisture as kinky hair but it needs more moisture then straight hair. It takes a lot of learning of what the individual needs instead of what works for other ppl, just like you said. There needs to be more 3a-c hair vids like this one!

Caitlin Kawuki: Loved this video! Just had a baby that’s biracial and I love to use this routine on her! I do have a quick question. What products do you use to cowash? Thanks for posting.

Jennifer Defoy: she really does have gorgeous hair. she is just beautiful. so lucky to have a mom to take care of her like that. she will be happy about it later.

Joy'sCurls: What a lucky kid!!! Good job mom!❤ And she is SO cute!

berry: This is exactly like my hair . Finally I found someone with similar hair type and curls . I’ll definitely try some of these products. Thank you

Donna Louise Baza: Gorgeous hair she is so patient too and I could see she loves that mommy time.

StephiiUni: This is crazy! Your daughter has the same hair texture as me. My hair is just a tad bit thicker but WOW! I guess I have new hair routine for the summer. Thank you so much for making this video. You have a beautiful daughter.

sn tg: Beautiful curls. Nice job Mom!

Mrs. Dungy: Thank You! Such a great video! You both work so well together! You are so gentle and it is refreshing. Your daughter’s smile is everything! Thank You, again! Stay beautiful!

N Walsh: OMG! Your daughter has very similar hair to mine. Here is my three step process that works for me on already shampooed hair. Give it a try. Step 1: Hydration Elation by As I Am. Leave on for at least 5 hours no heat. Step 2: Wash out with Coconut Cowash by As I am. Step 3: Towel dry your hair and lather on Loreal New Air Dry It, Undone Style Cream. You'll get frizz-free, defined curls, that look shiny and moisturized. Also use a Denman brush to add more definition to your curls. You will be pleased with the results.

Ariyanna Aguilar: loved EVERYTHING about this video ! non curly-haired mom here with a curly headed baby my daughter is 2, do you think these products are safe for younger ones? or did you have a hair routine for your girl when she was younger?

Alyssa Zaid: Love! Love! Love! Thanks so much for sharing. I'm literally a product junkie :) so I will be trying and hopefully adding these to "products to keep" for my 3 girls

tatercat01: It’s so amazing that you and your daughter hav completely different hair types and both of your hair looks so beautiful and so healthy

Ashlie McClain: Beautiful!! Thank you so muchhh♡♡ I'm glad someone has this curly hair stuff down. I have been struggling for years!! My daughters hair was curly like this but then started getting weighed down as it got longer. I want her natural curls back!! I will try this.

Amy Jo: Absolutely gorgeous! ❤

Liza Paza: Mia’s very pretty . Well done mum - you are doing a fantastic job with her hair .

Anna Ibarra: Just gorgeous hair. The color & curls, curls, curls! She so cute. I will try it on my grand baby 4 1/2. Hope she lets me. Her mom always has it up & braided to avoid tangles.

Cc: My daughter loved the video :) can’t wait to give the products a try on her hair.

Joann Caporaletti: Fabulous! Great job, Mom. Natural beauties inside and out.

Stacy Sosa: Can’t wait to use all these products on my daughters hair She’s also mixed baby Hispanic and black and I never know what kind of products to buy to bring out her beautiful curls, her hair always looking dry

Brisa higgins: Your daughter is beautiful and her curls are poppin’

Annie: My daughter wishes she had defined curls like yours! They used to look that when she was little. Now that she is 9yrs, she has SO much thick hair and long her curl pattern became loose and frizzy. Still can’t find a way to keep her curls nicely defined without using mousse or gel ‍♀️

princesa p: Thank you so much for this video! I’m black,my husband is biracial, and our daughter’s hair is just like your sweet baby girl. I can do her hair perfectly fine but my products for my 4c hair don’t really work for her hair. I think the ones you mentioned might help. Thanks again

Ashley T: Omg her hair is beautiful!!! I hope my daughters hair looks like that when she gets older. She’s only 2 so its not too long and the curls change like everyday.

Cate Jackson: her curls are glorious!! the definition is so beautiful :)
